I see four people o_O Seriously. I'd make another another pointing out thingy, but I'm feeling lazy -.-' *is seriously seeing things*

I'd say I'm more like Tidus (or Zack; although not as much) than anyone else. Tidus: I'm as cheerful as he is around people, whether or not I feel cheerful. I can easily listen to others' problems too, and when I want to get down to something, I'm really strong-willed. But unlike him, I'm not blonde =p Zack: Even if you knew me in closely real life, you wouldn't believe what goes on in my mind, behind my smile. But yeah, I'm not an elite anything, so pretty much gets put down too. Zell/Laguna?: He's cheerful, and your average nicey-nice talkative and easily motivated guy, with no idea on how much not to focus on meagre things (like hotdogs, lol), and how to get to grips with what's important. But unlike him, I do have a few problems on my back. Who would I want to be like though? Um..probably someone like Rinoa (who I really can't stand -.-'). I want to be almost oblivious to everything with that smiley attitude, and yet be confident enough to go about doing my own things at the same time. *shrug* ..If that made any sense at all..
'sko said it: Wow, congratulations, Kevin. I knew you were working on the script, but I had no idea you had been working on it for 10 years. :twitch: And yeah, it'd be cool if you could put in a "Special Thanks" part in the credits, or something like that, with the names of OtakuBoards members, heh. *cough*putmynamefirst*cough* :toothy:
Basically, everything I was gonna say has been said by Desbreko, lol. But yeah. I had no idea this had been worked on for 10 years. What I've just realised though is that I have no idea how ROTI ends. And now you can't tell me -.-' Bleh. *wonders if it's going to be in animated form or what..*
-
OK.. this time there are people in there :shifty: I saw the other images before I saw the hand actually, for some reason. Maybe I was staring at it a little too hard.. I really like it, although I think the other one was better. *wonders how many faces there are in it*
-
*agrees with Kenji*
To hell with your other names -.-
*cough* But yeah. I don't really think I have any problems with bland banners. Heck, the last few I've made are really bland. There's about five; all just using grey, black, white and burgundy. The second banner looks like something I would make, lol :whoops: (Likes second one a lot better)

In FF9, when and where can you fight the Tantarian.. move names and stats as well? *dances in disbelief* You have no idea how much of a guess that was >.>

*ears perk up at the word 'stab'* My name is Abdul Jalal, and I'm a Year 10 student from England (which would be the same as the 9th Grade, for most of you all reading). For the sake of argument (and having a bit of an odd name to remember), and the amount of nicknames I've been buried under at school, I prefer to call myself simply "AJ" online. I've been at OB for a little over 2 years now, and I can safely say my post quality really has not seen better days than these. I could easily prove it to you, with one of those archiving website pages of the OtakuBoards during its v2 days. See, one the pages archived is of the Dragonball section on the day I joined, and there're two totally spammy threads upon that page created by yours truly; both consisting of random slurs of 'hi!' and 'yoyoyo' and other typo-fied sentences written in mobile (/cellphone) 'txt'. So I could prove it to you. Only I have no idea what the archive site address is, and Nerdsy appears to have disappeared off the face of the Earth at this beautifully convenient time. My life? It tends to really revolve around fun, family, friends and.. food (So I have decided for the sake of alliteration -.-). I usually start my daily mess of a life by serving the government-enforced mandatory school sentence; in which I try as much as possible to work while messing around with my [strike]fellow inmates[/strike] friends. Fun? That tends to be anything and everything I do with my real-life friends, and then some. [strike]Socce-[/strike]Football, hanging out at random spots, gaming, and other things that teenagers tend to do for fun. But, no matter how much I enjoy myself, I always dive into a bored state right after. I just wait. And wait and wait. For another opportunity to enjoy myself. Family.. lots of favours spinning around here. You know, family-type stuff. Like me having to spend 6 hours of my Saturdays herding mindless [strike]kids[/strike] cattle as part of an extension of my uncle's youth group. There's obviously a lot more, but my family probably shape up the way my time is spent, more than anything else. Food.. easily explained. There is nothing in this world more precious to me than a nice piece of lamb; some multipack containing a large mass of milk chocolate only for me; or the money to buy some junk food I have an urge to go eat whole. So that's my rambling done, I guess. As for why i want to sign-up.. I can take a bullet-train of criticism. So I'm not likely to be bothered by that part of this event. And (like everyone else seems to have mentioned so far), I've always been interested in creative ways of expressing myself on a blank sheet of paper since as far back as I can remember. That's why I'm so keen on writing and art. But I will admit that my writing always seems to lack quantity, which will most likely and most seriously hamper my chances of getting into this OB Event. So that's my whole resume/sign-up done too, I guess. (-.-') Nothing else left to do now except to bribe those in control of this contest.. *woos Heaven's Cloud, Kenji-style*

'..lokusts'? Bleh. The only thing that I can think of that swarms and is mentioned in FF8 (that I can remember -.-) is when Ultimecia mentions those locusts. But that's a random guess and is more likely wrong that not. (So I no ask question, and in case of correct answer, next person post a question)

Well sometime within the next 8 weeks of school, we'll all be out on our work experiences. My self-placement means I'll be working at an arcade for a week with two other friends, at an out-of-town shopping centre. And we also get discounts and special offers for the while we work there too (including free cinema tickets every day after 9, lol). Hopefully if I get a good report from a my boss, then I'll go back and ask for a part-time job over the holidays. Meaning more money, discounts, and friends and gaming. *is satisfied with his first job* ^__^

This was originally going to be part of my graphic for what my imagination would look like, but I pretty muchmessed it up. So basically I edited and kept the top bit, lol. And after four different attempts at tweaking it, I give you, another new banner! *is so dramatic*
-
So do we keep our graphics to ourselves for now? Or.. *is always confused by simple commands*
-
I'm an Aries born in the Year of the Dragon. I guess I like cats and wolves best. I guess.. -.-

One of his worst movies? How do you get that? The storyline or the martial arts in it? All I know is that the fighting was totally different from a lot of his other films, and I enjoyed it mainly for that reason alone. -.- As for the championship thing..
From JetLi.com Very soon after we returned to China, they started training us in earnest again. Competitions were coming up - and this time they were official tournaments. Later that year, I competed in the All-China Youth Championships. "Youth" meant everyone under the age of 18. I guess that would count as my first official national championship title. But winning the youth championships had allowed me to "skip a grade" - that is, I became eligible to compete in the 18-and-over category. There I was, a 12-year old competing against people in their twenties and thirties. In May of 1975, an important invitational tournament was held in Kunming, Yunnan Province, for participants from eight big cities. Essentially, it was an invitational for prominent athletes to test their skills against each other, a kind of prelude to the National Games. There were five events and I happened to win first place in each category. Things were going well. But everybody's main focus was the National Games. Even though it was a preliminary round, I still had to take it seriously. That performance would prove to be a fateful one. I stepped onto the carpet to start my sabre form. The very first move I made was an accident. I sliced myself with my broadsword. Just cut a big gash on the side of my head. Funny thing was, I had no idea. I walked up to the platform and ripped off the bandage. A nurse was standing by with disinfectant and a syringe. "Immediately after you finish," she told me, "come over here so I can clean your wound and cover it up again." The cut hadn't healed yet, and they were all afraid that the exposure to sweat and dirt might get it infected. My winning first place caused quite a sensation, because I was so young. I was 12 years old, and the other two medallists were in their mid- to late twenties. During the awards ceremony, as I stood on the top step of the podium, I was still shorter than the 2nd and 3rd place medallists. It must have been quite a sight.
Bleh. I guess I still like Jet Li more than Jackie Chan =p EDIT: *throws tomato at Juu* =p

Jubilee gets a mention out of either Storm or Jean... and that's pretty much it, lol. I only just saw it tonight (twice, along with Two Towers finally, and something else o.-), lol
-
I think the second one [strike]likes[/strike] looks a lot better. But I also think that sign/symbol-thing is horribly overused, so I personally would stick with the first. Or something like the second, but with a different symbol. o.- EDIT: I seem to have my words mixed >.< *points* I wrote most unbolded! *gasp*

Yeah. Jackie broke his foot (or ankle or something, lol) when he was doing Rumble In The Bronx, so he had a special sock made that looked like a shoe, which he wore over his cast, so that filming could continue while he acted with a broken leg. He's so cool like that ^__^
-
He does? I thought he only just like, approves of everything in the cartoon, and that's pretty much all he did. Because to me, the cartoon him sounds nothing like him o_O Hmm.. maybe we're all getting off topic, lol *is in TV forum so maybe it's OK*

Hoi everything just became more confusing for me o.- In Islam, we don't have a lot of this stuff going on. For us, Angels are obedient creations of God: full stop. They don't 'fall', or rebel against Him. According to us, Lucifer wasn't an Angel. He was a Jinn, which is an altogether totally different type of being. Like the Bible though, we believe that he was highly ranked among God's creations, until his pride and arrogance made him rebel. He was outcast, along with his followers of a lot of the Jinn. So we don't have any Nephilim or anything. And for us, Satan and Lucifer are the one and same. And as far as we're concerned God doesn't predict the future, He knows it; He being outside of time, having created it Himself. A different look on it all for ya, anime_gurl ^_^' --- EDIT: I posted just so that anime_gurl could get a little different source for her manga. I didn't post to make this a religion topic again. Just to keep my intention clear. *points to Ginny below* ^_^

RPG OB Waiting Room - Come One, Come All
conpiracymonki replied to conpiracymonki's topic in Theater
Donnie stood up, and walked over from his corner of the room to the centre. He sat down on a couch, chin on the back of two hands, staring, like everyone else in the room, at the action on the two large plasma screens directly opposite the room. Earlier, a tournament official had made her way through the 'lounge', stopping by at each fighter, whispering a secret number into their ears. These numbers were to be kept secret, and were to set-up the matches to follow on. His was three. Meaning as soon as one of the matches happening was over, his would begin. And yet, he had no idea who his opponent would be. He eyed everyone up and down from his seat, and finally decided it shouldn't have to matter who he was up against. Some of the fighters were conversing with each other while they eyed the large TV screens.. freely discussing their numbers, so that they knew who they were 'partnered' with already. 'Eh..number three..' -
o_O Well I guess he's took a few martial arts styles *shrug* But he started off with wushu, methinks Maybe all those styles are wushu sub-styles? *shrugs again, and confuses self more*
Originally posted by Steiner mostly because jets movies are always the same The same moves the same story where in jackies movies he uses different styles and tottaly different story lines.
While I agree that Jet Li's films are the usual same puked out stuff, and he always seems to play the 'I'm a badass to the bone/I'm going to become one midway through the film', I think Jet Li's moves are far more varied than Jackie's are. Film to film, I mean. Like in The One. He uses two distinctly different styles to match his take on the two characters' personalities.
Cut-outs from JetLi.com Xing Yi Quan- It's a very direct, linear style with emphasis on application. This is why it is so appropriate for Yulaw's character -- a man with a singular purpose in life: to become The One. Bagua Zhang- Bagua Zhang is practiced by walking in circles with palms open. The movement is based on a circular, balanced theory. When the upper body protrudes, the lower body retreats; when the arms are sent out, the feet are drawn back. It's movements are almost snake-like has it weaves and twists in circular patterns around the opponent. It's balanced nature makes it a perfect complement to the character Gabe, who's life is in a comfortable balance.
So if in one film he can demonstrate two totally different styles, how can you say his moves are generic etc? Jackie still rocks though :blackeye:

Jackie Chan is easily a better actor than Jet Li. Jet Li was reared to be a martial artist and competitor more than anything. And Jackie Chan went through acrobatic and threatre acting, or something along those lines. And it easily shows in their films. My fighting and martial artist vote goes to Jet Li (Bruce, if he was included), and acting goes straight to Jackie Chan (or Bruce o.-).

Out of curiousity.. (not character, lol =p) Does 'Sko/Cecil get a vote too? Because you never mentioned him, and he never played in this challenge. And can he get nominated for eviction? Like I said, you never mentioned him, and he never played in the last challenge. Not that I think 'Sko's going out or anything... just curious about how it all works..

OK. There's only one thing I have to say about this last one. Pure evil. Of course it took a few questions to figure out what was going on, lol. But that poem is brilliantly evil. And I liked The Last Leaf Has Fell too. That picture is real nice, you know. At first I thought it was just half a picture flipped and inverted. But's it's not flipped. And one of his eyes is open. Me really thinks you should send your poems off though. Seriously.

The background looks like a winged demon to me, lol. I don't really think the swirly thing and the square type things go well together. Maybe get rid of one of them? And I don't like the mirrored parts either. But I see a winged demon! *runs*
