Who is your Daddy, and What Does He Do?

My dad's name is Turner, and he is the "Food Service Manager" at Sacred Heart School, my old elementary/middle school. Basically, he orders the food for the kids' breakfast and lunch, and then he cooks and distributes it. Not only does he have to order the food though, he has to buy the plates, napkins and utensils as well. He maintains a kitchen staff of two other people and serves about 400 kids every day.

My mom's name is Joann and she is a Certified Nurse Midwife. I actually don't know too much about the details of her job, as it involves some things I may not want to know too much about. I know that she takes care of pregnant women, though, and that she delivers babies on a regular basis.

So, what do your parents do? Do you plan on following in their footsteps? If not, what do you want to do?

My dad's been a Civil Engineer for years, and now he's even going in entrepeneur stuff, which, judging by his generousity, is doing really well. Haha, I've never seen him this relaxed about his work before. It's a good thing to see when you've completed a safe, comfortable future. So, in terms of having a guaranteed future, I would love to follow my father, but things aren't so solid for me right now...

My mom's a housewife that is actually more liberal with religion than I am, which is interesting.

A midwife? That stuff you need a good stomach for - the patient too. ;)

Haha. Compared to those, my dad's job is nothing.

...well, actually, the pay's alright, but he does nothing. He gets around half a hundred grand a year, for sitting in an office watching computer monitors trained on the Lucas Downer Tele-Communications Department building, inside. He's job is to make sure all the jointers (employeeswho do the practical stuff) and contractors (employees who travel country-wide to do all the practical stuff) are doing their job when inside that particular building. He's known as a Supervisor. He's supplied a Toyota Hilux ute, which is good for the travelling he does, whenever he does. He doesn't leave town much, though when he does, it's usually over the other side of Australia, and he's gone for about a month. He's employed by Lucas Downer, now called Downer, or Lucas, I think. Basically, he works for a tele-communications company based in Dubbo, this craphole I'm living in. They are like Telstra, except located in a more remote spot in Australia, and not internationally known, as of yet. They are pretty much one whole big contractor for Telstra. They do all the rough and dirty stuff, that Telstra doesn't.

And mum does nothing.

Hmm...fall. Your mum does nothing? hehe my mum would kill me if I said that, even though she does actually work. She reckons that being a housewife or something is just as challenging and blah blah blah. My mum works part time at the school, in the library or as a teachers aid for the kindergarten kids and relief work in the surf shop.

My Dad's the Chief Executive Officer with the Shire Council. He's got a pretty stressful job, but the pay's good. I don't think I'd want to do either of my parents jobs though.

I actually don't know what I want to do yet. Please help! All I know is that I will finish school and go to university. To study what? Who knows...

I actually don't know everything my dad does, but I know that he's a computer and technology whiz. He's designed several types of missles, computers, and then some inventions for medical groups and armies. heh. Sometimes we think he's with the government or CIA. XD Luckily I plan on becoming an artist and writer though. :)

Hn, my dad works as an art teacher at a high school. But he has to do alot more work than just teach, he has to look after the kids as well. See, the high school where my dad works at is where all the troubled kids go. No, not as in retardednesss or anything. It's the problems such as depression, anger problems, extreme laziness, and of course the kids that have made threats of somekind to blow up a building etc. But my dad doesn't mind, he really likes all of the kids. He says they are great to be around and this summer I had first hand experiance. You see, they were having this graffidi project, and I got to help. It was really cool, because we would just stay there from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and just graffidi a wall. It turned out great and I even got to know some of the kids. My dad was right, they arn't that different and a whole ton more interesting than most people. ^^ I enjoyed myself that week.
My mom on the otherhand is a Photographer, as is my step father. She and my step dad own their own studio. The studio is pretty cool.... but our house is in ruins. They spend all the money they make on the studio. Sure, they save a bit for food, clothes and so such. But my father send 700 dollars each month from his paycheck... and me and my sister have never seen it in these past four years. That's what my mom spends it on... the studio, when it is 'sposed to be for me and my sister. Plus, my mom is never home, she is always at the studio working when she doesn't need to. You'd think that since they are their own bosses, they would put off a little time to spend with their kids! I mean, there are five of us and two cats. That's the worst thing... not getting alot of food, getting all hand-me-down clothes, your house in ruins, and not seeing your dad. *sighs*
Anyway, me, I would much rather go into a writing or artistic job. I would love to be a manga writer too. But I've also had a very high interest in science and I might follow in that career.

I've never seen my biological father before. He lives in San Diego and manages to make the child support payments so I know he is doing something.

My biological mother last I checked was a cashier at a steak resturaunt. That was like a year ago and she hasn't called or anything since- so I am judging she is doing something like that now.

My adoptive [grand]father was an insurance salesman for 25 years with State Farm insurance. My [grand]mother helped him out as a secretary- they made a pretty decent amount of cash.

Nothing spectatuclar.

My biological father was a painter. His name was George. I don't know extent of his work exactly, but he was a contracted painter... not an artist. He worked at a lot of random buildings downtown. He passed away though.

My step-father, Andy, is vice-president of Jacobs Boiler. It's a heating company here in Chicago that is owned by his family.

My dad works for the ACF ( Army Cadet Force), and something else. Heh, he's been promoted to Sargent Mayjor(sp?). Pretty cool eh? I think my two brothers have the best jobs. One works for T-Mobile, the other is in advertising, he makes really stupid and funny ones he said.

Well, I guess my dad's job ain't nothing special...

My daddy works in Chicago, does somethig with stocks. It's been explained to me, but I still get confused. He supports all eight of his kids very well. My mom stays at home, but I wouldn't call her a house wife. She takes care of the animals and animal related paper work on our farm. She doesn't do any of the heavy work any more, but she does do a lot. She breeds many of our animals to sell, like doggies and horsies, and llamas, and I could go on with a very long list. I'm gonna be an animator, so it's more of taking from the art skills that everyone from my dad's side except my dad passed to me.

My father works as a contractor for an air freight company. He goes all around the Maryland/Virginia/DC area, but mostly Silver Springs, Rockville, Fairfax, and the like. He also has his own moving business that he runs on the side, since he owns his own short truck.

My mother doesn't do anything. I'm the only one that works in my house, lol.

I'm currently striving toward trying to become a journalist or a political cartoonist. There's no way I could deliver packages like my dad does. Yeesh.

I don't know what my bastard father does and I don't want to know. All I know is that he can't keep a job for more than a week.

My mom, Lori, works in a factory called Mill's Pride - they make kitchen cabinets and the like. Nothing interesting.

My dad's... I can't remember his title any more (it keeps changing), but last time I knew I remembered it being Senior Psychiatric Consultant for the West Sussex NHS Trust. I think, heh. He's a psychiatrist who deals with drug and alcohol addictions, anyway.

My mum used to work for the Ministry of Defence, doing various bits of research. For a time she worked at Farnborough, but I can't remember what she was doing there. She doesn't do any proper professional paid work anymore, but she occasionally gives out private spinning and weaving lessons to people who want to learn.

I don't particularly want to follow in either of their footsteps, although I have a great deal of respect for them doing what they do/did do. My dad works horrendous hours, end even at home most of his time is spent answering work-related e-mails.

Still, I'd like to be an actor, hopefully in TV/anime/film/theatre...

My dad works in receiving for Wegman's which is a grocery store where I live. They pay their workers **i* he hasn't gotten a raise in eight years and he's worked there for twenty-five years.
When he's not working, he's shooting at animals near the PA border.
My mom works for FIT Which stands for Food Information Training. Basically, she sits at a computer in her home office (sometimes over the weekend) doing conference calls and figuring stuff out.
When she's not home, she's somewhere else teaching people how to use programs. I loved when she'd come down to TX to see me. I also got to go to AZ because of her.

Well, my birth father has been deceased since 1987, but I will still give a bit on him as well as my step-father.(the one I now call my father)

My real father was an army man. Died as a lt. col. He was a ranger and did several other things all revolving around a base called camp perry. (if you know that base, than you may have an idea of whats up) He did several other things in the service, but in honor of not boring you all, or offending his memory, I will leave it at this... he was a good and honorable man.

My step-father is also a good man, but a different one. Where as my real father graduated first in his class at john hopkins university with an engineering degree (after which he went straight to vietnam), my step father is a buisness man.
He has his MBA and CPA. Graduated from VA Tech and did so without too much trouble. (although I should mention that there is a reason he didn't get too upset when I failed out of college right after highschool... he did the same thing.)(btw, Im on the right track, back in school holding a 3.5 gpa in my second year of college)
Currently my father is working for a local company as something of a problem solver. He is new to the company, and before he came around, the company was in serious dissarray, now they are on track, and my father is looking at a great long term position with them.

My mother... graduated from georgetown univ. traveled the world with my real father working in several different civilian personal positions for the military. However, as time went on and I was concieved, she slowed down and now serves as a stay home mom. (which she did the best job in the world with)

I hope that doesn't do my parents any sort of injustice.

And thanks for reading it all.

My Dad works at Staffordshire University at the moment- but he's had most jobs you can get in stoke.

He's been a miner, a potter (ie. he worked in a pottery factory- he never actually made any pots though, heh), a supermarket worker, he worked for MARCONI for a while, then he was an electrician apprentice, and then he started at Staffs uni as a technician, where he's been the last 17 years or so. Now he's a senior lecturer there.

My Pops is an enigma of a man. His name is Mike or Mikali depending on which side of my family is around. He started working on a Hotel for my grnadparens in Greece. Then He joined the American Marines. Then he joined a Police Force. Then he was a trucker. Then he was in the Army as a medical specialist for 7 years and transferred to the National Guard Recuitment area, which brings us to today.

There's a school wth exactly the same name here in Dubbo, near the central district. So I'm guessing there's a few schools overseas with that same name.

Hm, my dad is the president of an NYSE company and on the side buys apartment buildings in NYC. He also owns a chair on the stock exchange that he rents out. He trades as well.

My mom...uhm...she got her real estate license on a whim a few years back but has yet to do anything with it. So, I guess she would be considered a housewife.

Oh, I left out a few things.

My dad's name is James and my mom's name is Ann. My dad went to Auburn for college and The Moore School of business at USC for international business for his masters. He went to eGrmany for a few years and worked at Price, Waterhouse, Cooper. My mom went to Vanderbilt (where most people on my moms side went) for two years and went to UGA for a year then dropped out of college and wandered around aimlessly around for quite some time whilst she became a professional shopper at Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus.

They were both born and raised in Atlanta like myself.

My dad works for some company called Unision(I think that's the name.)In Unision thye make hearing aids. My dad does alot of things. I'm not entirely sure what he does there. I do ask alot of questions during dinner. I'm like Dory from finding Nemo and forget everything.

Both my parents work in technology stuff. I barely get to see them until 8p.m. By then I would be sleeping. Well anyways back to the subject. I think my dad shapes out the hearing aids and inserts whatever is in the hearing aid, good think my dad knows about earing aids.
My mom is deaf so...yeah. I wish I could speak my language at home but, I can't. I know how to listen but not speak. My uncle says it's not my fault and it's my parents fault for not spending time with me.

My Dad? He works for the United States Navy.

He's currently in charge of Submarine Tactical Operations for the Atlantic. It apparently entails spending long hours at work, and the occasional trip somewhere to give important, classified, briefings.

In other words, he's never around... and we move a lot to keep up with his job, apparently the navy thinks it?s funny to move us every two years.

Sacred Heart?! The school in Newmarket? Well my dad is the Assitant Manager of Petro Canada. He divorced my mother a long time ago, and now has all the money he needs. He always frequently trades stocks and keeps bringing in the cash. Sad part is, is that he is obsessed with himself and spends it all on himself and my evil stepmother Ann Marie..¬¬

I do not plan to follow my daddy's footsteps, he works in a big office with stuck-up,rich people. I plan to live an exciting life on my own terms, and not in a boring old office. I want to ride horses. I already ride as much as I can ever since I was 7-8-ish. I love horses and plan on raising them and riding them professionally. And if you say, "Stuck up, rich, preppy horse-back rider", I'll shove horse manure in your mouth ^^;;

Later dayzzzz
