What is sad is that I think I have used that line in a chat before. Heh. I hope there is more of me later on.
[ps. no one remind him of that string of female avatars I had at one time. It might give him ideas. Wait he can- oops. =P]
-
People question me as to how RPGs can die and I never have a really set answer for them. Thank you, Tori. I believe I can finally give them a good, reasonable answer, lol.

Ken walked into the sitting room after evesdropping, a stern, serious look on his face. He was dressed in casual clothes- black, baggy jeans and an orange shirt. He glanced at the various people, and then to Jenna. "Did you happen to know the time when you this occured? Maybe even an estimate?" Ellie looked at him oddly, "How do yo-" "I was listening. I listen alot. Now if you please, answer my question." "Actually, I know the exact time. It would have been 10:45-46." Jenna said. "Are you sure?" "Positive." ".......... you're sure they came in the front door?" "Yes." "What does that matter?" D'Ann asked with a raised eyebrow. "It doesn't. To you, that is. Thank you for the information." Ken walked away as quiet as he had arrived, quickly and efficently. "He knows something." D'Ann murmered. Ken called out, "I probably do. Doesn't mean you should murmer under your breath about it." -- He continued to walk away, needing a mix of answers and breakfast. The answers to the prediciment that was the fact that he had locked the door soundly shut before the time Jenna had given him. Grabbing a nearby box of poptarts, conviently left out by an unknown person, he ripped some out of the wrapper and shoved them into the toaster, tapping his finger impatiently. A low lying sense of insecurity was with him now. But, he had to ignore it- there weren't enough facts.. for now. Out popped his poptarts- as advertised. He grabbed a saucer and tossed them on it, sitting down with a more content look on his face. Chomping idlely, his mind drifted to other things.

After speaking to several townspeople- just to comfort them, no one wanted to accompany him it seemed- Ensis stood alone infront of his house. The sky was a pale gray, stormclouds gathering to inundate the town in an ironically gloomy rainfall. He stared into them, connecting with them- listening to what they had to say. It was no different- with the sentinent morals finally receving the news everything, litereally everything, was to some degree worried. But the dead feeling inside him that refused to go away didn't leave him room to worry. His trance, as usual, was broken by a voice. "So you are finallly leaving here, eh?" Ensis glanced over to the voice, forceing a grin. "Yea. No good for a healer to be where no one needs healing. Doesn't really matter, I was going to leave here pretty soon eventually. Restless." "Leaving today?" "Probably. I would prefer to have someone join me in my journey, but I guess I do not blame people remaining where they feel safest." "You seem different," Alex tilted his head a bit as he spoke, "What happened?" "When you have nightmares people always offer the 'sound' advice that it is infact just a dream, and no realer than your imagination. They do not know a damn thing about what they are speaking of." Alex looked at him puzzled and opened his mouth to speak, but Ensis shook his head. "Don't worry about it. I need to go pack a few things I will be needing. Listen, I might not be back for awhile. When I come back I expect that whole side of the road to be a farm, understand?" "You bet, heh." He stepped away, walking twards his house at a slow pace. Off to his right, he noticed a figure approaching him- it was Elda. He was hoping that she would join him in his journey- but right now she was still distressed. Both of them were distressed. They needed each other. --- Elsewhere --- A large hall stood in D'Yarhe, the hall of a family. It belonged to the Venefiscus family- its line started in this port town. Within it an emergency meeting was being planned for the family, decisons were to be made- there was a strong need for the skills the Veneficus' had, but it was a long journey. Surely, fate would have it that closest port to Ensis would be that city. But, amongst the chaos of planning and sending the messages out, a middle aged man stood on a balcony with his hand on his chin. He had travelled here a couple of days ago from his home in Shaar to see some of his fellow Venefiscus. Fate would, once again, have it that he would be stuck here. For a couple of weeks, actually. Irritating as that was, the man was looking foreward to one thing about this meeting. "Let's see how successful my son is after a year. Bet he is still the best fighter with a stave in all the land, quick as a fox. Almost as smart as me. Family meetings have a use after all." Walking into the hall, he was immediately asked something by some random family member. He remembered suddenly why he had escaped to the balcony in the first place- too late to retreat back there now. "Kenneth, we were thinking of letting you deliver the message to Ensis. You could suprise him- might as well take advantage of the sheer luck of you being here." "Now that is not such a bad idea. Damn fine, if you ask me. I'll be glad to do it." "Sir, would you like an escort? There have been reports of bandits in the area." Kenneth arched his eyebrow at the young man- what? That was laughable. The only person that could defeat him in battle was his son, who he had trained himself. Still, there was no reason to boast. "No, I think I can handle a few rogue bandits. If I can't, you'll hear about it in a few months." "Er... alright." Kenneth nodded to the people around him and took the letter, walking twards the door. His stave appeared next to it, and he grabbed it. Placeing it on his shoulder, he began to head twards Fenwyr. "Man my feet are going to hurt for years after this... Shaar to here to Fenwyr to here to Shaar. But, this is a great chance for a suprise on Ensis." His eyes grew narrow and diistant, "The peace has died. Will this world die with it?" --- Fenwyr --- "Elda.." Ensis began. "I am going with you." She said. His numb state diminshed a large amount with those words. He was glad, glad that they would be together. "You don't know how good it is to hear someone, especially you, say that.."

Depends. The superstitions where you do blablabla + blablabla and weird, supernatural blablabla happens I do not believe in- Although, trying them out is fun. I was born in San Antonio, Texas- the home of the Alamo, several Spanish missions, the NBA champions and other things that mean alot on paper, but actually do not. I lived in Universal City, Texas- that doesn't mean much, really. It is right next to San Antonio, Texas. That was for 8 years, and then I moved into San Antonio itself- woopie. 45% mexican, 35% english or german, 15% indian, 5% black is what I think I am from talking to my mother and such. I don't know for sure because of outside circumstances. Heh.

Ken himself was having a hard time falling to sleep- he had always slept with a fan near his bed, and the sudden all-consuming silence that most people were used to when they sleep irritated him. Finally after what seemed like years of futile readjustments to his position in the bed, he stood up and sighed, staring at a random wall. He finally stood, walking over to the dresser and grabbing a small clock that Ellie had placed there. It was only 9:57. "Damn, it is still pretty fucking early. Eh, I guess I could go for a walk or something to ease my frayed nerves." He slid on some clothes, trying to be as quiet as possible- but not too much, the silence seemed to be eating him up more as he payed more attention to it. At an abnormally quick pace he slid out of the room and through the house, reaching the front door. He fumbled around for the lock, the darkness and silence shaking hands, realizing what good business partners they were. Before he found it, there was a slight sound somewhere behind him, lost in the hallways and rooms. He turned and narrowed his eyes, sternly searching the darkness. The noise happened again, a bit further away, a bit more cautious. His common sense, shaking it's head, finally stepped foreward and presented a slew of logical reasons as to why he shouldn't worry. Slowly he shook his head, blaming his unusual paranoia on the mix of darkness, silence and unfamiliarity of the house. Still, he made haste in unlocking the door and stepping outside, walking around aimlessly outside. Finally he wandered away from the house, recklessly leaving the door unlocked in the process. Around 35 minutes passed. Ken was finally arriving back at the house after a nice walk, singing as quietly as he could to himself. There was an immediate sensation of something being wrong around him. An invisible radar in his mind passively collected the data his senses were picking up. Eyes narrowing, he remembered that he had not locked the door before his idle wandering. The shadows moved, and Ken calmly resolved to arm himself with a makeshift weapon He grabbed the nearest thing he could find- it was a small, frail stick whos days of glory were long since passed. "What the fuck? God forsaken.." The stick flew to the side with a quick toss. He resumed trying to find some sort of small defensive tool, but all he could get was a moderately larger, sturdier stick. Mentally sighing, he knew he had to work with this stick- even if the moonlight was shining down on him like a spotlight. The show must go on. "Who is there?" Silence. He said the first thing that came to his mind. "I warn you, I am a skilled monk from Nepal whos mastery in the art of fighting with this hefty, sturdy wooden staff is the best on this continent." As soon as he said that, a large grin on his face formed- how stupid was that? His logic was screaming at him for being such a fool, but, with his lack of sleep and weariness from the day, it was all his usually keen mind could muster. Still, there was no response- Ken tossed the stick in the direction he had seen the person move. Wether it hit them or not didn't matter, it was a distraction- he tore through the front door and immediately locked it. The only way anyone could get in now is if they had a key, but that was stupid. The only people who had access to the key were.. well.. all his friends in the house. With that logic he felt secure, relieved- but still, what if... He headed back to bed, resolveing to not tell anyone of his odd encounter- it could have been paranoia, his mind playing tricks on him. No reason to appear melodramatic. Lost in his thoughts, he finally slid into a sleep only a couple of minutes later at 10:42.

Ensis remained numb emotionally and physically. No, not just numb emotionally- almost shattered. The pain he had expierenced had been almost too much for him to handle. He understood what had occured, but he, for once, had no good advice.. Really, what advice could he give? Even with the facts presented by the reliving of the Ma'Uriith 'incident', it remained vague to him. Many scenarios played out in his mind as he tryed to work backwards- but he still could not find the cause for the destructive effect. Finally his eyes looked upwards into the sky, watching the last of the spirits depart for their homes. "There is no Ma'Uriith anymore. The people that died there are numerous, the refugees and shattered souls seemingly more numerous. Scattered like ashes across the ocean they are. It has ceased to exist as a city, as a location- even as a landscape. Ruined, desolate, destroyed. Bloodied. Yes, no Ma'Uriith anymore.." The glow in his eyes lessened as the spiritual presence finally returned to normal. Elda looked fearful, the gears were turning at a fearful pace in her head, but it was a daunting thing to swallow. That was obvious from the sheer panic in the streets. Ensis then spoke again, but in a more monotone, emotionless voice rather than the poetic lamenting he had done just a moment earlier. "That is not all. Some of the people have noticed something I had been watching for several weeks now. The typically spectacular and extraordinarily radiant flora in this area has deteriorated in said-radiance noticeably. Something is sapping the strength or mana or power, whatever term you use, from the very life in the area." Ensis eyebrow twitched at the sheer panic that was going on outside his home. With a swift movement he jumped up onto his roof, clearing this throat. With a resounding yell that reverberated even louder thanks to a bit of magic, he said, "GOOD PANICING CITIZENS OF FENWYR, I ASK ALL OF YOU TO LEND ME AN EAR, JUST FOR A MOMENT." Most of the crowd froze with the shattering yell, stareing upwards at the young man. A large crowd formed around the house, all eyes upon Ensis- he smiled briefly before returning to his numb state. "I have decided to go to Ma'Uriith and the surronding area. Alot of people need help- physical help, help with wounds, people to talk to. If any one would like to join me, I would appreciate the company. If not, I understand. That is all. Continue your hurried panic."

I wish I owned this movie. Mabye Blockbuster won't miss their copy. I love it. I have watched it on several occasions, and it just seems to never get old. Robin Williams has such a wide range when acting, it is really wonderful.
Of course it was the father's fault, lol. Even if it was the last push, it was still a push.

ANSWER Anti-War Rally -What was the question, again?
DeathKnight replied to Shinken's topic in General Discussion
Lol. What makes the US an 'Empire', [or 'United State' since it is a democracy]- no matter what we invade now or in the future- is the annexation of the Republics of Texas and Hawaii [California too?]. Hell, Hawaii was annexed under questionable means, even. Ever since then the United States has, and will be, an 'empire'/'united state'. Now the invasion of Iraq was a bad deal for the United States. In my opinon, they probably wanted to secure more oil- however, you can't invade saying "we just want the oil". There has to be a better pretence or else a general uproar would rush across the world. So our pretence was the weapons of mass destruction that, of course, do not exist. I might be wrong, it is still kinda open in the air what our true, not lieing goal was there. Oh well. People will protest, they always do. -
Originally posted by Shy and then straight men will go back to fearing and misunderstanding gay people.
Haha. I hope you aren't stereotyping there. You would be a hypocrite. Anyway. I don't really find how it could "help" the gay community. However, I doubt it will "hurt" it either. It, to me, is an "eh" situation. I tolerate them. They annoy me, but I try to ignore it. I honestly prefer hanging out with just normal homosexual guys and girls- they are all great people, nothing wrong with them at all.
For some reason the "sensitive guy" idea is appeling to me.
lol. There have been sensitive males since the beginning of time. You just have to find them.

Favorite toy when you were little
DeathKnight replied to BlazinReddrgn's topic in General Discussion
I think my favorite toys were legos. One time at a garage sale, my parents found a huge [extraordinarily huge] tub of random legos, taken from differing sets. They bought it, and for years I would build my own little towns and skyscrapers. Aside from that I was really into dinosaurs- I had tons of little dinosaurs, ranging from just little plastic ones to large, detailed sons of a gun. Honestly, I was on the computer alot as a child- playing stuff like Crystal Caverns, Civilization, the first Master of Orion. Hehe. -
Originally posted by Harry Why do you people keep on parading like around like suicide is cool?
Hahaha. Why is it cool to some people? It has an aura of mystery around it, something that cannot be cleared and seen in its pure form easily. That is what makes it romantically allureing, poisonously seductive, to people. Dunno if it is cool or not to me. It is more of a personal matter, I guess.
you're only helping them do it by giving the the poor souls that can't handle their situation a way out and still feel like they won't be hated.
Maybe. Hatred for suicides differs from person to person. I cannot confirm if it would exist or not in that situation, because I don't know the people the death would affect. It is highly probable that would be the intial, if not long lasting, emotion felt by the 'victims'.
My cousin killed himself and nobody at all thought of him as being strong willed or anything.
May your cousin rest in peace.
They all thought he was selfish because he was selfish.
Alright.
I don't see how you can't label someone selfish when they know they're taking themselves away from their loved ones.
It would depend on the emotional grief they experience when they think about that. Some of them might be selfish. Some of them not.
He's not really glorifying it, but he's basically defending their decision, and I think that's wrong.
Hehe. Then think of it as wrong. I don't need your acceptance of my opinons. But, it was not a defense at all. Just a rejection of the stereotype that the subject of suicide brings of cowardly, selfish bastards looking for an 'easy' way out. I offered him advice that would lead him off the path of dieing, self inflicted or from that 'other person'. I guess some people missed the other *two-thirds* of the post. I suppose I sort of condone suicide. Eh.

OOC: Mitch's post had stunned me for a few days, but I am successfully back into reality. ;P ---- Ken was pondered quietly, coming to the quick conclusion he would enjoy a nice swim. He got dressed into the generic swimwear and stepped over to a dresser-mirror, checking himself over- just in case. Without his shirt, there were a few scars that could be seen now.. otherwise it was all good. Hair messed up as usual. He laughed a bit at that and grabbed a towel from the various things strone out on his bed- the next thing that he had to do was toss the little crap he had into the various available spaces. "Eh, thank god I didn't bring a ton of ****. Not that I.. had.. a ton of **** to.. bring. Ah, whatever." For now, he wanted to relax a bit and see if the pool was as outstanding as the house/mansion/castle.. so he began to make his way there. --- Arriving, the only people there were Tori, Ellie and Jenna. They were discussing Tori's waitress uniform, and from the discussion it sounded like it would be a lovely uniform- one fit for Tori, indeed. He jumped into the deep end of the pool, as good of a distance as he could get from the others- trying not to destroy them with some monsterous tidal wave. Still, being the tall, somewhat large person he was, there was a substantial choppyness in the water. It was highly refreshing- pumping him full of energy. Coming to the surface, he floated idley, letting the water wash away the various ills that the hectic move had placed on mind and body.

I would like to start off this post by giving the middle finger to, not only God, but all the misinformed people who have the biased opinon that suicide is cowardly or selfish. If any of the people that said something to that effect have been at the crossroads between life and suicide, yet still believe it is a cowardly/selfish thing to do- then you, my friend, should probably have carried through with it. I could go into a long rant about the things that plague your mind when you are at that point, and that the idea of a suicidal person being selfish is laughable- seriously laughable. Anyway, the aforementioned ideas should be to your best interest. It sounds like you are not suicidal, but would rather prefer to get someone else to take you out- that is, actually, your personal choice. Message boards are not a good place for life advice. But, if you really need some really good advice, consider getting advice from loved ones- someone you trust completely. This is if you can, of course- I clearly cannot grasp or know about the full situation at hand from your post, so that might not be possible in your situation. And remember that everyone 'hurts' people. Purposely or not, it is a part of the learning process- the process that never ends. Finally, on the issue of what keeps people going, you should probably realize that the prospect of just living fuels alot of people- it doesn't take much to provide you the emotional means to continue living, all it takes is the willpower/mindset/attitude to do so. That last paragraph is personal opinon. I know that sometimes it is not that easy, but I think you should take some other path aside from the one that leads to early death, heh.

It is actually quite unfortunate, really, that cursing has become something of a normalcy in society. I find that you can be as devilishly harsh or blunt without having to use them, if you put your mind to it. Ho hum. I guess I am not one to talk. Anyone who has chatted with me on AIM knows that I curse a tiny bit- just a wee few words here and there. Anyway. As said earlier, grow used to it- that is what you have to do. The good thing is, that while doing that, you yourself can make the choice not to cuss. [/end post that you did not expect from me]

OOC: Lets form a "pick up Charles from random hotel in random locale" fellowship. :D --- Ken tilted his head, overcoming the slight startle he had gotten from the door opening. He walked over and offered his free hand, not wanting to appear rude- even if he WAS just in a towel. "Sorry I didn't make an appearance sooner, but I passed out in the hallway. What a crazy night it was." "You actually remember what happened?" "Funnily enough, I didn't drink alot. It was a great time though. Stuff like hula-hoop racing even. Just fun little things like that." He grabbed some clothes and put them on his shoulder, pausing a moment to consider the situation at hand, finally coming to the conclusion that he had to ask- might as well be honest, they are going to be roommates. "How do you uh.. want to work the changing of the clothes thing? It wouldn't bother me, but I want to make sure its alright before I just randomly start dressing."

I have a headache after reading this topic. Humans are not monsters in the least, really. We aren't perfect Gods or anything, but we do a deal of good along with the bad. It just takes time for us to react to problems that are on a global, or even national, scale. For example, alot of people are becoming environmentally aware in recent decades- not from a tree telling them about the air pollution, or a crab pointing out littering on the beach. It is from other humans paying attention, noticing that the world could use some healing- and acting on that. It takes 'good' people to put a 'good' influence on other people. It is true there are alot of idiots out there. Maybe it isn't their fault for being greedy/stupid/emotionally numb to destroying other people, or maybe it is. I am not one to judge, and honestly no one here is either. Oh, and the stupid doom-sayers that speak of a nuclear apocalypse need to shut the **** up, lol. I am tired of this melodramatic scenario of a ton of evil leaders pushing the red button and destroying the world with the evil nuclear weapons- it's old now, please get something else to piss your pants over. In other words, I agree with what was said earlier- individuals can be monsters. It takes time- don't judge the final product when it is being constructed. I would write more, but I am afraid I would lose my restraint on my temper.

Hmm. Ellie, want to be my roommate? --- Ken snoozed idlely in the middle of one of the hallways after a long night of just hanging out. Sheer exhaustion finally forced him to a sleep- a short distance away from the room he had decided on, his roommate remaining unknown for now. Standing, he stretched and let out a slight yawn. It had been a fun night- one that he was glad he could still remember. He walked a short way before running into none other than the super duo, Tori and John! "Hey guys, what are you up to?" He said, greeting them with a wave. "Just touring around the house, getting used to the surrondings." John said. "I see, I see. It's a cool place, heh heh. Plenty of little spots for two people to steal away to." He winked a bit with that and continued, "I passed out in the god forsaken hallway last night and could use a little shower. I'll leave you two to your touring- have fun." With that he grinned and walked away, going to the nearest shower that he had found with his own little exploration the previous day.

In the middle of the night, long before Elda's coming or Kaze's awakening, a gathering was occuring. A rare gathering, one that only occured for the.. special.. people who spoke with the spirits in constant. Being the only such person in the region, Ensis was stuck with the unfortunate task as serving as a solver of all the spirit's problems. They felt such mortals deserved respect for their spirtual abilities, and that they could solve many problems that the spirits themselves couldn't solve. Thus it was that a voice shattered Ensis' dream, destroying it utterly. His mind's eye closed as the scene shifted, a deep sigh resonateing throughout his mind. "Why do I have to deal with this now?" "Ensis." ... "Ensis!" His mind's eye slid open, slowly, steadily- cautiously. A white plane surronded him on all sides, in all directions- there was no sign of a definate end or beginning. Around his house, various spiritual beings from Fenwyr and the surronding area flocked, all to speak to the Shaman. Their varied, wispy forms danced through the solid walls of his house. Kaze was not disturbed, for the spirits could feel his aura and spiritual energy- there was no need for him to know of their presence, to do so would be silly. So it was that Ensis was forced into a large discussion with spirits, in his own dream, in this white locale. He had not the faintest idea as to what was making them so agitated as they spoke, because none of them realized that the news had not reached this far in the mortal realm yet. Finally, Ensis interupted them and explained that he had not yet recieved the news of whatever had caused the sudden spiritual shockwave that plagued him earlier. Suddenly it grew very, very quiet- a silence that can only exist inside your own mind. Stepping foreward, Ensis sternly repeated the question he had asked just moments earlier. "What has taken place that even the spirits of death are here, shaking in fear? Damned, don't even answer. I know you can show me. Show me whatever has happened." One of them looked at him curiously, sizeing him up. The other spirits once again broke into a conversation amongst themselves, debateing if they should or shouldn't expose him to the horrid events that had occured. Finally, one of them stepped foreward and spoke. "It will feel like several hours for you- you have to relive the memories that those that have passed remember, and see what the spirits of Ma'Uriith have shown us." Ensis face turned into an emotionless one, pondering this. Silence once again settled into a comfortable position. Ensis still wanted to know- he needed to know. So finally he spoke, "I don't care, I need to understand what is freaking all of you out before I can even try to give an educated opinon." An elderly spirit, one who had lived ages beyond ages stepped foreward and nodded to all of the other spirits, then back to the young man. "He has a point, unfortuantely. The other diviners, prophets and spiritualists survived- surely a shaman can." Ensis nodded, "Then do it. Let me see what is being shown to the other diviners, spirtualists and clairvoyants." The white plane faded slowly to black, staying in this state for a few moments. Suddenly, he felt he was hovering- idlely over a large city. He recognized it as Ma'Uriith, and noticed how different it looked- different in a bad way. Before he could take in the rest of the city, he suddenly was thrown downwards, into a young woman's body. It felt odd, like he was just an observer in all this, he heard the woman's thoughts and read her emotions. Finally he grew used to just observing.. As time progressed, Ensis was shown the turmoil that occured, the destruction that raged and was killed- at least, it felt like he was. As soon as the death of the young woman occured, he was thrown into another body, then another. It was a process that would take a few hours of time. In his home a dead silence fell as the spirits patiently waited, but that silence was quickly broken. Ensis began murmering and muttering, talking in his sleep. He was paying the consequences, and a strong sense of sorrow flooded the nearby area as the spirits felt his pain and anguish rise steadily with each new discovery as to what had occured. Yes, even as this happened, a messenger arrived at Fenwyr, in the early morning, when it was still dark and delivered the message to the Mayor. The letter was then posted in the most public place they could find..
