The one trouble with being a savior of the world is, you never get a chance to say "no". "So you tell me that thing can let me travel to another dimension?" William asked. "Well, yes!" Tempomon matter-of-factly retorted. "Where did you think I came from?" "I know, I know! I just wasn't aware I was supposed to get there!" Tempomon rolled his eyes. "You're a digidestined, a chosen child." he was glared at. "Ok, maybe not that much a child anymore, but you get the point." "Errr... I suppose. So you say I put it to the screen...?" William said uncertainly. "Yup! And now... Digiport Open!" Tempomon yelled. *Digiworld travel sequence* They landed in a flower. William rubbed his head. Not only because it's hard to belive you're standing on the edge of a petal with the thickness (and elasticity) of a mattress, but also because a headache was creeping on him. Behind him was a T.V. set. Well, at least its not a mystical stone ring with weird marking. He though. Tempomon was looking over the edge and slightly dizzy. "What's going on?" William asked. "This isn't a remake of 'Honey, I shrunk the kid', is it?" "Nope, it wouldn't be even if I knew what it is. We're simply hanging thirty feet up in a 5-meters diameter flower." "Nice rhyming." William looked over the edge and, sure enough, they were about thirty feet up in the air. "What now?" "I suggest we jump or something." Tempomon replied. "Errr... Mind I remind yo there are thirty feet between there and the next station?" William said nervously. "Well, would you prefer an explanation with her?" Tempomon retorted. William looked at a pissed-looking giant spider. "Yeah, jumping seems like a fine idea." William muttered as the thing approached. Just as the Dokugumon (As Tempomon would later explain.) launched a thread of sticky strand, the petal gave up, sending all three them of them plumetting down. However, William's fall was put at short when a branch stuck in his pants. Somehow, he managed to catch his partner. "Okay, I'd much rather not ask this question, but,,, What now?"

Well, technically, I no longer design them. I just pull them off my large (count of 63 o.O) pool of designs if one of them doesn't happen to be named after the one you want. Will this do?
-
Eh, My pleasure. I've had it (and about two dozens more) lying around my hard disck for nearly two years now...

My crest of Modesty: The crest of Honesty: I also have a crest of Loyalty lying somewhere, if you,re interested, Solo.

Oh, BTW, I can design crests if anybody's interested. (I have already designed a Honesty crest before)

For more of these: http://www.customerssuck.com http://rinkworks.com/stupid/ I worked a bit in a grocery store, and I was lucky enough not to have much such trouble, outside the fact people love to pour in the store when there are only 3 cashiers and a bagger... (There are 8 chash registers.)
-
I'll have Modesty (as in "Opposite of egotism") please.

Most evidently, He(Ben, caracter&otakuer) is the emperor. Bhaumon is a Rookie, right? What's his appearance?

Name: William Thaumias Age: 15 Digimon: Tempomon Digimon Attack/s: Vibrato Pulse (Shockwaves sent from the tip of the tail), Chrono Flip (Tempomon can send himself 10 seconds in the future. However, he can only apply this to himself and his partner(assuming they're touching) or a minimal amount of matter, there is no return) Digivice: Orange D3 Digivolutions: Proctimon (Clock Blaster, Automnal Time). Bio: William was rather shy and physically weak, due to gluten intolerance. When he started high school, he had real trouble and got bullied a lot. His wish for a friend was granted as he once suddenly found himself with an excited dog-like digimon squirming in his lap while playing computer games. Thanks to Tempomon's help, he managed to acquire some caracter, and even discovered himself an sense of humor. Description: Thin an pale, William cannot eat anything cereal-based without suffering serious intestinal trouble (fortunately, this doesn't seem to apply ion the digital world.). He has mdium-lenght blonde hair with green tips(anime tradition XD) who falls on both sides of his face. His clothes are usually earthy colors and include a large wristwatch.

I hope the best for you and your familly. I've always been highly shortsighted, but I don't know how difficult cortical eye vision problems can be to live with. What kind of visual dammage is it exactly? I've once been in a car accident. My mother tried to avoid what she though was a metal sheet in the middle of the road (it later showed up to be a piece of carboard >.

As a French speaker, I have a standard Quebecer accent. As an English speaker... I'd love to think I can talk a good english, but I have a "stuttering foreign speaker of english" accent LOL

"Now, our first target is Geppetto. He is one of the members we didn't know about until the Quebec incident." Name: Paol Hurnback Codename: Geppetto Age: 34 Occupation: (current) Hired thief and killer. Identity: The general public is unaware of Geppetto's existence. Legal status: Citizen of Canada with no criminal record. Place of birth: Toronto, Canada Group affiliation: (current) Andromeda Base of operations: (current) A toy Store in Vancouver. Hair: None Strength level: Michael Biddall possesses almost no physical strenght. Mutation type: Psionist(Animator) Known superhuman powers: Through sheer force of will, Geppetto can animate puppets and make them do his biddings. They appear as normal, 2-feet tall puppets until they start shooting at you or attempt to gouge your eyes out. Though they are embedded with some amount of personnality, their talking is usually limited to a maniacal laugh. Special limitations: Paol was horribly scarred during a fire, and he wears a wooden mask and hand coverings. He an't stand right and looks just like his puppets. "I've contacted our agent in charge of looking over him. Braincase will contact you as soon as you get into Vancouver. He will communicate you all other informations you need." -Puppets? Jake noted, raising an eyebrow. -Cool! I've never fought puppets before! Ben noted, jumping up and down. -Mind you, Kevin interrupted them. You should never underestimate a member of Andromeda. -Oh, field opinions, uh? Lauren retorted. We take this mission just as seriously as you do. We just aren't doing it for revenge. Kevin was practically burning with anger. He stormed out of the room. "I'll be at the helipad! he yelled."
-
"Now now" The man-who pretty much everybody had forgotten the presence-talked. "This is not the time to get picky. As I was saying to Magnev and Haider, this mission concern Andromeda." Jake glanced at his friend, who managed to only grit his teeth. -What about Andromeda? Lauren asked. If I correctly recall, the last mission against them was a fluke. Kevin laughed bitterly. -What a nice way of putting it! Jake noted angrily. May I remind you half of Operation group Solidarity died in that mission? -Please, gentlemen. At that moment we were not prepared for such a forceful assault. However, on this mission, codename "Omega Blue", they will be the one looking behind their backs. You are the elite force of the brigades. The most complete and flexible team ever mustered. If you cannot capture them, no one will ever be able to. The group felt silent. Kevin being the only exception, muttering to the memories of the friends he had lost. -We have managed to infiltrate a few mutants into Andromeda's recruiting groups, who are fulfilling us with so much unsuspected facts it takes several analysts working on it 24/7 to extract all the implications of their network. The most important is that they are actually starting to worry about us and might start to attack and kill known mutants, while they had been mostly indifferent up to date. Your mission: Subdue and Capture Andromeda's members until there is none left. Androbeta and Androalpha can be handled separately. -I suppose we are by no mean allowed to kill them? Asked Kevin. Now I'd like to have your caracters' comments on the dangers of the mission. Members of the brigade swear the oath of never harm innocents and never kill even a ennemy unless it is absolutely inevitable. Operation Group members actually swear an even more restrictive oath, as they usually have the power to subdue ennemies more easily.

There is always a feeling of electricity in the air when you enter the briefing room. A faint odor of stress and excitement. Some sort of tingling. You get used to it, though. "Hello." Said a voice. Kevin and Jack saw a young man sitting into a blue chair at the other end of the elliptic table. "Hi msr. Biddall" they chorussed, sitting. "What's up?" Jake asked. "Andromeda" the older mutant said. Kevin turned slightly yellow. "Kevin, are you all right?" asked a girl that just entered the room. "H... Hi Kathryn." the mutant managed to utter. "It's just... Bad Me... Memories." "I can't believe you're gonna send Kevin on a mission against them!" Jack said. "He's still having nightmares about it!" "JAKE LARSEN!" Kevin yelled angrily. The boy reddened instantly, making a strange contrast with his friend. Kevin was extremely sensitive about his nightmares. He got up and stormed to the other side of the room. Two other mutants who had entered the room in the meantime blinked. "We've missed something, right?" The younger one asked. "Not yet." Kevin replied angrily. "And DON'T ask." "Eech. Talk about hot-blooded." Another girl noted. "I could hear you all the way down the corridor" "Look who's talking." Jake taunted. She glared at him, her hair suddenly turning red. We're only only missing Ben before we can launch this. Where are you, ben??

(taki... Maybe you should read the small caracters better. Sorry I've moved you out of Op. Group It's just that, as I said, you can't go out at school normally. Please replace the watch with something else. A cell phone, maybe? This post will disappear as soon as no longer needed. And Xaru, just when did your caracter gained the power to teleport? :therock: )

Energy beams. A car explode. Rooves collapse. A stray hand flies past. Yells of horror and fear. He laugh. All is going just right. He looks at me. "AAAARGH!!" Kevin yelled. Why do nightmares always ends up with you sitting suddenyl in bed, yelling? "What's going on up there again?" came a voice under him. "Sorry Jake." apologized the mutant. "Nightmare again." "Hey, I'm sorry I have to say that, but if you want to stay in a Op. group, you sometimes have to forget things. You can't go on all your life feeling sorry for kills you didn't commit..." Jake started. "Yeah yeah. I know. Have got the speech from our resident psychologist hundreds of time already." Kevin was looking at the air vent. He knew he couldn't sleep anymore that night. He didn't care. It was 6:30 already, and he'd have to be up soon enough to not make it worthwhile anyway. "Don't worry. We all have had our though times here." Jake replied. "The main difference between you and me..." "Ah, shut up!" Kevin jumped down his bunk and slammed open the metal door, not caring about waking up half of the mutants in the dormitory. He didn't want to think about it. ----- May 12, 7:30 ----- BEEP.BEEP. Kevin looked up from a chemistry book to his multi-function watch. The small screen showed an all-too-familiar phrase. "New mission. Please report immediately for briefing." Mind you, here are the people, according to their sign-up, that can be in operation group, and people that can't. People that can't are not told through the special watch worn by Op. Group members. Choose whatever mean you prefer. Also remember that the headquarters for operations are hidden in and under the MBO Mall in Toronto, near where you live/work. Operation Group Solidarity: Silent (Shadowfire), Eclectic (Fury), Xaru (Haider), Me (Magnev) Group Blueberry: Ben (Ghost), Doukeshi (Warp), Taki (Greenleaf) There are inyteresting dynamics between group members and non-members, but I'll explain that later.

You're mostly like secret agents. You can't just go around living a normal life. Often you have physical mutations too. You can have teachers, but nor the normal way. Just that.

If you could erase one human emotion..what would it be and why?
Circ replied to Bishie's topic in General Discussion
My vote goes for selfishness. I've always said each and every problem can explain itself through the fact the humanity is, in it's vast majority, stupid and selfish. (Though frustration would be a good thing, simply for the fact I could stand the world :D) -
I can't stand spiders nor their webs. The fartest I accept to look at a live spider (or even a dry corpse) is about 1 meter. I actually freak out when I accidentally stumble on pictures of big spiders in books.
-
Great sign-ups, everybody. Two important things however: 1) Mutant Operation Group 4 and Group Blueberrry are both based in Toronto. Base of operation: the MBO mall. So you should at least be a naturalized citizen of Canada (unless you are member of an Operation group, in which case your previous life usually has been erased from all records.) 2) Members of Operation Groups have no "work" so to speak. They live in hiding, secret weapons of the Brigade. (However, students may still continue basics school with private teachers) I should be starting the RPG tomorrow.

Well, it lacked supports too, probably because I waited too long before I ended subscription to start it. (only, like, 3 people posted, not counting me, so I couldn't really do much.)

Ben: Yeah, I kow, the first one was a total failure. I'm hoping this will meet more success. Silent: Great sign-up, maybe transfer the reflexes and heightened senses to powers?

Mutants, what are they? Some thinks the next step in evolution, I say the next step toward the fall of mankind. - Senator Kelly. "Exceptionnal" means something that is an exception. Thus we are exceptionnal, and like all those that are exceptionnal, we wish to help humanity. Athletes, genius scientists, artists, they helps in their own ways, just like we help in our own unique way. - Michel Chatelet "Channel" All we ask is for some trust. - Michael Biddall "Dreamcast" This is a fairly AU (Alternate Universe) to the X-Men movies (I am not familiar enough with the comic books to use this fandom). The situation is the same than the movies... Without any X-Men caracter. It's year 2003 and the mutant situation is still at bay. Even with the work accomplished by the Organization for Peacefull Human Relations and it's unofficial branch, the Mutant Brigades, many people remain afraid of mutants and yet another mutant registration project recently entered the Senate. The Organization for Peacefull Human Relations is an non-governmental organization working for complete integration of mutants in human society and is made of mutants and regular men and women. They also help new mutants harnessing their newfound powers in MHGs: Mutant Help Groups. The Mutant Brigades are groups of mutants of varying sizes working in concerted collaboration with official government in all domains. They help capture dangerous and criminal mutants, police investigations, scientific research and peacekeeping. -- There will be NO all-powerfull mutants OR X-men caracters (Though you may use powers or names of very secondary caracters, and I mean VERY, and never together). You are asked to be original in both powers and names. Each and everytime you introduce a new mutant NPC (non-player caracter), you are asked to fill a profile for him to help consistency. I will provide several exemple sheets below in this post. The Mutants Brigades are organized in independant groups that usually doesn't know each others, they are centered around a living place, place of work, school etc. and named by natural things. However, I'll ask that you all be part of Toronto's Group Blueberry or Operation Group #4: Solidarity, for simplicity's sake. Operation Groups (a dozen around North America) are groups of trained mutants that are usually fairly powerfull... and fairly different, most of the times having body modifications. The Mutant File is as follow: Name: Your real name (nothing too fancy please) Codename: Duh! (For privacy purpose, Mutants in mission always call each others by their codename) Age: Duh! Occupation: what you do when you aren't on Mutant Brigade-related mission Identity: How much of the fact you exist, your mutancy and your powers are known to people around you? Legal status: Citizen of which country? criminal record? Group Affiliation: "Mutant Brigade. Northern Sector, Ontario Division, Toronto Section, Group Blueberry" OR "Mutant Brigade. Operation Group #4: Solidarity.". Eyes: If anything special Hair: See above Strength Level: "name of caracter" possess the normal strenght of a man of his age who engage in (intensive, moderate, little, no) regular exercise. (If you have superhuman strenght, write as you please.) Mutation Type: (keep it simple, all descriptions go into Known superhuman powers) Known superhuman power: List your power and its effects in details. Powers of magical/mythical origins are fine by me. Identifying quote or Special quirk: Just a bit of fleshing out lol Special limitations: If applies Others: What's your personnality? What's your history? Do you possess other specific habilities or weapons/equipment? Do you have ennemies or nemesises? My caracter: Name: Kevin Lefebvre Codename: Magnev Age: 19 Occupation: Student Identity: Most people are not aware of Kevin's existence. Legal status: Citizen of Canada with criminal records. Group Affiliation: Mutant Brigade. Operation Group #4: Solidarity. Eyes: grey, no irises/pupils Strength Level: Kevin possess the normal strenght of a man of his age who engage in moderate regular exercise. Mutation Type: Can control the magnetism of his body. Special Quirk: Likes to humm dance music while fighting. Known superhuman power: Kevin can effortlessly attract and repell (or attract/repell himself from) any metal objects from any chosen part of his body. He can also climb/stick to metallic surfaces, disrupt electromagnetic fields and create a form of magnetif tunnel if he is between two magnetic objects, that allows him to fly in mid-air. If he his standing on a metallic mass, he can super-jump easily two-hundred yards away or fifty yards up. Seemingly, he can also "surf" on electrical wires, though he does prefer super-jumping for long distance deplacements. Finally, he can create magnetic shields that keep any metallic objects away from him. Others: In fight, Kevin usually uses darts an can throw them with deadly aim and speed. Born in Quebec City, he was always a loner and ran away from his house at 15. Discovering his powers, he used to repeatedly wreak havoc in Quebec and it's region. He clashed several times with mutants from groups Amethyst and Kabir-Kouba, and ended up joining in the brigade when he was offered to be part of Operation Group Solidarity. Though he still likes to cause mayhem, he seems to appreciates the harsh training of operation groups.

MegaTokyo In case some are wondering:D I love Megatokyo too! It's certainly one of the most funny webcomic I've ever heard of. And, BTW, instantramen14, it's "Don't worry we understand j00".
