I just LOVE Tasuki to death (he's from Fushigi Yuugi). and Chichiri. and Hotohori. and Tomo. but I'm gonna get off of FY, cuz I could name at least 5 other guys off of their ^_^'. then from Evangelion, Toji would have to be my favorite supporting character. I'd say he was a supporting character considering he got the backseat in most of the episodes he was in other than when
he piloted that EVA and was almost killed
. I also really like Miroku. he acts like a down-to-earth, cool kind of guy, except when he's puttin' the moves on Kagome and Sango. then there's Asaba, for obvious reasons :toothy:. Grem from Cowboy Bebop was really awesome, too. I think he's probably the only person that Faye would ever be able to trust, if they had gotten to know each other better. anywho, those are the ones I could think of at the top of my head.

Anime Worst anime vocal song you've heard?
amibasuki replied to Utena_Tenjou's topic in Otaku Central
yeah, I like how they did the opener for Kenshin in English; it sounds so cute ^_^. but the song that Rem sings in Trigun and the song Melfina sings in Outlaw Star in English sucks really badly. especially the Rem one. it sounded so pretty sung in Japanese, and they had to go muck it up. -

I don't believe in soulmates, and the belief that you'll be incomplete without this person all your life if you don't meet him/her. I do believe that people who knew each other in the Pre-existance will get a chance to meet during their lives and have a chance to do what they will concerning relationships though. something like destiny, I guess. so I guess they could be considered soulmates in the sense that they are destined to meet because they loved each other before they came to Earth. but that doesn't necessarily mean they were made for each other. they could still find other perfectly nice people and be just as happy with them. that's my personal belief, anyway, as vague as I worded it. tried not to draw it out too much ^_^'.

ianthestampede basically said what I was going to. you're only a kid if you act like one. Dexter's Lab actually caters more towards older people moreso than for little children anyway; although I'm a little biased about it, since it's one of my favorite tv shows ^_^.

exactly. most American cartoons don't have plots, so they just keep coming up with pointless scenarios until they're out of ideas or just end up reusing them. by then, just about nobody wants to watch it anymore. in anime, once everything's happened in the story, they leave it alone, except for maybe making a couple of side stories later on that are only a couple of episodes long anyway (DBZ and a couple of others being the exceptions). if anything, a tv series not going on long enough is the bigger problem. I like anime for the artwo*:blowingup*. yeah yeah, you get the gist. even if I get bored with the story, I could watch it/read it for the sake of the artwork if it's really pretty or eyepopping. I think the main reason why I prefer anime above most western animation is because of the fact that a good lot of the people making them at least attempt to keep a decent story/plot. they still take what they're doing seriously even if it is animated, as if it really were something out of a live action flick. and by golly, if they want to make it serious and have somebody die, they'll do it! don't know if all that was the best way to explain it, but hopefully you got the overall message. if there weren't any people here who knew me offline, I'd post the address; but since there's about four regulars on here who do, I'd best not. there's some stuff written in there that I don't really want anyone I know reading, just cuz. as for the title of it, it doesn't really have one. there's a quote at the top of the page from Les Miserables that goes "To love another person is to see the face of God". so I guess that could be the title. I got a blog originally so it could be a spat spot to write about some stuff that was really upsetting me at the time, and so I could get it all out there and leave it there. after the situation was resolved (somewhat), I just kept writing in it, and now I write just about everything in there. and I just LOVE the layout! *big thanks to amiboshi for the help*. the two main series that come to mind for good music are Macross and Cowboy Bebop, although I also like stuff from Fushigi Yuugi, Trigun, and Kenshin. then there's the couple of songs here and there I've heard from various series (like the ending songs from Outlaw Star, plus Love Hina, Ranma, etc. blah blah blah). mmmmmm.....favorite food. it'd either have to be cheesecake, cookies, ice cream or....chips and salsa ^_^. I'm gonna have to go with ice cream. I've got the biggest sweet tooth known to man, and ice cream hits it every time...well, except in the case of chocolate. I don't like chocolate much anymore for some reason. my most hated food would be my mom's vegetable beef soup, or anything that's soggy when it shouldn't be. you know, stuff like cereal that's sat in milk for too long, or bread with far too much mayonnaise/mustard/etc. on it. ergh, gagging at the thought of it.

hmmmm....there have been two teachers that I couldn't stand this year. there's Mrs. Carrick (the Carrot) and Mrs. Peevy (the Pear). the Carrot teaches textiles and fashions (aka 'the sewing class'), and the Pear teaches biology. I didn't like the Carrot because she was one of those old snooty teachers that has a stick up her butt all the time, and the Pear because despite how smart she tells everybody she is, she can't teach to save her life, and she kept losing my work. I was lucky to just pass that class (........at least, I think I did; need to get my report card soon ^_^'). funny thing is both of them liked me. heh, go figure.

....I don't think Spike and Julia were ever married. even so, I still don't like the idea of the Spike and Faye pairing, partially because I'm a Spike and Julia fan :p. but putting my opinion aside, Faye and Spike together wouldn't work that great anyway. here's how I picture it: between Faye's being high maintenance, dependent, and self-centered, and Spike's need for independence and not liking the idea of doing whims at the command of others, they'd kill each other. Anime Yaoi/shonen-ai: what's the attraction?
amibasuki replied to Utena_Tenjou's topic in Otaku Central
yep, the two threads have merged, since both threads were about the same thing anyway. that's why it all looks messed up. I dunno how that double-posting thing happened. maybe you came back to the thread so many minutes after posting and posted again thinking it was still in a different thread trying to figure out what the heck was going on *shrug*. man that sounded complicated. oh well, no clue. but since you can still delete one of 'em, I would think it wouldn't be a big deal. -
I'm normally more reserved offline. except when I'm around close friends/family and such. online, I usually type whatever comes into my mind. so I end up sounding like a blundering idiot half the time, whereas offline I sound like one all the time. not quite sure how that works, but ooooooookay! *thumbs up*

Anime Yaoi/shonen-ai: what's the attraction?
amibasuki replied to Utena_Tenjou's topic in Otaku Central
Originally posted by Braidless Baka Heh, really? I've lived through the squeeing before now with a certain someone(s) if she/they read this thread they know who they are... ^____^ It went something like this: "NOOOO!!! YUUUUUUKKIIIII!!! That stupid [insert swearing referring to the female in question here]!!! MIIINE!!! MYYY YUUUUUKI!!! NOT YOURS!! MINE!!! *begins clawing at the screen in an attempt to break right through it to rescue her beloved*" Heh... yeah... O_o *laughs* I'm sure I can rest my case now your honour ^_^;;
:rotflmao: haha, we'll see about that  for me it's the opposite. if I were to see a male character I absolutely adore, and I found out he was in love with another man, I'd be clawing at the screen going "NOOOOO!!!! go STRAIGHT!!" I mean, I've seriously got nothin' against people who are gay, but if all the awesome guys go to other guys, what are us girls gonna get? I'd rather see him paired off with a girl, ya know? won't make me jealous or anything. as an example, I can't stand it when people insist that Tasuki and Chichiri like each other (they don't!). but if they really did, I'd be scratching at the screen screaming. I don't like the idea of my two favorite characters paired together, probably because I'm a Tasuki+Miaka fan (don't ask), and I'd want Chichiri paired with a girl. as a minor note, keep in mind that's a preferance of mine. I'm NOT homophobic! then, again, there are the certain pairings I just happen to really like a lot. Kurama and Hiei together is an example (I know they're not actually like that, I'm saying I like the idea of the pairing). don't ask why, I probably wouldn't be able to reasonably explain it. aaaaand I think this is certainly long enough, so I'll leave this at that before I confuse myself even more than I already have, if that's possible 0_o. -

Anime Yaoi/shonen-ai: what's the attraction?
amibasuki replied to Utena_Tenjou's topic in Otaku Central
well, I've never seen an anime or read a manga that was shounen-ai, so I don't know if it would freak me out. but I'm pretty okay with the concept of it, since I'll occasionally read some fanfiction where that sort of thing is going on. as long as it doesn't get really graphic I don't mind it, but that goes for any sort of romance thing anyway. it would also depend on the pairing, though. some work really well, but some should NEVER be put together. at all :drunk:. -
yes, I much prefer Hybrid Theory to Meteora also. then again, I haven't heard quite all of the Meteora CD, but from what I have heard I like Hybrid Theory more. man, I used to love that CD. then it got stolen >.
Originally posted by vegeta rocker *glares at those who ignored previous afi thread*
*looks around innocently* meh, your thread was centered on that anime chick off of the Girls Not Grey music video. I haven't seen it yet :p. it made more sense to wait for this one to come back up before posting anything.

ah, ice cream. my most FAVORITE dessert in the world! my favorite flavors would have to be moose tracks, reese cups, cookie dough, and just plain vanilla ^_^. Dairy Queen has good ice cream, but the prices are jacked. we go there anyway, since a new food place in our town is almost a big a deal as Christmas. and if this isn't a coincidence, but my mom had the worst cravings for vanilla ice cream with bananas when she was pregnant with me. guess the craving was passed on to me ^_^.

man, the dubbing for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was horrible. I don't think I've ever seen a kung-fu movie that was ever dubbed decently. nothin' wrong with watchin' subtitles.

I bought the CD for about 10 dollars at Media Play a couple of weeks ago, and I have to say I really like it. it took me a while to get used to the singer's voice, but once I did, I enjoyed it a lot more. my favorite song is definitely Death of Seasons. once I get some money this summer, I plan on buying one or two of their previous albums, since y'all (yes, y'all :p) are saying that they're supposed to be even better than they were on this one.

I moved from Utah to Georgia when I was almost six. heh, at the time I thought that Georgia was a different country. silly five-year old. I didn't mind moving that much, considering I assumed I'd be able to go back later anyway. since then, we haven't moved from this spot. if for some reason we did have to move though, it would be horrible. I'd have a really hard time leaving everybody. looks like we're still gonna be here for a while though, so I'm glad ^_^.

I guess I'm the musical one in the family. most of all my siblings play some sort of instrument, I've just stuck with mine the longest. plus, there's more occasion for me to peform/use it, so....yeah! I'm probably also the craziest (Samantha can vouch for me), despite the fact that one of the only times you'll see me act crazy is at home; but when I do......
