I really wanted to go to this concert. I'm a big fan of both Stone Sour and KoRn. Sadly though I have to work. I guess earlier on in the tour Jonathan Davis got sick or something and so for a few songs Corey Taylor was filling in his place. There's a video going around on youtube of a live performance featuring Corey doing KoRn's song "Clown." I wanted to see Dir En Grey as well just because I've heard alot of good things about them and was really interested. As for deftones...meh.

How do you picture earth and human's in 2039
Box Hoy replied to liveinmybubble's topic in General Discussion
Hmm, I doubt we'll allow ourselves to be destroyed. The major governments would begin fighting over land before they let their nations be swallowed water. I think we'll expereince some sort of full scale war by than and it will end up reshaping the way we make decisions and our relations with other nations. I think right around that time or maybe in the mid 20's we'll experience the third coming of the emo fad, as it was originally created in the 80's so there's a twenty year gap. It's very slim but I think by than we'll begin heading back to the moon as well. -
Slow instrumental songs usually get me. In a way they seem to convey more without words. Guns N' Roses' slower stuff also gets me emotional. A few song which have cuaght me are A World So Cold by Mudvayne, Under the Moon by ICP, and Vermillion Pt II by Slipknot. The prettiest song I've ever heard is by Stone Sour. The song Through the Glass for their new album: Come What(ever) May. It represents how I feel about people and it's just a nice song. Through the Glass Through Glass by Stone Sour I'm looking at you through the glass Don't know how much time has passed Oh God it feels like forever But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home Sitting all alone inside your head How do you feel, that is the question But I forget, you don't expect an easy answer When something like a soul becomes initialized And folded up like paper dolls and little notes You can't expect to better folks And while you're outside looking in Describing what you see Remember what you're staring at is me 'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass Don't know how much time has passed All I know is that it feels like forever But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head How much is real, so much to question An epidemic of the mannequins Contaminating everything When thought came from the heart It never did right from the start Just listen to the noises (No more sad voices) Before you tell yourself It's just a different scene Remember is just different from what you've seen I'm looking at you through the glass Don't know how much time has passed And all I know is that it feels like forever But no one ever tells you that forever Feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head And it's the stars The stars that shine for you And it's the stars The stars that lie to you I'm looking at you through the glass Don't know how much time has passed Oh God it feels like forever But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home Sitting all alone inside your head 'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass Don't know how much time has passed All I know is that it feels like forever But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home Sitting all alone inside your head The stars The stars that lie

Name: Toshi Akechi Age: 22 Gender: Male Appearence: Wavy faded black hair which comes down to his shoulders. Pale white skin. His eyes are blue and emotionless most of the time. He's got a small scruffy goatee giving him the appearence of someone unkept. He wears mostly the same clothes that all the other admitted wear. Reason admitted: Claimed that demons were hunting him Bio: Toshi was fairly normal. It was this way up until after his 20th birthday when he claimed he'd fallen asleep and awoke in a bath tub with his wrists slit and he was bleeding to death. Normally he'd awake immediatly from such a startling scene but he didn't. He than continued on saying that within the dream, demons had arisen from his blood and devoured his body. People were skeptical but Toshi believed that the dream was a baptism of sorts which would let the demons haunt him forever as payment for his sins.

About a half a year ago I was completly obsessed with the Slipknot offshoot band: Murderdolls. I did some background research into a few of the members and discovered Acey Slade. He played guitar in the band. I than found his band: Trashlight Vision which absolutly rocks. They're a straight punk rock band. When I heard the demo song, "My ******* You To You I" was amazed. It sounded really good. Really trashy and still awesome. Acey Slade and this band have since become my favorite band. Sadly though they don't get much attention in the states. They're real big in the UK though, just like every other punk band.

I love Brain Age alot. We bought it with a DS lite last month and even my mom has taken part in it regularly, which is really odd. It's really fun to compete for the best brain age. My only problem is that at times the game takes forever to recgonize what you're writing with the stylus and other times, like during the the color test, the mic gets frustrating. Especially on the word blue. We got Big Brain Academy but I didn't really get into it as much. It was sort of put off by a blob telling me his brain weighed more than mine. >.>

And with this thread I make my ultamite return to otakuboards again. Good to see some familar faces. I've been pretty frustrated with the screamo trend tately. They're flogging the hell out of magazines like Metal Hammer and it pisses me off. If they're going to be screamo lump them with all the other crap bands which you see in Alternative Press. Continuing on I'm seeing interviews now where members of bands like AFI are taking pot shots at nu metal bands. One guy was all like "I'm glad the nu metal and grunge trend is dying." Yet in another magazine I read there was somebody calling MCR and FFTL, Nu Metal. I think if they're going to pick apart genre's they need to actually give Nu Metal a definition. If they wanna call music crap, call it crap, not nu metal. Now onto the Headbangers Ball thing that arose. Last time I watched it, it was getting flogged by nothing but hardcore bands now. They've completly dropped anything by korn or slipknot in place of these ****** *** bands. I swear nothing in hardcore sounds unique. As I Lay Dying sounds almost exactly like Sinai Beach and people call are calling them gods practically. And it's this metalcore (hardcore punk which incorperates metal like Jake said) which is the cause. People think they can associate death metal with their cheap *** screamo because hardcore bridges the gap. It's really disgusting.

I just recently bought the self titled Danzig album. It's good but it doesn't live up to Glenn's other project Samhain and can't even match Misfits.

I think he'll do a much better job than this previous director did. Still he's got a style which I think could possibly conflict with the style of Harry Potter. M. Night is definetly experienced though. Signs was a great movie, although the Village was sort of a cheesy attempt to build off of the momentum Signs had. I only saw a little of the 6th Sense but I hear it was good. But yeah, nobody beats the original director from the first two movies.

I've got a few albums I'm waiting for. One is Wednesday 13's new album "Fang Bang." I love him and the Murderdolls so much. He's got an entirely new line up also featuring Eric Griffin who he worked with in Murderdolls, Racci Shay and Brix from dope as well. Racci worked in pre-Murderdolls too so he's better aquainted with what to expect. Also there's Stone Sour's new release "Come What(Ever) May" I heard the song: Reborn and I was so fascinated. It sounds like Corey Taylor's voice has returned to him, having been turned to **** during Slipknot, Vol 3. Subliminal Verses. Lastly, Mushroomhead's next album is out on 06/06/06. They have a new vocalist who I've only heard once. Wayland is his name I guess, because J Mann dropped out to pursue music elsewhere and you can't have just on vocalist in Mushroomhead.

I used to watch this show religiously. Back when Fox was god for us kids. My favorite character is Eric because he's alot like me. He's the underdog and yet a leader figure at the same time. Kelso was my least favorite character. I really can't stand Ashton Kutcher, his voice is really annoying. Me and my friends used to always choose who was who in the show. I sort of stopped watching it after the 7th grade just because it was getting boring watching the same episodes over and over again. It sucks because on all the Fox shows they brought new seasons in and stuff right after I stopped watching them.

I'm not exactly sure how long I've been here. Long enough to call it a home of mine. I did take a long time off when I was working on my own board. Sadly though that board sort of died. I think I'll try creating a board in a year when I'm a senior because I'll have more time. Maybe long enough to establish some actual frends here rather than showing up every once in awhile. It was about my freshman year when Im first came here. Lol, yes. Before it was OB V.7. I was doing work on an rpg with a couple friends like Arunue Shekamari. Sadly though we've all become distant except for me and Arunue who still talk. If I only I could get an rpg going that I could actually work with...

I went and saw the movie on Monday. While it wasn't the scariest movie of all time alot of people are failing to realize that it wasn't aimed at being frightful. The whole idea of scaring you is sort of over rated. It should be natural. By adding aditional plot points simply aimed at making you jump seems like a waste because it hurts the storyline. I loved the movie though. It was probably the music that was big for me because they kept to the Silent Hill theme using songs from the games to keep the effect. As for the plot, it may not be completly accurate concerning the original plot of the first game it still exceeds my expectations.
My favorite part in the movie was when Pyramid Head ripped the chicks skin off in front of the church. I nearly crapped myself right then and there because it was so intense.
So yeah. If I had been asked to rate the movie on a scale of 1 to 10 I would've awarded it a 9 for succeeding where other game movies have all failed.

The only reason I would be jealous of my friends is because they all seem to have more fun than me and I'm always left out or I can't do anything with them. I think it's just me but I was feeling very excluded for the longest time. Probably until Monday this week I was getting really depressed because I had though I had lost all my best friends. Really it's because we're all just so busy and we can't always hang out. I was so jealous though because while I was feeling that, all my friends looked so happy together and stuff. Thankfully I'm over that now. Jealousy can really rip you up inside.

Ah. Rob Zombie. He's my favorite artist of all time. What I hate right now is that people are beginning to call Rob Zombie a hick and stuff and that's he's giving up to country. That's totally not true. He likes to add his unique flavor to everything he does and his flavor changes from time to time. Back in White Zombie he was more punk oriented grungy guy and his music has the same. Very odd and grungy. Than after splitting with the WZ crew he went solo with Riggs, Blasko, and Tempesta. Hellbilly Deluxe, in my opinion is his greatest album ever. It's just pure perfection and the line up was great. His themed changed as well to more horror movie oriented style maintaning to grunge. Sinister Urge is when you see his grungy style begin to fade because he's getting sick of the same old stuff as well as his current line up. Hellbilly Deluxe and Sinister Urge are the only two albums he's ever released to have the same exact line up as before. House of 1000 Corpses is a great movie because not only is about killing and carnage and mayhem but it also represents the battle between the old zombie and the zombie that wanted to break out. With Devils Rejects you see him fully transform into a guy obsessed with simplicity and such. The same goes for his new album Educated Horses. It's not filled with robots and flames and nearly naked ladies. Instead you've got a ranch and some hippies. (I know, wtf mate) Rob Zombie is a shock rocker much like Alice Cooper. You can't expect the same thing everytime or it sounds like you're doing a cover of yourself. I can't wait for his new animated movie, "The Haunted World of El' Superbeasto" It's gonna be an adult oriented cartoon with hellish themes written all over it.

Lol, I did something like that on my obviously not cool message board a long time ago. Sadly though I got chewed out by the former admin.... *cooughdoitdesbrekocough*

Tarantino is probably my favorite director. He's like a modern Shakespeare The man is obviously insane which makes it all the better but we'll just set that aside for the moment. My favorite movie under his direction was Resevoir Dogs. Next to Pulp Fiction it's gotta be his best movie he's come out with. The thing about his movies is that you watch them and you're like it's smooth. He's got a style in his movies which nobody can replicate. He's also really slick because he puts these little ties between his movies. Like the fact that hitman Vincent Vega played by John Travolta is the brother of Vic Vega "Mr. Blonde" in Resevoir Dogs or that The Big Kahuna Burger in From Dusk Till Dawn was also eaten in, in Pulp Fiction. He also acts in alot of his movies and his performance in them is killer. His best role, was in Dusk Till Dawn in my opinion. He had the most room to really push his acting forward and let the viewer see a side of Tarantino we never see. He's got a new movie coming out this year called Grind House. If you're a Tarantino fan this will be a must see.

Well we just got our line up together and we're just waiting for Nick, our drummer to get his set moved to his dad's house than we're gonna begin pracitcing. We've all been writing lyrics up the wing wang. This will also be our first time ever playing together. I'm the vocalist because at the moment I can't play anything other than drumming and I don't have a set. My freind Ky who helped concieve the band is the guitarist although we need to get him an electric guitar because he's only got an acoustic, which will be helpful for the progressive parts. Our bassist, Jessica, is our newest addition to the band and than there's Nick. Name: The Mechanical Undead Genre(s): Nu Metal/Hardcore/Shock Rock/ Location: Redmond, OR Influences: Rob Zombie, Wednesday 13, Blind Guardian, Mudvayne, Darkest Hour. Once we begin practicing we'll probably do a couple covers to see where we're at and how much work we'll need before we can start recording. So yeah, we're not really a real band yet but once we practice we'll definetly know if it's gonna work or not. I'm maybe looking for a keyboardist because I want to add a minor Industrial sound to our band. I'm pretty sure doing that will set us apart from the local bands. We've already been through one bassist though who wanted to really take over control of the band when we all just want to jam and have fun and he was trying to take over....dirty facist. We haven't yet decided if aliases will be used. We're definetly gonna dress up for shows and stuff when that day comes...

Okay simple topic. Is music worth getting pissed off over because you just don't like it. I'm getting real sick of these hyprocritical alternative kids at my school who listen to their so called "emotionally charged punk music" and than turn around listen to hardcore crap, yet get pissed off because I like to listen to stuff with just a little melody in it. Today in my first period weight lifting class, I was listening to music over the stereo because I had put my mix cd in featuring alot of classic rock and metal stuff and our coach lets us listen to music. While listening to it I passed a guy who decided to give some crap. He was red in the face from lifting weights and he's like "Take out your cd, this music sucks." At the moment the song was Children of Bodom's: In Your Face. I tried brushing this off but the kid kept yelling. The previous two other guys had brought a mix with almost the same stuff. The kid didn't care for some reason. So I took this into consideration, and yelled back at him, asking him why he didn't get pissed at the two other kids from their music. Obviously you can't deal with this kind of person. He's all of a sudden freaking out worse than ever like asking me if I want to fight. This kid was huge but shorter than I am. So I went and turned the music off and my other friend put in his Misfits cd and somehow everybody got all happy except that now I had stares on me and the kid went around talking about me which I seriously hate. I'll admit I'm an overly sensetive person but this seems like such a trivial thing to get this worked up over. Thoughts? Comments? Stories?

I'm pretty much using the site to keep up with local bands and stuff and find out about shows. I have a myspace with a little over 200 friends. Half of those are good bands and stuff and the other half being only people I know. I love it how the press and news have been coming up with articles about how evil this site is. I remember back when there was one emo kid on there who killed himself and myspace tried to cover it up. Another site called YTMND totally made fun of it. I also use it because I'm trying to keep the few fans I have updated with the status of my band. Honestly, it's becoming the McDonalds/Wal-Mart of blog spaces on the internet in my opinion.

Yeah I have like never heard of this program before. Sounds very interesting however. I would join in just so I could go up in rank and command people. I dunno if i'm disciplined enough for something like this however. I know the other day however we had a "living history day" thing with our veterans from WWII and there was a presentation by some junior military hooha thing. Maybe that's what you guys are talking about.

Yeah, it's affected me. Music has partially helped shape who I am today. I listen to alot of industiral, metal, rock, punk, and classic stuff. Overall people could probably make a claim that I'm a goth kid. It doesn't matter though because I'm not. I'm just in the other catagory. I don't mind mild rap every once and a while and there are some good country songs. All in all though the music I listen to has led me to a craving for loud aggresive shows, spending half my paycheck of new music, and a longing to make my own band.

I missed it sadly. I would have loved to see Big Show and Kane out do Masters and Carlito. I find it real funny that Chavo tried doing the same thing Rey did at Wrestlmania, on Monday's RAW by dedicating his win to Eddie. The difference between the two matches is that Chavo lost badly and supposedly quit because of that. The match between Undertaker and Mark henry seemed a little random. I don't watch Smackdown hardly ever so I'm not sure if there was any sort of grudge or if that was put on.
