1. I've only read some random parts of the manga... I think through some scanslations on Naruto Chuushin. There's an extra thing called "At the Ichiraku Ramen" that I have on my computer where they are imagining what Kakashi's face looks like. That's only 3 pages long. So from basing on what I've read, I'd have to say that I like the anime much better. I like to see it in motion with color and voices.
2.
For those who haven't gotten that far....sowwie, Dan I'm going into the darkness now
When I hear/see someone say "the darkness," I think of two things:

That horrible song by the band, The Darkness. "I believe in a thing called love..."
The episode of Chapelle's Show with Rick James when he calls Charly Murphy, Darkness. "The Darkness is spreading..."
So, that made me think of those things simultaneously. lol Preston and I were just talking on AIM about how Naruto makes us cry sometimes. I cried 2 different times in the 50 episodes I've seen. One was
the whole incident with Haku and Zabuza dying. That was definitely the saddest part in the show so far.
. And the other one was
when Lee was fighting Gaara and couldn't beat him. I think it's the flashbacks that did it for me. Showing Lee training so much in flashbacks and then being beaten to the point that the medical team said he could never fight again was horrible.
I'm so bad at descriptions sometimes. Anyone else cry during Naruto? How embarassing. lol
3. Like I said when you first showed me, they're both pretty good. For the Tetsu banner, it seems ok except for the part in the middle where it looks like you excessively blurred in one spot. What's up with that? And the Saizou avatar (does anyone else think the avatars are practically banners now?), it seems too jumpy. I like the idea, but it could be executed more fluidly if you made more screencaps between each step. I also think you should have cropped the images so that his ears wouldn't go off the top.
4. I know there are a few anime that I want to see, but haven't had the chance to see yet. I may be one of the only people who have not seen Ranma 1/2 and I hear a lot of good things about it. Rumiko Takahashi is the creator and she does good work in her storytelling. A second anime I need to see is DNAngel. I really like the character designs and the story seems pretty interesting. If I find an import box set of it, I may have to pick it up. I hear Berserk is a very good anime with lots of blood and gore. This might just appeal to me. Who knows? :wigout: I'm also kind of interested to see what One Piece is like even though it seems kind of kid-ish. Then there are the anime that I've seen parts of but never got to finish. Here are the ones I own and never got around to finishing: I have the complete set of Fushigi Yuugi with the OVAs and haven't even watched the first half yet. I also have an Outlaw Star boxset that is in the same situation. Then there is Saiyuki which I have 4 volumes of. I believe I have watched up to mid-way through the 3rd volume. Also, I need to watch the rest of my Hellsing episodes. I've seen most of .hack//sign, but since it's only on Saturday nights, I don't always get to see it. Still need to see the ending even though I know what happens. Most people say they hated Pilot Candidate when it was on Adult Swim, but I actually liked the few episodes I did get to see so I'd like to see the rest, too. Then there are anime that are still running like InuYasha that I must/will see. I have 11 (American) DVD volumes of InuYasha and there are 3 out now that I don't have yet and another coming out at the end of the month. Need to catch up! For unlicensed anime, I like Peace Maker Kurogane(1-13), Naruto(1-50), and the first episode of Chrno Crusade. These are all great shows and I can't wait to see more.

Yellowcard

Ugh! I can't believe that Yellowcard agreed to be on Road Rules. I can't stand that show or most of the programming they have on Mtv. That song is called "Way Away." But yeah, I've been listening to Yellowcard for a while now. They have two full-length albums and one or two EPs. They were playing at a club near my university in October I think, but unfortunately I couldn't make it.
6. I "marathoned" the last 9 episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion yesterday and was all excited to see what would happen in the end. The last two episodes were... not good. I also tend to marathon my Naruto episodes simply because it's THAT good.
7. Well, Kagari, it's good to see you in this thread. To keep the discussion going and keep the thread alive, you need to add something. For instance, who's your favorite character, what do you think of a certain event in the show, etc. Don't forget to use the spoiler tag because not everyone here has seen up to 69.

con

Genjo Sanzo is from Saiyuki. You probably could've found that out from putting his name in Google. That's all there is to say about this.
9. It's pretty much a next day thing depending on what time you send it in. I remember somewhere Adam saying that only about 40% of the fan art actually gets put on the site.
10. I actually think your elitist attitude about music is REALLY annoying. I noticed that in another thread you were trying to put down people over what music they like. Get over it.
11. Uh... just because someone is a musician doesn't mean that they are not informed or able to have an opinion on political issues. It's more so the crowd people that are going to be there than the bands. Back on the original topic, if you go to the Senses Fail web site you can download an mp3 of their new song "Buried a Lie". It sounds a little different from their other stuff actually. A little lighter maybe? If you didn't know, the full-length album is coming out at the end of spring, titled "Let it Enfold You".
12. Speaking of water, in Rurouni Kenshin, was that extremely shiny water that they would show sometimes CGd? It really didn't look hand-drawn to me.
13. No, I do not like Good Charlotte, nor did I ever. I hated them way before every middle school kid saw them on TRL. I'd actually prefer to not talk about them at all. On a more talented note (heh), I have the chance to go to a Rise Against show in Pittsburgh the day after the Senses Fail show since I'm going to stay at my brother's dorm the whole weekend. I don't think I will go, though, because they are playing with Anti-Flag and it's supposed to be a political punk show. I'm not really into politics, I just like Rise Against. Edit: This is kinda strange with just 2 people posting. You ask me a question, I answer, you ask me another question... haha
14. You know how you can tell it was planned? Just look at the clothing she was wearing. The outfit strategically had snap buttons that detached the breast cup from the rest of it. For what other reason would a clothing designer do that if not for it to be removed?
15. I made a new banner the other day after a long lapse. This one is featuring Tetsu from Peace Maker Kurogane. I took everything (pictures and quotes) from the first episode. The first picture is quite blurry because of the gif conversion, but that is Tetsu on the side and an unknown man who murdered Tetsu's father in the center (Tetsu want to become a member of the Shinsengumi so he can kill that man). The second picture is Tetsu after he's seen a large group of people being killed by a member of the Shinsengumi. And here it is:
16. I think 3D put in anime looks really out of place. I saw this anime called Zaion: I Wish You Were Here on On Demand and everything was 2D except for these robots that they showed every once in a while. They looked so strange with the 2D background that it actually took away from the series a little.
17. I have both of The Early November cds, but not the compilation cd. The Early November was really good live. They started out with "Ever So Sweet" and went straight into "Something That Produces Results" just like it does on the cd.
18. I watched the first episode a little while ago... one of my new favorites. While I was watching, I thought "Hey, Tetsu reminds me of Naruto." I guess I wasn't the only that thought that heh. The pig, as I told haruno_sakura, is my hero. When I found out that the purple-haired woman was Okita, I was like "Aaaaaaah. They made Okita a girl in this show?!" But strangely enough... it is a guy. Okita was very different in Samurai X than the one from Peace Maker. He was at the end of the Betrayal OVA after Kenshin
kills Tomoe and meets the Shinsengumi (including Saitou) in the streets.
I really like how I can compare Peace Maker Kurogane and Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X... very interesting stuff. :) I think I will gradually watch the episodes of PMK through BitTorrent and definitely buy the DVDs when it comes out on import.
19. Well, I'm not gonna bother reading all of those spoilers because, obviously, I don't want to spoil the rest of the Chuunin Exams for myself. :) So, I'll start some new conversation, I suppose. Hmmmmm...... thinking..... Ok, let's talk about the Chuunin entrants. Out of the three first-year Konoha teams, I like Kakashi's team the best over all, but my favorite individuals are Kiba, Sasuke, and Shikamaru. Of course, Kakashi is the best sensei. lol I also think Neji is a really cool/creepy character and I haven't really seen him do much yet except for
basically trying to kill Hinata.
Lee is a fun character and he adds a comical part to Naruto. I love how dedicated he is. For Tenten, well, what really is there to sayabout her? lol Everyone knows that my favorite Chuunin Exam entrant team is the Sound Ninja team. Zaku and Dosu are awesome characters and I hope they are in the series more after the exams. Don't get killed! ::crosses fingers:: Another team that I like for some reason, although they have a VERY small role are the Rain Ninjas consisting of Oboro, Mubi, and Kagari. They were the Genjutsu users if you don't remember. I guess I like how they have those respirator thingies and the covered eyes.
Too bad they got killed. :(
Who can forget the Sand Ninjas? Gaara is just so crazy that it's hard not to like him. It's great that his older brother and sister are terrified of him. I'm kinda wanting to know more about those Grass Ninjas that
Orochimaru killed and stole there faces.
The one that I think is a girl has her name on a card that Anko has, but I can't read Japanese. I'm weird about things like this... have to know as much as possible. haha Your opinions on the teams?
20. I saw all of what they have on Cartoon Network a while ago when it was on Toonami. The show is pretty interesting, but I don't really consider it one of my favorites. It gets a little better when each of the characters has their own episodes where they go home to where they lived before they were captured. You get to find out about their back-stories and are able to connect with them more. The one with the silver hair (it's either #002 or #003... can't remember) has a pretty good story. ... I wish I had rocket feet... :whoops:
21. First of all, his name is Legato. Second, why can't you use that big thing sitting in front of you to find the pictures? Your using the computer now aren't you? Ever heard of a search engine? I'm sure there are plenty of Legato fan-sites with tons of pictures. The members here are not your servants.
22. I really don't remember everything they played. I know for certain that they played Steven and The Ground Folds, but other than those... Let's just say I heard a lot of songs at that show from 5 different bands.
23. Shouldn't it be "speak well enough"...? Well, people who think school is a waste of time just get on my nerves. Have fun being ignorant fot the rest of your life! :)
24. Yeah they are really good live. Buddy screams a little more than he does in the recorded versions of the songs. At the place that we saw them, he climbed on the bars going across the ceiling and went out above the crowd like they were monkey bars. Then he proceeded to fall into the crowd and surf for a little. P.S. Don't double post. ;)
25. I hate Blink 182. They are a pop band. And yes, I do like most of the Drive Thru bands except for Fenix TX, RX Bandits, Home Grown, and Steel Train. I do like The Starting Line, though. I saw them with Senses Fail, Allister, The Early November, and Home Grown. Rufio is one of my top favorites out of that whole list in my signature. I saw them live a few months ago and I'm actually wearing a Rufio shirt right now.
