I was wondering, do you all really go to bed that late? lol I know that on a school night I'm asleep by midnight. I just can't get up at 8 in the morning if I've gone to bed late. I'm not a morning person. When I've got no school or work the next day, however, I usually end up in bed by 4 in the morning, hehe. Sometimes I'm out late partying (usually I sleep at someone elses house to avoid parents while I'm crunk) while other times I just sit on my computer for hours until I can't keep my eyes open anymore (I blame OB for this, more specifically: tehsillycircus). So what are your sleeping patterns? Do you go to bed early and wake up late? Vice versa? What helps you fall asleep at night when you can't on your own?[/COLOR][/FONT]

It includes tomatoes and onions and a variety of other things. It's really quite mouth-watering. Apparently my Dad's mother used to make it all the time so it at least goes back one generation. I don't think my Nana got it from her mom, though. Probably a friend or something, haha. Kind of sucks with all these food places nowadays family recipes are becoming less and less common. :([/COLOR][/FONT]

I started re-watching the episodes (starting with Adventure, of course) in Japanese for the sake of nostalgia and they really stand up to the test of time (8 years, but oh well). When Digimon first came out I was like 7-9 years old and I fell in love with it. My brother is 5 years older then me (making him 22) so he never got into the whole Anime craze (he never liked cartoons, anyway). But recently I managed to get him to start watching Season 1 (in english) and he [i]likes it[/i]! It's amazing! Granted the fact that his girlfriend happened to grow up with Digimon helped to get him to watch it but after the first episode he was hooked regardless. It just goes to show that Digimon is 10 times better then any episode of Pokemon. Sometimes I wish I could just slip into the Digital World. :animesigh Has anyone else found that the Japanese version isn't quite as childish as the english dub? A_M, your poem is excellent in that it has good imagery and just the way you've written it seems very professional. Now I have never heard of Dixieland, unfortunately, so I can't relate to that part of the poem at all but I can still relate to the piece as a whole with or without Dixieland. Darren, you took an interesting approach at the topic in that the person is going over their dream vacation in their head. I think this is a great idea and it's pretty original given that your topic was simply "Vacation." This is a tough call but I'm going to have to go with [B]Aaryanna_Mom[/B]. [FONT="Tahoma"][COLOR="DimGray"]Something I've been thinking about for a while since I started re-watching the first season (in Japanese, ftw!) is the crests. I know I let us all pick our own (Passion, Memory and Luck) but I realize now that none of those really work. The whole point of the crest is it's the DigiDestined's [i]main[/i] personality trait. Example, Joe is cowardly, intelligent and responsible but above all he is [i]reliable[/i]. His crest is reliability. If you watch the first season from the beginning (especially if you've seen it all before) you really notice that each characters trait comes out from the very beginning. From Matt being worried about finding his friends to Takeru always having hope. So, because of all of this I would like to give the Chosen Children another chance to change our crests (this includes myself). If it means you have to re-write your character a bit then so be it. If you feel that your current crest fits fine and you can RP your character while keeping that trait in mind in all their actions then you can do that. I know I am changing Rem's though. Since it'll be a while before we actually get our tags you have a while to decide on a crest. Rem will probably be either Truth or Justice. Aceburner, you can change Russ' since Zen hasn't been participating. [b]EDIT:[/b] Also, I had another thought. Since things seem to be getting a little confusing with the Digimon and DigiDestined being controlled by two different members what do you guys think about just everyone being a Chosen Child with their own Digimon? We don't have to, I just want to know what you guys think.[/COLOR][/FONT]

You did more then just write about a desert and included other things that made the poem a lot more interesting. The love that ties the speaker and the person they love is the same love between the speaker and the desert (that's how I percieved it, anyway) and I thought that was very well done. [b]Rachmaninoff[/b], your poem starts off well. You did an excellent job of describing the desert and everything it encompasses. I especially enjoyed the fourth line of the first stanza. Meddling human hands seems so appropriate. You guys make this very hard for me. I enjoyed how both of you were able to write about the dryness of the desert and also fit in the fact that it rains there once in a while. It seems like at some parts you were writing and couldn't think of a rhyme so you looked one up and tried to make a sentence fit. If this ever happens to you again, I would suggest re-writing the quatrain in a different way. Also be weary of how many syllables are in each line. If the first one has let's say... 5 and the next one has 10 then it sounds very chunky. It's nice to see your poem actually follows a basic story line. It gives the piece a nice depth (even if the story can be contradicting at parts). If one were to further examine it, they may find deeper meanings to things they overlooked when first reading it. [b]Aaryanna[/b], your rhymes are pretty well done. Each one flows well to the next. The little alliteration at the end of the poem ("Serene Sierras") does a good job of creating an image in my mind. While your descriptive words were certainly good and I could really feel the persons passion for those rockies, I think that [i]all[/i] you were doing was just describing mountains leaving your poem a little creative-less (I don't even think that's a word but oh well). [spoiler]However that's not enough to overlook Prem's long running sentences and forced rhymes[/spoiler] so my vote goes to [spoiler]Aaryanna[/spoiler].[/COLOR][/FONT]

He thought he had just fallen right through the ground but now that he looked out the device and examined it he remembered it fell from the sky, he grabbed it and then he ended up here. Just at that moment all three Digivices lit up and the sky darkened. Three multi-coloured beams of light shot down from above and landed on the three In-Training Digimon. "Gigimon digivolved to..." he started growing bigger and let out two long arms, strong legs and a tail. "Pyro Sphere!" It hit the Adult Digimon's wing causing it to start falling to the ground. "Good job, Guilmon! Now it's my turn." Veemon yelled. His charged at Yanmamon full force. "Vee Headbutt!" Yanmamon shifted to the side to dodge but Veemon still nicked his tail, spiraling the flying insect into a tree. Everyone sat quietly, expecting the Adult Digimon to get back up and attack. Rem let out a yelp as he jumped up into the air, causing the monster to laugh and yelp with him. In fact, it was speaking English. "Yeah! Haha! You're here, you're here!" it jumped excitedly. "Rem! Rem!" At that point Rem stopped screaming and stared blankly at the creature in front of him. It was obvious that it didn't mean any harm and was just a child. But how did it know his name? "Excuse me..." Rem trailed off. "Kokomon." it said. "Right, Kokomon. Do you have any idea where I am?" seeing as [i]Kokomon[/i] seemed completely unaware of the strange surroundings, Rem figured it was native to wherever he is. "This is the Digital World!" Kokomon was more then happy to answer questions. "Okay. I have no idea what that means." Rem was about to ask another question when he heard a rustle in the bushes. He quickly picked up a stick from off the ground and readied to throw it at anything that popped out.
