It's all about practice. No one just picks up a pencil/paintbrush/etc. and just creates a masterpiece. I'm sure all the famous artists' work looked just as bad as any other person's when they first started. I don't really think there is such a thing as natural-born talent.

I saw them at a bar near my university and they were awesome live. My roommate and I are going to see them again on February 27th in Pittsburgh. My favorite song of theirs is "Bite to Break Skin", but it's not on the EP.

Since you posted for Zaku... The wallpaper base is pretty nifty, actually, but the one with the picture of the Mouse guy isn't as good. He needs better cropping... the black outline is gone in some places. The Gaara banner is nice. I don't particularly like that picture of him, though. His face looks super alien-like there for some reason. Also, when the letters fill in, it gets a little less readable, but nothing too drastic. Really cool stuff.

Although it was on Adult Swim, still, most people hated it. It is actually one of my favorite anime out of everything I've seen. People see the drawing style and turn away, not seeing the full potential of Kikaider. Adding to that, Kikaider 01 was a very good 4 episode OVA. It scrolls up way too fast. If you slowed it down [b]a lot[/b], then it could be considered a great banner. Also, some of the original outline on Naota looks like it was taken out when you cropped it. Good job! :)

I'm like this a lot, too, in a couple of recent incidences. My roommate and I like a lot of the same music but I'm the one that finds all the new bands and he gets their songs off my computer with his little 64MB memory key. I do it for him nicely, but then when he starts to get into them a lot and plays there music more than I do, I get angry with him. This is really strange because I've know the kid since 3rd grade and I'm developing this"hatred" for him (lol). So lately I've been finding heavier stuff with more screaming because I know he won't like it. A few days ago, I was on one of my favorite band's websites and I read in the news section they have finally made a video and it was featured on FUSE. I got kind of frustrated because now anyone that watches TV can know of there existance. So, I watched the video on their website and was happy that it was just them standing there playing instead of something flashy that would attract viewers. Another example of this is that right now in this post, I'm not mentioning any of their names. Haha Funny creatures, we are.

I watched the new Ninja Turtles a few times when it first came out just to see what it was like compared to the old one I watched as a kid. I don't really like it all that much. It seems much cornier than the original animated series even though that was back when "cowabunga" was a cool thing to say. I don't like the new drawing drawing style either. The turtles don't even have pupils, but rather glowing white spots. Also, I think the voice actors are sub-par and just don't sound cool (heh) like the old turtles. I played the new TMNT video game demo on my Mario Kart demo disc and it, too, was not comparable to the old games. I'd much rather play Manhattan Project than that monstrosity of a game, spouting the same catch-phrases over and over agian. "Slice and Dice. Slice and Dice. Slice and Dice." Ugh.

Hey, not bad! You've captured his look pretty well with the droopy eyes. Your drawing has quite a bit of detail in there and I think you handled it nicely. :) Oh, the hand on his waist looks like he's doing a deformed "west coast" sign. lol

I don't think [i]I'd[/i] ever get a tattoo (I'm a big wuss), but I like the idea of them. For piercings, I have both of my ears pierced and I've been wanting to get my lip pierced for about a year. I'm not sure if that will ever happen because, again, I'm a wuss. I have a fear of needles that I can't even get a shot without flipping out and needing to hold on to something.

You say that I underplay my talent? You told me that this was gonna look like crap and it doesn't at all. The only things wrong with it are the ear on the right side and that pinky... it looks like it doesn't have any bones in it lol. Mind if I color this?

That is so awesome. It must've taken so long to do all of that shading. You are certainly one of the best artists on OB. I also congratulate the person who drew the line art. Good stuff. I saw in your sig that it says "Die White Girls". That wouldn't happen to be Coheed & Cambria's "The Velorium Camper III: Al the Killer", would it? ;)

Piro, I didn't like Rock Lee very much either until I saw him fight in episode 50, like I said earlier in this thread. [spoiler]Also, his fight in the forest helped a little, too, when he's talking about being a "beautiful beast" to Sakura. lol [/spoiler] But [i]the[/i] best things about Lee is that when he blows kisses to Sakura, the hearts come out of his eyes. Hilarious. Am I the only one that was disappointed to find out that [i]this[/i] was the mystery product. It' basically a gameboy with another screen. "Something you've never seen before" hyped this up way more than it should've been.

You asked what was wrong with it so I'm gonna tell you. First, the way she is standing is quite awkward. She's bowlegged or pidgeon-toed or whatever that's called, lol. I'm aware that you may have drawn it from a picture like that, but it doesn't look quite right here. Second, her arms are different lengths and are extremely skinny. The hand holding the flowers is too small even for that size of arm. The flowers look like they are floating and she isn't actually holding them, too. Third, there's something going with her face that appears awkwardly as well to me. Maybe her eyes are too far apart or they aren't big enough. I do like that mace she has. It is pretty well drawn and I can't point out anything except that it maybe a little flat on the bottom. I can see an obvious talent here. With a little more time spent and some polishing up, this could be a very good drawing. ^_^

Thanks for the comments. I think the hands look good, it's the toes that I don't like. Unfortunately, I have no idea what a zori is (maybe an english word would help this situation) so that piece of advice didn't help much. :( EDIT: Oh, and what do you mean by convincing lines?

Homestar is one of the funniest websites ever. I really like what you've made here, too. You did a nice job of keeping the pictures good quality after blowing them up. Is that thing coming from Strong Bad's boot supposed to be there?

The bullet-proof stuff is nothing more than a gimmick. He needs something to get popular by besides hanging on to Eminem's curtails because his music is not good to say the least.

Oooh. I like that picture. I've actually never seen it before. Did you make the background or was it like that? The skullkid is my favorite character in the N64 Zeldas, by the way.

He is supposed to be slanted like that. No scanner problems here. :) And by the way, I forgot to explain the picture. Zaku is a ninja (genin) from the village of Sound. On his forehead protector you see a note... that signifies that he is a Sound ninja. The hole in each of his hands sends air through his arm with the help of chakra/chi. He uses this as his weapon. You probably can't tell now since it's not colored, but his pants and scarf are animal printed.

The fights usually last one or two episodes, Hittokiri. Also, if you're worried about too much comedy, it tones down once the story gets going. Remember, you're still in the introduction episodes.
