1. Alright, updated the accepted list. Also, Revelation. I'd just like to make mention that Elements VI is the first Elements game to be online. The online part is kind of like a sub-title, unlike in Phantasy Star Online where it's part of the main title. The thread will be up very shortly!
 2. What? I'm not Mario? I'm always Mario! ._. Unfortunately I have to resign from OBG[2006]. I know, I know, I'm being such a hypocrit by doing this, but I have no choice. My brother (the jerk!) reformatted my computer without telling me and so all my artwork is gone alongside Adobe Photoshop CS2. It will take a bit to get back. But because I don't want to be a complete jerk, I made my submission in MSPaint. Click Here. Laugh it up. :(
 3. Alrighty, time to get this thing rolling. I'm about to post a list of people who are in. However, this means nothing because if you aren't on the list, you can completely re-do your sign-up and I'm not closing the sign-ups.
EVIO Accepted Applications Ridgeway Ranger - Relyk Kiva Salqarian - Kiva Sakura Blum - Sakura Theodore Marsters - Theodore Sevarro Yaszavim - Ixi Isabella Laurens - Izz Michael Philanasis - Watcher Blanca Simon - Paradise Caden Olivetti - Genjii Brenton Schneider - Ember Shing Wen - Juan Feng Todd Saotomi - Gippal Alex Quatermain - Archer Deagan - Saitoshi Jessica Hunter - Random Lee Matsui - Gale Wilhelm Schweitzer - Kaiser Sylvester Writer - Gabriel
For those of you still planning on signing-up, I'd appreciate it if there were no more Fire or Wind elementals. I'll make a post in the underground when the Adventure Square thread is up.
 4. Alright, I have the graphic done. However before I can post it, I need a photo of you. [strike]So, as soon as you can get me that, I'll post.[/strike] Done!
 5. [strike]Notice: The profile you are about to read is that of a GM (gamemaster). GM's keep the peace in the game and can be called upon with a help function in your menu. Although White is generally friendly to all the players, he doesn't usually stay around long enough for anyone to find out anything about him.[/strike] Gender: Male Username: White Appearance: About 6'2", he walks proudly when doing his job. He has shaggy blonde hair and bright blue eyes, making him seem angel-like. He wears a sleeveless white shirt and white baggy pants with a fancy brown belt to boot. Faction: Light Class: Wizard Weapon: He has five large golden bracelets on each hand. These contain magic and he draws mana from them when he is low on it. Known Spells: Teleport: One of the only spells that the users know White has. When you call upon a GM, they normally get to you with their own spells. White teleports which leaves blue sparkles floating around shortly after. Relocation: For the sake of getting players unstuck, White can teleport other players short distances. This also leaves the same sparkles. Skill Level: Not really known. He doesn't fight much anymore, but before he was made a GM, he faught a lot. So it's assumed he's decently leveled.
 6. Everything looks great so far. Just one problem this time. Starwind, remember, the game has only been out a year. So, just fix your Skill level part. ^_^ And I'm adding another option to the sign-up. As Sakura pointed out to me, it would be a good idea to say what weapon your character uses, so I added that underneath class. Take whatever weapon you want. You don't have to have it the whole game. You can just buy a new one. :)
 7. Seven sign-ups in one night. Not too shabby. Just a few problems with some of the sign-ups. Nothing that can't be fixed. :whoops: Zero and mushrumluver, I added an extra option onto the sign-up. So if you could just add the "Skill-level" part into your post, that'd be great. And Zero, I'm not quite comfortable with you using the name Edward Elric. Try to be original. ^_^ DracoGuardian, although you don't have to, I'd suggest changing your username to something more realistic. Perhaps only one word? You also have a few spelling/grammatical errors to fix. Rurouni922, try to get more in-depth with your spells. Refer to Sakura or Dragon Warrior's sign-up sheets for good examples. Sakura. Yeah, that's why it's Elements 6. XD And remember, everyone! You can ask any questions you have in the underground, where I'll add it to the FAQ.
 8. What is a VRMMORPG?
VRMMORPG is an acronym for Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game. Millions of players from all over come together to play one game.
Virtual Reality?
That's correct. In 2010, a man was placed inside a Virtual Reality machine for the very first time. Later, in 2017, the first Virtual Reality facility was launched, allowing civilians to go to a store and pay to play. Finally, January 1st, 2020, personal VR machines were available to buy for your home at an easily attainable price.
So, What is EVIO?
EVIO (Elements VI: Online) is the sixth installment to a series of games started in 2003. It's the first online game in the series and one of the original VR games (currently, there are only four including Pokemon Online, Digimon Immersion and World of Warcraft: VR Edition). Taking place in a steampunk age, where gears and levers are the main use of technology. When one comes of age, they are to choose an elemental path to follow. Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, Shadow and Light. After, they choose to either take the path of Fighter or Wizard.
Sounds fun! How do I sign up?
Simply go to your local gaming store and by yourself and EVIO Timecard, which you'll use as a sort of memory card everytime you log into your game. Once in, you'll have to fill out the following form.
EVIO Application Form Name: Your name given to you at birth. Birthdate: The year is 2021. Gender: Male or Female. Username: Preferred in-game name. Appearance: You will appear in the game the same way you do out. A picture or detailed description will do fine. Faction: The elemental path you'll be taking. Class: Fighter or Wizard. Weapon: The weapon your character has or will have. Known Spells: If you are reactivating your account, then your character will already have skills. Please give a short description of what they are able to do. Skill Level: How long have you been playing? Feel free to get detailed here. And that's that. If you have any questions about anything, it is most likely already answered in the Underground thread.
 9. UNDERGROUND Constantly being updated. And I do mean constantly. Factions? I thought they were Elements!
There is a difference. An Element refers to the actual magic that the player draws in to use, where as the Faction is the general term used to describe players that use a certain element. Basically the plural form of Element. Ex1: What element do you use? Fire. Ex2: Invaders are coming of the Fire Faction.
Ah, okay. So, what are the different Factions?
The Fire Faction. Fire is probably one of the most versatile of the elements. The best of Warriors and Wizards can come from the Fire Faction. Most Fire magic is destructive. The Water Faction. Water is a very magic-oriented Element. Any Warrior from here tends to have a lot of magic-skills regardless of their class. Very skilled when it comes to aiding other players with protection spells. The Earth Faction. The Element of Earth draws a thick line between its Warriors and its Wizards. All the Warriors tend to be very macho and buff, using a lot of rock skills to improve melee combat. And all the Wizards tend to be frail but beautiful, relying on nature to heal their fallen comrades. The Wind Faction. Although not as versatile as the Fire Faction, the Wind Faction still lays out a good party. The Wind Warriors are always extremely agile, and usually become archers of a sort while the Wizards stay back and throw damage-oriented spells at the opponent. The Shadow Faction. The Wizards that spawn from the Shadow faction are dangerous foes to deal with. They use the evilest of elements to raise the dead to do their bidding, or poison the living with shadow chants. The Warriors are also a force to be reckoned with, as they rely a lot on magic themselves, summong skeletal warriors from monsters they have just slain. Many Warriors also become Rogues, who dwell in the shadows and rely on the element of surprise to win their battles. The Light Faction. The most holy of all elements, Light is found in excessive amounts in players from this area and is used to ressurect dead players, heal them and smite Undead.
So, we roleplay as if we're roleplaying a virtual game?
Correct. Although you won't be playing your real character nearly as much as your in-game character. On average, I would estimate that 1/4 of your posts would be the actual player.
What's the difference between a Fighter and a Wizard?
A Fighter is a very Melee/Ranged Combat character. They use the chosen element to boost attacks rather than using them as attacks (which is what the Wizards do).
If my character is new, will he/she have spells?
Yes. Your character will have one or two very basic spells. However you don't have to put these in your sign-up, you can update them as you go along in the square.
Can my character be an EVIO veteran?
Indeed! You can very easily have been playing since EVIO came out (that's one year). You certainly won't have completed that game, as the creators are constantly updating it with more features, but you can be right up there with the skilled players. WARNING: If you do make your character a skilled player, I expect your writing to be of equivalent skill. I'll be double-checking your previous posts to make sure you're creative and such as I don't want a jerk running around killing all the players.
How many spells are we limited to?
If you are making a character that is skilled enough to have so many spells that you need to ask, I strongly suggest you just PM myself and talk it over with me. If you're too lazy, just set the cap at five and add new ones into your posts as you use them in the actual adventure.
What are the restrictions on the weapons we can use (if any)?
None, really. Just keep with the times (no bazookas or lightsabers) and don't make it too overpowered (a sword two times larger than yourself that you can hold in one hand). I'm also not too picky about what weapons do. If you want your weapon to glow, so be it. If you want it to give you extra damage against Shadow Faction, do it. I don't care. I'll say so if something is wrong.
Are there any Faction-specific cities?
Originally I was going to post a nice, fat and juicy map with my first post in the square, but since I lost Adobe Photoshop I wasn't able to. I'll have a map up soon but for now, you'll have to go with this. Talon Rock. A small city that hangs on the side of a cliff, overtop water. This is the Water Faction's capital city, and also the smallest of the 6 faction cities. Vlanor. The Fire Faction's capital city. It's a large village built into the side of a volcano. It also sits right next to the Earth Faction's jungle city. Treetop Haven. Usually referred to as "TTH" in-game. It's a huge city suspeded entirely at the tops of trees in Swallow Jungle, next to Vlanor. This is the Earth Faction's capital city and also the largest of all the Faction cities. The Sky Dome. A large dome in the middle of the desert, it looks very rusty and worn on the outside, but it's a very elegeant and roman-esque castle on the inside. Not many people understand how the castle doesn't show up on the outside, but most suspect it has something to do with the wind being forced in certain positions, blocking all view. This is the Wind Faction's capital city. Pelanyr Castle/The Necropolis. One in the same, the Shadow and Light Factions share their capital city. It's actually two versions of one castle. The first one is a bright and cheery place, with guards at every door, trumpets playing all through the marketplace and a happy king sitting on the throne. The Necropolis version is dark and gloomy, with wraith's at every corner. There is a gateway in the middle of PC and Nec that transports you to the other version of the castle. It is also the only city with an Auction House
Transportation?!
Yay! I finally finished the transportation part of the FAQ. Basically, there are four main ways of getting around (aside from walking). Teleportation. For a reasonable fee, players can pay certain NPC's to teleport them to a requested city. The further the destination, the more it costs. This is often used as a last resort as it can get quite expensive. Dragon. In each of the main cities is a large dragon with a big hut on it's back. This hut can hold up to 25 people. Dragon is a cheap and efficient way to get around, however a lot of people get impatient waiting for the dragon to leave and others dislike it because it only goes to big cities. Skills. Although not nearly as fast as mounts, dragon or teleportation, there are certain skills within some factions that can speed up the process of going somewhere. Wings, for example, allow you to fly (which is a bit faster than walking). Mounts. In the world of EVIO, there are various animals that can be trained from a baby stage and raised to become ridable mounts. Keep checking the FAQ as I'll soon post all the possible mounts.
My Character Died. X_x;;
Sorry to hear that! Your character's spirit is now released from your body and is wandering around the graveyard. Run back to your body to resurrect yourself, but be careful! Players of the Shadow and Light Faction can still see spirits, and players of the Shadow Faction can steal them to empower themselves (if this happens, you just start back at the graveyard as a new spirit).
I'm leaving a lot of room for creativity here, so feel free to be as original as you want. Also, since there is no real writing invloved in the sign-up, I'll be skimming through your old posts. If you want to make things easier, you can write a character snippet and PM it to myself.
 10. White followed quietly behind Angel, the first person he had ever met in a VR game. She looked to be around the same age as him, aswell. Which made it easier for them to have conversations. She showed him around the big city and all the important buildings. One of which interested him a lot, the Training Facility. It was a large dome building where inside, trainers from all over came to hone their digimon fighting skills. They spent little time talking about the building, and he remembered Angel saying something about not bothering to go in there, but he took note to try it out anyway. After was seemed like ages of walking around, White's tour was complete. Some things about the city was exciting, while other parts were boring. But regardless, it was all very impressive. He fiddled with his digivice a bit while went to do an errand. When she got back, she seemed different. "I've decided to take you somewhere. It's a place called Saware and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Perhaps you'll fit right in." she said, smiling. White wondered was Saware was. "Is that like... a clan or guild or something?" he sat down on a nearby bench and scratched Gomamon's ear while he waited for an answer. "Well... you'll see. I don't want to ruin it for you."
 11. Notes: -Certainly not my best work, but I tried going a completely different style this time around. -It took me around 1-2 hours just to make the fire on the smurf. It was a long and annoying process which involved 6 layers for the flames alone. Whew. -I may end up changing my submission before the due date (if that's okay) simply because I'm not very proud of it.
 12.
I'd love to see a better version of the Ice Climbers in SSBB, but it looks like Sakurai and the team chose the other option.
Which is a shame because it could esily have been fixed. As for Bowser Jr. being a playable character; I'm not against it at all. He's my favourite Mario enemy and I doubt he'll be anything like Bowser. Bowser Jr. having a different set of moves isn't as unlikely as you may think. Contains spoilers from Super Mario Sunshine.
For instance, he could easily be the Bowser Jr. version from Super Mario Sunshine. He could have a paintbrush as his main attack, etc.
I've never actually known Bowser Jr. to breath fire, so I would be surprised if any of his attacks included fire. He's also (obviously) much faster than Bowser, so there's another big difference. All in all, the only thing I can think of that would be similiar between the two (besides looks) is the one attack where Bowser spins inside his shell. Because you have to remember, most of Bowser's attacks are based on his weight. So, when you have Bowser Jr. you have completely different moves.
 13. The Ice Climbers? Why the Ice Climbers? They were such unique characters. I love playing the Ice Climbers even today and they remain one of my favourite SSBM characters. And I never thought as Nana as half of the Ice Climbers. I always thought of her as a bonus and Popo was always a little bit weaker than the other SSBM characters... Sure, you don't jump as high, but as far as moves go if you know how to use Popo correctly, it's not hard to play normally. Think of Nana as a second chance to live, maybe?
 14. Well, well... I really don't care what camera style they decide to use. A Mario game is a Mario game and that's that. I haven't played a new one in such a long time that I don't think anything could ruin it for me. I love my Mario and how the camera follows him won't bother me. However, if I had my way, I would go with the auto-follow (I don't really know all the fancy camera terms) style. What I would want is a camera style that is always follows Mario unless I move it around with something else (like a C-Stick). When I let go, the camera would go back to the default position behind Mario.
 15. Jaret walked on the sidewalk alongside his friend David. After a few minutes of talking, the two split in different directions. David to home, and Jaret to the newly built VR building. He had always wanted to try one of these VR machines, but as he lived in Canada, the closest VR Facility was 3 hours away. Not worth the walk. But now, the new VR facility in his hometown was complete. He could finally go there regularly... if he liked it. The sliding doors opened as he stepped on the mat, and he slid inside. A nice man at the desk smiled at him and put away some paperwork he had been working on. "Would you like a Virtual Reality machine, then?" Jaret nodded hesitantly. "Have you ever used a VR machine before?" "Actually no. Heh." The man replied with no words, but actions. He opened his bottom drawer and pulled out an application sheet. "Read over the document and sign here." The man said, handing Jaret a pen. Jaret quickly skimmed through the sheet and signed his name on the bottom line. When the man asked which game he wanted and Jaret replied Digimon, he was gived another sheet to sign. "Don't worry about it." said the secretary. Jaret smiled and handed him the last sheet. "It's nothing to get hesitant about. I have worked at many VR Facilities and never have I experienced anything bad." "Thanks. Anything I should expect?" "Nothing that I can explain very well. It won't hurt, though. I'll be waking you up in 3 hours, earth time. New players tend to forget about time as they play. Your assigned to pod number 33. 15th pod on your left through the west corridor." Jaret waved goodbye and thanked the kind man. He found his pod and climbed in, not knowing what to expect. After a boring hour of fiddling around with character aspects, the new and improved Jaret logged in for the first time under the codename White. He quickly surveyed his surroundings. Lush green forest, no monsters anywhere. Tutorial. White thought. He was used to these Massive Multiplayer Online games. They always had tutorials at the beginning. But even though he was a quick learner, it was obvious this tutorial was going to be a little bit different from all the others. A relaxing feminine voice echoed throughout the air. It was computer-generated, and it taught White all about the different Menu buttons, maps, etc. Eventually, it came time to introduce him to his digimon partner, Gomamon. And they battled a practice monster together and got to know eachother. When the tutorial was finished, White was transferred to the main server and found himself in the middle of a huge city. "...Wow." OOC: I wouldn't mind it if an experienced player came and introduced White to the game. I want to get him into the battles and whatnot asap. And I haven't decided wether or not to make him evil or good, so maybe this player will influence his decision. :whoops:

 18. Playing with his shaggy blonde hair, Jaret Hannison walked elegeantly through the forest, feet crushing the leaves below him. He was looking for something, and wasn't exactly sure what it was. Magneto had just told him to find it. It had been exactly 3 days since Magneto had requested his assistance. Although not sure why, Jaret had accepted. A gut feeling, perhaps. After a few minutes of taking a short breather on a nearby bench, he saw it. It had to be it. Clinging to a branch of a tree out of sight of the naked eye, a small, green-coloured squirrel hung for his dear... life? It wasn't alive, though. It was not green. It was emerald, and made of pure rock. Jaret figured it would be extremely expensive, so he carefully shook the tree with all his might to get it down. It wiggled, but did not fall until he threw a rock at the branch it was on. He caught it just before it hit the ground, and the minute it touched his hands, he was right infront of Magneto. "You have such a talent, m'boy." Magneto said, grabbing the statue away from him. "I ask you to find it and you bring me a Squirrel Statue made of emeralds. Tell me, how did you find it?" "Um.. I don't know." "Increased sight range, perhaps? You are one of us. A mutant." said Magneto. Jaret looked at his tanned body with pride. He knew that he was a mutant. All his life had been a pro at hide and go seek. He was a wonderful observer and spotted things coming before anyone could even see them. "What would be an appropriate name for you...? How about Scout?" "Sure. I like it." Jaret stopped. "..Why do I need a name?" Magneto chuckled whole-heartedly and put his hand on Scout's shoulder. "You are joining the Brotherhood. We could use someone like you. Someone to tell us when anyone is coming. Your name will suit you perfectly." The two of them kept walking until they reached the temporary base camp where other young ones were being recruited.
 19. Well, I haven't found any actual proof of Link being able to jump in Twilight Princess, however I did find something else that intrigued me while I was looking. During the "Lava Boss" trailer, near the beginning, when Link gets close to a scarecrow, this little shadow fairy thing pops out and talks to him. It basically tells him that while there is a scarecrow there, he might aswell practice his sword skills. It continues on and tells him how to do the spin attack. "Make a circle in the air to use the spin attack!" That's not an accurate quote, so when I get home from school I'll post the screenshot. But it does mean that the Wiimote will be used for slicing to some extent. EDIT: I'm not sure if the symbol is a Wiimote or just a normal analog stick.
 20. I'd just like to remind everyone that we're not judging the pieces by how funny they are, but by how the art itself is. ^_~
 21. Well, I don't know about removing the function completely. I actually like having the receipt there as it lets me know if the person has recieved my message or not. It's just all around useful, in my opinion. Now, changing "Cancel" to "No" isn't a bad idea at all. That would probably make things much easier for people to understand. I remember when I first started PMing with v7 and had no clue what it meant.
 22. There is no way I'm letting this thread fall of the page. Especially since I haven't posted in it yet. Now, I'm not a huge Zelda fan... but I do enjoy the series. One thing I always like about the Zelda games is the puzzles, and just by watching the trailer, you can tell there will be quite a bit of those. As much as I'd like to think that Link swings his sword the same way you swing your controller, I don't think it works like that. By the looks of it, just a simple tap of the A button will bring the blade down. Now, I'm sure they'll bring in movements more into combos, but if you watch the trailer, the guy playing it doesn't seem anywhere near as energetic as the guy(s) playing Red Steel. And! 23.
Well, I was replying to Tatsubei's comment about Mario breaking various scientific laws (hence the reason I quoted him, you know), rather than why Mario would be in space in the first place. About that, I haven't a clue. Of course, I don't really much care, either; it's a Mario game, so the story is kind of inconsequential. But it does seem kind of odd.
Ah, yeah. Sorry about that. But you're right. With Mario games, it's not the storyline that makes it a good game. There isn't any plot to Super Smash Bros. Melee and that's an amazing game... (slowly makes his way to post in the SSBB thread). I have a question for all of you, however (hehe... me and my questions). Let's say that at any part of the game, there is a short portion where Mario does get the FLUDD. Do you think that he will get the FLUDD, or a new E. Gadd invention? If you think a new one, I want to hear what you think it'll be. Something else to think about is Multiplayer mode. When Nintendo put Mario 64 out for the Nintendo DS, they added three characters for players to play with eachother. I'm wondering if SMG will have a multiplayer option (online or not) that you can choose to play with friends.
 24.
I think Mario has been throwing biology out the window since the original SMB. I mean, since when could somebody double their height by eating a mushroom? Or grow a raccoon tail and ears--and fly with them--by holding onto a leaf? And I won't even get into the absurdity of turning into solid metal. If Mario can do all that, what's a little vacuum going to hurt?
That's all very true. But what I meant was how did Mario even end up in space? I realize he's a video game character so he could easily just breath in space or whatever, but why? In all the trailers and screenshots, I never once saw any familiar characters besides Mario and Bullet Bill (a very minor character). Did Bowser capture Peach and send Mario into space so he couldn't get her back? Did Bowser make a space station or something? I realize it may be a bit early to be asking storyline questions, but when I first heard about Super Mario Galaxy this is just the first thing I thought of. And about FLUDD, I dispised it. Alright fine, it was a nice change, but I got annoyed with it before I even finished the game. I wouldn't mind if it did make a comeback though. Wether it be a mini-game or just a very small portion of SMG where he has it.
 25.
As much as I would love to make some extra money, unless I want to baby-sit, mow lawns or do other similar work, I can?t get a job until I turn fourteen. Something that won?t happen until later this month. Most places won?t even accept an application until I actually turn fourteen so I haven?t been able to apply for anything. At the same time, part of me would rather read and goof off all summer instead of working so I?m not sure if I am going to try and get anything or not. Especially since some of the volunteer stuff that I?m interested in won?t consider you unless you are at least sixteen years old.
Holy cra-- you're only thirteen? O_o I thought you to be at least seventeen. But I feel your pain. I turn sixteen in November, which means most of the cool places I could work at (like Rogers Video or EB Games) won't hire me until school has started again. 8w8 For now I'm just going to work at Cineplex Odeon (movie theatre) and work there for the summer and (quite possibly) through Grade Eleven. From what my friend tells me, it won't be too bad. I'll be applying at EB Games and Rogers regardless, though. Because I know everyone at Rogers (not because I go there a lot, because my brother used to work there) and I just want to give EB a shot because it's my dream part-time job (I'd get a discount on WoW: Burning Crusade!).
