On the premise that this thread doesn't die like all the rest, I'll be posting all my most recent sketches, banners and avatars, and photography (mostly around school). ---- Here's a sketch I did of Jonathan Radtka of Kill Hannah at school, then shaded (if you can call it that) with charcoal pencil at home. Just to let you know, I'm not the neatest person, especially when it comes to shading at night. But I would appreciate comments to know what I can improve on. And don't mind the text, I have infinitely bad hand writing.

Personally, I cel shade most of the time or I use pencil, be it charcoal or lead. I had a tutorial on cel shading somewhere, but I seem to have lost it. Oh well. I'd suggest getting a pen or VERY fine black marker, CAREFULLY inked your sketch, then deciding what you want to do. If nothing else, you'll have some good line art to work with later. If you haven't noticed just by looking at my sig or reading my journals, I have this new found love for Kill Hannah. Not many people may have heard of them yet, but one of my friends on a street team gave me a sticker. With a lack of anything better to do, I took a look at their site and listened to 'They Can't Save Us'. After a bit of thinking and oggling at them, I realized I heard them on MTV2 with their video 'Kennedy'. Now, I'd like to know what the members of OB think. Give your reviews of Kill Hannah please.

All of your art is not only cute, but very well shaded. Not only are you better than any artist, expect one or two, at your age that I've ever known (we were all to busy being sucked into that void known as *NSYNC), but you're letting people see it. Now, I must go pray to some higher power to grant me powers of shading that rival yours! ...Or maybe I'll just go do my homework...

As much as I love Kill Hannah, that banner makes me want to get back into the Gorillaz. I've always loved their music and videos. Okay, point: I like how you used so many different images and managed not to make the banner look overcrowded. But the white behind their logo kind of takes away from the banner. Rating: 9/10

She hid fom them, of course, but stayed were she was just out of sight and could still see them. She marveled at their ruthlessness and precision, sure that if she were one of them, no one would make fun of her again. As they left, she followed closely behind them to find their base of operations. Once she was sure she could find it again, she returned home, claiming to have run away during the attack. Several months later, on her tenth birthday to be exact, she returned to the strike team's base and claimed she had vital information for them. When she was sure they wouldn't betray her, she told them all she knew of her home, nearby hiding places, and plans of rebellion. After this betrayal, she knew she could never return home and became the strike team's personal gopher (or is it go-for?). Over the years, she pulled herself through the team's ranks, despite her age and lack of strength.

Okay, I've been working on this comic for an English project for about a week. Over the past weekend, I brought a set of charcoal pencils. Katana: Weird's my middle name, right after Denise. Queen Asuka: I didn't notice your art before, but I must say I love it! Everything from the hair, to the folds in the clothes to all the little ribbons looks absolutely perfect! Anyways, an update. I've been getting a lot of projects lately, one of them being to draw a comic for a medieval ballad. I choose 'Get Up and Bar the Door', which, if anyone's read it, is pretty funny and ironic to me. My comic's a bit...chibi. And it was my first try at both a comic and chibis. My favourite character would have to be the cat. It eats puddings (sausages) and takes bets on domestic disputes. ^______^ So much like my own little ball of fur.

Funny in a wierd sort of way. Just the way I like it. Seems I have the same kind of problem with my favourite CDs. Makes me wonder.

Boring lives call for extrordinary banners. If I had to make a list of great OB banner makers, you'd definitely be near the top, probably right after Sky3. Hey, that's not a bad idea...

Your banners are all really good, especially since they were done in Paint and are your firsts. But the Hurricane could have used a bigger logo and the whole quote. All in all, I say half a thumb up, which is good since the best is a thumb. If you got a hail of obscenities, then I'd be worried.

I think you did especially well considering 1, It was during school and 2. It was during English, which I consider nap time ^_^. Anyways, I love the wave detail and colours and the sunset (that is a sunset, right?). You shouldn't call this crap. I've seen much worse.

Usually, I don't use more than two pics and one is always much lighter than the other, but that's what she wanted. I like this one much more. I didn't realize until after I finished that the text was a bit hard to read, but it says 'Dark Daze and Bright Knights'. I don't really know what inspired that, it just was what I thought up after finishing. Edit: Forgot to say the first banner had three pics, not two.

Since the fall sports season has ended and Halloween is for the most part over for me, I've had time to make banners and avatars, as well as draw and such. This one is something I made for a friend whose madly in love with Kenshin. I tried telling her he's only a cartoon, but she just won't listen. Enjoy anyways. I live in a small borough called Yeadon (Suburbia), Pennsylvania. It's really close to Philly, but I spend more time in Springfield, Drexel Hill, Darby, Upper Darby, and Lansdowne than anywhere else.

Speaking of SNES and Sega, I think I forgot to mention those two. I recently revisited my SNES and after become acquainted to the RPGs and fighting games of PSone and PS2, I couldn't finish a simple game of Super Mario Bros. or Yoshi's Cookie. I used to love those games and play them constantly. I think it's time to pay them another visit.

I'm a soprano 2 but I'd much rather be an alto 1. I don't know about the whole funding thing. We do have a computer lab now, with keyboards (musical ones) and such, but we don't get a lot of funding. We did get Handel's 'Messiah' with a state grant though! ^_^ I can't really say much about it going to other programs, since, being the over-achiever I am, am involved in two sports and just about every club in school. But I can say that funding is nowhere even close to equal. Oh, if anyone out there is bored and can play the piano, PM me. I need to practice for a solo audition thingy. All my friends in orchestra backed out all this week... ~_~

"Oh, nothing, he's just seemed kinda lonely and I wanted to cheer him up if I could and I think I kinda know what's going on but I don't really know, ya know?" She looked at him expectantly. "Uhhh...yeah, right..." Adam let her continue to talk, knowing it was what she did everyday.

My favourite scent is Knoel (a guy), but Malik (another guy) comes in a close second. Real scents? I'd have to say Cumbermellon and Sweet Pea from Bath and Body Works.
