Round Over (again) The round is now over! Kitty will advance to Round 4 with 1 point more than Aaryanna. Great job to both of you. :)

Yeah, the link is right on the front page. Anyways, in case you didn't catch the re-run on Friday at 7pm, there will be another re-run tommorow (Sunday the 1st) at 6:00pm on MITV (I'm pretty sure that's its name). You can always double check if you want. But you might not be able to get it since MITV is channel 318 (or 317, I forget). Definitely taping it for my friends to watch. =] EDIT: It's also on Sunday at 7PM on Global.

Hey, XWykesX. You know I already sent you a PM about your first post but I guess you didn't really listen. I'm going to repeat myself once more.. Please, read the Rules. Your post quality isn't up to the standards. I suggest using this to spell check your posts. You seem to forget to capitilize your I's and indent your paragraphs. Thanks! White

I was just thinking about this and I thought I'd ask all of you. What are your opinions on Twilight Princess launching in December for the Gamecube? The Wii is coming out November 19th (with Twilight Princess as a launch title) which leaves 10-30 days between the launch of the GCN version and the launch of the Wii version. Personally I don't think it was necessary to spread out the dates but at the same time I just don't give a damn. It's obviously just Nintendo's way of trying to get more people to buy a Wii. I know a few people who were angry about this and I'm curious about your opinions.

Hey, queenbakura. While your introduction post isn't horrible, it still doesn't seem to have had much effot put into it. In the future please add more detail to your posts. When creating a Game Thread it always helps to link to articles, videos and screenshots of the game to get the ball rolling. Saying "This game is coming out and I'm excited. Thoughts?" doesn't exactly push for good quality discussion. Here you can see a good example of how to start a game thread for a game that isn't out yet. You should also read The Play it Rules before making another thread. Thanks! - White Edit: After thinking about it a bit, I decided it would be alright to leave this thread open and see if it gets good replies. Just be careful because I will be watching it like a hawk. Please PM myself or Bombu if you have any questions.
But I wasn't talking about a physical transformation, just mental. I agree that it's not that original for a superpower, but it's uncanny that they decided to have a similar looking woman with a similar power as my character in Hero. My mind can't even think about all the possibilities what this might tell about the nature of world. One thing comes to mind, though: that there might be a limited amount of ideas...
The way they did the Stripper's power was really cool, what with the audience remembering as much as she does. The similar look is just chance, I'm sure hair colour may have been picked out, but everything else just came with the actress. And you're right, there are only so many powers out there to choose from. It's hard to be original when people have been writing stuff like this for a few hundred years.
-
I seriously freaked out a little bit inside when I heard about this show a few days back, because it reminded me so much about Hero! It's just a quirky coincidence, I know, but I can't help but to find it scary that one of the characters of this Heroes is a blonde woman with a murderous alterego - just like my character, Viveca, in Shy's Hero! 8(
You say that as if the murderous alterego power is original, lol. The Incredible Hulk anyone?

Okay, to get this ball rolling I've thrown in a few weak enemies. This is where your powers will get a little bit stronger. Remember that the enemies are still just normal people so it doesn't take a whole lot to kill them. Currently, Liam, Coco and Rorita are staying in the tent. The rest of you can go out and fight. Try not to make the powers too strong yet as we're only just beginning. Also, Water and Metal still have not joined us in the group. Now is your chance to do so. P.S. In case you're wondering about what Rorita is doing, she is healing Liam's wounds. Sorry Sandy, for taking control of your character like that but it was kind of needed, heh.

Cody laughed at the girl and Coco and patted Rorita on the shoulder. "Actually, I think you have power over Nature, Rorita." Rorita replied with a smile and got back onto her feet. Cody looked at his friend Coco. "So why don't you show them your power, Coco?" he smirked. Coco looked down and blushed a little bit. "Shut up, dude. You know it's too bright out." he said, covering his finger with a fist. He noticed everyone was looking at him so he decided to just explain the power rather than show them. "Alright, basically when it's dark out my finger shines like a flashlight. Obviously I've got the power of light." he finished. Everyone nodded and turned to someone else, but before the other three kids in the group could show their own powers, a loud growl came from the sky. Everyone looked up and saw nothing. Right as they were lowering their heads again, three arrows wizzed past their faces and stuck into the playground behind them. The Elements ducked down for cover and scrambled over to a large plastic tent meant for kids. "What the hell?!" yelled Cody. He had his hands over his head, as if that would stop an arrow from piercing it. Rorita was looking through a little peep hole in the tent and whispered to the whole group when she saw something. "They're here," she said, grabbing everyone's attention. "Three men dressed in black cloaks with bows. They're faces are covered but they look to be in their mid-twenties." "What are they doing?" asked Coco. "Just standing there. They want to fight." There was silence. Nobody dared say anything, but they were all thinking the same. "We have to fight--" Coco said. "Are you nuts?!" interrupted Shisto. "How are we supposed to fight three men with bows and arrows? We have no weapons!" "I disagree." said Liam. He jumped out of the plastic tent and ran towards the three hooded men. Just as they drew back their arrows, he stuck out his hand and when he went to activate a small fire he ended up doing much more than that. A huge flame engulfed one of the men and he fell to the ground, charred. Everyone stared in awe at Liam, the fire elemental. But amongst all the excitement, Liam had forgotten there were still another two archers. Two arrows broke his skin, one in the calf and another in his chest. He fell to the ground. Coco yelled out to his friend and jumped out of the plastic barrier, running towards the body of Liam. Just before two more arrows were fired, this time at Coco, he stuck out his hand an immense bright light flashed at their eyes. They both fell to their knees, grabbing their eyes. They didn't regain their sight until Coco was safe back in the barricade. Quickly, Rorita pulled the arrow and placed her hand on the wound. It seemed as though she was doing all of this without thinking and the rest stared at Liam. Without thinking, Cody jumped to his feet. "Fuck this," he said. "We have to fight. Did you see what Liam did? Before he could only make a small flame but it seems that his anger activated a bigger part of his power... what do you guys say?" "I'll stay here with Rorita and Liam," Coco replied. "I'm actually kind of dizzy after that burst of light so I won't be much use anyway." "Shit!" yelled Shisto, who was now looking out the peephole. "There are five more of them now..."

Sara's been doing that as well. And someone else, I don't remember who, had it in big red letters. I think you're all horrible, horrible people.
Well, actually Arvi had it long before Sara did. It was in his signature before Des even posted the thread. :p I remember I sent him this PM a while ago.
I'd just like to say that you are a jerk. I was playing The Game with a friend and we had been going for a few days now, but because of your banner... I lost. ;-;
That was March 22nd.

Fifteen minutes into the show Papa Smurf here PMs me and says "Heroes on NBC=
swearword!
amazing and it's only 15 minutes into the premiere." ...and I am thankful for that. As soon as I got the message I flipped on the TV beside me and checked it out as Heroes was something I had taken interest in when I saw the commercial, but forgot about. The first person I saw was Hiro, and I fell in love. With the character, that is. I fell in love with all the characters, actually. Each one has special characteristics that make them loveable and they're just so easy to relate to, in one way or another. But that's not even what was cool about the show! The coolest part was the different powers each person discovered (or was discovering). I won't say a lot since I really encourage you all to see it for yourselves but damn were they awesome.

Alright guys, this is getting a little bit out of hand. I realize that all of you love Devil May Cry but it just seems like none of you are putting any effort into your posts. Could you please maybe write more than 3 sentences? Also, LilyBebeboo, that link is not related to the actual game. Something like that would go in the Anime Lounge since it's anime. If you need help, just PM one of the Anime Lounge moderators to see what is and isn't allowed there.

Welcome to OtakuBoards, shuichi2cute! Here at OtakuBoards we try to keep post quality fairly high. Unfortunately, your post doesn't meet the standards that we outline in the rules. Try giving a little more information about the games you bought and why you liked or disliked them. You should also read the Play It Rules and the Official Rules before posting again. Thanks! - White

I hope you kept your PSD files because I'm changing the rules a tad bit. You can now change the contrast/brightness (and all that goofy stuff) of the image, ASWELL as the opacity (if you so wish). Have fun! Just so everyone knows, voting for Round 3 is now open to the whole community. I encourage you guys to persuade your friends into taking a look. EDIT: Also, the voting will end on the 30th of September. I didn't mention that before because up until today nobody even voted. If there's a tie, I will vote as the tie-breaker.

You mean a layout? If so, follow these simple instructions:
1) Make your design in some sort of art program (mine tend to be 400 something by 500 something). Click here for an example. Keep in mind that the HTML will automatically add it's own border (if you so choose) and the image repeats itself vertically if there is a lot of text. 2) Just insert the URL of your image (I suggest ImageShack for uploading) into where I say and the text into where I say and you're done. Here's the code:
YOUR TEXT GOES HERE. vBCode is still enabled inside of here so you can still use tags such as , , [b], and .
3) Just a tip; make the background nice but simple, if it's too busy then it just makes reading the text annoying.
Hopefully that was the answer you were looking for. :whoops:

I'm going to say you play the piano because I know you're asian, I know you have a brother and someone already guessed the teeth. Whoo!

Well, no offense but I had no problem figuring out how to beat number 12. I started the fight,
ducked under the water so his attacks wouldn't hurt me, swam to his back, saw the fur, climbed to his head, striked the rocks and found out that they steer him and then jumped off onto one of the circular platforms when his head was near one.
I just beat
Gorilla Man
and I'm currently trying to find the final Colossi. I think
I have to go around the area that the first Colossi was found, but I keep on getting trapped in a forest
. Oh well, I found some fruit while I was there. >_
-
As I type, I am fighting the Fifteenth Colossus. But that's besides the point. What is it with everyone and thinking the Twelfth Colossus was hard? He was one of the simplest and easiest Colossi in the game. It took
like 30 seconds to get on its back, and then another 10 seconds to run up his back and onto his head. Once there I just guided him to a pillar thing, jumped off, made him slam his fists down and jumped onto his weak point. Easy as pie.

I'm borrowing my friends PS2 and another friends copy of the game just because they both said it rocks that much. And they're right. Now, I'm only halfway through the game (
Currently struggling with the giant tortoise
) but it's already earned its way to my top ten favourite games list. The way that it makes you think rather than just running up to the beast and hacking away is really great. Actually, I think what I like most about this game is figuring out how to get onto their fur. There's just something about that new music blasting and the satisfaction of knowing you've tricked a colossus that really gets you.
I was especially fond of how you had to trick the Fourth Colossus, lol.
GAH! *goes to play some more*

In case you didn't already know, Wii.com has put up a new channel video. The Photo Channel. Basically you can upload images and videos onto the Wii and edit them. At first I thought the image editing program would just be something fun like MSPaint, but after watching it I realized it's a little bit more than that. Granted, you can't create a masterpiece on it, but it looks like it'll be useful for those times you can't get to a computer.
I thought about you, but I assumed the overseer of the event wouldn't have been the answer to a riddle D: And unless a shyguy is a grim and gritty assassin (o_O), then I don't know what that part referred to.
I actually said almost the exact same thing to Shy. It's a reference to his Kill Adam character.

The last game I bought that wasn't for the PC was... Animal Crossing: Wild World for the DS. I've kind of reached the end of my AC:WW phase but I'll try my best to describe it's greatness without getting bored. Basically you play as a civilian in your very own community (which you get to name). You can do so much stuff that it would be hard to name it all, but I'll try. You can plant trees and flowers, you can dig holes to bury money and other stuff, you can interact with other town people (NPCs) or friends (visit their town and talk to them and their fellow townies), you can participate in loads of events (fireworks shows, bug catching contest, fish catching contests to name a few), and tons of other stuff. I actually bought this game with my DS Lite along with Tao's Adventure (which sucks, by the way) and I'm rather happy with my investment. Although my hype only lasted about a month, I'm sure it'll come back sometime soon. In fact, *picks up DS Lite*.

My father's official occupation is a Clergy. But really, who uses that word anymore? Mainly people just call him Pastor or Reverend. He works at a Pentecostal (Christian) Church in Ontario (which my whole family goes to) that normally has about 300+ guests Sunday Mornings. He's the Senior Pastor (there is also an Assistant Pastor and a Youth Pastor) and preaches a sermon 3/4 times a month. My mom is the Manager of a Christian Book Store near where we live (the church is about 20 minutes away). They sell more than just books, though. Stuff like CDs, Video's, Posters and Jewelry could all be found there. There you go, hehe.

Yeah, I've seen that video before and I love it to death. I've tried persuading my friends to do it at our school but they just won't bite. Ah, well. It's hillarious to watch anyway. There's another video similar to this on YouTube called Mario Themes - Marimba. Basically it's three guys and one girl playing different Mario tunes with a Marimba and a Drum Kit. Tons of fun. I'd really like to do either of these at a school talent show, but like I said earlier not enough people I know are willing. They just want to do that stupid singing one. >_>"

Writing O' Brother not another, OB parody! [PG-13-LS}
Ellerby replied to Aberinkula's topic in Creative Works
If the comma was deliberate, then wouldn't it be something else? Like a colon or period? Ah well. And yeah, I typed out "Spll" instead of "Spell." But that's a typo, not a spelling error (I guess I really should have used SpellCheck.net first before telling him to, but it's not like I was posting a story chapter or anything).
