That list makes no sense at all. Why is Kurt Cobain on 12, for example?
And Johnny Ramone at 16? I was under the impression his songs were composed of three (or so) chords each. Any amateur guitarist can write a three chord song. As for my top guitarists, there's only one. Jade Puget of AFI is the only guitarist I've ever drawn inspiration from, the only guitarist I've ever listened to and thought "I wish I had come up with this song first!" Sure, he's not technical, and there have only been two or three fast solos in the hundred or so songs he's done, but that's not what I care about in a guitarist. Of all the songs I can play, the vast majority of them were written by Jade, and they are so much fun to do. I also really like what I've heard by Norma Jean's guitarists and As I Lay Dying's guitarists, but I don't even know their names. :X

I don't remember when or who, but one of my friends started calling me Clurr (derived from Claire) sometime in high school. I ended up liking it enough to start using it as an internet name. Now all of my friends call me that at some point or another...a few of them won't call me anything else. I really like it, though.
I have read part of Eclipse and it is not disappointing, however, does anyone know if there is a forth book to this series?
There will be, in August of 2008.

Er, I'm pretty sure "InuYasha's voice actor...some guy named Vic..." was Dragonmanm2 listing the actors he remembered seeing at the convention. I don't think he meant they were the same person. As for the girl being friends with them, you never know. The odds are you won't be seeing her again, so it doesn't matter all that much. :P
Now, I would like some reccommended reading if you can give it. I am looking more towards vampire/fantasy stories along that line. Lycans/shapeshifters too! Let's see, I already read most of the Anita Blake series but stopped when it got too focused on sex. I am in the middle of reading Magic Bites and working on the series that has Interview With a Vampire. So do you guys know of any good vampire novels that I missed?
TWILIGHT. :]]] The first book in that series has vampires, but the next two, New Moon and Eclipse, have vampires AND werewolves. Whee!

AFI; "Of Greetings and Goodbyes" This is one of my favorite songs off Art of Drowning. Mindless Self Indulgence; "Clarissa" Haha. I love several MSI songs, but this one in particular because one of my favorite shows is Sabrina the Teenage Witch, starring Melissa Joan Hart who was Clarissa. My favorite part of the song goes "If you're so smart, explain this Clarissa, POW! Explain this, Clarissa, Clarissa, pow pow pow." It's so much fun. :] AFI; "Kiss and Control" Another of my favorites. I think this one in particular really stuck out the first time I listened to Decemberunderground, and though I've taken the time to fall in love with all the other songs, I still hold this one higher than most of them. (I think Endlessly, She Said is tied with it, though).

I would try to get a part time job, but my mom doesn't think I'm responsible enough. If I can maintain Bs and higher the whole school semester, she'll let me get a job. But I'm afraid I don't have much confidence in myself, xD. (It's not that I'm incapable of doing well...I just don't try hard enough). Anyway, this summer I had to save up to buy a bass guitar, so I went to my grandparents for work. They had my sister and me wash their car, clean its interior, and water their grass. That earned me about $15, so next I went to friends of my grandparents. This time my sister and I planted potted plants and spread mulch: $25 each (I think). Then it was back to the grandparents: I ironed some of their clothes and swiffered their kitchen. I still didn't have enough so I went back to their friends one more time, and my sister and I had to rake all the pine needles and leaves out from a small bamboo forest. That last thing was the hardest. It was difficult to get the debris out from between the trees. The two of us probably got over 30 bites combined from all the mosquitoes we stirred up. Then there was the matter of stuffing the debris into garbages bags and hauling them around the house to where the garbagemen could pick it up. Those bags were really heavy, since we ended up collecting more dirt than debris, and there were about 20 of them. I eventually bought the bass, so I have to say it was all worth it. I think I should've earned a lot more than I did (which probably was a total of $50, I can't remember) but as I only worked 2-4 hours each time I guess it was fair enough (despite the last job causing me to sleep for over 12 hours the next night). Now that school is starting again, my mom (a teacher) gets paid regularly and will be giving me allowance every two weeks again ($32 a month). Oh yeah, sometimes I see people holding signs like "CONDOS starting at $XXXX!" on the side of the road. I think that pays like $10 an hour, but I don't think I could ever take that up. Bleehhh.
I took Benadryl once. Biggest mistake of my life. I had a class in an hour and I sort of sat there with my friend pinching me every five seconds so I wouldn't just slump over in a daze of death and drool. They knock you right out. I promise.
Ohman, tell me about it. I'm prone to getting tons of mosquito bites, so whenever I can't stand the itching anymore I have to take a benadryl. The good part is that I stop itching. The bad part is that I stop EVERYTHING. I wouldn't even have the energy to stand up. Bleh.

Apparently I'm allergic to everything. Okay, not everything. But as I get sick a lot, my mom took me to an allergist who tested me on tons of things; different kinds of trees, animals, dust, pollen. Everything showed up as having an effect on me. Aside from having small symptoms every now and then (sore throat, stuffy nose, coughing) it never really bothers me that much. I've got two cats and a dog and I only ever get itchy eyes from touching them.
So before you kids go and complain about how much work you had...let me remind you that YOU signed up for these classes you smartypantses. :P
It's just my school that had this workload, as far as I know. The high school my mom teaches at only made their upcoming AP Language students read TWO books and do ONE assignment. :[ Last year was kind of stressful for me, though I'm not completely sure why. It's not like I exerted myself that much. Although it was pretty tense to take tests I had no idea what to do on (ahem, algebra >_>)....

I don't remember having a lot of toys. When I was in elementary school there were only two things I wanted: a game boy and either an Nintendo 64 or a Playstation. I was never really interested in Barbies or Bratz or whatever. I do still have a doll that my grandma gave me for my first birthday, though, and though I've gotten over it, I used to be uncomfortable sleeping without her. The thought of giving her away still makes me upset, though, haha. Nowadays all my toys are musical instruments and stuff. I first got an acoustic guitar when I was in the fourth grade, so I guess that counts as a favorite childhood toy.
Game Boy: I'm playing Pokemon Blue, right now as I speak. I've also discovered that there's a glitch that allows you to get Mew. It works too.
I've done that a million times. :D It's not just to get Mew, though, you can get every pokemon that way. I'm not completely sure what's in my Ps2 right now. It's either Soul Calibur 3 or Kingdom Hearts 2, which belongs to my cousin who's visiting for a while. I very rarely play anything on my Ps2 anymore, besides DVDs. I usually just use it when a gamer type friend comes over and is bored. Although I would love it if I could play Bully again. :[ There isn't anything in my Gameboy Color or my GBAdvance, but in the SP that I borrowed from a friend is Pokemon Emerald. Which I borrowed from that same friend. And on the computer I've been playing Runescape a lot lately. I only started again because my cousin plays it a lot and it's a good way for us to keep in touch. I also have the Movies installed on one of my computers, but I haven't played it in a while. Oh yeah, I don't think there's anything in my N64 right now, but if there is it's Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I got a little obsessed with that this summer, but since I'm really not much of a gamer at all I gave it up once I got to the Water Temple. I almost gave up sooner, because the music of the first two temples were really freaking me out.

These are my favorite books ever. That may just be because I love vampires, but this series has sort of a different take on them than I've read before. There's also tons of romance and suspense. :] Another vampire book that I really enjoyed is Peeps by Scott Westerfeld. This time the vampires are created by a parasite, and while the main character has the parasite, he's only a carrier and doesn't feel the adverse effects of it. (Like aversion to sunlight, the need to eat humans, etc.) And while I'm on the subject of vampires, I would say if you didn't like Tolkien, then you probably won't like Anne Rice. I'm just saying this from what I remember of both authors...I liked the Hobbit, and I liked Interview With a Vampire, but everything after those two original books I just couldn't stay interested in. Anne Rice uses a LOT of description and obscure words...not to mention the extreme sexuality of all her characters. It's quite a bit more adult-oriented than Lord of the Rings, but both series bored me. :/ Okay, non-vampire books...um... Well... :[ Drat. I'm having a lot of trouble thinking of some. I guess I could stand to expand my reading interests...(though really anything that isn't about vampires at all kind of bores me a lot. Haha). Oh, I really really liked A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess. It's not exactly sci-fi or fantasy, but it's set in a word ruled by violent teenagers. Once I got used to all the made up slang, it was a lot of fun to read. There are plenty of dictionaries for the fictional "nadsat" speak, though, just in case it's too confusing.
My one question is: what the devil is a dialectic journal? I'll assume it's some inanity or other that some English "professor" cooked up so other teachers could cop out and follow a format. Sadly, most things that go on in the English classroom are inane, so what have we.
Honestly, I don't even know myself. The directions they gave us in this humongous packet aren't completely useful. It says something about picking quotes as I read and try to interpret/analyze it. The entries in the journal are supposed to have 2-3 quotes and the analysis for each needs to be a page long (!!?!?) It doesn't even tell me about how many quotes I need to analyze. >:[

...are the most annoying things anyone could ever think of. This is pretty much my first summer where the assignments will actually mean anything; going into the ninth grade I didn't have one, and the work I had to do before tenth grade ended up not counting because I switched schools very early into the year. Anyway, the kids going into the college level AP Language course have had a very rough summer, and I'm sure most of them are nowhere near finished with the assignments (including myself, which really sucks because school starts again a week from monday. :[[[[) Here's basically what we have to do: Read A Lesson Before Dying by Ernest Gaines AND The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien, keep a "dialectical journal" and write an essay for one of them. Print out a copy of Henry David Thoreau's "Civil Disobedience" essay, write an essay on that, and answer a bunch of questions. Read On Writing by Stephen King, write an essay on it. Read Into the Wild OR Into Thin Air, both by Jon Krakauer, write an essay on it. Right now I've read two and a half books and written one essay. I'd say I'm pretty much screwed, as I can't even begin to think of how to write the one I'm focusing on now (about Into the Wild). And pretty much the only reason for that amount of work is that the teachers in charge of this class want to weed out the kids who don't think they can handle it. I'm sort of expecting to walk into that classroom on the 20th and find about ten kids there. (That's just if I don't explode with frustration before I make it there). So, complain about your own summer assignments, about how much of a waste of time they are (especially since summer break is a time to RECOVER). Or you could praise them for being useful, but if you do I'll beat you up. >:[

All I ever write are short stories, which usually don't take me very long to finish. That might be a good way to start building your ability to concentrate. I have a large pool of characters, and each have their own stories. However, sometimes I'll have an idea for a story and I'll think which character would be the best narrator and whatnot. So far I've written three different short stories like this; Zero, Valentines for Vampires, and Vampire Family Values. There was only one time in my whole life that I managed to write something much much longer than a short story. When I was in the eighth grade I started rewriting an idea that first came to me in fifth grade, which I further fleshed out into a 30 page story in the sixth grade. The eighth grade version still had a very unoriginal concept (a boy discovers he's really a royal elf and goes to his home world to find the "seven swords" in order to defeat the man who usurped his fathers throne, blah blah blah) but somehow I liked the story so much I wrote up to 105 pages before suddenly losing interest. If you do want to write short stories, it would probably be best if you kept it simple and cute.

Man, I'm still not comfortable not putting a rating in the title. :/ I wrote this a while ago, but I thought it was too ridiculous to post. I just reread it and decided nothing is ever too absurd to post! :] Vampire Family Values “Guess what.” Charlotte came into the house, toting a plastic bag. I pretended to be glued to the television screen, and Lucio didn’t answer because he never does. She stepped into the TV room and pulled a box from the bag, then sat down in front of the television. The screen went blank for a second, then began to play a movie. “I rented a DVD,” she said somewhat proudly. “Addams Family.” Lucio laid still on the couch, indifferent to the movie choice. I, of course, had no idea what was so exciting about it, but there are thousands of things I don’t understand. “Where’s Amelia?” Charlotte asked as she scooted Lucio over and sat down. “I don’t know,” I said. “Maybe hunting.” She started the DVD with the remote. “Oh well. I thought we could have a movie night or something.” I watched the screen with slight interest. The characters seemed very familiar to me somehow--the young Wednesday Addams was so similar to Christina, my creator, that I had trouble differentiating between the two. Only a few minutes into the beginning, Charlotte seemed be struck with some kind of sudden realization. “I’m going to have a baby!” she announced, remarkably at the exact same time Morticia did. “Have you seen this before?” Lucio wondered. “RIGHT NOW.” Charlotte grabbed his arm and squeezed it mightily. I laughed, though I was slightly annoyed that she was reading the script along with the actors. Lucio’s eyes widened in pain as she clamped on to his arm even tighter. “What are you doing?” Charlotte fell off the sofa, gasping and hugging her stomach in anguish. “I’m going into labor, moron!” I tilted my head, curious. “For real?” She collapsed to the floor with red tears pooling in her eyes. She opened her mouth to speak again, but all that came out was an agonized groan. Lucio flew to his feet, his face growing increasingly distressed. “What’s really wrong?” he asked, dropping to his knees and laying a hand on her shoulder.” “I don’t think she’s acting, Lucio,” I said. His eyes grew to the size of dinner plates. “That’s impossible! There’s no way.” I scoffed rather indignantly. “Quit playing innocent. I know what you two do every single fucking morning.” He swallowed, beginning to shake. If he were human, he would have been sweating bullets. “But still, it’s impossible! Vampires don’t even do it that way! We can’t have babies!” Charlotte tightened up, grimacing in such a way that it pained me to see her expression. “I don’t care whether it’s possible or not,” she managed. “And this baby doesn’t either!” Lucio tensed, obviously having some kind of internal struggle. “But...” he muttered, defeated. “Come on, kids,” I said, standing up. I swept Charlotte into my arms and headed out the front door. “I know just who to see about this. Follow me.” Christina seemed the appropriate person to come to, being the “queen” of the entire vampire race (as well as an English teacher, but I valued her former title much more in this situation). However, she was just as shocked as Lucio when I explained to her what was happening. “Seriously?” she said, staring with disbelief. “Really and truly?” On the bed, Charlotte nearly took a swing at Christina’s throat in a pregnant rage, but decided she was in too much pain to bother. Lucio was stuck in a state of perpetual shock, repeating “but it’s impossible!” to himself every couple of seconds. “She’s not making it up, Christina,” I offered. She glanced at Charlotte, who was trembling uncontrollably. “Okay,” she sighed. “I’ll see what I can do. You have to understand, though, this truly is completely impossible. I have no idea what’s really going on here.” “I’m having a baby!” Charlotte demanded, her eyes blazing red from both her frustration and bloody tears. Christina threw up her hands, as if to say she believed her. She then closed her eyes and placed her hand on her forehead, most likely telepathically communicating with someone. “Who are you calling?” I asked. “Assistants.” I was slightly taken aback. “But you have me and Lucio!” “‘Lucio and me.’” she corrected, working in teacher-mode regardless of the situation. “And there’s no way I’m letting either of you help in any way.” I heard the front door fly open, and heavy footsteps thudded in. Several vampires I didn’t recognize ran into the room, pulling a gurney they probably lifted from some hospital. They further cushioned it with blankets and towels and helped Charlotte roll on to it. “Is she really pregnant?” one of them asked. I grabbed him by the shoulder and gave him a look that implied it really wasn’t a good idea to question a vampire in labor. Lucio shifted his weight nervously. “Is there anything I can get you? Pillows, bubbles, cupcakes?” “I just want to see you dead.” Charlotte growled as the vampire orderlies carried her into the kitchen, which would serve as the makeshift delivery room. Lucio stared after her, both shocked and noticeably upset. “Don’t worry,” I said, setting my hand on his shoulder. “She doesn’t mean it. All pregnant women are hostile towards the men that gave them that curse.” He collapsed into a chair with a sigh. “Yeah, but that didn’t make any sense--I am dead. This whole ordeal doesn’t make any sense.” Charlotte screamed in agony beyond the locked door. Lucio groaned and doubled over, resting his head on his knees. “I’m going to be sick,” he muttered. I couldn’t help but laugh. “Imagine that: a vampire with sympathy pains.” He seemed to grumble nauseously, but his moans were drowned out by the horrible screams bursting from the kitchen. The front door shot open and Vincent raced in, yanking off his designer sunglasses as soon as he spotted us. His eyes were wide and bamboozled. “Lucio,” he exclaimed, reaching for the queasy vampire’s shoulders. “What in the world is going on?” “Don’t touch me, please,” Lucio said wearily. “I feel like I’m going to explode.” Vincent backed away, looking even more confused. “Wait, which one of you is pregnant? I thought--” “Charlotte is. Lucio is just depressed,” I interjected. Vincent sighed, glanced towards the delivery room, and slowly set himself in a chair. Another pained shout echoed under the door, followed by the sound of pots and pans crashing to the floor. Lucio lifted his head weakly, his expression a mixture of concern and anguish. He then whimpered and shrunk into his chair, curling into a ball. “How did this happen to begin with?” Vincent asked. “Technically, Charlotte should never be able to have children, considering she’s dead. But looking past that, I want to know what hell you two did that created the baby in the first place.” “They had sex,” I said sarcastically. Both Vincent and Lucio glowered at me, but I merely stretched and yawned. “You two need to lighten up. Really, this whole ‘pregnancy phenomenon’ isn’t bothering me that much; except that I’m supposed to be watching Roseanne right now.” Vincent seemed to be appalled. “Didn’t you understand anything I just said?” “So serious,” I smiled. “You, Lucio, Christina.... Must be an Italian thing.” He frowned, but I think he was more upset at being accused of being too somber. Satisfied, I smirked and sank further into my chair. “Hey,” I said when a funny thought popped into my head, “here’s some food for thought: if Lucio is Charlotte’s creator--her ‘father’ by blood--then what does that make him to the baby?” Lucio sniveled in shock, trembling with worry, and Vincent burst into laughter. “That is so wrong, Lucio,” he giggled. The entrance door swung open again, this time with Amelia and Edward dashing through. He remained urgently calm, while Amelia danced anxiously from foot to foot. “Is Charlotte actually in labor right now?” she asked, her voice quivering. The question was answered by another outburst from the kitchen: “I’m going to slaughter Lucio!” Everyone stared at the door, surprised into silence. Edward wrung his hands nervously. “Who is helping with the delivery?” he asked. “Christina, of course,” I said and rolled my eyes. “She refused to let Lucio and me help. If you ask me, she has a pretty big god-complex.” Edward almost glared at me. “I wasn’t asking you.” I merely shrugged, pleased at having annoyed two people tonight. We sat quietly for a while, and I couldn’t help but fidget restlessly. Lucio remained balled up, shivering; probably asleep, as he wasn’t breathing. Edward was engrossed in a book while Vincent flipped through an issue of Vogue, and Amelia drifted off to sleep with music in her ears. Even Charlotte had calmed down, only snarling angrily every now and then. I began to doze off as well when the screaming started up again, stirring everyone out of their stupor. This time Charlotte sounded as if she was being tortured to death in the most gruesome way possible. “Oh god,” Lucio whined. “I think we need an exorcist.” “Cool,” I said, stretching again. “So, did Christina rip open her stomach and pull the kid out, or what?” All eyes in the room were suddenly fixed on me, bewildered. I became as confused as they were. “What?” “Is that how you think babies are born?” Amelia asked, suppressing an irritating smile. I sat up and placed my hands on my hips. “Okay, Miss Smart, how are babies born then?” They all snickered; even Edward, who was still enthralled by his book. “Well,” Amelia said reluctantly. “First of all, babies don’t live in peoples’ stomachs. And the only reason doctors actually cut a baby out is that it was facing the wrong way and can’t come out normally.” “So what’s the normal way, hm?” I insisted, knowing I had her backed into a corner. She sighed and waved her hands over her lap. “It...you know...they have to push...Edward, help me.” “So you don’t know either, do you?” I grinned. “Yes, but...it’s just hard to say. Babies have to come out...you know...!” She continued waving her hands. Suddenly it clicked, and I felt ill. “You mean....” Amelia shrunk back in her seat, blushing. “Oh my GOD.” I brought my knees up to my chin and hugged my legs tightly, wishing she had never told me the truth. The kitchen door unlocked, and Christina peeked through. “Okay everyone, it’s over.” I quickly switched my uneasiness with excitement and leapt to my feet. The others did the same, though Lucio remained as still as a statue. “Are you coming?” Vincent asked him. He stared straight ahead, his eyes as blank and hopeless as if he had just lost everything in some kind of shipwreck. “I think I need a moment.” “Nonsense!” Vincent persisted and pulled Lucio to his feet. “Charlotte needs you now, no doubt.” We squeezed through the doorway all at once. Vincent pushed Lucio ahead of the mob, despite his complaints. Charlotte was sitting up on the gurney, grinning malevolently. “Hi.” “Where’s the baby?” Lucio asked, looking around dismally. “What baby?” Everyone, excluding Lucio and myself, began suppressing laughter. “The baby you just went through hell to get,” he said. “Oh, that baby!” she remembered. “I ate it.” I gasped so fast I started to choke. Lucio’s jaw might as well have landed on the floor. “WHAT,” we screeched in unison. “Well, he was with me, and now he’s not. Because I ate him.” Lucio’s immense incredulity turned into outrage. “You’re not a fucking insect!” “Quiet, or I’ll eat you too!” Charlotte cackled. Now everyone who was chuckling couldn’t help but guffaw loudly. I didn’t get the joke. “What the hell!” I shouted. “How could you eat something you had to freaking push out of--” “There is no baby!” Charlotte said, laughing so hard she nearly fell off the gurney. “It was a joke.” I could feel the relief flow through Lucio, but I was still a little perplexed. “No baby?” he said, breathing heavily. Charlotte shook her head no. “Just a joke. No baby. Okay. Cool.” And then he was out cold on the floor. “Now, there’s something you don’t see everyday,” Edward remarked. “Who knew vampires could faint?” I laughed for a second, but then turned to Charlotte with a look of genuine hurt on my face. “So, it was all an act, and all of you were in on it? Why didn’t you tell me?!” She shrugged nonchalantly. “I can’t trust you!” My shoulders drooped in disappointment. I can’t be trusted to help delivery a baby or help pull a prank on someone? Why does everyone think so little of-- “Hey!” I shouted, struck by a revelation, “My favorite episode of the Cosby Show is coming on tonight. Can we go home now?” Lucio came out of his coma later the next night. “You guys,” he said, “I just had the strangest dream.” “Really? That’s odd,” Charlotte commented. “You were pregnant!” he said. I could almost hear the “dot dot dot” before she spoke. “You thought that was a dream?” “And what a weird dream it was!” he grinned. “You know, it’s so great you and I can spend all the time we want in bed and never have to worry about those poor human consequences. Come on, dear, I’m...hungry.” Devilish grin. He floated off the couch and down the hall into his bedroom. Charlotte cried out and buried her head in the arm of her chair. “The whole point of that joke was to make him less interested in that damn bed!” she groaned. “Maybe you should just hit him over the head with it a couple of times,” I suggested with a giggle. “You know,” she said, sitting upright. “That’s actually a good idea. Way better than that whole stupid baby ordeal.” She stood up and sped down the hallway, laughing maniacally. I grinned, finally feeling needed. You know, my family is nice, but they really need to take me a lot more seriously-- “Hey!” I yelled, turning on the TV. “This is the episode where Cliff dreams all the guys get pregnant! Some people just get the craziest ideas...”

OH. MY. GOD. I have so many different reasons to be depressed right now. :[ My mom took me to the mall the day after Eclipse's release, and I managed to get it for only $13, which surprised me. I was afraid I would finish the book not too long after I first opened it, but I think I was subconsciously forcing myself to savor it. Anyway, I power-read today and just finished it. I had high hopes that
Bella would finally be changed in this one, leaving the fourth book for a story about her new life. I really expected this to happen, too, given the name of the book and the cover art. ESPECIALLY THE COVER ART. >:[
I don't think I've ever been so heavily affected by suspense, though, not even in movies and whatnot. From the moment
Edward freaked out and flew Bella out of their clearing to protect her from Victoria,
I could feel my heart beating. Haha, I think my eyes were wide with concern through that entire scene. Sometime else that caught me off guard was
the one human experience Bella didn't want to miss. I realized what it was before she tried to get Edward to do it, and for whatever reason I read those pages lightning fast.
It was pretty amusing. :] I was horrified when
Bella realized she was in love with Jacob. I was certain she wouldn't leave Edward, but I just couldn't get over her feelings.
I think I'm fine now, but maaaaan. I panicked. Okay, now that I've knocked out the most interesting book of the year (for me, I'm pretty sure), I don't really have much keeping me from writing again. When I finished Twilight, all my own vampire characters were born. I don't want to jinx it, but I'm pretty sure you all can expect a new story from me sometime soon. >:]]] And I realized something sort of funny while reading today. One of my own characters is named Edward Black. I admit, I did get his first name from the Twilight books, but I never noticed that he shared his last name with Bella's lesser love interest. I swear, that was completely unintentional. :/
-Soul Caliber 4. I never liked 3 that much, but 2 still has a special place in my heart. I just have high hopes for it.
>:] I was excited beyond measure for Soul Calibur 3. I don't think I've ever gotten so worked up over a game before. I got really upset when I called a bunch of stores the day shipped and found out they didn't have it yet, and I remember that the day I did get it seemed entirely too long. (And then my disk was faulty, too, what are the odds?) Anyway, I should do some research on the fourth one, cos' this is the first I've heard of it. I'm not really a gamer. :/ Other than that, I only remember being extremely excited for the online version of .hack, Fragment, which I heard was coming out in December of 2005 but still hasn't made it to America. If it ever does I'll be sure to get it, because the .hack series is pretty much my most favorite thing that came from Japan. EDIT: Apparently SC4 is only going to be for PS3 and the Xbox something or other. Sucks for me, since I really don't plan on upgrading. There aren't nearly enough games for the PS3 I'm interested in: with the addition of Soul Calibur, that makes...one. >:[

I've spent more money this year than ever before. I bet food has cost me over $50, at least over a period of five or so months. Other than that, I spent a few days this summer working for my grandma and one of her friends earning money to buy a bass guitar. The purchase itself wasn't so outrageous, nor was the work I did, but it was pretty astounding for me to willingly go out in the sunlight, dig holes full of worms to put plants in, and get bitten thousands of times by mosquitoes just for the sake of my band.

For me, it definitely depends on the situation. I'll use any method of communication available, but I like talking face to face the best. At least when the situation is casual and friendly. When there's tension afoot, or if I need to console someone, I can't keep myself together in person. I'm not too great at it online, either, but at least there I can say SOMETHING. Of course, if there's some kind of confrontation going on, I can't even deal with it online. That's just because it scares me to death, though.
Just finished Eclipse! Amazon has a decent plot teaser, MadHatter. I'd rather not post it myself, since it spoils New Moon... First of all, my absolute favorite part of the novel was the way it broadened the series' world. The history lessons were fascinating, and I loved learning about
Rosalie and Jasper's pasts, the "third wife," and Sam, Emily and Leah.
Now, here's the thing. In most cases, I adore
a good love triangle.
But.
This was a pretty painful book to read, especially as you get toward the end (when Meyer once again shows off her talent for bringing things to an nail-biting and twisty close, practically Harry Potter-style). I thought New Moon had run me ragged emotionally, and I'm the most surprised of all to admit that Eclipse tops it in every aspect.
Did I like the fact that
Bella cared about Jacob in that way?
No. But did it ring 100% for the character? Yes.
And of course, she didn't like it any more than I did.
Agonizing. Jesus H. Christ, does it suck to be
Edward. And Bella. And Jacob.
The epilogue killed me, not in the least because it's kind of a cliffhanger. I'll be back to post more when I've recovered... ~Dagger~
AAAH. I'm so tempted to look under the spoiler tags but I think it might ruin my life. I've got my hand covering you're entire post as a type, haha. So, I was super excited about going to get Eclipse today but my mom is being difficult. :[[[ I've seriously been looking forward to this for almost a year! I can't wait any more! One of the reasons why I like this series so much is that the other obvious choice of books, Anne Rice, bores me to death. I read Interview with the Vampire and enjoyed it, but I pretty much had to trudge through all the heavy description and whatnot. I couldn't even get through the Vampire Lestat. Anyway, I just might have to go on a rampage if I don't get my hands on Eclipse soon.
...You guys just made fun of a poor guy who can only do one bass pattern for the rest of your life. He will become a hobo in the streets of Hermitage, Arkansas, and wonder around my house naked forever. Thanks Alot. Jackasses, you lot.
That sounds really familiar, Hunter. :P Anyway, I can't really see this expanding beyond "they're the same!" and "no they're not," so I'll help. From now on feel free to talk about the rest of the band (or the ex-drummer, if you're still interested).
