This thread is just a spur-of-the-moment-type. So I'll get straight to the point.

What the heck are you going to do this summer?

Alright, I know its probably still too early to make plans for the hot wax summer time, but I'm curious if anyone is going out of state or out of the country. As for those who are going to summer school, I give you my deepest sypathy, truly I do. As for the rest of you, care to share?

I plan on taking summer sessions in college. I'm registered for one art course and one computer art course. Both beginning classes. I didn't want to load myself down with core classes...I would hate to take an English or Math fast-track course. :animeshy: I also, hopefully, will get a summer job with EB games. I got a call for an interview. Hope that goes well. *crosses fingers* Other than that I don't have any plans...I used to have so much more fun when I was younger. *sigh*

Im going goblin hunting up in the caves near where i live. they have been quiet all winter, as usual, but during the warm summer nights they tend to wander about and steal the local peasants and their sheep.
With me being a LvL 67 trapper, me and my trusty wilderbeast sgt.snaps are entrusted to protect the people.
If anyone wants to help and take a share in the goblins loot feel free to PM me, i'll even lend you a bow, although you have to provide the string, im not that rich...yet.

I want to accomplish quite a few things this summer, so I'll start. First of all, I'm very happy that I'm graduating this year--it means that I can finally get on with my life. My goals for the summer, however, are pretty simple: Get my Driver's License( I took the test 3X, not including the one from Driver's Ed, and I failed all of them. It just takes me a while, that's all), find myself a job that I can do well at, perhaps take some more classes at the college, talk to representatives from the state Universities, and start looking at places to move into.

I'm definently going to be in the Talented Twenty at my school, so I have first dibs on any Florida college. Also, with my grades as they are, I'll definently get a State Scholarship, and even a Presidential Scholarship if I'm lucky.

Also, I'm not that eager to move out, as that means leaving my dog behind. He's my baby, and he hates it when I'm gone. We sleep in the same room, so I imagine that he'll be a wreck for a while. Still, it's a necessary change, and I am ready to get a jump start at it.

I don't have any real concrete plans for the summer yet. I do want to get in shape however, cuz I've been slacking alot more than usual lately. I plan on having a couple o' pool parties and getting some girls around me, cuz I recently became available. Just hanging with my friends is the only certainty though.

I do plan on doing alot of swimming and playing some hoops. Practicing my martial arts, hopefully getting my black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Might go by the beach and hang out. I'll have my license by this summer, so that should prove most interesting.

Alot of gaming will occur, that is for sure. I'll probably beat Resident Evil 4 for the 5th time, as with Metal Gear Solid 3. I'm trying to get my hands on Subsistence and Mortal Kombat: Deception. So yeah, lots of gaming.

I guess you'll be seeing me on the OBs a whole lot aswell.

I suddenly feel alot more lame than I usually do.

I'm going to be doing a lot of what can accuratly be described as 'Sitting on my ***' combined with 'Losing at the new Tomb Raider game'. Why losing, you ask? It's hard to play with one hand.

*zing*

Lame joke. But seriously, I'm going to do **** all for the majority of the summer. I don't, y'know, do uhh... anything. I can't even play video games online because my internet react negativly to the summer heat and laggs rediculously, although it laggs fairly rediculously on a good day. I also, frankly, hate the summer because of the heat. Give me cold and grey any day...

I hope to get a job and get a car. And maybe some extra cash for a new guitar. I'd really love a Les Paul.

This'll be my last summer before college so i just hope it's a good one.

This summer I'm spending every day at the barn where I horseback ride, working there like I did last summer. I'm going to take my horse to a few shows and my parents are sending me off to film camp for a week in Florida which should be fun...thats basically my summer. Also one last thing I'll probably go up to my cottage every once and awhile...

I've got a PC, an ISP, Guild Wars Factions, and no friends. Looks like another summer of gaming and listening to HIGH and MIGTY COLOR for me.

and by the way, The13thMan, I've tried a Les Paul, and in my opinion, they are way too over rated. Now BC Rich Warlock. That's a guitar :)

My plans for the summer are to do a lot of hiking with my friends. Playing games watching anime; going to the movies and basically taking it easy. Usually I take a lot of classes and work extra hours at my job. But this time I decided I wanted my summer to actually be a little more restful or at least be filled with more of the activities I enjoy doing.

So I set my schedule up so that I only have classes twice a week and since my job is really working as a volunteer at the Women?s Crisis Center it was pretty easy to get a schedule of only coming in three times a week.

In the past few years it?s been rare to get a four-day weekend so I?m really looking forward to having an entire summer of them. :)

Like every Summer, I plan on learning to touch-type. Like every Summer, I'll get distracted by bees or something and won't do it. Eternal two-finger typist, right here.

Otherwise, I'm going to Play Festival in Shropshire to brush up my firestaff / poi skills with a bunch of pyromaniac nutters.

I hope to get a job at the local Starbucks. If it ever opens.
I actually have the application sitting right next to me, but it still needs to be filled out.
If I got a job there, there is a smallish chance I'd be working with two very good friends who also wanted to apply. Like Michael said, "It'd be like a party at work everyday!"

If that doesn't work out, I plan to attempt to get a tan. Every year I tell myself, "Okay Steph. Go outside for an hour and try to get some color. And do it tomorrow. And the next day..."
But, my self-diagnosed ADHD distracts me.

If my tanning and job don't work out, I plan to have a bunch of fun hanging out with my friends. And seeing ones that I haven't seen for nine months or more.

I shall do what I do every summer: Road trip to Anime Expo in Anaheim, California!!

Pretty much that is where all my money ends up going and this year will be no exception. The high price of gas plus the cost of hotel room, food and the con itself will zap my "fun money" leaving me with very little in terms of options as to what else I can do besides just sitting in my backyard. LOL

The rest of the summer I will probably be doing odds and ends like hanging out with friends, maybe a few road trips to Seattle, BBQ's and my year around crafting/cosplay projects. Currently I am working on making my own Kon from Bleach. If you are going to AX you'll be able to see him!

My plans this summer include doing a lot of picture restoration and scrap booking. I have pictures from over 10 years worth of trips to Yellowstone National Park with my family. I?ve been meaning to get them done and I?m only just now getting to it. I?m currently finishing up one of trips to all the national parks in Utah, once that is done I?ll start on the other.

And since I?m not longer on the road I?m planning on doing a bunch of hikes this summer as well. There are a number of great spots to hike to that I haven?t been to in years.

My family use to go on vacation during the summer but now we either go just before the big rush or just after. And this year we will be going to Yellowstone National Park near the end of September. As big as that place is, there are still hikes (ones that are less than a day that is) that we have yet to go on.

The American summer is winter here in Australia, but that's okay because I love winter. Oh, holidays! I have three weeks left of my first semester of university and I'm living for the holidays. Not that I'm not enjoying uni, but it'll be good to have some time off for a while.

I don't really have any plans. Just spending the time with my good ol' buddies from school. And working a bit too. It's my birthday in July, so I'll do something then. It'll probably involve being dragged by my friends to a nightclub/casino or something. Good times, anway.

There's not much I can really do this summer other than kick back for another year. (Frankly, I've been kicking back a little too long) Sure I've been working and going to college and all, but when done with that I usually just come home, come on the computer, play some type of game, watch some type of anime, watch a movie or just go to sleep. I would try to go to an anime convention but sadly I don't know any that're in Detroit. And besides, the gas prices are crazy at the moment.

I may do a little looking into schools for construction this time around. Time for me to learn something new. I hear the money is good in that. I may even decide to get a new job.

As far as hanging out and such.... I won't do the theatre's anymore..... (got into a fight the last time I went, and their prices are too high as well.) I may go bowling or something. Hell, I may even just decide to get in my car and just drive around in Downtown Detroit.

In short, I'm not sure what I'll be doing this summer.

School, work, and more school.

I homeschool, and school through the whole year so I can graduate early and work full time for a few years before college so I can afford to go to the one of my choosing, if my step-father permits.

But anywho, I don't really have much plans for the summer. I was hoping to maybe hang out with my friends some, but it's very unlikely.

Oh, but I am taking two weeks off in July to see my dad in Michigan. That should be fun.

I don?t have any big plans for the summer. Once school is out my Mom usually takes me and my Dog up into the mountains to go hiking on some of the lighter trails several times a week through out the summer.

The rest of my time is spent living at the library and watching lots of anime with my friends. I love getting new books to read, taking a blanket outside with my Dog and curling up on the blanket in the shade to read for hours at a time. ^_^

....That is a crime that is even worse than death!

However I do admire what you are doing Sakurasuka, but goodness if I never got a break from my school I think just may go insane. I give props to you for doing that though.

As for me I will be doing the same thing that I did last summer. Working, Its not that bad though. Atleast I get some Info on some electrical and mechanical workings and I get money. I like money. What I like about it though is that I only have to work four days a week and I get fridays off. I can use that time to plot...things.
