This is an RP I made a long time ago, and if you were around of the original release, be advised, the story has changed and been revamped. So, I'll present the new and moderatetly improved....

The Mechanical Angel, Azrael

Long ago, in the ages before man was created, beings of infinite beauty and wisdom ruled the Heavens as God slumbered. They were God?s grace and love, purity and innocent, extremely obedient and loyal, and they were His perfection. He loved his creation with the utmost abundance of admiration, he blessed these beings with wings and immortality as His gift to them. These beings are called ?angels?. This strive to be surrounded by perfection grew with the creation of a division of elite angels. These select angels would be given the gift of God?s powers. They would hold balance in the Heavens; each level of Heaven would be in charge of a government of these elites. They are called ?Arc Angels?. They were considered, at times, holier than God himself and were highly looked, morally and faithfully, upon. Always loyal, always faithful, always dedicated, Arc Angels ruled the Heavens. Their lair and government is called ?The Choir?. The balance was unwavering, until He created ?them? which would be called ?men?.

No longer did angels hold the twinkle of His eyes. One certain Arc Angel grew furious with God?s obsession, and short behavior with His angels. This Arc Angel took it upon himself to lead his fellow beings to righteousness and to claim back their gaze of God?s eyes. It was their right; they were there first. This rebellious Arc Angel, the most beautiful of them all, was the most powerful, and held a great deal of respect. His name, is Lucifer. He went on to conquer the Heavens, claiming that God had grown weak and would disregard all angels. His preaching captured followers, and, inadvertently, resisters. This struggle would only worsen when God banished Lucifer and all who followed him. Infuriated and soiled with hatred, Lucifer produced a world of his own. Where he ruled and conspired to destroy God and all his angels.

This began a war, known as The Great Fall. The war dragged on for thousands of years, and in these years, many angels died; but what was worse, thousands of angels betrayed God and the Choir, fleeing to Lucifer for power. There were a few good Arc Angels left on God?s side; they would be His only hope in defeating Lucifer and his army. However, Lucifer was not left with mere minions. He had one of such great power, that it was said this ?one? may even be a threat to Lucifer himself. This ?one? was God?s closest child, His most prized of all angelic beings. And his name is Azrael, Arc Angel of Death. During The Great Fall, Azrael was betrayed by God, and joined forces with, his former rival, the Fallen Star. But to God?s dismay, Azrael?s ?turn to the dark side? was not the bad news. No, the horrifying news was that Azrael disappeared. There was no evidence to show that he existed any longer. Alas, this was good news to the Heavens, but horrifying news to the Hells. Azrael was Lucifer?s only key to destroying God, and without Azrael at his side, Lucifer stood little ground compared to the growing Angelic Army.

The chase begins: Hell desperately searches for their ?savior?, while Heaven searches to destroy Lucifer?s only hope. This chase travels through the span of the ever-changing millennia?s. Rumors spread that Azrael was escaping Hell because he was a coward, or that he was expanding his powers to destroy both Lucifer and God. Whatever the case may have been, not one trace of the rebel angel?s was found. Until now, in the year 2073, Lucifer received word that a prestigious and well-acclaimed scientist by the name of Victor Allington stumbled upon what would become his greatest and deadliest discovery; immortality. It was not a discovery that resided in an invention, or scientific break-through, but rather in a living being that, to him, appeared to be human. However, Dr. Allington was informed by this being that he was no human or animal, but a creation and abomination of God. The scientist, understandably baffled, was determined to conduct a series of unorthodox experiments upon this creature.

Heaven was the first to receive word of Azrael?s discovery. This resulted in God?s order to seek Azrael out, and destroy him in the weakened condition the good Dr. Allington had thrown him in. Lucifer received information secondly, obviously, and cast out his own search party; they were ordered to eliminate any angel of God, and those who dared to help the Heavens, and to capture and return the Angel of Death.

The chase, slowly winding down, was forced into full throttle. The battle between Heaven and Hell intensifies as each side struggles to reach the finish line. Who will you defend?

Sign-up Notes

There will only be 2 human sources. One will accompany my character (Azrael), and one will accompany the side of Lucifer. Their job is to ensure the safety of their companion (ie, getting the Angel and Fallen Angel up to speed on modern technology, and helping them through human culture un-noticed). So make your sign-up count if you want to be human. Also note that the human character is just as he/she is, human. No supernatural powers, that is for your companion Fallen Angel or Angel.

2 humans, 3 Angels of God, and 3 Demons of Lucifer (excluding Azrael).

No half-Angel/half-Demon, half-Human/half-Angel, half-Human/half-Demons. I will not reconsider this, so don?t bother to ask.

Your angel character does not have to be all flowers and butterflies, but has to believe in and support God?s will with absolute faith. Meaning, your angel can be a badass and not always follow the ?correct? path of righteousness, but they will not bow to the whims and temptations of evil. They are strictly loyal and obedient to God.

Your Fallen Angel character does not have to be all gargoyle-like or hunchback like a demon would look. However, if you wish for your character to take on the appearance of a human, but can transform into a hideous-looking demon, have at it. Just make sure you specify that in your sign-up (meaning, provide descriptions/pictures for the human form and demon form).
Name:

Species: (Angel of God, Fallen Angel, or human)
Appearance:

Powers: (This can include your weapon, if you have one. Humans have no powers, only weapons.)
Personality:
Biography: (I would like to see at least three paragraphs, more would be nice. If you are signing-up for a human, explain how you are able to connect with the Ange or the Fallen Angel)

My character profile will go up as soon as I see a couple of posts.

So many Fallen Angels, so little time...so hard to pick one. But at last, I settled.

Name: Belial
Age: Immortal
Gender: Male
Species: Fallen Angel
Appearance:
Belial - Human Form He's the red-haired guy, of course.
Occasionally, though, Belial shifts out of his human guise into the true form of a demon. He sprouts two large, black-feathered wings that grow tattered with his time away from heaven. His hair grows long, down past his waist nearly to his knees. His eyes begin to burn with hellfire, and heat radiates from his very skin. His clothes seem to melt away, leaving him covered only in a black loin-cloth.

Side: Hell

Powers: Any who have read Dante Alighieri's surprisingly accurate account of Hell, the Inferno, knows that the suffering of the Lustful is to be forever whipped around in a great maelstrom. It is fitting, then, that Belial can manipulate the winds of Hell. It seems that air is constantly at his command, letting him create terrible gales, powerful shields, or invisible blades. However, he can only manipulate the existing wind, not create it. The more powerful a gust, the more powerful he becomes.

In addition, he has mild power over horomones, specifically, pheromones. This allows him to spark lust in the hearts of those he chooses, or destroy it all the same.

Personality: In Milton's Paradise Regained, Belial was dubbed "the fleshiest Incubus." While Belial is not, as the title would indicate, in any way overweight, he is very much an Incubus, living for the pleasures of the flesh. It is for this reason that he acts the way he does - sensual, seductive, and very suave. He does his best to wrap people around his finger - men or women, he cares not. His confidance in this respect is understandably high, as he does have his powers over lust. However, some might consider him cocky, and that's just fine. He can always work it into an inneundo.

But his sensuality isn't all there is to Belial's character - he also dabbles as a demon of Sloth. Belial is perhaps the laziest demon alive, except when his passion is involved. It was he who advised that the Fallen Angels should just stay in Hell, for he felt a second attack would be too much work. Thus, he tries to worm his way out of as much as he can, preferring to relax or, even better, get a warm body or two.

Biography: When Belial was an angel in heaven, he was supposed to be an angel of Love. However, feeble emotions did not suit him - instead, he turned to the darker side of his power, in the form of lust. His lascivious heart caused him to corrupt many a fellow angel into his incubi and succubi. And when Lucifer decided to strike out against God, Belial saw it as his chance to break free of inhibition and finally give his heart to lust.

However, the Fallen were defeated, and Belial joined the Rebels in Hell. He was one of the last to rise out of the lakes of fire and join his fellows. When he rose, they were deciding what to do. Some said wage war on Heaven; Belial, on the other hand, thought that they should just make the best of their current situation. His slothful spirit didn't lend itself to a second charge, and he felt that they should just focus on making Hell their new home, and not worry about fighting against God.

In the end, when the Fallen Angels became the enemy of Mankind, Belial was at last able to fulfull his dark passion and give into lust. Leading his fellow demons of that sin of the flesh, his Incubi and Succubi have ravaged mankind for ages, turning them away from God's pure love towards fornication and debased debauchery. However, as long as Heaven still stands, manking will fight against his hold. For this, Belial is willing to do anything to crush the purity and light that holds him back.

His dark lust shall swallow the hearts of the weak. Love will fall to his claws.

Name: Inhert

Age: 18 1/2

Gender: Neutral (Appears male)

Species: Fallen Angel

Appearance: Look Down. This is actually his true form. In his more 'human' form, he loses his wings and dons a trench coat that is, oddly, but appropriately enough, crimson red.

Side: Hell

Power: He uses the powers of blood magic in the form of a strange, twisted necromancy. There are various symbols lovingly etched into his palms to aid this obscure form of arcane magic. He also has his most beloved possession, his dagger, as what could be considered a weapon, but so far, this dagger has drawn more blood from him than anyone else.

As of yet, he hasn't developed any powers based on his heritage beyond the ability to fly. Having wings that are still full and white may prove to have more uses than just this, because he could easily be mistaken for an angel. Which is convenient, because he doesn't particularly enjoy fighting if it can be avoided.

Personality: Inhert is a little strange even for a sentient life-form, let alone a fallen angel. Being extremely young for what he is, he doesn't possess much knowledge of the great war, nor is he particularly interested in learning. He is morbidly fascinated with blood - his or others - and won't hesitate for a moment to demonstrate this if someone happens to be watching him.

He's quite the outgoing person, despite all this. If, for some reason, he manages to remain with someone for over thirty seconds (he lacks anything even resembling an attention span), he comes off as a cheerful guy, if admittedly one with a somewhat fatalistic sense of humor.

In battle, however, he completely changes. He becomes bloodthirsty, crazed by his obsession with the crimson liquid. The knowledge that he is a fallen angel - and thus immortal - doesn't help this much, as he will gladly take an occasional hit just for the pleasure he derives from watching the blood.

Biography: The history of Inhert isn't a very long one; he is, after all, quite young. He, like so many others, was born of the firy pits of Hell, and was shortly thereafter recruited into the dark legions of Lucifer. He isn't exactly sure how he got into the dark army, seeing as how he hates fighting, and actually enjoys human company (if the position weren't already taken, he'd be the official Fallen Angel of Lust).

So, why then would he be one of the demons chosen to carry out such a mission as finding this strange Azrael person? Inhert was thoroughly confused when he was filled in on the matter. How could an Angel, that was reputedly God's most prized being, be of any help to Hell? Perhaps Inhert might have known more about the situation if he hadn't told the demon giving him this mission to "Shut up and get to the important part". Oh, well.

The only real reason Inhert even accepted this mission was that it was a good excuse to slip into the human realm. Inhert enjoys being around humans, particularly females, but up until he was summoned up to join the search, he had had no chance to even cross planes into the human realm. If he just happened to be 'helping the cause', then so much the better. After all, if he was the one that found and returned this 'Azrael' person, he could easily ask to remain in the human realm as his reward. At least, that's his idea.

Not to sound like a copycat or anything, but I hope that's an acceptable sign-up!

Name: Esther Range
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Appearance: Esther
Side: Helping Azrael
Weapon: A Smith and Wesson M64 .38Spl , usually hidden in Esther?s hipster bag that she always has belted to her side. She also carries a switch blade, though this is usually only when she knows she'll be in a crowded place with people who she does not know. Esther never leaves home without one of her weapons.
Personality: Esther, an only child to a single parent family, has always grown up knowing that she is the only one going to look out for her and has even got to the point where she doesn?t want someone to look after her any more. She is a highly intelligent young women with a sharp mind and quick wit, though she prefers to stay back and listen when a discussion is going on, throwing in a few comments only if she deems it necessary. By now means a shy person, though some would perceive her to be so, Esther is very confident and for a few years dabbled in theatre acting, mingling with a few well-known Thespians. She enjoyed this time and picked up many friends, though still prefers to be alone rather than socialise. A kind and good-hearted woman, Esther is one who people can trust their lives and darkest secrets with. She?s always there if someone needs advice or a shoulder to cry on and is happy to help with any situation. The only fault of her personality is thus: over the years she has grown increasingly paranoid and it is part of the reason why she prefers to be alone. The fact that she always carries a weapon makes her wary about meeting new people or even going into crowded areas.

Biography: Esther never knew her father and still, to this day, doesn?t know much about the reason why he left for good. The only thing she knows is that he left soon after she was born and from that day, Esther?s mother seemed set on drinking herself to an early grave.

Constantly coming home drunk, angry and depressed, Esther?s mother paid her crying child no attention and would on the odd occasion take her frustrations out on the toddler. This kind of behaviour carried on for three years, but Esther, being only a young child thought that this was what she was doomed to for the rest of her life. She learnt to hide when her mother arrived home and how to cook for herself. Eventually Esther was doing most things around the house and tried to keep it in the best condition she could. Soon, however, without her mother paying attention to the finer workings of the house, it begun to literally fall apart. In a rare sober state, Esther?s mother packed a suitcase of clothes and few belongings and took herself and her child away to live with her sister, who was willing to take the two in on the condition Esther?s mother stopped drinking. That, however, was stopped soon enough, as Esther?s mother was found dead one month later outside a club, a bullet hole in her forehead.

Esther was raised by her aunt for the next ten years, by which time she was sixteen and was sent away to a college of performing arts. This seemed like a good idea as Esther?s confidence and faith in the human race had suffered greatly due to her traumatic time as a child. The memories still haunted her nightly and she often woke up in cold sweats. It?s this mounting fear and distrust that has lead Esther to her current state of paranoia. She has, however, from her time in college, learnt that people are not all bad and is now happy to at least have friends outside of work.

She met another girl during her time in college that had made an attempt on her life but had been ?saved by God?s love?, as she put it. This girl suggested that Esther come to mass one Sunday with her, just to see how the warmth of God?s love would touch her, especially after all she had been though. Esther agreed, being a curious person, and soon found great interest in the workings of the Church. Esther is, by no means, an overly religious person. In fact, she isn?t even quite sure of her belief in God but still goes to Church every Sunday. She is very much a ?have to see it to believe it? person, but deep down truly wishes for something to happen to her for her belief in God to be sparked.

After play-acting for four years, Esther decided it was time for a career change and is currently taking night classes in criminology, hoping to further that education when she has built up sufficient funds. Currently, Esther works four times a week and Sunday?s in a nice little café buried in the more residential part of the city. Occasionally she will perform in plays, though usually only during the winter. She lives alone in a medium sized apartment and frequents the shooting range where she has met quite a few of her closer friends.

Not long ago, on a Sunday morning when the church she frequents had no one but herself inside, Esther felt a certain...presence. At first she ignored the feeling, believing it to be another bout of paranoia...but then it became stronger, like a pleasant warmth in the pit of her stomach. She lifted her head and turned to see a man at the Church door, something about him told Esther that he was no normal human. He immediatly crossed to her and sat right next to her, not uttering a word. Esther simply stared and, forgetting her manners, launched straight into speach, "My name is Esther Range...can I help you?".
"Perhaps..." was all he said in reply and his story, along with Esther's awakened belief in God, followed soon after.

Most enjoyable sign up I have written in a long time. ^_^

Very good sign-ups so far. Da'ling Gurt, could you add how you came to be at the side of Azrael? It doesn't have to be another four paragraphs, but just something to connect you with him--unless, you had planned on them meeting in the RPG, then PM me to discuss the meeting.

All around, very good. I'm anxious to see a few more people's sign-up. I shall post mine later on tonight.

Name: Archangel Gabriel
Age: Immortal
Gender: Male
Species: Angel of God
Appearance: Gabriel. Gabriel wears a white, collared, short-sleeved shirt and dark blue jeans in the mortal realm. He often wears a black, hooded sweater as well. His symbol is stitched into his shirt, on back. He has 6 white wings, three that protrude from each side. He also wears a pair of thin, square-rimmed shades that has his symbol on both sides.
Side: Heaven

Powers:

Telepathy- Gabriel can read minds, and is quite profficient in it. His telepathic abilities were often used in battle, to learn of the enemy's battle strategies before they were intiated.

Healing- Gabriel, as the archangel of humanity, has restorative abilities. His powers were essential to the massess of angels that were severely injured during The Great Fall. This ability is lessened on Earth, as Gabriels mortal body doesn't have the constant flow of holy energy reaching him. Though he can heal his mortal wounds, it exhausts him.

Aquacius Requiem- Gabriel wields on his back a longsword, one with a beautiful, dragonic hilt and a radiant blue blade. This is his weapon in combat, and it is imbued with both water elemental and healing capabilities. In the mortal realm, his blade is what he often uses for healing. Since the blade was forged and crafted in Heaven, it is directly linked to the holy flow of energy, and does not run out of viable healing energy.

Imbuence- He has been known through history to be able to imbue physchic gifts upon the mortals on earth as well.

Personality: The Archangel of humanity, vengeance, revelation, truth, and hope, Gabriel shows all of these qualities in his being. A kind, heart-felt man at his core, he loves all creatures, and hates the ever-ensuing battle between the forces of dark and light. In battle, though, the compassion in his heart melts away. He feels no pity for those who turned away from the will of God. They are the enemy, and as much as it hurts him subconsciously to be fighting former angels, he knows they must be stopped. Gabriel is one of the two highest ranking angels, and is trusted and beloved by God. He has never once thought of joining the Fallen, for his loyalty and devotion to God are to fierce. He despises Lucifer or his betrayal of God and wishes to find and bring Azrael into custody so that Lucifer cannot deal any more crushing blows to God and his legion of faithful followers.

Biography: As one of God?s most trusted Angels, he was often sent throughout history to give news of forthcoming events to mortals by God. He gave the prophecy of seventy weeks, announced the birth of St. John, told Mary that she would bear the lord?s son, and he even buried Moses. He foretold King Alexander the Great?s conquest of Persia. Gabriel loved mortals, and was lad to be able to give them an insight into the future. His love for humans was not shared, though, as made seen by The Great Fall. The Great Fall tore at Gabriel?s heart for years, he could not believe that any Angels would think that God was their enemy. But he eventually surpassed his dismay and became a great warrior of God.

He valiantly fought for God, repelling the Fallen from entering Heaven and destroying all that God had created. Finally the Fallen succumbed and retreated to Hell, where they reside plotting against the forces of light. This was no joyous news to Gabriel, however. During this horrid battle more and more Angels were being slaughtered, more and more turned to the side of darkness. The war was taking it?s toll, and it was apparent. Heaven was left in ruin, to be rebuilt almost daily. Many Angela were left severely wounded, unable to battle for weeks, even months. The Fallen suffered the same losses. Gabriel battled less, and spent most of his time tending to and caring for the wounded. Though he was often called back to warfare, he felt his place was with those who had been betrayed by ones who were once their allies.

The Fallen eventually decided to nurse to their injured as well, and their attacks lessened. This gave the Archangels of heaven time to gather together with God to discuss what should be done next in the war, and to discuss the disappearance of Azrael. God made it apparent that the loss of Azrael was more favorable than not, for the legions of Hell would be unable to use his powers against them. But though he felt that way, he decided it would still be advantageous to find Azrael and bring him back and either have him rejoin them, or be destroyed. Gabriel and his subordinates spent many years searching for him. And finally they received word of his current whereabouts. He was located on Earth, to Gabriel's surprise. That seemed like an odd place to take refuge, especially when both sides watched Earth with keen eyes.

Gabriel and other Angels were sent down to Earth to search for Azrael. Gabriel found that he enjoyed being on Earth quite a lot, but never strayed from his mission. His search wasn?t fruitful, however. Only rumors here and there. But he won?t quit until he?s found Azrael and brought him back to God?

Or has destroyed him.

Name: Woe
Age: Appears 30
Gender: Appears Female

Appearance: Woe appears just as her name states. A fallen angel, corrupted by sadness. Woe stands about 5'6" tall. She weighs around 120 lbs. Since she was casted out of heaven, she has longed to return to God's side. Although a fallen angel, Woe still wears the heavenly robes she was first granted. White down silk strectched down to the floor, pure in every thought, except for the fact a demon now wears them. Woe has blonde hair, reaching down to her shoulders while her golden eyes gain the attention of everyone in the room. One of the purest demons among Lucifer's horde.

Side: Fallen Angel

Weapons/Powers: See attachment. The two blades were given to her by Lucifer, one of the few kind acts he has performed as leader of his domain. When she was cast out of heaven by God, many had pity towards her. She still felt as if she was God's child, but she knew to meet him, she would have to fight through many foes. She took the blades and quickly learned how to use them. Woe's secret, her magical abillities, allows her to bind elements with her blades. This allows her to gain the advantage on her opponete within mere seconds.

Personality/Bio: Once one of the most obediente angels ever to walk within God's presence, Woe was a favorite within heaven. She constantly performed her duties to God with excellent prescision while not faultering from the path of righteousness God intended for each of his creatures to follow. But, that all came crumbling down when Lucifer made his attacks. After he and his followers were cast down by God, the Choir started to interrogate every last angel, even the cherubs. For some reason, after the first week of interviews, the Choir gave up on their ideal of checking everyone. They began random background checks, often ending in exile. Amazingll, Woe was one of the first. They read her information, and realized that she was very pure. To keep them all from looking like complete fools, they exiled her from Heaven for eternity.

Woe feels that while she is among the demons, she shall install a sense of order within Hell. The loose way things are being ordered about is completely absurd to Woe. She needs order. She understands the task before her will be difficult, but, she feels that if she were to help Lucifer find this angel, then their is a possibility of order in Hell. While striving for salvation, she may faulter from her path. But she realizes that God will understand, as long as the Choir is out of earshot. Revenge towards the corrupted Choir will be her repentance, and her fee for returning to heaven, or atleast that's what she believes.

In the end, Woe is a confused angel. She feels as though she must deliver God's judgement even if it is wrong in his eyesight. Easily aggrivated, Woe is a handful. She is also an amazing warrior, excelling in close-combat. Her only problem is her inner struggle she has. She must chose to either go with God's will, and remained damned for all eternity, or against it, and seek salvation for herself. The tides of war are slowly shifting, and that means its possible for any thing to happen. Damnation or blessedness, either way, Woe will face many difficulties on her journey.

Commentary from Annie
I would first like to say that I am very, very pleased with the sign-ups. I am truly happy to see that the angels you all have came up with have been really close to/or right on the dot of how they are known. So much information, and it fascinates me how well you know the information. I'm extremely impressed, and so far, you guys have reinstated my faith in RPing. And that, is something I will say that has never happen to me in my 2 years of being a member here.

Congratulations, you all have made me happy. Now, to post my character ^_^

Note 1- Sign-ups are still open, and they will remain open until Monday. If you have posted, and would like to change a few things, feel free to do so. If you are interested and haven't been able to post, you have a few more days. Any complications with the timeline, send me a PM and we'll work something out.

Note 2- The RPG will be a free-flow. Meaning, I'm not practicing the chapter system. However, I expect everyone to be on their best behavior. Meaning, posts have to be up to OtakuBoard posting standards. If you are rusty on the standards, go take a walk over to the rules and freshen up ^_^

Also, I will ask for members to communicate with each other in the Underground (will go up in a few minutes). That is where you can coordinate and ask questions. Please remember that the PM system still works (:p), and if you have a problem with someone's post, and it can't be dealt with in the Underground, take it up with them via PM.

My character
Name- Azrael, Arc Angel of Death
Age- Undetermined
Gender- Male
Species- Fallen Angel
Appearance- Angel of Death--This is his appearance when engaged in battle. The mask is hooked up to a respirator that helps his still frail body to keep a steady pace of breath.

Azrael in Casuals--This is the normal appearance. Except that the white fur coat is non-existent, instead, he loves to don a heavy, black leather overcoat.

Side- Hell

Powers:

The Book Azrael- "....forever writing in a large book and forever erasing what he writes: what he writes is the birth of man, and what he erases is the name of the man at death."

Yes, Azrael is an author, of morbid sorts. He keeps an ancient, dilapidated leather-bound book close to his chest. This is the book that had been placed in his possession when God granted him the power to take life. Every human being on Earth had their name on the pages of worn parchment. And when their time came, their name was removed from the book. This poor representation of literature did not look like the book it once used to be. The pages so old, they looked as if they would deteriorate with the stroke of Azrael?s quill.

As terrible and hopeless as this book may appear, it is no binding of parchment to be thumbing through. With the touch of his quill, Azrael has the power to take your life away from you. Death is his most endearing friend, and has him wrapped around his finger. When Azrael commands it, Death will come for you. Perhaps not immediately, but inevitably, he will seek you out. And how he deals with you, is only at the whim of his mood; which is normally merciless and long-lasting cruelty.

?All I have to do is drag the edge of the pen through thy name, and that will be the story of you..? ~Azrael

Wings- As you can see in the picture, Azrael's wings are no ordinary set. Aside from being rows upon rows of blades, whenever he feels like playing, the metal can be charged with enough watts of electricity to vaporize a solid object; that includes human bodies.

Blade of Persona- This is Azrael's prized possession, a four foot-long jagged blade made of an ancient metal soaked in millions of angel's blood. All angels and humans alike have different personalities, different views, different attitudes, different blood, so on and so forth. Mixing these varieties of bloods and personalities can be dangerous, especially when one uses it for a weapon or tool. The strong, titanium metal was forged in compliance with this strange mix of bloods, giving the blade a metallic red color. If the opponent is greedy, the blade will sense this and use the opponent's weakness, greed, against them. And depending on how badly the person?s greed or lusts or whatever the case may be, depends on how badly the blade will burn, or so to speak. On the first stabbing or severing, the opponents blood is absorbed into the blade. It, the blood, is then turned into a deadly poison. On the second attack, the opponent's poisoned blood is returned to them, sending them into severe convulsions and a state of mental confusion, rendering them from making coherent decisions and attacks. On the third and final attack, Azrael delivers a powerful blow, finalizing the attack and allowing the opponents weakness to spread throughout their body with unmatchable speed; giving no hope of recovery.

Personality: Confused, unsure of what is going on. Azrael is strong and powerful, yet he has no idea just how powerful he has become. He is depressed, lonely, dark, and always keeps an air of mystery and wonder. His feelings about himself are scrambled and he is very unstable. Since the time after Dr. Allington got his hands on him, Azrael remembers little about his past, and is constant search of any bit of information on himself.

Biography- The dawn of Heaven. God blessed this wondrous place with Angels. He assigned Angels to several choirs and denominations. Each had their own and deliberate purpose. Metatron, Sandalphon, Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, Celestial, all highest ranking of Angels. They became the first to be called "Arc Angels". All of the rest were just known as Angels. However, there was one more. One more who stood out from all of the choirs. He was the black sheep, he never quite fit in with any of the denominations. His name, Azrael.

God knew Azrael had a dark side to him. He was always alone, never to associate with the rest of the Angels. All except a select few. Of course, these rare associates were just as Azrael, dark and mysterious. Although they stayed together, Azrael seemed to be alone, but never wavered in his love and devotion to his God. For his bravery and loyalty, God declared Azrael as the Arc Angel of Death.

One day, a fellow Arc Angel lost his mind. He grew insane with rage at God and went to Azrael for help to assassinate their Lord. Azrael refused and went to God to warn him. It was too late, this fallen angel was already carrying out his assassination. But to his dismay, Azrael put a blunt stop to his lustful desire to murder God. Azrael slaughtered this fallen angel. Unfortunately, this fallen angel did not die, but was banished from Heaven. . Several angels followed Lucifer under Azrael's blade, saving the Heavens many a time. For his act of protection, Azrael thought he had done justice. An angel attacking God with a murderous intent was betrayal and treacherous. Instead, God was angry that Azrael would take no mercy for the slain, and was even more infuriated with the Arc Angel?s undesirable way of disposing the traitors. He scolded His child, rather than praise him of his loyalty.

As the years before The Great Fall passed, Azrael served God faithfully, despite the declining treatment he would receive. Until The Great Fall began. This war changed Azrael for all eternity. Heaven was a shattered glass ball. Demons and Fallen Angels flooded the Pearly Gates, slaughtering and maiming Angels of God as if they were animals. Lucifer raged through paradise and challenged God. Azrael, Commander of the Angelic Army, charged triumphantly through the evils of Hell. By the time he reached God, Lucifer was already there, along with thousands of possessed angels. Naturally, Azrael defended God and chased Lucifer out of Heaven with his army.

This action, though it may seem to us as an act of defending what is right, plucked at God?s arrogant nerve. He cursed Azrael for taking such a conceited action, in other words, taking God?s glory. He condemned Azrael from Heaven. He realized at that moment how unjust this God of his could be, and he was betrayed. He questioned God's authority and vowed to defy Him. Azrael lost all faith in God, in Heaven, and even in Angels of all rank. He even lost faith in himself. How could he be an angel of God if the God he served was unjust and merciless? Azrael fled the 7 Heavens to join sides with Lucifer to continue this battle against Heaven and all its "glory".

For centuries to follow, Hell held ground with Azrael as the Commander of the Demonic Forces. Under constant threat and continuous attacks, Azrael finally met his match on the battle field with an Angel of God named Raphael. He was one of two rulers of the Second Layer of Heaven, Raquia--the layer said to hold rebellious angels that were awaiting their judgment. For weeks, non-stop, Raphael and Azrael fought one-on-one. Ultimately, the struggle ended with Raphael the victor, and Azrael?s body disappeared. Never to be heard of again, until millennia?s later when an eager scientist came upon him.

Turns out, Azrael lived his encounter with the surprisingly powerful Angel of God, Raphael, and was living on Earth. However, with Raphael?s final blow, he cast a curse on Azrael. This curse was forbidden to all other angels, and was strictly ordered to use only in cases of dire emergency. This curse is known as ?The Breath of God?, and if you were an angel and this curse was given to you, it would drain your immortality and power. Now, the downside of this curse was that it took a great amount of time to completely drain the immortal. But the upside, besides the final result, the time would be spent in unimaginable anguish and suffering. As the time of the curse dwindles to an end, the body becomes more mortal and begins to deteriorate.

This is where Dr. Allington came in. Man has always been mystified with the thought of immortality, and have attempted to capture it. All failed, except one--or so he hoped. Dr. Victor Allington was known as the Frankenstein of this new age, and was determined to prove he found the way to give immortality. There was only one ingredient missing from his formula, a human volunteer. The idea of this seemingly madman?s proposal frightened many people, thus the lack to enthusiastic volunteers. In a fit of frustration, Dr. Allington found himself staring at the barrel of a gun. Insanity of rage washed over him when the scientific administration decided to cut his funds. He was going to kill himself, and take his secrets of immortality with him. However, while sitting in his car, Dr. Allington was stopped by an unexplainable curiosity to look out of his passenger window. A dark figure stood perfectly still underneath a single street light. The figure then moved towards the car, and opened the door. Stunned with fear, the scientist stayed in his seat.

?Dr. Victor Allington, you will not be committing suicide tonight,? the figure spoke, pulling back on his cloak?s hood, ?For you will prove your theory correct to the world. Immortality can be accomplished, and I, Azrael, will be your tool. My body is badly decayed, but I trust you can rebuild what mass of this putrid, mortal body I?ve lost.?

Disbelief, but fascination soon filled the tormented scientist. As Azrael had stated, his body was beyond normal surgical procedures. His body would have to be rebuilt. The doctor?s prescription, reconstruction of a metallic skeleton of what was lost; the entire left arm and left ribcage, the spine, shoulder blades, and the once soft, feathery wings became dangerous, and razor-sharp blades. Inner organs would be replaced with soft, realistic prosthetic mimics; particularly the heart and lungs. After all was said and done, Azrael earned his first nickname.

The birth of the Mechanical Angel.

Name: Dead Seraphim (a name given to him by human-kind; his God-given name having long since been lost to his insanity)
Age: Ageless. Appears about 20 or so.
Gender: Male
Species: Fallen Angel
Appearance: Written into bio.
Side: Hell
Powers: Super-human strength, and flight. He also has considerable power over the element of fire, and has been known to (very rarely) teleport. His weapon is a long, rune-encrusted blade forged before Genesis - few mortals survive its deadly blows, and fewer still have had the sanity to describe it if they did.
Personality: Unhinged. Dead is a madman who only serves hell because it more closely resembles his cracked moral compass. In battle his victories are excessively gory - where one angel would settle for a beheading, Dead will cleave the victim's body in two.

Then incinerate it.
Biography: Among the Seraphim Dead was revered - his voice was clear and pure, and God's light shone on him the brightest. His tall and well-structured frame was only superseded by the magnificent golden wings that sprang from his back, and his dark, sensual facial features. And for this, he was loved by all - especially by the Arch-Angel Lucifer.

Leading up to the Great Fall, Lucfier spent many an hour with Dead, explaining his reasoning behind his constant quarrels with God, among other things. Dead listened faithfully, as his respect for Lucifer was unmatched, and, very slowly, his opinion of the God which he praised so started to change. His songs of praise were tainted with first confusion, then anger. Eventually his song was like a magnificent ray of darkness amongst the shining choirs, a ray which did not go unnoticed.

God quietly took aside the troubled Seraphim, and asked of him why he hated so. Dead's reaction startled the benevolent deity - dark expletives never mentioned in God's presence were uttered, and hatred flowed from the angel's very pores. And for this he was exiled - sent to a remote island on the slowly-blossoming Earth to refind his faith.

His presence in heaven was missed by all, and Lucifer took it upon himself to find the angel. What he found shocked him.

On the island the angel had gone insane, allowing his hatred to flow and control him. He had harnessed the power of the most destructive of elements - fire - and razed the primitive human's villages, then mercilessly slayed the survivors with a magnificent blade Lucifer recognized as one of his own - how Dead got it is unknown, but it made him the first angel to commit the mortal sin of thievery. And murder.

Without confronting the angel, Lucifer withdrew from the island, and soon after flew in the face of God - and thus instigated the Great Fall. Only centuries later, after constructing his grand palace of eternal flame did he realize what his dark host missed - and within seconds had located it, right where it had been when he saw it last.

Dead was a terror in the south pacific, rising out of a volcano every ten years to ruthlessly destroy entire islands of primitive villagers. Over time he'd changed, his wings turning leathery and batlike, and his halo shattering - only to be replaced with small perfect horns jutting out of his forehead. The islanders said he was Death itself. Lucifer liked this, and thus confronted the angel.

It didn't take him long to convince him to join the legions of hell - the promise of slaughtering those which God loved more than he was enough for Dead - and soon the angel was commanding legions of demons and lesser angels to war. Occasionally he would reappear, once famously in a Christian church on Christmas eve. The church-goers howled that he was a fallen Seraphim, obviously Dead to the lord. Dead only laughed and killed them again and again, finally destroying the actual brick and mortar of the church in a fantastic explosion that ended up incinerating the entire village around it.

While the flames roared, Dead stood inside, his lips playing over the words of accusation the villagers had flung.

'Dead... Seraphim... Dead Seraphim...' His eyes narrowed, and an exaggerated grin twisted his beautiful face.

'I AM THE DEAD SERAPHIM,' he roared to the night.

Name: Archangel Metatron
Age: Immortal
Gender: Male
Species: Angel of God
Appearance: Metatron aceept on each arm he has a tattoo of two very diffrent swords. On his left arm is a shining white blade surrounded in a white flame with white feathers falling in front of it, and edge into the blade of this sword it says "Demon Hunter." This is a reminder to him of what he must do even against his fallen angel brethren. On his right arm there is a tattoo of a demonic blade with black fire dipped in blood, with the world "Angel Slayer." This is a reminder to him that if his loyalties to God should flinch what so ever, he could fall like his brothers and sisters did, and forever fall into the dark pits of hell.
Side: Heaven

Powers: As the holiest being second only to God, Metatron's powers are quite great. Metatron can use rune symbols, imbuing energies into inanimate objects, as well as using them to mark enemies, causing them great pain or whatever he pleases. He also has control over the elements. When he ascended to the rank as the King of Heaven, the elements joined with his body, giving him control over them. They flow in his veins and can be emitted from his body or summoned at any time. He doesn't have endless access to the elements, though. He eventually must rest or recharge. His physical strength on Earth is also quite impressive as well. The weapon that he uses is just a simple Katana, that is, to the untrained eye. Or the eye of a human. He has embued that sword with angelic symbols, strictly for keeping the sword sharp with out sharpening it himself and to make sure that it does not brake in the middle of a fight or crack or rust with time.

Personality: Because of the knowledge that was passed down to him from God himself, Metatron is serious and doesn?t always have fun as some might say, but once in awhile he likes to play a practical joke on his fellow angels. But having been King of the Angels has made him develop a problem with others giving him orders, or commanding his brethren. He is very protective of his fellow angels and he still respects his fallen brothers and sisters, but knows better then most that he still must do his work to make sure they can not do Lucifer?s bidding.

Biography: Metatron has many stories to his background, there are 2 versions to Metatron?s coming. One version is that he started out as an angel and was created as one of the most powerful angels, the 2nd version of his tale was that he was a human prophet who had visited heaven a few times before he ascended to level of archangel Metatron. His name as the prophet was Enoch, and he had spoken to God a few times before one night. That night 2 angels, Gabriel and Michael awoke him from his sleep and told him to prepare for his journey ahead of him, they showed him all around Heaven and the paradise people experienced and the place where the punishment for sinners was carried out, this was before Hell.

The angels then took him to God, Enoch also was a scribe, and God had him write all of his knowledge and prepared three hundred and sixty-six books. After Enoch and God had finished his work, God then revealed to him secrets of unimaginable proportions, secrets that even the angels didn?t know! These included the secrets of Creation, the duration of time the world will survive, and what will happen after its demise. At the end of these discussions, Enoch returned to earth for a limited time, to instruct everyone, including his sons, in all he learned. After thirty days, the angels returned him to Heaven. He then had ascended to the most powerful angel in the Kingdom of Heaven; he then became King of the Angels. A heavenly herald proclaimed that from then on his name would no longer be Enoch, but Metatron, and that all angels must obey him, as second only to God.

He had spent much time on the battle field as in the meeting rooms for their war plans against their fallen brothers and sisters, the time on the battlefield was wearing down his mind and very soul. He thought it was a terrible deed to kill fellow angels, but he saw it as a deed that must be done. After sometime his powers had begun to slowly fade from over use and so he spent a month recharging his abilities, it was too long for his liking. But because of his friend Gabriel, he had been informed of all the plans that were being developed while he had to stow away to charge, he could then create plans to foil their efforts over and over again. After long years of battling they finally thought of plan to get the upper hand on their opponents.

After they had gotten their chance, they were only able to stall the war and discuss their war plans with God, Metatron over heard God talking about Azrael and that Gabriel and a few others were going to find him. And after tireless searching from Gabriel and the other angels, he heard them say he was on earth and that they were going to find him or destroy him. Metatron had volunteered for this, since he knew the terrain so well and wanted to personally question Azrael and find out what he was up to for so long.

Name: Drew Gregeson

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Appearance: Here we are.

Side: Lucifer?s helper/slave

Powers: Drew, being as paranoid as he is, carries a backpack around with everything from a switchblade to .45 Millimeter Handgun. The contents depend on what mood he?s in. He usually carries his switchblade and a M800 Handgun. Just to be safe.

Personality: Drew is a schizophrenic. On the outside, you see a smile, and a wave. A normal greeting and an almost real conversation are all just a façade. Behind it, he?s analyzing you. Trying to find out your motive behind talking to him. He wants to know what secret you know of his, what thought you read. Every second that ticks by, he gets deeper into his self-thinking, unknown muscles or impulses running in his brain, as he decides whether you?re a threat.

Other times, you might try to talk to him, and all you?ll get is mumbles. Maybe you?ll walk away with a sense that he?s still talking to you. He?s not. They?re talking to with him, telling him things. Things they?ve seen, and things they know. Drew listens, and he talks with them. They?ve helped him before, and Drew never doubts that they?ll let him down now.

Biography: ?I was born. That?s easy to see. I grew up in a nice household. Dad went off to work. Mom stayed home and took care of the kids. Dad came home to dinner; I was there, we made pleasant conversation. It was the perfect normal life.

Things didn?t change when ?they? showed up. I still talked, I still ate, and I still smiled. I was still the perfect little boy. It was one night, when they heard me talking with ?them? that they began to suspect that I was anything other than perfect.

The doctor, he couldn?t and didn?t understand. There?s nothing wrong with me. So what if I know a couple of other people that talk to me? How does that make me crazy, or different from anyone else?? I said, standing up.

?Calm down Drew, there?s nothing to get worked up about. I?m not here to judge you. Just continue with the story.? The man across from me said.

?Well, I went to the doctor a bunch of times, I guess, to make my parents happy. I was still seeing the same doctor, before the incident.? I said, trailing off.

?What happened Drew? Your story keeps skipping. Stick to one subject and keep calm.? He said again.

His ******** about staying calm wasn?t helping at all.

?The incident. You want to know about the incident. You want to know why I attacked and almost killed him, don?t you? You want to know what was going through my mind when I pulled the knife. You want to know. Well, there?s not much to say. He approached me, I felt threatened, so I attacked. That?s it. There was no hidden motive, no secret to unlock. Why do you doctors always feel that what?s there on the outside isn?t what really happened. You?ve always got to find something to report about. Just let it go.? I said, standing up. ?We?re done.?

The doctor looked at me, and sighed. ?Drew, you have a problem. I just want??

That was it; this guy had crossed the line. I dashed across the room, and placed my hands around his throat. ?This is the kind of thing that gets people killed. Making assumptions based on what you think you know will not get you anywhere my friend. Now, I?m going to slowly let go. If this ever gets out, I will come for you. I don?t enjoy making threats, but hey, everyone?s gotta watch for the bug numero uno, eh?? I said, releasing the pressure. ?Good day, doctor.?

That was the last session I ever went to. The doctors could only look at me and see some problem, and they never really helped. After that, things seemed balance out between school and living. My world had seemed to finally fall back into order. It wasn?t until that fateful night a couple of months ago that anything changed?

I was walking home from work one night, and the voices began to converse with one another. It seemed normal enough, just talking about what happened during the day. I talked with them, laughed at a joke, and was in a good mood. I suddenly stopped when one voice began to get louder as the others.

?Drew, I need your help.? It said, obviously not one of the usuals.

?With what?? I asked, interested.

?Finding him. Azrael, he is the key.? The voice said.

?Azrael, is he an angel?? I asked, seeming interested.

The voice seemed taken aback, but quickly responded ?Yes, he?s disappeared, and finding him is my top prority.?

?And you are?? I asked.

I suddenly felt a rush of air, as the voice stood before me, in full regalia, wings and all. My mouth dropped open as he was eloped in a flash, and became a mere man. ?Lucifer.?

Okay, here's the deal. I have one person who PMed me to let me know they will be posting their character today. I had planned on closing sign-ups tomorrow, but that is going to be extended a few days. So far, I have 4 people signed-up for Fallen Angels, and only 2 for the Angels of God. I'm not sure if Corey is going to sign-up for God or for Hell, so I'm asking for a couple of people to give it a shot. Also, I have 2 people for the humans helping Hell; it would be nice to have someone to help the Angels of God. IF no one signs-up for that, it's not a big deal. I just wanted to give people the opportunity to be a human in the midst of all this.

So, if you wish to participate, please have your sign-up by Wed. 13th.

Name: Uriel
Age: Immortal
Gender: Male
Species: Angel of God
Appearence: Uriel is always cloaked in a white outfit, mainly a white trenchcoat, white gloves with white crosses outlined with silver thread, white long sleeve shirt, white khaki pants, and white boots. His eyes are a firey red since his name means "Fire of God" and his hair is a platinum blonde color. When he is fighting Uriel's wings unfurl and the feathers closest to his back are a firey red as well. His clothes are a fighting like robe with his firey sword in one hand.
Side: Heaven

Powers: Uriel usually focuses on using his sword or his fire and earth powers. His main element is Earth but since his name means Fire of God he was allowed to use the element of fire as well.

Sword of Eternal Fire: This is Uriel's companion since the day he was created by God. This weapon's blade is always on fire when in Uriel's hand and when he strikes an opponent down they burst into a white flame and are burnt to nothingness. This weapon can also be thrown at his opponent and when it impales its target the person or persons are burnt and the sword returns to Uriel's hand.

Mystic Quake: This spell will cause a 300 x 100 stretch of land and air to vibrate and rumble as if experiencing an earthquake. The rumbling and shaking is frightening and disorientating. This spell is mainly used as a get away spell, but Uriel will use it to destroy his surroundings if its necessary. Most airplanes caught in the path of this spell with feel as if they are experiencing a massive amount of turbulence and if Uriel does not dispell the encantation the aircraft will crash, but usually not destroyed.

Red Ray of Light: Being the coordinator of the ArchAngels as a material whole, Uriel was given powers to bring balance and order to the universe. Therefore this spell will allow Uriel to see into anyone's soul and see what needs to be harmonized and changed. This will in turn change a person's personality. While this may seem abusive in power, Uriel has only done this a few times and to people who have been horrible and they needed to be saved.

Personality: Uriel is a very lighthearted easy going than most of the other Arch Angels. When anyone has spoken to Uriel they are greeted joyfully and he always shakes hands or hugs the person. However Uriel has been known to get angry and when that happens the most any of the angels has gotten out of him were some strains of profanities towards whoever made him angry. Most of the time though, Uriel is happy.

However, his extreme joyfullness and extreme anger makes him look unprepared and immature to the other archangels in heaven, but they've been corrected when Uriel has gone into combat and returned victorious.

In his spare time though he is found writing poetry or playing a harp, flute, or a piano.

Biography: When the ArchAngels were made, God noticed that they were un-coordinated and the order and harmony of the universe were in need of being synchronized. So he made Uriel. When he made Uriel he gave him the main task of coordinating the ArchAngels as a material whole and to keep balance, harmony, and order in the universe. However this task was at first too large for the angel and he felt burdened by it. However, when Lucifer went against Heaven, Uriel tried to stop it by making the angels sit down and have both sides explain why they were fighting amongst each other. This in Uriel's mind was the best solution, other than getting god. However, the talks soon broke down amongst the parties and soon a fight broke out and the rest is written in history.

Since that happened, Uriel has felt responsible for what happened and asked god for his forgiveness, this was done but Uriel was then given a third duty. To become the Angel of Repentance. This third duty was to allow Uriel to, in god's place, forgive those who have sinned or strayed from their spiritual paths.

To this day Uriel is usually found on Earth most of the time forgiving sinners and setting them back on the correct path. He, in his mind, is doing this also to forgive himself for what happened with Lucifer and many of the fallen angels.

Name: Archangel Raphaelle

Age: Immortal, although she is one of the younger angels.

Gender: Neutral, appearing female.

Species: Angel of God

Appearance: White-blonde hair down to her ankles, with wide bright blue eyes. In Heaven, where she often stays, she dresses in long trailing white gowns, with ornate decorations, made of very soft material, often draping off her shoulders. Her hair is let down, but also very decorated with various ornaments and ribbons. She is small in comparison with the other Archangels, and delicately proportioned, appearing very fragile and doll-like. She has an almost childish face, heart-shaped, with pink pouting lips and a brush stroke of a nose, and pale porcelain skin. Her wings while also delicate, are magnificent, a brilliant white, with silver rings binding some of the feathers. On Earth, she dresses in a plain white summer dress, and has a bob hair cut reminiscent of the 1920's. Her wings obviously disappear, but everything else about her phsyical appearance remains the same, except for a splash of freckles, which appear.

Side: Heaven

Powers: As an elemental angel of air, she posseses powers over the skies and weather, both in Heaven and on Earth. She also has great powers of healing, which are enhanced by her compassionate and empathetic nature. Like Gabriel, she can also use telepathy. Although she does not often fight, when faced in battle, she uses a set of bells, ranging in sizes from 8 x 8 inches, to 1 x 1 inch, which, depending on which bells she rings and in which sucession, can paralyze, poison, put to sleep, wound, confuse, and even kill her enemy. There are six of these bells, named from smallest to largest, Obyn, Gaen, Kalil, Irieal, Etsukae, and Mi. The bells can also be used for other purposes, such as to to heal, or send an angel, demon, or human, from one place to another, and sometimes even between Heaven, Earth, and Hell.

Personality: Raphaelle is shy, kind, and naive by nature. She is perhaps the sweetest of the angels, and the most trusting. She loves her fellow angels, and is deeply saddened by the ones who have fallen. She is enamoured of God, and is frequently found by his side. Heaven is truly her home, and she does not like to leave to travel to Earth, although she knows that it is sometimes her duty. When she must go to Earth, her shyness turns into reclusiveness, and she often becomes bitter by all the deciet, apathy, greed, destruction, and hedonistic practices and beliefs that exist there. It is this bitterness that fuels her desire to fight the fallen angels, because she believes that they have turned not only from God, but from goodness itself, and that they now worship and are worshipped in the evil temples on Earth. Raphaelle is also very humble, and only fights when she is called on by God to do so, because as much as she incensed by the things she sees on Earth, she knows it is not her duty to judge or give punishment.

Biography: Raphaelle was the last of the four elemental archangels to be created, after Gabriel, Micheal, and Uriel, and is thus the youngest. Although wise in her infinite years, it remains the wisdom of a child, and she is also incredibly innocent. God granted her the most beautiful voice of all the angels, and it was her voice that always sounded it out high and clear when the choir sang. She was beloved not only of God, but of all angels, and was still cherished even by Lucifer and his followers when they began to question God. During the time of The Great Fall, Raphaelle's up until then completely pure view of existence became forever tainted, and although she still retained her naive perception of life, she was plagued with visions from the battlefield, knowing how Lucifer's own greatness and pride had eventually betrayed him and lead to his fall from grace. She had been introduced to the idea then of evil, and of sin.

At first, God kept her away from the fighting, knowing that the beauty of her child-like and utterly trusting nature would be shattered, at least temporarily, if she was allowed to see the horrible slaughter of those she had loved deepy, who had been her elder brothers and sisters. However, the fighting eventually became very intense, especially when Azrael left the side of God. It was then that he called on her, and bestowed upon her her set of bells, while simple and indescript in apperance, held a terrible power. He then sent her to the battlefield, and she, enforced with the powers of God, made an awful, but beautiful song, banishing her brother Azrael from the Heavens, and throwing him down to Earth, a fallen and lost angel. With the last notes of the song, she sang out a curse, "The Breath of God", stripping from him his immortality and power.

Raphaelle returned from the fight, with hollow stare in her eyes and an empty soul. Although Azrael had always been a black sheep among God's beloved, before the The Great Fall, she had loved and adored him, awed by his power and devotion to God, even she even idolized him somewhat. She often spent a great deal of time with Azrael, telling him stories that she had heard from other angels, first of Heaven and creation, and later that of man. When she banished and cursed Azrael, part of her soul died, and she was, in some ways, as lost as he. God, in act of mercy, and as a reward for her show of utter devotion, wiped her memory of Azrael, and of his banishment. She soon returned to her innocence and joyful nature, but she was still changed, and never quite as pure as she had been before The Great Fall. Although God erased her memory, in a sense, it had been bonded with such love in her heart and soul, that the most he could do was force it to lie dormant, hoping it would not awaken.

However, He knew that she would be drawn to Azrael, out of love and out of the tragedy of when they last parted ways, and could possibly find him, wherever he was. She would be of great use to Gabriel in so doing, so he sent her down with Gabriel, giving her the mission of collecting the souls of stillborn children, who were often very confused in death, and to ease their passing between Earth and Heaven with her bells. Although she felt out of place on Earth, and longed to return to Heaven, she felt deep sorrow for the children, and accepted her mission dutiful and determined. And it was during her years on Earth that she eventually found him, so to speak, by discovering the dear Dr. Allington.

OOC: 1) I'll try to add a picture later.
2) I hope you don't mind the gender change.
3) Yes, I got the bells idea from the book Sabriel.

Name: Raziel (Archangel of Mysteries)

Age: Immortal

Gender: Gender Neutral (appears male)

Species: Angel of God

Appearance: White hair with dark eyebrows. On Earth he's clad in a pair of loose fitting black jeans with pentacles (his symbol) stitched into the knees in sky-blue thread, heavy black boots, and a plain black t-shirt. Offsetting the rest of his wardrobe, he often wears a white trench coat (with a large sky-blue pentacle on the back) with matching fedora. In heaven he wears a robe of a billowing grey substance, almost liquid in appearance, giving him the illusion of not always being completely corporeal. His wings are sky-blue and extremely large, as is his stature. He has a golden aura around his head.

Side: Heaven

Powers:
Current Manipulation- In Heaven, Raziel has the immense power to alter the currents of spiritual energy that flow through everything and everyone, angel, demon, and man. He can manipulate them to heal, harm, or alter the image or makeup of anything. He can change water to wine. Sapling to star. Rock to river. Life to death. He used this power frequently during The Great Fall whilst fighting to save his domain, Neptune. On Earth, these powers remain, but are lessened. Without the constant flow of pure spiritual energy, the toll of using this power is much more taxing.

Observation- Raziel stands at the curtain separating God from the rest of creation and writes down everything he hears. He has the uncanny ability to listen to everything at once, no matter how much is going on, and remember it all.

Inspire- Being the cherubim guardian of Originality and the Realm of Pure Ideas, Raziel radiates an aura of inspiration. Conclusions are reached faster, and ideas are discovered quicker in his presence. Unfortunately, it's a universal aura, effecting both friend and foe. Power is lessened on Earth, down to his immediate area.
Personality: Raziel tries his best to be the impartial notary he's supposed to be, writing down every single thing he hears at the curtain between God and creation, but after The Great Fall, he's been prone to letting his emotions get the better of him. He is an extremely composed angel, very rarely losing his head. Compassionate and protective of his fellow angels. He is slow to speak and always thinks before he acts. Raziel is the possessor of an amazing amount of information on the mysteries of the universe, but he's humble to a fault, using the information to help rather than belittle like the humans of Earth. He dislikes fighting, but is very apt at it, and therefore does it without question when God commands it of him. When on Earth, Raziel has a curious streak, actually being able to experience what he's been logging since time began. This can sometimes distract him, but very rarely.

Biography: Since he was made, Raziel stood by Almighty God cataloguing every bit of information that went on around his Throne. Raziel, the Archangel of mysteries, has in his mind a staggering amount of information on all matters secret, arcane, and mysterious; this knowledge stemming from his constant post at the curtain separating God from all of Creation. He hears and notes every bit of it. When Adam and Eve ere expelled from Eden, Raziel took pity on them and handed them his tome (The Book of the Angel Raziel) which contained everything he'd ever written, including the 1,500 keys to the secrets of the universe. The other angels stole it from Adam and threw it into the sea. God, instead of punishing Raziel, commanded Rahab (also know as Leviathan) to retrieve it, and give it back to Adam. The book eventually passed to the profit Enoch, who would become the Archangel Metatron.

Raziel was one of the first Angels to know of the decent of Lucifer, being in the constant presence of God. He wrote that chapter in his book with a feeling of impending doom. God is infallible, and to go against Him is to incur His holy wrath. And that's exactly what happened.

When The Great Fall began, Raziel turned from his post, at the command of God, and ventured to his domain of Neptune to hold off it's invasion. He fought tirelessly against the demonic hordes for thousands of years, shedding his former comrades blood on the blue-green fields of his portion of the heavens. For thousands of years he fought, and died a bit more with each kill. He was not meant to fight, but his powers made him a very able defender. His place was near his lord, writing down His infinite wisdom and the events that transpired in His domain.

After the war, Raziel thankfully returned to his tome, and began serving his lord the way he liked best. The search for Azreal spanned millennia, and Raziel was there to log it with every report God received. When he was finally discovered, the thing Raziel feared most became reality. God has asked him to go to Earth with the others and search out the newly formed 'Mechanical Angel'. There would be bloodshed. There would be death. But, after, there might finally be peace.

Name: Johana Marilin ("Jo")
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Appearance: [ Johana ]
Jo has long light brown hair and dark brown eyes. She stands around 5'8" and usually is seen wearing her martial arts outfit or a sweater with shorts.
Side: God (Heaven)
Powers: A katana hidden in a white shealth and she also carries what appears to be a bamboo stick with two blades on the ends.
Personality: Jo is a very complex person. She is definately compassionate about things such as destiny and love, and relies on her emotions to sort things out. She has a big heart and cares about others before herself, and is always willing to lend a helping hand. However she has few flaws that come in such as she tries to be a perfectionist and has quite a temper when she does not have her way. She is very respectful, graceful and has a strong will. This does not make her the perfect girl for she still makes mistakes and often sometimes her naiveness in others can get her into trouble. She hangs on to childish beliefs and dreams and is not as stern and realistic as most are. Her bravery could also be seen to some as stupidity.
Biography:
Dear God,
Mother and Father were arguing again today, sometimes I wish he wouldn't even visit at all. Of course I don't get to see my brother, I haven't for the past year and a half because he's so "busy" all the time. I hate how they use us as trophies, like we were some kind of prize from the divorce. But anyways, I have something important to tell you, but I'm sure you already know. Something amazing happened God. I got to meet you. Do you remember how we met?

I was on my way to my best friend Susanna's house like I always do, when I decided to take a shortcut to the park. I had never been through there and had always wondered what it looked like. As I was strolling through the park, I noticed a man arguing with a young girl around the age of 15, his face was full of anger and hate. As you know, I've been taking a lot of martial art classes lately, so you could say I had needed the practice. It's not as if this jerk didn't deserve it. I walked up to him and asked him what his problem was, and guess what he did? Spat right in my face. So what did I do? Well, I spat right back. Then he started to try to touch me.

Do you believe that!? I was so angry, I had punched him the gut and gave him a kick where it hurt. The girl thanked me and quickly ran away. It probably wasn't the smartest thing to do to knock him unconcious, but it sure felt good. Hopefully that taught him a lesson. But thats not the amazing thing that happened. Shortly after the fight with that man, a homeless man came up to me. He had a wierd grin on his face and chuckled softly. I never heard a bum laugh before. He kept complimenting me and following me. Everywhere I walked, he would follow. It seemed I could not get rid of him, until one time I turned around, and he was standing right infront of my face.

I had never been a believer of god, infact, after my parent's divorce is when I stopped believing. I've had a bad past and never expected to meet him myself. But before me stood a light so bright that I had to cover my eyes to see it. And what I say was a reflection of a man.....the man................God himself. The task I was given would soon change my life forever.
