man, that was funny... I didnt get to see it yesterday cos I was on a frustraingly slow computer in this PC lab so it took 30 mins to get to '25% downloaded' so I gave up on the grounds that the computer would probably play the clip real slow.

I have no problem with your pledge, though I have no idea what it is (UK citizen, after all), and I have no problem with patriotic people, after all, it's your decision whether to stand by your country or not. But personally, I am not very patriotic. I don't like to think that my country is any better than any other country.. and don't argue back at that one comment, cos I know that that's not what you consider patriotism to be all about... but I do.. and I'm not saying that I am right. no one can say that in such an opinion based topic. but that's what I believe, my reasons are my own.

It's stupid. I prefer to think of the bad churches as extremist churches that seek to control. At the end of the day.. control is what religion USED to be about (see, I said USED TO BE, tbut things have changed since, well, 500 odd years ago)

In my school days... we never had food fights... all that happened there was every so often someone would drop a plate full o food by mistsake and everyone would cheer..... I could never understand why they did that....

I don't think that was wrong at all. Obviously that guy was a stuck up idiot who believes that he is perfect. Getting fired for stuff like that is the only way he'll ever learn.. Well done ;) .

But I do know I will NOT be a teacher *Shudders*.Anyone have a good idea of a science job?[/B][/QUOTE] yeah you could follow my 'preferred plan of action', though it will take a while - 1) 4 years in uni towards an MSci in Physics + Biochem (3 1/2 years to go!) 2) 3 more years in uni working towards a PhD in Physics OR Biochem (and u get paid for it too :D ) 3) Post Doctorate post in Physics or Biochem (fairly low pay :( ) 4) Lots of research (fairly high pay :) ) 5) Whatever the hell I feel like after all that :cool: side tasks - discover cure for some deadly disease OR break new ground in elementary particle physics :D I got it all planned out....

Damn computers at uni.... the sound cards have been removed... presumably cos people used 'em too much... so I didnt hear any sound... therefore i didnt find it incredibly funny....

The midi notes were on the audio track, and though you could play the midi, you couldn't do anything else with it. Short answer- you can get em out, you can play em, but you cant do nothin' else.

It's a chemical solvent, it's used in various experiments where a substance has to be dissolved. It also knocks you out if you inhale too much. Well, the cops have never been called on me, but there was a time... In July last year, me and my friends had a leaving college party (That's UK college, btw, so I was 18 at the time) at my friend's house. We had a lot planned for that party. There was a car parked outside my friend's house which hadn't moved for years. We were gonna tip it over. There were other plans, but my memory fails me in remembering such things. Anyway... heres what [i]actually[/i] happened. The car never got toppled. Whilst standing outside my friends house, the 'idiot' of the group decided to start a fight with a group of lads, then proceeded to run inside the house. My friends fence was ripped down, his door was broken, and lets just say we were lucky they didnt try to come in thru the windows. The police were called round. Not because of us, but [i]for[/i] us. Other than this, the party was an absolute success. I found some consolation in the fact that, as I was upstairs while all of this happened (I'm going on what my friends said, cos I never realised anything [i]had[/i] happened til I went downstairs), my friends were waiting for me downstairs to 'sort them out'.. (Although I have never got into a fight in my entire life, my friends believed that I could probably beat most people)
