Um, I dunno about this topic........... It's really no one's business if you're a virgin or not, except your own. However I don't find anything wrong with my 'status' if you will, so anyway; I'm a virgin and d@mn proud, too.

Songs with lyrics that touch the heart...
I never had a dream come true 'Till the day that I found you Even thought I pretend that I moved on You'll always be my baby I never found the words to say You're the one I think about each day And no matter where that takes me to A part of me will always be with you
Thats what I'm feeling... :(
I'm sorry, Transtic :( It may hurt a lot, but I know you'll pull through **hug** BTW, that song is by S Club 7 or something. That's the only song I like from that group; in fact for a while when that song came out, the ONLY reason why I would even turn on the radio was to possibly catch hearing that song. *sigh* yep, that song speaks worlds to me, too.... If I had a friggin penny for every song that's a 'tear jerker' or 'strikes a chord' in me, I'd have money out the wazoo. So, lesse, here's a few off the top of my head: "I put my trust in you Pushed as far as I can go For all this There's only one thing you should know I tried so hard, and got so far But in the end, it doesn't even matter I had to fall, and lose it all But in the end, it doesn't even matter" In the End by Linkin Park "Memories are just where you laid them Drag the waters 'til the depths give up their dead What did you expect to find, Was there something you left behind Don't you remember Anything I said when I said Don't fall away, and leave me to myself Don't fall away And leave love bleeding in my hands, In my hands again Leave love bleeding in my hand, in my hands Love lies bleeding Hold me now, I feel contagious Am I the only place that you've left to go? She cries her life is like Some movie black and white Dead actors faking lines over and over and over again she cries Don't fall away, and leave me to myself Don't fall away" Hemorrhage (In My Hands) by Fuel well, I was gonna post more, but methinks it'd take up too much space. And instrumentals, esp. instrumentals w/ strings, always 'strike a chord' with me'; like the bow itself is playing my own heart strings. K,..... I'll stop now... :cross: -
Originally posted by masterfork I'm sorry, I have never played Schmidt, but I'll see what I can do about getting the music to that =]. Anyway, if you do want to hear some stuff that I played, there's a thread somewhere that I started with some stuff, including the zelda theme.. Jeez those recordings suck, too many mistakes - I get fishy around tapes =]. Yah, so if I somehow end up with the music, I'll play it through. (oh, I did meet Adam today =])
Heh, yeah, I know what you mean about getting 'fishy' when you're being recorded. So you met Adam?? Post in the "Masterfork and I" thread, tell about y'all's visit! :)
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve I read it all... Now like i said, a cult is not always a bad thing... I said that in some post up there... dunno where... but It's not bad... everything is a cult... believe in god, don't believe in god.. it's a cult... and it's not bad... Now... uhh I know nothing about Pro-Mormon things nor do i know anything about Anti-Mormon things... however to even THINK that some religion that worships Jesus and God is EVIL of all things... good god you must have a 10 foot poll up your @ss! I don't think ANY religion is evil, even Satanism... It's all just a blief and a belief, even if you think is wrong, should ALWAYS be respected.... You may be a good follower of your relgion but for Kami-sama's sake, it doesn't take but a person to have Respect....
Thank you Transtic, I appriciate your point of view. :)

How many of you like to go to parties? (not bday partiez)
Originally posted by Master O Beans Well, you may not be "better than thou" but you're certainly stonger :) I comend you. :D
Thanks :) , I was afraid of coming across as stuck up or something, cause that happens sometimes. (referring to 'better than thou'; that's what my friends say I come across as when I talk to them about they're social life) -
Originally posted by masterfork Yes, I have been playing piano for 11 years. No, not because I'm forced, but because I enjoy practicing for hours at a time. I do a bit of my own composing, but nothing that goes down on paper. Basically, I have an ongoing improvisation which changes as I figure out how things sound better, with things borrowed from classical music (such as a chord progression), but with jazz elements. I have played violin for 6 years now, but I have slacked off and focused in more on piano.
dude that's awesome, I love hearing people play the piano. Have you ever played anything by Jon Schmidt?? If I ever hear you play "All of Me" I'll worship you forever :D sorry, but I absolutely love that song, and I've yet to hear anyone play it beside Scmidtty himself in a concert.

Anna replied to Will2x's topic in General Discussion
"Objectives eat dance get drunk get high make out" hmm............... I never been to parties that include the 3rd and 4th objectives, probably cuz I don't find that sort of thing appealing at all. If any of you actually knew me, then you'd know I seriously have no need for drugs of any kind; I'm 'high' enough by myself (heh  ). Yup, that's right, 17 and I haven't been to any drinking/smoking parties. And WHADYAKNOW I know just as many people as those who do party, and I actually remember them! *gasp* Sorry, I know I may come across as 'better than thou' about this, but I have a couple of friends of mine (yes, really close good friends) who have taken up to party-ing. They have gone downhill soooooooo much, they're almost different people, and we've grown apart a lot. I see what it does to someone, and it's definately not for me. -
Amibasuki, as most of you may know, is my younger sister. She came on, I don't know when. She was on the computer ALL THE FRIGGIN TIME! I was like, 'WHAT are you doing?! what is this?!' And she's like, 'oh it's this really cool little message board thingy!' And I'm like, 'yeah'. Couple o months pass, summer vacation, I'm sick and homebound (most awful thing in the world), I give in, and Stephanie registers me under the name of SuperRadSkitzo. From that day forward, I have come..... and you all are soooooooo happy I have! heheee.. :D
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve If they even bothered to look up the word "cult" they would seee that themselves are indeed a cult......

Originally posted by BabyGirl Eh...I was just wandering by and read this whole Mormon stuff, and to tell you the truth, that's what I've been taught as well, that they're some sort of cult. Now, I'm not saying whether I agree or disagree, because I'm not too sure myself. I find it odd that one religion (I myself was/kinda still am a Methodist) could call another religion a cult. If we're all in it for God in some way or another, why is it such a big deal?
I really don't know why some people make everything out to be a big deal. Go figure. Now, the literal term of 'cult' applies to just about all religions, yes; getting together to worship a one thing blah blah or whatever the definition is. However you and I both know that nowadays the interpertation of 'cult' is the stereotypical animal sacrfices, weird chanting and who knows what else (I wouldn't really know myself). Now, seeing as I am a Mormon myself, and would know more about Mormons than anyone on this board, I would therefore know if we had any 'strange rituals' or whatever. Sure, we have our differences from the Methodists and the Southern Baptists and Catholics, but those differences are not paganistic and evil. My gosh, I would not be Mormon if this were so! And I find it very insulting to me and all I hold dear for some people to think that I go to church to slaughter a sheep! To lay to rest all this crap about Mormons being cultists (aside from all religions being cults in the literal sense): Sorry to say this, but it's the only reason I can come up with, but some of your pastors/preachers/etc. must be lying to you so you won't investigate The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There is nothing evil, or.. I dunno, strange, or..... heck, I have no idea what some people think! There is nothing like that in the Mormon church. NOW, I mentioned 'anti-Mormon crap', know what that is? Precisely in and of itself CRAP. In the 'early days' of the church when the gospel was being restored, some things occurred and took place that are not mainstream... at all. Some people just couldn't accept these things, and what has happened over the course of over a hundred years are lies that stemmed from half-truths: Someone would take a fact, rather a part of a fact, and then embellish upon it, and say that 'it's true that you believe balha blah and blah because I read it in this book'. yyyyeah, buddy that book was written to bash a religion,...... what kind of person writes a book to tear apart someone's beliefs?? And you're going to follow what this person says? Anyway, if there are any rumors pertaining to 'cultish' things in the Mormon religion, chances are they came from some lie or misunderstanding, and are not true. It really .... upsets me when people don't try to find things out for themselves, and just accpet what is told to them. It applies to anyone who doesn't give their intellect the credit of allowing a choice to be made, because one has sought out options for themselves. If you've heard that Mormons are cultists and you wanna find out if this is true or NOT- hey, ask a Mormon! Or read pro-Mormon literature that will explain the principles of the church (as opposed to anti-Mormon literature, which is the evil most people are actually reading about), either way, find out for yourself. That's what I've done; I took my religion and studied it, found out all I could. I even went so far as to read a little bit of anti stuff (so I know what I'm talking about). After a while I was able to discern what was true, and after finding facts and a lot of sincere prayer, I knew that the Mormon church was true, and I knew what was true about it. I've also studied other religions, and compared the Mormon truths to other things other churches teach. I found the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to have the most answers out of all of them. Okay well, I've written enough............. heh, I doubt anyone will actually read all the way thru this....... oh well....
Originally posted by Smoky Joe Yeah. I love High school, a lot. They barely give homework and you can get away with almost anything.
whoa, what grade are you in? I'm a junior and have 5-6 subjects of homework every night (including two AP classes). I get homework alright, it's the socialization part that keeps me going. :p :D

ey yo, calm down. School--and everything else in life for that matter--is what you make of it. If you're thinking school sucks and blah blah blah then, yeah, it probably will. If you give it a chance and try to find the good points, it's not so bad. And are you high school yet? If not, trust me, high school is worlds better than junior high/middle school...

I haven't skipped yet. lol, yet. This year is too important, but next year, some friends of mine and I are going to just keep driving when we pass the school. We have it all planned out, too. Persoanlly I think skipping school in and of itself is pretty stupid. Like, when we take our little 'holiday', it'll be on a day where no tests are scheduled, and probably on a Friday, nothing serious. But sacrificing education for laziness just makes no sense, you'll end up nowhere.
Originally posted by Smoky Joe B & W is a "God Simulation" where there's no wrong decision. But I advise all people with even a little Ego to clear away from this game, or else your Ego will boost to new heights.
heh, guess I shouldn't play it.... -
I study psychology myself (independently, the school I go to has a half-semester class, and from what I've heard it teaches nill. That's where Barnes and Nobles comes in...;) ) and I've often thought about this myself. When looking at personalities, I tend to take the behaviourist perspective: "views personailty as merely a reflection of the person's learning history"; and also the situational and interactive perspectives. So, my opinion is that maturity come through experience. What makes someone mature? What makes someone immature? I don't think age is a factor in the slightest, though in some cases it may be relevant. From the time a person is a child, their entire environment molds them, and since so many people have been brought up so many differnent ways--therefore being exposed to different degrees of difficulty, loss, or lack thereof--it would be hard to try and pin-point a one single thing that matures a person. It's very individualistic, but I still think that a person's trial and error experience plays a major role.
