I apologize for my comment Lady Asphyxia, but it seemed like you were asking us to take in the situation of the rest of the world, and then weren't doing the same for us. I understand gas is expensive there as well, and on some standards it doesn't even compare to how low it seems here, but here, thats high for us. And its raising by the minute, so when someone posts about how low it actually is, it sort contradicts what everyone had been saying, and the subject of the spam letter in the first place.

I'm not a big fan of the Animatrix, I'm not sure if thats the eason I don't like it, but I wasn't a big fan of the art work as well as the randomness of the show, maybe it is the american influence that takes away from the show, I'm not sure

Ihave yet to see this anime, but everyone whos posted mentioned how funny it was, but my question is, is that all it is? is it serious as well? fights? from what I read it just sounds like some japanese kids telling jokes lol

finally, some adequate information, no offense to ladyarianrod but you should've posted a quote or something from one of the sites you say you've heard this from so it was at least believable, hearing Naruto being called Nathan is just so farfetched and I definitely don't think a company (which ever one owns rights to it) would alter the show so much before deciding to play it, no one would watch it

Lastly, please read the whole post before posting your character, it seems long but I promise its very intriguing, and it will be quite the adventure. [B]Story[/B] In a time not to far from our own, events are taking place in another dimension. This dimension has been ruled for years by an unruly tyrant known as Chaos. He aquired his power through the use of [I]Crest[/I]. [I]Crest[/I] is when a person's body becomes engraved with a certain emblem allowing them to use special power. Many [I]Crest's[/I] have been discovered but several more have yet to be found. It is thought that Chaos is engraved the most powerful of the [I]Crests[/I] but this is unconfirmed. On Chaos's rise to the top he destroyed several towns and took countless lives. He'd assembled an army of his own able to stand up to any that was already in place. Apparently he'd been planning his attack for quite some time and his strategies were flawless. He swept through city after city assuming control of the willing, and killing those who opposed him. On one of Chaos's raids he came across a town full of "defiants" as he called them. People who refused to accept his orders and planned to rebel. The solution, simple, to kill them all. And that was what ensued. Everyone in the town was killed, except for a young boy, who at the time of the raid was out exploring the forest. When he returned he found his town destroyed. Houses burn to the ground, cinders still smoking. He became frantic and ran home. There he found the lifeless bodies of his parents. His father lay dead, with a sword in hand, and his mother bloody and beaten lying next to him. The boy dropped to his knees and began to cry. He'd lost everything he once held dear... [I]Fast Forward[/I] Days away from the 20th year anniversary of his towns destruction a man walks along a dirt rode. His long black blows in the wind concealing his face. A long claymore sword draped across his back. His cape flapped in the wind breaking the long since silent dirt road. The man reached a village and entered the blacksmith's shop. He walked to the counter and spoke "Juren!" he shouted. A stout man with a beard came running from the back room "Yes yes, what is it?!" As soon as he saw the mans face his attitude changed "My lord! You've returned!" a smile draped across his face. The man gave a small smile "The day is approaching Juren, it is almost time to take my revenge." Juren's smile turned to a frown "Oh sir, must you go? You've just returned home after such a long journey, you should rest." The man walked from the counter to the window and stared "Don't be foolish Juren, you know I've been waiting for this for almost 20 years now." Juren let out a loud sigh "Yes yes...I know master, but its been almost a year since you left on your journey, did you ever find what you were looking for?" The man turned and said "Yes, we'll discuss it in private." The man and Juren entered the back room and the man began to speak "I've found it Juren, a man who has the power to engrave, after all these years." Juren gave a worried look "Well...what is he like?" The man gave a quick laugh "Hes quite unusual, but it matters not to me, hes an expert." The man removed his hair from in front of his face and Juren let out a gasp "S-S-Sir you've been engraved." The man's left eye was surrounded by an emblem of black ink. "I told you Juren, isn't it the best work you've ever seen? I am now embedded with the power of 3 crests. My plan is nearly complete, it is now time to gather our fighters. Juren, I leave it up to you to choose the fighters to accompany me to the Chaos's castle. Inform them that if they decide to aid me, they also will be engraved with the powers they choose, that should be more then enough to gather some followers." Juren stood up straight and saluted the man. "Yes sir, I promise to find you the best fighters available to accompany you." ---------------------------------------- Your job is to accompany the man (Roland Summers, who will be referred to as leader by his companions) to the castle of the tyrant Chaos and help him achieve victory. Even with the [I]Crests[/I] fighting would be suicide for just anyone. Juren has gathered those who have their own motivation to destroy Chaos and end his reign. The journey will be long and treacherous, choose your equipment and crests well. It won't be easy. Crest of Fury [B]Non-Playable Characters[/B] [I]Juren[/I]-A rather short man who serves under Roland. He keeps up his house while hes away as well as various other tasks Roland gives to him. Hes always nervous and quite clumsy. [I]Godo[/I]-A tall slim man who resembles a jester. Godo is the engraver Roland was referring to earlier in the story. Hes what you would call "different." He most people think him crazy, but Roland seems to have the method to his madness. He will be the one responsible for your crests. Others may be added as time progresses... [B]Crests[/B] When choosing crests keep in mind that you may only choose three. Two will be engraved on your left and right hands and the last is up to you. You may not choose the same 3 crests as a character that has already been posted. However, you can have some of the same (example: if someone has the crests of awakening, fury, and manipulation, you could still use 1 or two of the crests mentioned, just not the exact three, however, I'd like some diversity, so try to apply different crests to different characters). Crests may not be removed mid story, but after certain events and/or battles the characters may become stronger and be able to be engraved once more, and only once more, but this is not yet decided. [I]Crest of Awakening[/I]-The ability to awaken the dead to serve you in battle. Dead souls take the forms of their previous life (example:if the soul a person is invoked, they come back just as they left, if the soul of a demon is invoked, it comes back just the same). [I]Crest of Fury[/I]-The ability to create an aura around your body increasing strength and speed greatly. [I]Crest of Manipulation[/I]-The ability to manipulate living things to do your bidding in and out of battle. [I]Crest of Illusion[/I]-The ability to create illusions, including those to alter your own appearence, the appearence of others, or to create an intirely seperate illusion. [I]Crest of the Dragon[/I]-The ability to command a dragon of your choice to help in battle as well as movement from place to place. Juren is the keeper of your dragons at a cave near your home, you will be taken there to choose your dragon in your opening story if you choose this crest. You must describe your dragon as well. [I]Crest of Light[/I]-The ability to envoke the power of angels to aid you in battle. Feathered wings sprout from your back and your weapon is encased in a white aura increasing movement, attack power, and the ability to manipulate light (used to light up dark caves, rooms, etc) [B]- Unable to use Crest of Darkness - [/B] [I]Crest of Darkness[/I]-The ability to envoke the power of demons to aid you in battle. Blood red wings sprout from your back and your weapon is encased in a black aura increasing movement, attack power, and the ability to manipulate darkness (used to blanket the field in darkness to aid in battle) [B]- Unable to use Crest of Light - [/B] [I]Crest of Destruction[/I]-The ability to create explosions in places you select and/or manipulate explosions to a certain size or power. [I]Crest of Wind[/I]-The ability to manipulate the power of wind. You're able to fly as well as move things with the power of wind. [I]Crest of Stealth[/I]-The ability to walk without being heard and manipulate the shadows to conceal movement. Also increases speed and stamina allowing you to run fast and jump long distances. [I]Crest of Empowerment[/I]-The ability to aid allies in battle. This includes the ability to increase an allies strength and/or speed as well as heal wounds (able to be used on dragons as well). [I]Crest of Intelligence[/I]-The ability to use magic. You are able to use your own energy to create non-elemental blasts. You are also able to manipulate the elements to perform to form attacks (example:using ice to create shards to attack the enemy). This crest also makes the user more intelligent, witty, and an unstoppable problem solver. [I]Crest of Time[/I]-The ability to create rips in time with your weapon. After the rip is created you can jump through and appear wherever you choose within a given area. [I]Crest of Change[/I]-The ability to change to another physical shape. This includes animals, demons, or even objects if the situation calls for it. [I]Crest of Vision[/I]-The ability to see things others cannot. This includes the ability to sense enemies before encountering them as well as clear vision in light as well as dark. You also have the ability to see into the future but this power is uncontrollable and you only get these visions in certain instances of time. I like standardized tests actually, sometimes it depends on the type of test given, but I like to know that I'm not given "sympathy grades" as I call them. I don't want an A for any other reason than that I actually worked for it. And I definitely don't want someone stupider then me getting a better grade because of an impartial teacher when I worked harder. I was never really school-oriented, but sometimes if its something important I'll really work for it and I want the grade I actually deserve

I've thought of this for awhile, since my last post, and I began to think that the death penalty is to good for some of these people, it gives them an easy way out of the mistakes they've made, if you killed someone, wouldn't it be worse to live longer, sit in a jail all day and have nothing to do but think about what you'd done, as long as the jail is secure, they have no way of escape, could you imagine sitting in a desolate room for hours contemplating the mistake you chose to make? maybe I'm just "sinical" but I think having to suffer through your own memories is a far worse punishment then being killed

hopefully it'll be pretty good, I have high expectations for it cause I really like the anime, I'll be pretty mad if they mess up to conform to the game though

I'm definitely excited about the manga, I havn't gotten around to actually buying the FMA series on DVD, so I have to wait till Saturday and watch it on CN. The manga will solve my problem of FMA withdraws lol.

Sometimes people like to extend on a certain series so that the ending is more suited to their own liking. People even redo whole animes with the same characters as the original and just do things they like, with their own story. This creates lots of carbon copys of animes/manga with the same title, but not the same concept.

I agree with quincy, Otaku is definitely a sate of mind, rather then a label to call your self, I don't really like the thought of people arguing over whos more Otaku, its a lost argument anyway, for one thing, why are you arguing about some so insignificant? and second, what are you arguing for in the first place, whether you love anime or just watch it from time to time, it doesn't mean your less of a person or less "Otaku", anime is just a lower priority for you rather then someone else who really likes anime

Tsuke trys to ignore the voice but he finds it impossible, he is overcome by a demon soul, and does as it wishes. [I]Smoke Shintai[/I]-The ?Kuei-jin? can create smoke illusions. [I]Clarification[/I]-Tsuke usually uses smoke in his demon form to shadow his own attacks. In his demon form hes able to sense his enemy and attack even when the field is covered in smoke. In his human form he sometimes uses his smoke ability to flee from an overwhelming opponent. [I]Iron Mountain[/I]-The ?Kuei-jin's? skin becomes hard as marble and becomes impervious to hand to hand and melee attacks. [I]Clarification[/I]-Tsuke is often vulnerable due to his lack of armor and/or a shield. He uses this ability in close encounters to protect himself from the enemies attacks.

I don't think its the actual Xenosaga disc, its probably your PS2, even after only 1 1/2 years of play, depending how you treated it it can have mad dust problems. I've run into them myself while playing games like Star Ocean 3, I actually just blew on the open slots on the front and back of my PS2 and the game ran better lol. Sounds simple, but it worked for me, and as Generic said, Xenosaga is a bit more layered then other games, so if there was a ever a game your PS2 would have a problem with, it would be one like this.

well, like someone else said, it is a needed resource, but there is alternatives to buying high priced gas, they're just not widespread yet, you know, solar powered cars, electrically powered cars, or just the good old fashion way of walking or biking where you want to go (I know, only for places close to you), but still, people are working on alternative to this problem regarding the gas, well, I don't think boycotting saudi arabian oil would really make a difference, its just us, going out of our way to "get back" at another country whos doing the same to us, well, I think it would be a bigger waste of time rather then a sinical plot of revenge

I believe things are fine the way they are, mods are chosen because they're judgement is trusted, if they don't believe a thread is adequate, then they'll close it, and thats the end, its really not someone elses place to question them, unless it was a completely outrageous close, which I don't imagine happens often, and mistakes and such are just, not a big deal, at least not to me, typing thousands of letters and words are forum warrants several mistakes, and I doubt people would judge you on a typing error made 6 months ago on a post no ones looked at since No reason to shell yourself O-Ren, no ones perfect here :animesmil
