1. we just came back to the house and hung out, like watch movies and stuff; not much to do at 12am. everybody was supposed to spend the night so they wouldn't have to try to drive home with all the drunks on the road, but my dad flipped out when he heard that the guys were gonna be spending the night too, so they had to leave. they might as well have spent the night though, since they left at around 4 or 5 in the morning. it was still pretty cool nonetheless.
2. I saw a trailer for it just yesterday. I got the impression it was some zombie horror film, since a group who reviewed it said something to that extent, but I don't know. looks like a pretty neato movie, though I won't be able to see it.
3. yes, the mouths are what bother me! or at least that's one part of how they look that bothers me. especially on that one girl, she's always got that pouty look on her face; reminds me of a cat for some reason. it irks me :twitch:.
4. well, here's the choices you've got: you could wait for him to tell you, at the expense that you might be waiting for another month (or two), if he ever gets the courage to tell you in the first place 0_o; or you could tell him yourself in the next couple of days and have it all out and done with, at the expense that you'd be the one to get the butterflies and be the one who makes an idiot out of yourself ^_^. okay, I was joking about the idiot part. chances are, he might be glad that you said something to him first. so which do you dread more, a few moments of butterflies, or a few months of waiting....and waiting....and waiting....and waiting....
5.
Originally posted by GreenEyedDragon i couldn't have a friend ask, it always bugs me for some reason...i guess i'm critical in some ways...hmm
nooooo, having friends ask isn't a good thing, especially if he's shy. if anyone's gonna tell him, it should come straight from you; it'd mean a lot more. getting friends to tell is the wuss' way out anyway :p :toothy:.
6.
Originally posted by Lalaith Ril I'm in no way trying to be rude, I think that have people ask questions is the only way you truly find stuff out. Why do you think its proper for the guy to ask the girl out. I mean I could get in this huge debate about it, but thats not the subject and I don't feel like it now anyways lol. But I mean what does it matter? If the feelings are mutual why should you care about having to ask him out? Why should you care anyways? I don't understand. This may be because I am a guy, but oh wells I'm honestly curiouse. And don't just say becuase thats the way it is, because that isn't a good reason. If that was the reason to everything Earth would've already gone to **** worse than it already has ;).
it's just a rule some people have been brought up to go by. like, I go by the rule that my mom enforced that I don't call guys...to an extent, anyways. at first she said no calling guys at all period, but yes, that is kind of stupid, so I got her to be more lenient with it. now if I call a guy, it's because either a.) I have to ask him about something like homework, or a specific time for something, or whatever, or b.) I'm returning a call. also, sometimes it's thought that if a girl calls a guy because she's 'interested', then she comes off looking desperate. I don't agree with it completely, because I know some decent girls who call guys they like and aren't anywhere near desperate, but I can see why some people would think that. for example, say some girl likes this guy, and she's been flirting with him at work/school/wherever. chances are if the guy isn't a dipstick, he might've already thought 'ok, this chick might like me', and if he's interested in talking to her more, he'd call her up. well, if he still hasn't called (even though she did give him her number), she might figure 'I'd better call him up just in case he forgot about me.' now if she wasn't desperate, she'd probably just say 'oh well, there's other guys than just him,' and just look for someone else. or something like that. anyways, that's just an example. not saying every situation is like that, lol. that's just my take on the whole phone thing. even if my mom didn't enforce that rule now for some reason, I still wouldn't call guys (except for reasons stated above). it's just a quirk I have, I don't go by it for the sake of being stuck-up. I'm not condemning any girl who calls guys up lol, I just don't do it myself is all. it can sort of be related to the whole girls-asking-guys-out thing I guess; except really, if you want to go out with somebody, you can't just assume that he'll pick up on the fact that you like him because he's psychic :drunk:. at least drop some (conspicuous) hints, if he hasn't picked up on it yet. he won't know unless you clue him in, or yeah, tell him. as to why a lot of people think the guy is supposed to take the initiative, I don't really know. I'm guessing it's got to do with the old thought that men are supposed to be more aggressive, while women are supposed to be more demure. so back in the day, it really would've been desperate for a girl to call a guy. but since times have changed quite a bit since then, it's not that big of an issue now. some people still do think that way though, so you could either forget about 'em or just humor them.
7. well, I think you should at least hint to him that you like him, if you don't want to outright tell him. maybe he's so nervous about it because he doesn't know what you would say; but if you give him a heads up that you do in fact like him (assuming he picks up on it), then it could give him the courage to tell you. if all else fails, just straight up tell him. if he does like you, then you've got nothin' to worry about.
8. downloading stuff is my favorite thing about the internet *is shunned*. that and being able to find just about any information about anything I would want to know. if I didn't have the internet as a resource, I wouldn't be into half the things I'm interested in, since I never would've heard/learned about it otherwise.
9. sometimes my leg will twitch when I'm sleeping, usually when I'm sleeping on the couch, for no apparent reason. it gets a little irritating when I constantly keep waking up from it. the only time I've twitched from nervousness was when I went to an audition for a play at school. I was so busy concentrating on how my voice sounded, that I didn't notice that the hand that was holding the script kept jerking really badly. I finally noticed it about halfway through the audition and made it quit. heh, a couple of people had noticed it as well and commented on it, which made me feel like a doof :cross:.
10. I check the General Lounge, Music/TV, Anime, and YuYu Hakusho forums mostly. I come on here mostly everyday, though some days I won't post anything, while some days I'll post around 6 or 7. depends on what threads are floating around.
11. BBMak was holding a charity concert for a kids hospital back when I was in 7th grade, so I went to that. only concert I've been to so far >.>'. although, they had a good couple of jars of guitar picks that they threw out, and I managed to get one. then after the show, we (Anna and I) got to shake their hands. it was pretty cool. Ste is really tall 0.o'
12. oh man, back in the day when I first joined (May '01), I acted like such a dumb, sugared peppy n00bie. if I were to talk to myself how I was two years ago, I wouldn't be able to stand me. I've calmed down for the most part since then, and I'm a tad bit smarter, thank God, so I'm at least a bit more tolerable now.
13. I'm zoned out whenever I don't get at least 5 hours of sleep. I wake up zoned out every day anyway, so it doesn't help much. seriously, I've done stuff like thrown knives in the garbage after buttering toast, put peanut butter in the fridge and put the milk jugs in the cabinet. then I realize after ten seconds ".....something isn't right...". by that time I've usually got my head on straight and put everything back where it's supposed to go. it kinda weirds me out sometimes. 0.o'
14.
Originally posted by Braidless Baka The "Perfect Villain" is a guy (or girl - gender's irrelavent) who knows exactly what they're doing... and is horrendously evil about it...
you took the words straight out of my mouth. the only way they could be truly evil is if they knew what they were doing and did it anyway. Deathbug said a bit of what came to mind mind as well. the perfect villain in my mind has to have a sound mind, who is smart, cunning, calculating. someone who is somewhat like a psychologist who knows how people think, and uses that information to manipulate people into doing what he wants, if he chooses not to make them do it by force. he would also be incredibly strong and capable of killing/torturing people on his own, without the use of other people or mechanisms. he wouldn't be dependent on other people for anything, so he could be just as dangerous on his own as with a whole army of people working for him. basically, he would have no weaknesses. the only person who would be able to beat him would be someone who was better than him in both cunning and strength. .......hmmm, I think that should about do it.
15. I think it was like a younger brother/older sister-type thing, or yeah, the mother/child deal. Rem took a liking to him because he was such a nice little kid. I think she showed more interest in Vash than in Knives because Vash had such a pure heart, and she could see that, and she wanted to keep it that way by teaching him all she could. and when Vash told Rem he loved her, I think he was too innocent/naive to have meant it in a romantic sort of way. kinda like a child telling his mother that he loves her. and Rem probably wasn't expecting it, so of course she'd blush ^_^. she was probably very happy that he did love her. it's true that she might have liked him more than Knives also because he looked somewhat like her former lover, but that could be the same thing as when a mother has a son and notices how he looks so much like the father. the similarities between the two wouldn't necessarily make the mother 'love' the child more, would it? that'd be kinda twisted 0_o'. as for Vash crying the way he did when Rem died, anybody would cry like that if they actually saw someone they loved get killed. I think that about wraps up all I can think of.
16. the character designs get on my nerves so badly. it makes me want to wring the artists' necks. other than that, it's alright, I guess. it's certainly not the best thing they've got on Adult Swim, but it's okay for the moment. I still want Lupin back though. as a second thought, shouldn't this be part of the Cartoon Network thread, or is it just me? 0.o'
17. oh yeah, I forgot all about Sonic! well, in that case, the first anime I ever watched was Sonic when I was about 7, then Sailor Moon a couple of years later. didn't know that Sonic was an anime at the time, but all the same I loved it ^_^.
18. the last school trip I went on was to see a group of performers act out Hamlet, which was alright. that happened sometime into the first couple of months of school. but the really awesome trips were with the marching band. we went to DisneyWorld and Universal Studios in April over spring break, and crap was it fun! I think we might be going to DisneyWorld again my junior year, unless the location changes. our band director said he was thinking about having us go to DC, but pretty much everybody was against it. amusement parks are more, hey, amusing! but we'll see.
19. the first anime I saw was Sailor Moon, too; didn't convince me though. I couldn't watch it for the life of me. didn't touch anime for a good long while after that. DBZ was what got me hooked.
20.
Originally posted by Kaola Su Asabu who, on which anime? I know of an Asaba in one of my fav. anime's but he is more like a main character, that's why I am asking.
Asaba from Kare Kano. I've seen one volume and a couple of clips of the series, so I wasn't sure if he was a minor character or not, but I figured I'd go ahead and put him down anyway ^_^.

Charmed
Originally posted by DevilzAdvocate well im gonna disagree with all of ya's cos i think charmed is just another stupid show with magic in it all they do is wave there hands and perform magic spellz atleast sabrina was a little original and funny
agreed. I've tried getting into Charmed before, and even then I still didn't like it. I dunno, the three witches just grate my nerves for some reason. maybe it's the acting.
22. can't think of any in particular that I've made, buuuuuuuut on the subject of Transtic Nerve and typos, I remember this one time waaaay back when, some board member called him Testic Nerve. don't know why I remember it, but I remember I laughed really hard when I read it. don't think he thought it was too funny at the time though, heh.
23. ugh, cell phones are a bother. one night we were putting on a play for our school, and a cell phone went off right in the middle of the performance. glory, was it LOUD. guess who's it was? my mother's. :bash:
24. I can sleep anytime, anywhere, any circumstance. not necessarily a good thing, but at least I can sleep whenever I get the chance. I get about 5 hours of sleep a night, and then come home from school/wherever and sleep for another 3 or 4, sometimes more, depending on how tired I am. I probably sleep more on the couch than in my own bed, considering sometimes I assume I'm just gonna take a short nap during the late afternoon, and end up waking up at 3 in the morning 0_o'. used to sleep in school, but I can't do that anymore *mutters about the Pear, in her warm classroom with the soft lights and her quiet voice and.....her big yardstick >.
25. turning 18's not gonna be too big a deal, since I'll still be in high school living with my parents, so I won't have a say-so in what I can and can't do anyway ('You live in my house, you go by my rules!'). although I guess having the legal right to stay out as late as you want is alright :cross:. then there's voting. the thing I'm looking forward to is graduating highschool.
