people keep reminding me of these awesome battle systems, I havn't played Legend of Dragoon in forever, but thanks to Iori Yagama ;) , I remembered how much fun I had playing, the combos were crazy, at the end of the game combos could be as much as 15-16 moves, and it takes a lot of practice to actually get the timing down so that you could execute the combo, there was also the switch into dragoons, and dragoon moves and combos were definitely awesome, ahh, thanks Iori *starts playing Legend of Dragoon*

anime is definitely more "showy" for lack of a better word, if you asked a normal person, they'd most likely go for the one on tv, people just expect to be better, but I don't really think thats the case, the manga stories are awesome, and unless you spend tons of money on anime DVD's you can't watch it all the time, but manga is always there, even so, its still a tie for me, each has its pro's and con's, and I don't really think I could choose if I had to, cause I'd enjoy one, but miss the other :(

I seem to find myself watching Yu Yu Hakusho over and over again, its just a really good, solid series, its fun to watch the story develop from beginning to end, and when you watch it over you seem to notice things that you didn't the first time through, Berserk is the same, as basically everyone has mentioned lol

internet piracy is a mixed issue, people will say its wrong and then go and contradict themselves by downloading music, games, etc and trying to justify it, but even so, no matter the terms of the theft, it is still theft. and it gets worse and worse everyday, even firewall and protective programs alike can't stop people from stealing things from the internet, one of the biggest issues in america is identity theft, which is adequate proof that people are becoming more advanced and technology just isn't keeping up, some people make a living, a rather good one, just stealing things from the internet and selling them, and if you ask me, we've reached a pretty bad low when one of the most profitable businesses in the world is to steal things and not even acknowledge the person who created it

I've been to lots of good shows, ozzfest last year was alright, and taste of chaos was pretty good too, my favorite was probably an Atreyu and Norma Jean show played at a club around here, for a small show it was one of the best I've ever seen, each played about an hour set and the crowd was crazy

I've seen tons of previews for it, but I'm still not really sure what its about lol, anyhow, it definitely looks good, lots of good actors, and directors, so I'm looking forward to checking it out

I most relate to wind or air, wind is free, forever blowing and going where it chooses, it has several sides, there is no better feeling then a soft breeze on your face in the depths of a hot summer, but wind is powerful, and can form itself into a hurricance, or tornado and destroy anything in its path, if there was any element I would like to be related to, it would definitely be wind

I am athiest, and I feel it to be the perfect religion for me, I like to live life by my own rules, not those pre-set for me by someone else, I'm sure many people believe that I'll be going to hell and I can burn forever thanks to my beliefs, I've heard it several times before and I have lots to say to that... #1-If your Christian, I hope not to hear a word from you, I've read the bible and I've been the church and it is a sin to judge someone is not Christian. Christians are held to higher standard through the bible and are not supposed to judge others who have different beliefs. #2-I don't believe I'll be going to hell. I believe that there is a greater power and god or no god, if you live a good life, treat people well, and repent rather then pray for the things you've done wrong, you will be repayed. #3-There is a song I heard that represents my feelings perfect, its called "At Least I Know I'm A Sinner" by the band Atreyu. And I believe every word of that song to be true. Anyone who hears of someone elses religion and chooses to judge them will pay the true price in the end. Life is hard enough and each pf us need the support of our fellow man, not a critque

I believe in the supernatural to a certain extent, I do believe that ghosts, or the souls of dead people watch over us, maybe its just a nice thought that comforts me, its nice to think the people you love are always watching out for you, however, I don't really believe the people that say they can communicate with ghosts or dead spirits, I think its very insulting, people like "Miss Cleo" and that stupid guy who had his own show about it, I can't really remember his name, but really, I thought it was pretty retarded how he could say "August" and 5 people in the audience would say "oh well, my husband dided in august, is it him??" and he'll say "yes yes, I believe it is," thats not supernatural abilities, they made fun of him on south park as well, I thought it was hilarious, he won biggest deustch in the universe award...thank you south park :D

I was watching the news earlier this morning and heard that the family and husband are still disputing each other consider the funeral, this disturbed me, even after the death of their family memeber and wife they still continue to bicker over small things that could be easily solved by sitting down and talking about it

a lot people said it depends on the situation, well, I don't think its ever wrong, maybe I'm just a "hopeless romantic" but love is overwhelming, when your love you say and do things you ordinarily wouldn't do, and yes, some of these things might be wrong, but you are consumed by feelings for that person and your judgement is impared, so I don't usually place all the responsibility on the person's actions however, there is something important you should remember, people change, the person you love could change so you no longer them, you could change and have the same result, or you both could love each other and everything you worked for could be ruined in an instant, so before you go and tell someone you love them, make sure its something you truly believe, something your willing to risk everything for, most importantly your happiness, and when you say it, make sure its sincere, so the person your saying it to knows they mean something to you, its hard, but love is one of the most beautiful things this word has to offer us, so cherish it

well, first off, the issue of cutting, I think its taken to seriously, now maybe thats just the way I see it, because I use to cut, all the time, and its an addiction just like any other, I'm not ashamed nor proud of this previous action, I take responsibility for the mistakes I made, and realized that the situation I was in, was my own fault, I would be sad because I was lonely, but didn't even realize I was pushing the people who cared for me the most away from me, cutting made me feel better, and if you havn't done it, then I don't expect for you to understand, but I trust the people in these forums enough to share this with them, and expect not to be judged on mistakes I've made in my life second, suicide is a very complicated thing to understand, theres so many things to take in consideration, its almost impossible to make a distinction between selfish or selfless, or even right or wrong, the bible says its wrong, but since i was born I've been living life on my own terms, not by those previously written by prophets of god, and that is the way I choose to things, its a matter of opinion

I saw it, and as everyone in this post said, it just wasn't spectacular, and with all the promotion done for the movie you'd think it'd be amazing, I havn't seen the japanese version of the ring, so I can't really compare the two, but I believe the first was definitely better, I'm not really a horror fan in the first place, but I don't think the movie was above average in anyone's opinion, at least not from what I read

April Fools Day isn't really to big here, its really unfortunate, cause I like it too, I've been playing jokes on my sister for years, my best was probably the one I played on my dad, hes one of those really up-tight always stressed kind of people, and I came in the house looking shaken and told him I was in a car accident and the car was totalled, his face turned completely red and he just started screaming at me, about 30 secs into his rave he noticed I was laughing at him, and I was grounded for a week, which was well worth the look on his face when I told him the worst joke played on me was probably when I fell asleep at school, my friends got the bright idea to put make-up on me, so there I was, talking around the school in full-blown eye shadow, mascara, etc, I eventually noticed, after the whole school had their laugh, and went in the bathroom and washed it off :animeblus

chances are, you won't get an answer, I get what your saying, but its sort of contradictory to say that suicide is selfish, the whole basis of suicide is that life is just to hard, you hate yourself, and the people around you, you don't like you, your disappointed for one reason or another in yourself, so why would you do something for yourself? you've made so many other previous attempts to be happy, why do this for that same reason? I guess if you look at it that way suicide is neither selfish nor selfless

you definitely don't have to worry about your music being judged here, I think "punk" people who post get angry because people that they don't like, like the same music, like "they shouldn't be allowed to listen to that, I listen to it", its stupid, they're trying so hard to be different that they're the same as everyone else :rolleyes:

I'm definitely with dagger on this one, there might a lot of good examples supporting the opinion that anime is sexist, but there just isn't enough, especially compared to the amount of women in anime that aren't so stereotypical, and even if they do have somewhat of a sexual appearence, it doesn't mean they don't have something behind, beyond the actually looks of the character, an example often used is Faye, or even Major from Ghost in Shell, both look to be a stereotypical anime character, but both have a back story, something that interests and intrigues people to actually watch the show and see how things play out, don't judge a book its cover in real life, and don't do it in anime

KOTOR is definitely addicting, I beat each one twice and it still left me wanting more, but the one game I was really addicted to was Suikoden III I beat it at least 3-4 times and it never got old, choosing different character line-ups, abilities, etc., it never got old

Dagger should make this post sticky or something so everyone knows what its like to be new here lol, everyones made mistakes, bad posts, no ones perfect, especially when it comes to the hundreds of posts being made, of course they're not all going to be perfect, and although harsh sometimes, in the long run it definitely makes for better threads and a more interesting forum experience

I saw that she died earlier this morning, and I felt a strange feeling, somewhat of relief? Even though she was starved to death, the doctors said she was incapable of feeling the pain involved, and hopefully thats true. I think I felt relief because this has gone on much to long, and I believe her parents were punished by not being able be with her when she died for their actions. there really isn't a right or wrong in this case, but my opinion is, they were wrong, and delaying the inevitable, is never an option...

I'm definitely impressed kitty, I looked over all three, and I'm most fond of the first set, I was never a big fan of the sketchy kind of font, mine always a bit more classical if you know what I mean? anyway, I give the first set a 9.5 The next set I like as well, just not as much as the first, someone mentioned the colors, which are good, but I like the graphic, its more of an outstanding feature, and it kind of symbolizes you, at least to me, since its always in your sig, I give you a 9 on these The last set, was alright, it has good and bad points, like the second set, I'm not a big fan of kingdom hearts, but I like the last banner you did, with the eyes in the background, gives it sort of a mysterious look, 8.5 for the 3rd set, and 9.5 for the banner lol
