I leaned back in my chair and looked over at the man three tables down. Despite the no talking signs the man contiuously mumbled to himself. Every once in a while he would utter a sound of pure fear. He was reading a large, leather-bound book. I looked down at my electronic book pad and pressed the next page button. It beeped softly and brought up the next page of my book. Man- "No..." I looked at him again and frowned. He had gotten thinner. When I first saw him, he had at least twenty pounds more than he had now. Something in that book must be getting to him. I shook my head and rubbed my eyes. Perhaps one of these days I would go and talk to him. Not today however. I was already slightly late. "No..." He repeated. I stood up and walked to the front desk. The mans tourmented mumbles followed me all the way there. Ryan- "I'd like to check this piece of Technology out." The clerk looked at me and smiled. I was a regular. Clerk- "And what would be the title of your latest book Mr. Schezar?" I smiled. Ryan- " 'Books, And How To Defile Them'." The clerk gave me a disturbed little grin and snatched the pad away. It was really a book on Dark Magic. I needed to learn more to achive an ultimate state of control. She wrote down my name and the books name with a fountain pen on a piece of yellowing paper. She handed the book back to me and smiled. Clerk- "It will be due on the 42nd day of the Sky Season. Have fun." I walked out of the library and into the sunlight. People had small stalls set up all along the street. They peddled food, pottery, crude weapons and other things. Our only technology is that that has been left behind by the Ancients. It included books in small metal pads, very advanced hygene tools, and astronomy instruments. I walked down into the crowd and set out for the city gates. I would leave and walk out into the desert surrounding Malcolm. There I would meditate and sharpen my skills. Ryan- "Taxi!" A man in a pull-cart ran up to me. "City Gates. Three pieces of gold no matter how you get me there." The mans eyes lit up and he started to pull me to the cities gates. I felt that pull in my heart again and tilted my head up to the sky. Why did I keep looking at the sky? I shook my head and leveled it with the street. Staring at the sun did no good. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Man- "Weapons.... Necklaces.... Armour!? WHY!" The clerk at the desk looked at the man and gave him a shrewd frown. He contiued reading. The Book of The Crafters 'The weapons were stored in great vaults. Some in pairs, others alone, waiting for the chosen ones. I don't understand what compelled us to make these, only that it feels right. We are all but wiped out. Some dark disease is wiping us out slowly. I myself am infected. I will probably die shortly after writing this. I've said that before, haven't I. I am losing my memory too. The vaults can only be opened by the chosen ones. They have to... I can't... They must use their blood. The vaults will be invisible to all but the chosen. They will be marked with the symbol of the Ancients, our forefathers. A large eye with a tear running down the front will mark the entrances. You must figure it out from their. I have no more will to keep going. Who ever is reading this, make it known. Make it known that you must defeat Lasic, The Dark Lord.' Man- "Lasic..." The man grabbed the book and started to walk out of the library. Clerk- "Sir! That is for reference only!" The man glared at her and ran out.

Ok. Here it is. The finalized list. The long list of losers is: Blanko Jesus Chicken DeathKnight Char Lalaith Deedlit and Juu Yes, these are the unfortunate individuals that will be allowed to participate in this RPG. Those seven, plus me, are in the RPG. Arikel, you implimented the Dark Necklace into your life by saying that you already had it. The point of the "Desired Items" was something that you wanted, not something you had. Carren, you didn't put up your bio in time. I'm sorry I wasn't able to bring your character into consideration. I would have liked to see what you came up with. EFK (for that's who you will always be to me), I felt that your bio was just a bit linear. You stated that you were seeking the Stamina Armour. No one but a chosen character in the storyline knows about them yet. I did this little justification thing because I highly dislike when someone cuts people for no reason. ----------------- Now for the list of weapons and stuff. Blanko (Blanko has accepted) and Juu both have the options of selecting the second item I have offered them, or not taking it. The Crafters Blanko- (Speed Armour) (Earth Necklace) Jesus Chicken- (Mace of Destruction) DeathKnight- (Water Necklace) (Stamina Armour) Char- (Knife of Stealth) Lalaith- (Dark Necklace) (Sword of Longevity) Deedlit- (Light Necklace) Juu- (Wind Necklace) Optional: (Protection Armour) DOK- (Spear of Accuracy) (Fire Necklace) ---------------- Blanko and Juu, PM me if you wish to recive the optional items. ---------------- Peole with one item will find their weapon in the designated place. People with two will find theirs in pairs. ---------------- Have fun. The RPG is now up.
-
The woman was obviously not fit to be a mother. People like that should be sterilized. My personal opinion, of course.
-
You can't choose two necklaces Juu. And the cuts will be made tonight at 11:00 Central Time. If anyone wants to do any last minute editing I suggest you do it in the next seven or eight hours. Good luck and I'll see you all after I get off of work.

The zombies were falling like flies. My daggers were getting more and more covered with stagnant blood. I would throw one, watch it slice through a zombies head, throw another, jump down pick up the one I threw, throw another, and so on. I was getting closer and closer to the center of the city. The zombies were getting fewer and fewer. Soon this battle would be over. I jumped down to grab one of my daggers. An icy hand grabbed my wrist. I looked up into the empty eye sockets of a very old zombie. It uttered a guttural growl. I brought my sword up quickly and lobbed off the Zombies arm. It siezed up an the sharp fingernails plunged into my wrist. I yelled and slice it's head off cleanly. Three others turned to confront me. I started to rund over to the nearest tree. The zombies ran and followed me. I got about halfway up the trunk and felt another hand rip my ankle. I screamed as the shrap fingers hit my bone. Ryan- "Back!" I stabbed it in the face and watched it fall to the ground. I scrambled up the tree and watched the futile attemps of the zombies. They couldn't climb. Blood leaked from my ankle. The arm hanging from my wrist finnaly relaxed and fell off. Blood began to leak from their too. I sighed and sprinkled a bit of herb over my wounds. They began to heal immediately, and very painfully. The skin stitched itself over the bone and sprouted from assorted spots across my foot. I tilted my head back and drifted into an unsteady doze.

Anything you want Blanko. I want people to let their creaitve juices seep from their pores and into this RPG. ----------------- Name: Ryan Schezar Race: Langthian Age: 70 (appears 20) First Desired Item: The Spear of Accuracy Second Desired Item: For the fairness of people signing up, I will wait untill I make the cuts to choose my second item. Bio: The Langthians are direct decendants of Dark Wizards. The Dark Wizards fell from the eyes of this world three thousand years ago and recently came back into it by way of the Langthians. Very skilled in Dark arts, Ryan goes through the libraries of Malcolm attempting to better his skills. Ryan is very powerful already but nothing compared to some of the Langthinas out there. Lately, he has begun feeling a tug on his heart. It was as if a loved one was drawing near, but Ryan has been alone for his entire life. His heart, unlike many of his bretheren, is pure. He uses the Dark arts only as a way of meditation and defence. He finds himself jumping at shadows. He lays awake at night waiting for something, only to find that there is nothing to wait for. The sleepless nights and feelings of anticipation are beginning to take a toll on his body. He has become thin and casting spells has become difficult. And there has been this man in the library with him... He talks to himself and mutters about a man named Lasic (Lah-Sick). Unique Characteristics: Down his arms there are tatoos in the anicient tounge. Every once in a while they appear to Ryan in his language, but dissapear before he can read them.

I got an ok idea for an RPG during Geometry. Hope that doesn't discourage anyone. ----------------------------- The Legend 900 years ago, there was a race of great crafters. Out of the midst of their Kilns, their Furnaces, and their Quarries came great objects of power. Three suits of armour came from the furnaces of the south. The first was adorned with the gift of speed. Magicaly imbued for speed, the armour slowed down time for the wearer. The second was given the power of ultimate protection. It would make the wearers skin hard as rock. The last was gifted with stamina. One who wore this armour could go for weeks without sleep or enery depletion. From the sculpters of the east came six necklaces imbued with the elements of the world. The first, firey red, gave controll of fire. The second, a depp blue, relinqueshed the control of water, in all forms, to the will of it's master. The third, a combination of brown and vibrant green, controlled the earth and all it's plantlife. The fourth, a pale grey, gave the wearer control of wind. The last two necklaces are actually one necklace, split. They control the light, and all that is holy, and dark, and all that is evil. The owners of these two necklaces are bound by fate to fight side-by-side forever after the necklaces are joined. An out of the Quarries of the cold, far north came four weapons of stone. The first, a sword engraved with ancient runes, gave the gift of longevity. This weapon would extend a persons lifespan tenfold. The second, a knife encrusted with rubies, was imbued with stealth. The user would be able to sneak up on anyone and avoid being seen if they desired. The third, a mace with a large emerald in the ball, gave the power of destruction to the bearer. The mace can level buildings and decimate armies in seconds. This is the only weapon that has a drawback. Prolonged use can cause horrible strain on the body. The last and final item is a spear that is as white a marble. It was given the gift of accuracy. The spear wil never miss. It always hits it's mark. In the year of the Sun, a darkess will acend on this world. The seas will be poisoned. The deserts will burn. The forests will shrink. And the animals will die. The Lord of the Dark will emerge from his orb in the sky and rain down destruction upon this world. All will perish, unless the items are used to defeat Him. 1208, Year of the Sun, Season of the Sky The world had grown. People are many. Wars are often. One of the astronomers in the Capital City of Malcolm has spotted a comet that visits this solar system once every 3000 years. It's tail is a deep red and black. No one knows why. Strange things have been happening on the earth too. Earthquakes have been happening more often. Floods, fires, diseases, and many others things have been happening. Forests have been dying. Animals have been appearing less ans less often. Seas have been coughing up their life onto the shores. And one man in the depths of The Great Library of Malcolm has discovered the legend. ---------------- ---------------- Ok, afew things before I put up the requirements. The 'Second Desired Item' will be determined by the quality of your signup. If you signup is good you may get your 'Second Desired Item'. If it's poor, you won't. Request any item you want. There are limited spots and I may cut someone that has the same item as you. You may not request two weapons or two armours or two necklaces. Only one and another. Lastly, the Knife is taken. ---------------- ---------------- Name: Race: Be creative. I don't want just Elves or just Humans. Age: First Desired Item: Second Desired Item: Bio: Unique Characteristics:

Bleh... Oh well. I guess I'll have to try harder next time.

OOC: Miketsmith (Mike? Smith? Which would you rather be called?) Try using you name less. It get's rather repetitive. ----------------- I scaled the roof of the building with ease. I found footholds in the smooth limestone easily and without any effort at all. I was in pursuit of the demon once again. A slippery fellow he was. Winged and black. Hard to spot in the night sky. I scrambled across the roof and aimed three throwing daggers at the shadow in the sky. I heard one scream and heard two metalic clunks against the streets below. A small shower of black liquid covered my clothes. I barely flinched. Demon- "Leave me human. I have no quarral with you." I smiled and leaped another gap in the roofs. Ryan- "You may not have one with me. But I certainly have one with you. You destroyed a village. You must die." I threw another dagger. It ripped through his left wing. He started flying very irratically. I jumped off of the building and watched as the demon fell to the ground. I walked up and pressed my foot against his throat. "Your hide will make good grieves." I shoved my sword through his face. Black blood bubbled out and the demon twitched. I pulled out my sword and wiped it off. I cast a small teleportation spell and all of the demons skin dissapeared from his body. A rumbling sound rocked the air. I turned sharply around, clutching two throwing daggers and my sword. The earth started to crack and ands shot up. The hands were blue with death. "Zombies..." I climbed a tree easily and watched as the zombies rose and started to head toward the heart of the city. Naturally, I followed.

I held up a bowl of nectar to my dear friend. He drank deeply and made a small grunt of pleasure. Ryan- "I know. I'm nervous too. We will win." Yuroo's eyes smiled and he straightened up on his perch. Axel- "This beast yours?" I turned my head to see Axel striding into the doorway. I nodded. Ryan- "Yes. This is my Gigantor Moth. Yuroo this is Axel." Yuroo made a small buzz and flapped his wings a little. "Hold you breath for a second Axel. The dust from his wings can damage your lungs." Axel inhaled sharply untill Yuroo stopped flapping. "I've built up a defence against it after being with him for so many years." Axel let out his breath just as sharply as he took it in. Axel- "Quite a companion. Will he do it again?" Ryan- "He shouldn't. I accept you. He will soon." Axel nodded. I held up the bowl of nectar again. He bent down and drank, his large yellow eyes never leaving Axel. "Now... What of this weakness the King has found."

Nothing Final Fantasy has anything to do with anything Final Fantasy. All games are independant. The only thing that remains constant is the Cid thing. I didn't mind the movie. It was bad, but the amazing visuals made up for it (Aki's hair took five months alone). If they ever made a movie of FF VII the cast would either be no-bodies, or square would go broke from hiring all of the good actors/actresses. I thought there was an FF VII movie thread already...

I extended my hand to the Foxutar. Ryan- "I am Ryan Schezar of the Galdion Resistance. We are pleased to have you here." I moved cautiously over to the Lythanoid. I extended my hand to him, aswell. "Lacroix of the Lythanoid's, we welcome your help, whatever it may be." He looked at my hand for a moment. Lacroix- "A most curious custom. I will indulge your odd companionable gesture." He held out his own hand. I was met with four claws. Hesitantly, I shook his hand. I waited for the moment those claws would pierce my skin, purposely or other. It didn't come. I smiled at him and was met with an invisible stare. Ryan- "Soon, all will be here. Abnd we can start our conquest to the Plains."

I used to think Transtic was Transistic. That's about it.

Gaming What games have actually surprised you? (either fell short or surpassed)
Corey replied to severous84's topic in Noosphere
About three hours ago I bought Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain (The first, not second). I was hoping that it would be a good game. In only one way, it is. It has a good story. The graphics, even though they are old PSX graphics, are bad. I undestand that they are the best Silicon Knights could do but they give me a headache. For this I may sell it to my friend. The controlls are odd. It's too hard to make Kain move without hitting spikes or an enemy you were trying to get into range to hit. The game has to load to go into the inventory menu and to go to the world map. It's too much waiting. This game fell far short of my expectations. -
I stepped slowly from the shadows of a nearby building. Ryan- "The first battle, my comrades, will be at the Plains of Dystile. The Western forces have been massing there for months. We have let them be only because our numbers have been weak. Not everyone is here yet. Ten there must be. Six there are. On behalf of the resitance of Galdion, I invite you all to stay at the castle untill everyone arrives. Axel, I must speak with you." I motioned toward the opening gates of the castle and slowly pulled Axel away from the others. "We must be out of the range of Elvish ears by now..." Axel- "What is it?" I lowered my boice and looked into his eyes. Ryan- "Axel... They have Silvs." His eyes snapped open and his pupils became very small. Axel- "What do you mean? Who told you!" I grabbed his hand silencing him. Ryan- "Lower your voice. It was one of the scouters. He reported seeing an entire meadow filled with tied down Silvs." His head dropped. I looked at the group and saw the Elf, Ryowa, looking at me. I gave her my warmest smile. "The gates are just a bit further. We will be right there." Axel- "How could they get Silvs so fast? It takes years to breed Silver Dragons. They must have started when the war began..." I clapped a hand on his shoulder. Ryan- "We will talk of possible strategies tonight. I don't want to worry the others, although I belive that Ryowa has heard too much already." I picked up my pace and was soon at the front of the group. "Just a little further my friends. The warmth of the castle awaits." Ryowa grumbled but kept to himself. The castle gates creaked open and the six went in.

Indeed yours does seem to be the best signup here. Now let's get this RPG going, I'm interested in how it will progress.

I want that damn avitar... Anyway, I too enjoy reading. The only problem is, is that I don't have all that free time anymore. I used to be able to get home from schol, pick, up something to read for an hour or so, then do my homework, eat dinner, go to bed and read for another hour or so. Now I get home from school, go to work, get off at seven pm minimum, come home, eat, shower, and do homework. By then it's at least ten. Sometime later if they have me close. I simply don't have the time. So how do I make up for this lack of reading time? I go see the movies. LOTR one and two were great. I attempted to get into the books about three years ago and fail miserably. I couldn't get out of the prolouge of The Fellowship. The movie gripped me. I saw it three times and all three were great. I don't think it's a question of preference, I think it's a matter of time.

It looks kind of like a futuristic Lindblum... I wish that I could get FF:Online. My mom has outlawed it in our house just beause it has Online in the title. She is very wierd about online gameplay. She even made me get Starcraft off of our computer...

OOC: I forgot about this... How? Don't ask me that... ------------- IC: Finnaly. The gates. The clear, Elvin air had given the distance between me and Rivendell a magnified look. In fact, it had been much longer. I knocked on the gates and a Elf gaurd poked his head out of one of the view holes. Gaurd- "Who are you, Wizard?" He glared at me suspiciously. I smiled. Ryan- "My name is Ryan Schezar of the New Tower Durimil." The gaurd gave me a bewildered look and opened the gates. I walked in slowly, taking in the sights. The trees were so beautiful in Rivendell. So lush and full. Now was not the time to be taking in the sights. I was in a hurry. Later. I stepped onto the steps in front of the metting hall and hesitated. Perhaps they have already left. I shook my head. No, I can still feel the determination in the air. I knocked on the door and I watched it open slowly. Elrond- "You are late my friend." The entire group turned to look at me. "May I present our latest, and hopefully last, arrival, Ryan Schezar of Durimil the new Tower." I looked around at the wide assortment of races gathered here. This would indeed be a good Fellowship.

The water was so comforting. It flowed, without a second thought, around anything and everything. How calming. I slowly layed down into the stream, feeling the brisk water run across my human body. Although calming, my other form was not equipped with the many sences humans posess. It has but scent, hearing, and sight. Humans have touch. The most calming of all the sences. The flowing of water is especially calming. So calming... Ryan- "So calming..." I began to change. Slowly my head extended into the water. My arms lengthened. My skin grew smooth and black. My thumb melted into my hand as I felt metalic bones assert themselfves into my fingers and toes. The skin of my toes melted away, leaving the metal talons. My mouth changed, growing larger. Millions of microscopic teeth grew from my bones. My tounge became think and rough. Finnaly, my eyes grew large and multi-pupiled. I did an inward sigh as the feeling of the cold water melted away. To be utterly calm was to bring on my Shift. I could not have both serenity and feeling. I stood from the water and sighed, once again, as my talons scratched across the smooth bottom of the stream. I was disturbing the current. I should allow it to be on it's way and not have worry about me. I stepped out and into the moonlight. It shone off my slick body and gave me a slight glow. I walked, nimbly, into the forest and scraped some bark off of a tree. There was one thing god about not having the sence of taste. It didn't matter what your food tasted like. The bark of this specific tree was actually quite nutritious. I wouldn't need to eat anything for quite a long time. Far away bright lights shone through the trees. I looked toward them and sighed. It was the humans once again trying to capture one of us. I growled low, and began sprinting towards the helicopters. Gunshots rang out and I quickened my pace.

I never said there was. ;)

Wow, Raiha. Did you paint that?
