1. OOC: Aha! I knew everyone would get mad at me for posting that! Kaze looked at the young girl next to him, she seemed scared, and the healer who had rushed out must have been the man next to her on the beach. He turned away, wondering what had just happened... He vaguely remembered Kan and his crew escaping the ship, and that last glimpse of sunlight underwater before water rushed into his lungs...and that lake... Kaze rubbed his head...so this is what it was like having a connection to the spirit world...the talents that made him an exorcist and saved him from death. He looked at a mirror across the room and saw that his eyes had a more deadened appearance then usual. He stared at his hand, which seemed even more bony and weak then before. Come to think of it, Kaze had survived many fatal illnesses before, but had he really survived them all? Kaze closed his eyes and thought to himself. Maybe he was just being torn apart, piece by piece, and eventually he would die, but something was definetely keeping him attached to this world, albeit stripping him of his strength more and more each day... "Are you alright?" The woman next to him asked fearfully. Kaze didn't reply, he seemed to be thinking about when this would stop..When he could die in peace... "Are you..." "I'm fine." Kaze interrupted, throwing off the covers on the bed. He was still slightly bound by bandages, but he got up, took two steps toward the door, and fell down. The young woman screamed and Kaze pressed his hand against the floor, trying to get up. the noise seemed to be attracting a crowd, as some other people began streaming into the room to see what was going on. He pushed himself up with great effort, and reached over to a chair from which his clothes were hanging. He began to get dressed, but the other people there still seemed terrified, as though they were looking at a ghost. Kaze glared at them. "Well?" He said through clenched teeth, no one moved, and he recognized one woman. Back! Stay back! Kaze reached into his holster and pulled out his phantasmal arm, pointing one of them at the elderly woman who had called him a demon. She gasped and retreated to the wall. "So I'm a demon, eh?" He said quickly, and the rest of the crowd retreated. "So...maybe you're right...I've cheated death far too often to be human...right?" "You abomination! You will be cursed to the depths of Hell for this!" The woman shrieked, moving into a corner, but still cowering from Kaze. Overcome with rage, he put away his gun and conjured his blade instead, pointing it at her. "Well then, I'll just have to meet you there, won't I?" The group gasped as Kaze lifted the blade... It's not your turn...wait for the time... Kaze released the blade and his hand began to twitch uncontrollably. The group around him immediately ran out the door, but the young woman from the beach ran out to get her friend, the healer. Kaze looked at the mirror across the room again, and then, without warning, smashed his body full force into it, shattering it and sending him to the ground, whereupon he picked up a shard of glass. "Time to see if this is true..." He said, and slit his throat with the shard. He felt blood pour over his hands just before he passed out. "Not yet...the time...not yet..." I know it's not yet, so you will have to wait. "What...what...you want?" You shouldn't throw your life away like that...somewhere...theres a place that needs your help. "Place?..." You know what the place is... "...Ma'Urii..." Kaze jumped up and collided heads with the healer once again. The man rubbed his head and began cursing again, but then stopped and stared at Kaze in bewilderment. Kaze looked down and saw that he was lying in a pool of his own blood. He had survived a fatal experience again. So that was it, then. Some force was definetely at work around him, and although it kept him from dying, it left him without any signs or emotions that indicated he was still alive. "How did you..." The healer began, but Kaze got to his feet and began to walk towards the door. "Who are you?" Kaze stopped at the door, and moved his lips to speak, but only an incomprehensible rasp came out. "What?" The healer asked again. Kaze appeared to have lost the ability to talk, but then he emitted a more understandable tone that caused his throat to ache. "I'm just an exorcist, and I have no life." "You didn't answer my question." Kaze stared at him. "Why do you want to know my name so badly?" "Well...I just...Wait a minute! I just saved your life!" The healer exploded, Kaze stared at him. "Well...I I wanted my life to be saved, I'd be able to die." The healer looked bewildered at this statement, but then Kaze began to feel weak, so he walked back in and sat on the bed. "My birth name is Kaze, but that doesn't really matter anymore." He said quietly, The healer looked at him. "My name is Ensis, and please don't do that again." He said coldly, poining to the now bloodstained shard of glass on the floor. Kaze shrugged. "I want to die." He said quietly. "What?" Ensis asked, dumbstruck. "I want to die, but I can't, it's very odd being an exorcist." "Why do you want to die?" "I can't rest anymore, I have no use with life." Kaze looked out the window and saw the street below. He was definetely in Tal'Ebot, but now he had to go back, he had fought, died twice, and now he had to go back... Life and death work in strange ways sometimes...
2. Ah, a way to work on my AC story ideas... well... ai vai nada... Kizurojia: This is Tsunami...Sector N-43...Enemy AC!...NOO... The line was enveloped by a burst of static and Ren lost contact with his partner. The AC he was using was brightly colored, consisting of a sky blue torso and right arm, and a flaming orange floating leg platform and left arm. It donned two machine guns and had just escaped from another room full of automaded defenses. The AC rounded a corner and kicked into Overboost, dodging laser fire and floating around the corner gracefully. It burst through a window, and saw two other unmanned units lying in wait... Virtua: Earth Hammer here, all gates unlocked, moving to sector S-29. Another AC burst through the solid barrier in front of it by firing a grenade. It dashed around the corner, and ran as fast as it's legs could carry down the empty elevator shaft. The pilot knew what was happening, and had to act fast, or die. The bright black and orange paint job was scratched up, and it was being chased by an unmanned AC. Niyura was beginning to sweat in his AC cockpit, and knew that if he was right, this mission could turn out to be his worst nightmare... Kaze-Jin: This is Ghost Phase, area secure, now moving ahead... The yellowish tread AC blasted a hole in the wall to proceed, the dilapidated building was being overrun with unmanned units, and some AC was acting as their ringleader. They had planned for an ambush, but they had been ambushed themselves. Virtua always had a knack for survival, but this was plain dangerous. Ren Hikigane: This is Spitfire, all defenses out of commision. Moving ahead. Kaze looked over to the side, but didn't see anything. He took a few steps forward cautiously, when an unmanned AC lunged out at him from behind a pillar. Kaze jumped out of the way, and the AC sliced through a pillar with it's blade. Kase dashed behind a pillar as it began to open chain gun fire, when he head a burst of static on his line... Ren Hikigane: This door is locked from the other side, someone help! Kaze looked at the door control on the far wall, and noted on his radar that Ren was right behind it. He fired a smart missile at it from afar, and it manoeuvered around the obstacles in it's path before destroying the wall control. The door opened as part of the security system, and Ren dashed inside, guns ablaze. The unmanned AC whirled around, or at least tried to, from the onslaught of machine gun fire, but it was too late, as Kaze walked out from behind the pillar and blew it away with a bazooka shot. Ren and Kaze locked eyes for a minute before walking through separate doors, knowing that if they stayed together, they would only get in each other's way... Zora: This is Alpha Shock...Enemy sighted!...Wa.... Niyura was enraged as he burst through the door, powering up Overboost. Those things thought they could kill his brother?! There was a wave of static on the line, and Zora reported that his AC was retreating. Niyura breathed a sigh of relief, but rounded the corner, this wouldn't be easy... Virtua: I'm at Sector X-00, The enemy is converging here, I need a hand! Kaze and Ren got the same idea, and quickly dashed through the doors around the corridor, trying to find a way into the area where Virtua was. Kaze looked to his side and saw a massive hole in the wall, leading down into an empty elevator shaft. "As good a chance as any." He thought as his Ac fell downwards, landing with a thud on the floor below. Suddenly the elevator collapsed, and Kaze was trapped one floor lower than he had intended. Out of options, he walked through the passage into another room... Niyura: This is Danger Zone, I'm with Earth Hammer, and the target is closing fast. Ren looked down the path and saw a set of crumbling ramps leading downwards. "Must be the emergency exit." He said as he floated down the ramp quickly, narrowly avoiding autogun fire from the ceiling. He fired a pulse cannon shot at the gun battery and it exploded, but the rocking motion caused the ceiling to collapse and take the ramps with it. Ren floated safely into the air as he watched the path underneath him collapse, and he let himself drop to the floor below, and sail throught the door. Niyura: The target has arrived...What?!...AHH... Kaze put on a boost of speed as his radar told him that Danger Zone was down. He rounded a corner and came face to face with another unmanned AC. Out of options, but almost out of ammo, Kaze rushed forward and began unleashing his bazooka fire... Virtua: I need help! This guy is tough! Err... Ren kicked on his Overboost as he roared around the corner and dashed down the immesurably long corridor. He saw a door at the end, but to his dismay, it was locked. There was a small beeping noise behind him, and he turned just in time to see a bomb detonate on the ceiling and walls, and trap him! Kaze-Jin: This is Ghost Phase...I'm out of ammo...retreating. Virtua: Err...Ren...help me! "I can't!" Ren shouted into his communications system, but there was a burst of static over the other line. Virtua: Teo...how...could you... Another flash of static went through the line, and Virtua was gone. Ren looked up helplessly at the enormous looming door, and noticed that it had opened. Unsure what to do, he opened it and looked inside for a moment before actually entering. There was no sign of the enemy, but he saw three smouldering AC's in the middle of the ground. Ren was enraged as he looked around madly for the intruder who was able to destroy four Ravens like that, but he didn't see anyone. Until he heard the signal coming through the line... UNKOWN: WR-1220...AC IDENTIFIED...INITIATING WEAPON MODE WRL-BX-S192 Ren whirled around and saw another AC just behind him, pointing a massive bazooka at his AC. Ren stared in shock for a moment, but then noticed something about this AC. UNKNOWN: CITIZENSHIP LEVEL: RAVEN...CITIZENSHIP NUMBER: BR-3020-4871...IDENTIFIED AS RIJIN HIROSHI HIKIGANE. Teotihuaca'n: Rijin?... Ren gasped at the message that had just flashed up on his screen. He thought the AC looked familliar, but he never thought... "Teo?" Rijin managed weakly... I guess I really shouldn't have been surprised, when Teo left, I knew that nothing would bring him back, but at the same time...nothing would be able to kill him. That day he crossed into a world we had never dreamed of seeing, he left nothing to indicate that he was missed, or even cared. One thing's for sure, though, he did have a legend, and despite this, he never seemed to mind having people worship him, like a god of the era of Armored Core, but still, he had something we never did, and never seemed to accept the fact that he had a gift...he used to say something... Whatever...that's what he used to call it... Whatever... Chapter 1 The Rave Ren looked around the dark garage area, the place was pitch black, and there were small mechanical noises that occasionally interrupted the noise from the restless crowd below. Ren looked down at his AC, Spitfire, on which he was currently standng. He looked up at the control panel in front of him, and the guy who wasa working next to him. The two men flashed each other the thumbs up, and Ren pressed a red button on the panel. Six columns of fire immediately exploded all around his AC, and the crowd jumped back in surprise, then Ren pressed another button, and strobe lights began to go off in all directions. Ren pressed the third button, and several hatches opened up around and above the crowd, and pumping techno music erupted from the sound system. The crowd cheered for a few seconds, then began to dance as one giant group to the music. Ren, looking very pleased with himself, walked off his AC onto the garage's suspended balcony, and from there walked into the back room where all of the AC repairs took place. He looked around, and saw several AC's some of them were sparking, others were missing limbs, and some just had badly dinged up paint jobs and such. Ren crossed his arms and shut the door behind him, and all the music was cut out, the door had been soundproofed. Ren took a step down, when suddenly the music started again, and Ren turned and saw Teotihuaca'n standing there behind him. "W's'up?" Ren asked automatically, this had become his major response to everything. "Nothing much." Teo replied, this too, had become one of his automatic responses. The two looked at each other uneasily for a moment, before Teo walked down and leaned on the railing. Ren kneeled down and stared at the AC's below. "Isn't that one yours?" He asked, poining at a massive black and white AC with a camouflaged paint job. It had a few chunks torn out of it, and the paint job had been dinged up pretty badly. "Yep...that's Whatever..." Teo replied, he seemed scared about something. "Something the matter? You haven't talked much since you got back from..." Ren cut off, Teo had just taken a sharp breath. "Don't talk to me about that." Teo replied quietly, he looked back at his AC, and then bean to walk towards it. Ren followed suit, and the two men got into the cockpit. Ren looked at the unusual controls, the two stick controls seemed to be bent to the sides, and they were both extremely heavy. Teo seemed to control the AC out of his own strength more than anything. Teo clicked a few buttons, and a large screen popped up in front of them. >PLAYBACK RECORDING Y/N Teo pressed another button, and there was a massive explosion that mad Ren jump. He saw that Teo was watching a playback from his last mission, but Ren had no idea where he was. Whatever was fighting against another unit in a bright blue room, and the other unit was...definetely not an AC. Ren watched as Whatever proceeded to fire at the other unit, which was surprisingly fast and agile. IBIS: Scanning target... Ren looked at Teo, who continued to watch, as though transfixed. Whatever seemed to be winning the fight, but the enemy unit seemed to be acting strangely, moving about erratically. IBIS: Target scan in progress...adapting systems... Teo gripped the arms of the cockpit chair hard, he seemed to be expecting something. Ren watched the battle in slight surprise. Despite she superiority of the other unit, Whatever seemed to be winning. There was another explosion and the camera shuddered slightly as Whatever took a large hit. IBIS: Target scan...complete... Whatever backed up as fast as it could, and took a few final shots at the enemy. It backed up against the wall, and suddenly everything stopped. Ren noticed, for the first time, that there was another massive computer at the far side of the room in which the two were fighting. IBIS: Confirmation check... Ren stared for a moment, since the enemy didn't seem to be moving. Teo looked strangely quizzical. IBIS: Disconnecting...Reverting to safe mode...Main system shutdown... There was another explosion and Ren jumped. Both the computer and the other unit exploded at the same time. The glass wall that had been protecting the computer shattered, and glass sprayed everywhere as the computer sparked and made small explosions. The unit was now lying on the ground, smouldering. IBIS: XA-26483...My function is complete...Raven... IBIS: The rest is up to you... Ren stared for a moment, then the screen cut out entirely and only the voice was coming through. It was garbled and heavily saturated with static, but the message got through. Emma: Raven...can you hear me?... Emma: Raven...please copy...over... Teo got up slowly and began to step out of the AC, he now seemed oblivious to Ren's presence, and walked out of the garage without another word. Ren stared at him as he left, what was all that about? "HEY!" He called at long last. Teo stopped and turned around just as he was about to open the exit door. "You showed me that tape, now I could use a little explantion!" Ren stared at Teo with anger. Teo looked at him for a moment, then walked back down to his AC. "I'm not sure I understand it myself...but I think it wanted me to do something..." He said, and Ren looked at him. "I think it wants me to...explore outside the corporate areas." "You mean out THERE?! That's crazy! No one's made it back from that place!" Ren yelled, Teo ignored him. "I've made it this far, so what's another few missions, eh?" He said, then walked off. Ren watched him go, what was he planning to do? Where was he going to go? He was my best friend...even if he was a little hard to understand... Maybe he saw something that we couldn't see, and maybe he seemed to be trying to do something that only he could do, but I think he at least ought to ask for help. I mean...after watching that tape, I was stunned that he never told anyone about it. What was he trying to achieve? Glory? Power? Answers? This world is shrouded in mystery...and it makes me sick... RYU: Now integrating....AC data acquired.... RYU: Target identified...IBIS data link established... RYU: Human test subject link established...now integrating test subject with AI program... Teotihuaca'n: Sorry, Ren, but it's for the best... RYU: Integration complete...program installed in AC...now establishing link with test subject... Teotihuaca'n: LINK ESTABLISHED... Teotihuaca'n: ALL PROGRAMS FULLY FUNCTIONAL...AI INEGRATION WITH TEST SUBJECT...COMPLETE...
3. Kaze rocked from his position on the ship's deck, and was nearly thrown from the side as an incredible explosion issued from the other side of the ship. Huge black plumes of smoke rose from the sides, and he noticed some of the crew and Kan running around madly trying to restore order. Kaze tried to get up but another explosion threw him to the ground, and this time a giant fan dislodged from it's post, and landed on top of Kaze. He struggled, but it was caught between a railing and stuck into the floor, Kaze was trapped. "Abandon ship!" Kan called from the other side of the deck. Kaze tried to yell but a cloud of smoke flew right into his face, and he coughed, unable to yell. There was another thundering crash, and Kaze looked over the side in horror, seeing water. He watched helplessly as Kan was the last one to get back on the shore, but Kaze was being dragged down into the water with the smoking wreckage. He coughed again, and with a horrifying feeling, swallowed a lungful of water. Unable to resist, he sank under, and saw the last rays of sunlight permeate the surface of the water before he passed out... Kaze opened his eyes slowly, expecting to be faced with death, but instead found himself in a dark limbo, with nothing but a moist feeling a the bottom of his shoes. He looked down and saw his reflection, he was standing in an ankle-deep pool of water. He looked around, as though expecting something, but saw nothing. Without thinking, he fell backwards and noticed that the pool seemed much deeper now, as he floated on the surface. He wondered where he was, but then felt a strange pressure on his stomach and face, as well as his toes. He reached a hand forward, and although there was nothing in front of him, his hand hit something like a solid wall. Immersed in the tank of water, Kaze bubbled helplessly for a moment before the water enveloped his face, choking him again. With a deafening noise, the ceiling above him shattered, and he broke the surface of the water, albeit finding himself in a completely differet place... Elda and Ensis looked in mute shock at this boy who had just emerged from their lake, he seemed deadened, and had a deep, vacant look in his eyes that was closer to death than anything. Elda took a step back, and Kaze, not realizing what he was doing, as though he were simply looking through another person's eyes, walked up to the shoreline, and began to recite in a deep, throaty rasp. "You call me a monster...you brand me a demon..." He said, swaying on the spot, as a dark aura rushed over him. "You...I...I am not a part of life...or death..." He looked down at his hand, which had now gripped itself into a fist. "I...am...beyond...death..." Kaze began to choke and cough and sway from side to side, spluttering in an incoherent language. Elda screamed as he coughed again, spurting dark blood onto the ground, and collapsing onto the soft ground... "The world dies...the world dies..." Kaze jumped up and found himself in a bed. Several bandages had been wrapped around his head, and there was someone standing over him just as he did so. The two people collided heads painfully, and Kaze looked at the man standing up, rubbing his head furiously. "The boy is fine! I told you!" He said before running out of the room. Kaze looked around and saw another man standing there, arms folded. There were two others, a young man and woman, who looked horrified, and Kaze looked out the window and saw the sun. "...Tal'Ebot?"
4. "That's all, we just sit back, relax, and wait for the call." Roman said as he got out of the van in front of DMC office. Gus and Meteo stepped out of the back, and began to walk towards the door. "WAIT." Roman barked, in a single tone. Gus froze, Meteo jumped slightly, and Roman closed his eyes and folded his arms. "You're back..." He said simply, Gus and Meteo looked around for a bit, and then Roman jumped to the roof of the office in a single bound, and noticed Jason waiting for him. "So...you want a job here?" He asked calmly, Jason looked at him, but before he could answer, Roman chuckled slightly. "Yeah, I didn't think anyone else would want to come here unless they wanted a job." "So...what do I have to do to prove myself?" Jason asked, Roman laughed again. "You've already proven yourself..." He said, reaching under his jacket and drawing a claw. Jason fell back into a ready position, but Roman just jammed the claw into his chest. Jason looked at him for a moment before realizing what he was doing... "Now all you have to do is survive." He said before an explosion of light energy erupted from his body. Jason shielded his eyes, but when he looked up, Roman had dissappeared. Jason jumped backwards just as the massive werewolf stomped on where he was just standing. Roaring loudly, it took a massive swipe at his chest which overbalanced it. Jason ducked and pulled out his guns, but Roman had already jumped out of the way. Roman smashed his hand into the ground, and the roof collapsed under them both. Jason rolled and tired to recompose himself, but Roman was on top of him immediately. Jason reached over and saw a snapped power cord from the ceiling light, and stabbed Roman with it just as he brought his fist down. Roman jerked and writhed spastically from the surge of energy from the house current, and Jason jumped to his feet and kicked Roman squarely in the head. There was another flash of light, and Roman had returned to normal, albeit swaying slightly from the shock. "G'd work." He said as he righed himself, and clapped Jason on the shoulder, giving him a small shock. Roman swayed, then collapsed into his chair and examined the rubble from the collapsed ceiling, the holes in the windows from the bullets and pool table, which was still lying in the street in two pieces. Roman put his feet on the desk and one of the legs collapsed, sending papers and bills and the phone crashing to the floor. "Jason?!" Roman yelled, exasperated. "Yeah?" "Call the insurance company, it's on the speed dial."
5. Well...I am from a half-Portuguese family, so I grew up learning the language. I don't practice too often, though, so whenever I talk to my grandmother, I stumble or need to ask my mom for help. I take French because I live in a french-speaking community, so it's an essential part. (sadly, I am poor at it) However, some languages are similar, and sometimes I can confuse French and Portuguese. Apparently, some words in Japanese are based on Portuguese too. I might try taking Japanese lessons sometime, now that I go to a school with people from other countries (almost half the school is asian, and we have people from South America and Africa too). I love to travel, so it might come in handy.
6. Kaze had already been walking for hours, he was heading towards Tal'Ebot trying to find a sign as to what to do next... He could have sworn that the pastor had wanted him to go somewhere, but he figured that he might as well go there, seeing as how the city would be full of tourists full of information come the spring celebration... Kaze had never had a real celebration before, since his childhood was spent in horrible illness. His family had always done their part to help, but Kaze had now been filled with a dark void. He had never really looked forward to any festivals, since looking forward could always mean you are looking towards death... Kaze stopped abruptly as he heard a loud rumbling behind him, and what seemed to be a whistling of wind. There was a roar of moise as an incredible dust cloud formed a few hundred feet away, and Kaze looked in astonishment as a ship sailed over the hill, on land. He looked as the ship, which had very uneven wheels, roared towards him, and he took a few steps back, and gazed upon what was not really a ship, but more of a small platform with a singular cabin on wheels, as well as a few sails and man-powered fans. The men were Tal'Iiren, and they appeared ot be pumping handles which powered the fans furously, except for one, who stood near the front. The man at the front noticed Kaze, and yelled something that was drowned out by the roar of the machinery. Two bars plunked down on either side of the vehicle, and dug into the ground, causing it to stop. A small set of three stairs unfolded quietly from the side, and the man who was standing at the front, who had purple hair and was wearing a travelling suit, stared at Kaze with what seemed to be amusement. "Choo' doing down 'ere?" He asked, speaking with a strong accent. "I'm going to Tal'Ebot." Kaze replied simply, but the man roared with laughter and clapped Kaze on the shoulder. "Aren't you in luck, mate, 'cause we's going there too, we is. You could use the ride, son." Kaze didn't reply, but was lead up the stairs by the man, who'se tail seemed to be swishing excitedly. "A'ight mates, forward, and no slacking off, now!" He roared, and the rest of the men began to pump the fan handles again, causing the ship to start moving. Kaze looked at the cabin, and long, moving chains appeared to be protruding from it. "The wind isn't the only thing powering this, mate, we've got men in there pulling them chains, and the wheels turn. They get an easier time of it, though, since these blokes have got most of the work with the fans." He laughed again, and some of the others stared at him contepmtedly. He looked at Kaze. "This is the first ship to ever sail on land, it is, mate. We're just testing it, makin' sure it's all right for travel before we try using the..." All of the men stopped pumping abruptly and shushed the captain, who blushed. "Sorry, mate, can't tell you that one." He did a small double take at Kaze, who stared blanky. "Oh, my apologies, never introduced meself properly... I'm Kan Tsu'Kei, the captain of this here enerprise, and you'll put in a good word for me men back in town, eh?" He winked at Kaze, who looked at him contemptedly before sitting down. "Oh yeah, you must be tired. I'd offer you some food, mate, but we have just exactly enough to last my men the trip back." He laughed again, Kaze didn't look at him. "You eager for the festival?" Kan asked, Kaze didn't reply, so Kan looked at him, his nose about an inch away from Kaze's. He seemed angry. "You know, son, you really have to learn to talk to folks, y'know." "Why?" "Cause they yer friends, y'know, The way I see it, all people in this place are like one big, happy family, who don't really realize it yet." "Really...that seems strange." "Whossat?" "There have been wars, you know, and maybe Tal'Ebot won't be too happy when you try to bring this thing in." "Ha! I got the little boy to talk. Brillian'..." Kaze looked down. "Whoa, didn' mean to get you so down, kid, maybe we can talk some other time, you can sleep or something..." "How can I sleep, with all this noise?" "Oh, right, I guess I never thought o' that." Kan guffawed loudly, then retreated to the rear of the ship. Kaze looked into the sky, the sun was shining, and he fell asleep on deck, remembering, albeit vaguely, what it meant to rest in the sun...
7. Loki sighed and reclined on the small bed in the back. The ship was something else, but he knew he probably wound never see it again. Throughout the trip Loki had begun to rethink wether or not this mission was really worth it. He had seen a lot of powerful reploids, and if he turned on them he might not live long enough to collect his pay...and besides, maybe he might be better off here. The living certainly seemed acceptable, and maybe he wouldn't have to live on the run any longer... INCOMING TRANSMISSION Loki's eyes rolled into the back of his head, and he fell unconcious. He woke up in the bright white room once again, and the white-suited man in the swivel chair was still there, only this time facing away from him. "So..." Loki began, he wondered what this was about now. "You do not wish to complete your job..." Loki felt a lump in his throat, how in the hell could this be happening? "If you do not follow my orders after you have completed your job, then you will not be able to recieve your pay." "The money doesn't matter that much anymore, I think this place has a lot more to offer me than you do, and I probably will end up dead before I can escape." The man stood up, he was facing away from Loki, and Loki saw that he had dark hair, and was apparently wearing dark glasses. "I believe that I saw this coming, so I will not attempt to stop you, however, we still have that link to your memory." The man tapped a finger to his temple. "We will still recieve all the information you find, and you do not have to escape, however...when we attack the facility, we will make no attempt to spare your life." Loki crossed his arms, what now? "You can either work for them, or us, the descision is up to you." "It's never really up to me, is it?" Loki said bitterly, but the man just laughed slightly. "It is up to you, you can choose your path down life, and whatever happens, you will have to do your best to perservere. I will await your answer." Loki awoke with a start, shooting upwards as though he had been fired from a cannon, and banged his head against the ceiling. The door to the room opened and Cyan stepped in. "Are you alright? We'll be landing soon." He shut the door without waiting for an answer, and Loki regained his composure before getting up again. This was definetely one of his harder assignments, and would soon become one of his hardest choices...
8. You asked earlier what Wondershot is... WONDERSHOT IS ME (that's my name, you see) I believe that Hacker Kite just said "Wondershot's glowing effect" because it was I who suggested you try lightening up the images. Just out of curiosity, where did you get that picture? I've been looking everywhere for good AC pics... -Won-daa-shot
9. Name: Kaze Hikigane Age: 19 Gender: Male Location: JDF Bio: Kaze grew up in a very prestigious family of pilots who had only recently begun to pilot the new Wazners. Kaze showed an unnatural talent in piloting the devices when he was only 12, and he is now a supreme pilot. However, it was a very odd phenomenon, in the sence that he never seemed to need to learn any of the techniques of piloting, he just knew them. It is uncertain where he might have gotten these experiences, and not even Kaze himself seems to know. Kaze had developed a strange connection with his Wazner device, it seems to react more swiftly to his commands than anyone else, and it appears to be controlled almost more directly through his thoughts than his actions. Kaze says that "it's a strange feeling, when I strap in it seems like we excange energy from each other and work as a team." No one knows what this means, but it certainly has helped Kaze in the field. Kaze has a reluctancy to kill anyone in the field, this reluctancy came when he was a child, first learning to pilot, until it grew into a complete loathing of killing, and now Kaze almost completely refuses to kill anyone. In some dispatch missions, Kaze will just avoid enemies, and refuses to fire even if he is being fired upon. His piloting skills allow him to dodge most shots, but it is suspected that his ideals will one day be his downfall. This is not for certain, however, as he has escaped death more than once. Description: Kaze has black hair and is rather short for his age, only about 5'11". He wears a black sweatshirt with a hood, and usually dark jeans or cargo pants. He has blue eyes and doesn't speak very much, and his reputation in the field (both for his skills and refusing to kill) leaves him ostracized from most other pilots, he does not speak to them unless he is spoken to. Wazner: Ghost Phase Weapons: Bazooka arm weapons which fire multiple high damage shots at once, a laser cannon that fires green beams, and a high-action missile launcher. Appearance: The picture is from Armored Core, I hope this is alright. EDIT: Yes, Zidargh, I am prepared to go all the way with this RP and stay committed. I just put this here rather than sent you a ridiculously short PM. -Won-daa-shot
10. Kaze looked around inside the dilapidated church. He was expresionless, and was now holding a large cracked wooden rod, as though for support. He looked at the ruin around him and stopped, as he heard a breath come from behind the altar. "Ka..." It seemed to be a voice, but it sounded more like a raspy gust of wind than a voice, however, it did seem to make words. "Ka.." Kaze heard a piercing shriek from behind him, and whirled to see a poltergeist floating in an ethereal cloud before him. He drew a pistol and took a few small shots, leaning on the rod he was holding. The ghost floated into the air and chucked a boulder at him, which he blasted out of the way with another shot. The spirit vanished, and Kaze turned his attention back to the voice. An old man was crawling out from under the altar, but his face and body were so thin that they appeared to be nothing more than bones wrapped in a single layer of skin. He also had no eyeballs, and his mouth appeared to be frozen open. "Kaze..." Kaze whirled as the ghost formed again, and took a few smal shots, but it whirled high above his reach and began chicking the pews in the church at him. He rolled and ducked out of the way, then began to focus his mind power. Using all the concentration in his body, Kaze gripped his right forearm with his left hand, and a swirling mass of green energy began to flow to his fist, which then straightened out and became a pale green blade, almost completely transparent. The poltergeist whizzed low, and Kaze jumped high into the air and cut it with the tip of his blade, it split open where a wound would appear on a normal man, and the ghost writhed for a moment while a white light poured out of the wound...and it evaporated. The energy left over flowed back into Kaze, while the soul itself was sent away to rest... "Kaze..." The creature said again. "You can...not stay here, you are a child, you should leave..." "I have to stay, Father, there is work to be done, spirits to heal." "No, there is nothing you can do, please leave and live a better life..." Kaze stared at the old man, then plunged the broken rod into the old man's chest, then shot it a couple of times. It evaporated. Kaze looked pensive as he left the ruin, the old man was the priest of the church, and had always treated Kaze like a son, but now he had died, and had used the last of his soul to reanimate himself and tell Kaze to leave. Kaze looked out of the town as far as the fog would go. Without giving it a second thought, he threw away the old rod and began to walk away... OOC: Sorry for the short post, I'm really tired
11. Kaze stared at the coin for a moment, almost with a depressed look on his ace, and turned to look at the man who had thrown it to him; he had already left. Kaze pocketed the coin and walked down the road, barely making any noise with his footsteps. He had a tendency to trod lightly, so as not to draw attention to himself from the living, or the dead... He put his hood over his head just as a small group of people walked by him, all of them cloaked hevily and moving quickly, as though trying to hide from something, as well as also trying not to draw attention to themselves. One of them strayed off, bumped into Kaze and fell over, revealing a smaller child, who looked petrified. The group stopped and turned on Kaze, making gestures with their hands. "Back, monster!" "Stay away from our children!" Kaze reared back and the child got to his feet and dashed back into the party, who continued to back away from Kaze. "You are a demon, we see the truth alone!" "Go back to hell, leave us be!" Kaze watched as the group vanished around a corner, there was a rumble of thunder overhead and it started to rain, not a soft rain, a heavy torrent which would drown plants rather than nourish them. Kaze looked at the dilapidated buildings around him, his home. He looked into a small murky puddle, as though looking for an answer, but saw only mud. He stepped into a building with a solid roof, but with holes in the walls and a second floor balcony that was inacessible due to a collapsed staircase. There were holes in the floor, reveling patches of dirt, and the only good side was that there were no vermin or pests in the house, the reason for that probably being that they didn't even want to live there. Kaze stretched and looked out the window, or rather, a hole in the wall, at the ruin around him. He sighed and lay down on the floor in his favorite sleeping spot, under the broken staircase. He sighed and rolled on his back, knowing that it wouldn't do him any good, since he had been deprived of sleep for years now... After waiting for almost an hour, Kaze stepped outside into the fresh mud, since the rain had stopped, and now cast a heavy fog over the street. He walked away until he heard a scream from across the street, making no move to hurry, Kaze continued to walk at his normal pace, almost nochalantly, but he knew what was coming next. "Back, abomination! Back!" An old woman's voince cried into the mist. Kaze looked back and saw this old woman stumbling across the street, and Kaze could see she was being chased by something, an even thicker fog. He looked ahead calmly, then conjured up his arms from the air... "No, NO!" The woman cried as she slipped and fell, the mist closing in on her... Kaze fired a shot, and it struck into the mist, he fired two more, and the mist began to glow and writhe, then it evaporated. The woman looked at him for a moment, the look of utmost horror on her face, and ran away. Kaze watched her retreat, then walked down the street to an intersection, all the roads seemed to lead into a thinck fog and more ruined buildings, but he took a left and continued to walk straight. He rounded the corner and looked at the massive church, which seemed all right on the outside, but it was completely devoid of life. Kaze took another step forward, and pushed lightly on the door, which creaked open and sent a jet of cool air outwards. Kaze flinched slightly, then walked inside...
12. Uh huh, it's weird, you feel that you could use independence, but sometimes it can be difficult when you like things as they are. Sometimes independence can come from a change in lifestyle, like my new school. I joined a sports team and there are activities on weekends. Maybe with a little change of pace, things might get a little more interesting. It's bad when you have too much time on your hands, because you have nothing to do, and feel dependent. Try getting a job or joining a sports team or club or something to fill the hours. You can still hang out with people, and you have something to do. Good luck.
13. Ok...this is a very odd banner I made based on a theme from Armored Core Silent Line, you'll only understand it if you've played the game... In any case, let me know what you think, it's very simplistic.
14. Very nice, I'm guessing that's from AC3... The only problem I have with it is that it is too plain and dark, maybe that darkness bit fits with the AC, and the green fading and red lines are really nice, but it is just plain hard to see. Maybe if you lightened up the AC and red lines and make it look more like they are glowing... As an AC fanatic, that banner is really nice. Keep it up.
15. "So, what is so weird, and what does this guy have to do with your past?!" Moriko yelled, starting to get a little exasperated. "He was a dragon, just like me." Reena said calmly, everyone froze on the spot and stared. "A...dragon?" Katumea asked, almost frightened, Moriko stared with her jaw open, Tani looked pensive, Rann looked stunned. "I thought all other dragons were gone except for Reena and Rann?" Mori-Sora piped up, Reena shrugged. "It was in his eyes, I saw it, a sign of a dragon's spirit." "What did it look like?" Moriko asked curiously. Reena shrugged again. "It's hard to describe, you feel it more than you see." Moriko looked annoyed. "Come on!" She whined, Reena sighed and walked right next to her, eyes about an inch apart from each other. Moriko looked deep into Reena's eyes and thought she saw something, like a small fire deep inside Reena's iris, she felt warmer just looking at it, then hotter, and she felt herself start to sweat and she seemed to become lighter. In an incredible flash, Moriko jumped, or rather, flew backwards as though she had just been hit in the face with a fireball. "What that it?!" She asked, sounding almost panicky with surprise. "I guess it was, I can't see it myself." Reena said, swaying on her feet as though embarrassed. The rest of the group began to walk off, but Rann stayed where he was. Reena whirled from the rest of the group and walked back next to him. "Is there anything I can do?" Reena asked gently, Rann swayed as though he was being woken up. "Uh?..no, not really." "I can see it in you too, just because you aren't a full dragon doesn't mean we can't see it." She looked aprehinsive as her face moved closer to his. "Yours is similar to that other boy's, do you think you are related to him?" "Maybe, I don't know too much about my family." "It's okay, maybe someday we'll meet more dragons." "I don't know, there's this war...and then we may not..." "Now who seems stressed?" Reena asked with a slight smile. "Come on, today I just lived a dream, maybe it'll happen to you too!" "I don't know." Reena smiled. "It's possible, you know? Maybe there's a place around where lots of dragons live!" "Not very likely." "Says the guy who thought there weren't anymore dragons around." "Well..." Reena's smile vanished. "You don't believe me?" "...No." Rann replied flatly, to his surprise, Reena grinned sheepishly. "It's okay, I didn't think anyone would, but I'm fine." With that, she turned on her heel and left to catch up with the rest of the group.
16. OOC: My apologies, I have been a bit busy the past week. Guess? please watch your spelling and grammar, and the fact that you sometimes call yourself "Ryu" by accident. Roman stared in mild amusement at the giant queen which had now reared itself to it's full height, and groaned menacingly. Roman looked undernath and noticed several odd boils protruding from it's underbelly. He took a quick moment to ponder what they were for, when suddenly one of them burst open in a stream of viscious pus, and a smaller drone came out to attack Roman, who sliced it neatly in half with a claw swipe. The queen rampaged forwards, but Roman grinned slightly and mouthed to Jason "back up". With a single imperceptible motion, he dropped an armed pipe bomb at his feet... Gus and Meteo jumped away in surprise as the ceiling came down with a deafening roar, the queen's enormous body now stuck in the entrance hall, it's body was stuck between the walls, and it's feet were hovering a few feet above the ground. It was lodged in the entryway, immobile. Tao and the rest of the Yushi gang stared for a moment before jumping off the first floor balcony and landing behind the creature. It was surrounded and helpless... Almost helpless... Without warning, it issued a burst of thick steam from it's mouth, and Roman noticed that it was causing the paint on the walls to run and the dark rugs to burn. "It's acid, dodge it." Gus and Meteo looked at each other, the mist reached the ground and went fifteen feet into the air. Roman sighed slightly, then grabbed both men by the collars and jumped high into the air, above the gas, landing only slightly heavily. Roman dashed forward and under the creature, slashing the large boils and causing the Aku-Tari to erupt prematurely and therefore die due to lack of energy. Out of the conrer of his eye, Roman caught Tao doing the same thing. Suddenly Roman was caught next to the two Yushi women, and Tao was with the DMC team. "Now girls!" Tao called, there were two loud gun blasts, and Roman twitched as the shots sailed into his torso. He collapsed to the ground, and the two Yushi women looked pleased with themselves, Gus, Meteo and Jason had no idea what happened, since they were on the other side. The Yushi girl with the shotgun turned around and blasted the demon in the rear, when a cold voice sounded from behind her. "You try to help someone and this is the thanks you get." She whirled just in time to see the great flash of light and the roar of energy, but missed the werewolf Roman as he jumped into the air and landed claws first on the midsection of the demon. It writhed in agony for a moment before Tao jumped skyward, once again in Devil Trigger, and sliced the creature neatly in half from the midsection all the way down to the end. Finally, May jumped high and landed with a painful thud on the head, crushing it amidst a fountain of yellow blood that was issuing all along the wounds. The three demons got up and reverted to their normal selved, causing a strange gust of wind. Roman looked at his stained coat almost uncaringly, while the rest of the group seemed a little more disgusted and unnerved. There was a strange wooshing sound as the belly split open, revealing a bright yellow orb that was almost painful to look at. "Is that a?..." Tao began, at a loss for words. "Demon Heart." Roman finished, looking at the orb whizzing like a housefly around the room. "What's it doing?" May asked. "I guess since there are three of us, it's trying to decide which of us to choose." Roman finished. "Cho-?" Tao was cut off as the orb stopped in front of him, plunging itself into his chest, there was a crackle of electricity as Tao writhed and groaned, then it vanished in a flash, and everyone got a glimpse of Tao in Devil Trigger before everything stopped. "You have gained it's power, Tao." Roman said, sounding almost pleased. Tao stared at him for a moment, and then Roman jumped off and walked out the door with his fellow Devil May Cry partners... Roman was outside counting the money when the door banged open a second time, and the old man looked at the Yushi crew all standing there, somewhat angry. Roman smiled genuinely. "Sounds like they want their pay, nice doing business with you." Roman said curtly before getting into the van. He checked his rear view mirror and looked as the Yushi gang talked with the old man...
17. Ok, I'll give this a shot... Name: Kaze Hikigane Age: 12 Gender: Male Race: Ethai'En Location: Maurii, Ma'Uriith Occupation: Exorcist Appearance: Nothing more than a child, Kaze is normally considered to be untrustworthy. Indeed, he has a very childlike appearance, since he is only 5'7" and weighs 90 pounds. However, he does maintain a constant aura of darkness around him, since he usually wears heavy black clothes, stitched with mysterious runes in white. He wears a heavy black sweater with a hood, dark pants, which are usually adorned with heavy chains and crosses, and heavy walking shoes. He has a tendency to keep his hands to himself, and does not like being in contact with others. Also, he has two belt holsters, but he does not appear to be carrying any weapons or firearms. That is because his weapons are magical, and they are drawn only at his command, they are ethereal weapons, and will damage the souls of their victims, rather than their bodies, this quality is what landed him a job as an exorcist. Personality: Few people know who he is, much less what he is like. He keeps a mist of secrecy over him at all times, and it is rare that he tels others his name, much less anything about himself. He is usually misunderstood, and people have a tendency to believe that he is capable of powerful dark magic, but that is not the case. The magic he uses is simply to put wayward michevious or restless souls to sleep, and sometimes he protects those who are haunted by poltergeists or other ethereal doppelgangers. He rarely talks about anything other than that which is important to him, and prefers to be alone. He is in fact very peaceful, and would never hurt anyone. Bio: Kaze belonged to a very famous family, known throughout the land for their skills with weaponry, as well as their supreme craftsmanship. Kaze seemed to have abilities that no one else in his family had seen before, and he does not seem to carry the traits of the rest of his family: recklessness and creativity. To this end, he decided to leave his home and find his own path, but as thanks to his family, he kept their name. As a child out in the world, Kaze fell victim to many rare diseases and illnesses. He was treated by doctors and healers in the nearest towns, but none thought he could survive. Despite a lack of a will to live, and the severity of his sickness, he miraculously survived, at great cost to his health. He is very weak in the body, but he has always maintained a clear mind and has powerful magical weapons that he uses to put angry spirits and wraiths to rest. Kaze heard about angry souls in his current hometown, and decided that he could stay for at least a little longer until he could find somewhere else to go. His lack of contact with other human beings has earned him a small private home in a poorer region of the town, but he says nothing. Tidbits: Kaze's magic allows him to summon small ethereal pistols into his hands, as well as a powerful sword that moves so quickly that he is rumored to have invisible weaponry. This is not the case, but only people with strong souls will react to these strange other-dimensional arms. Kaze only uses them against souls, since their effects on a living creature could result in a fate worse than death, however, he still refuses to use his weapons unless it is absolutely necessary. Um...I'm usually here from about 18:30 to 19:30 during the week, and I usually spend more time on weekends, usually in the afternoon. EDIT, NOTE TO ARCADIA: I made my character younger than everyone else cause I wanted to portray him as a very troubled youth, who still is unsure of where he is going with his life. I would prefer to go with this, personally, but if you would prefer otherwise, I'll edit. Thanks.
18. Reena began to get up slowly, she was totally mystified as to what had just happened. Her head throbbed and her stomach seemed tight and it was rumbling, she felt extremely sick and thought she would pass out again. She regained her senses and looked around. She was in a wrecked forest, which she had a strange suspicion was somehow related to that feeling she had earlier. Frowning, she walked in the other direction to where the forest grew thick again, and she walked among the trees, which were comletely still. The explosion must have scared everything off, she thought glumly as she rounded a corner, and stopped dead. There was a strange pool of water in a small clearing, and it seemed undisturbed by the explosion. Reena took a step forward when she heard whispering coming from behind a large rock on the side of the pool. "You think you'll be okay? What if whatever is there attacks you?" It was a young girl's voice, Reena stood still. "I'll be alright...that thing looked...familliar." This was a boy, apparently the same age. "Familliar? You mean?" "I told you, I'm not like everyone else, don't you like being with me?" "Of course I do! I'll come here every day, and we can be in peace." "..." "Are you okay?" "...Thanks." "For what?" "For staying with me...when no one else will..." "It's okay, just don't get hurt and I'll see you tomorrow." "Thanks." There was the sound of receding footsteps, very quick, and Reena saw the girl was leaving, there was a deep sigh from behind the rock, and Reena went down to sit next to it. "She's really nice, huh." "What?" The boy said in surprise at Reena's arrival. "She's really nice, I said, don't you think so?" "Of course she's nice, she comes to visit me." Reena felt a little strange talking to a human boy from around a rock like this, but a strange feeling washed over her as she heard his voice. "Do you like her?" "...Yeah...a little...she's really good to me, and no one else likes me." "How would you know that?" "Because I'm different..." "How different?" There was a pause, and Reena heard a few small footsteps coming from around the side. She looked over and saw a small boy, probably seven or eight years old, looking out from around the corner. He had dark electric blue and red hair, and bright green eyes, as well as small markings under his eyes. Reena looked at him and smiled. "You don't look too different." "It's not the way I look...It's something else..." "Then what..." Reena paused as she began to feel something. A small thought in the back of her mind, approaching slowly and gaining momentum as though it were exiting a tunnel. THe thought grew deeper and Reena began to recall something, the hair, the eyes, those green eyes, an incredible wave of recollection washed over her as she looked into his eyes, so similar to her own, a spark inside them, one that reminded her of... The nexk thing she knew, she was holding the boy in her arms, and tears were streaming down her face, he was confused, but at the same time, began to realize something. "Are you..too?" Reena didn't answer, she slowly released herself from him and sat back on her knees, sitting on her feet. "Are you like me?" He asked again, she smiled and nodded. "Yes, we are like each other," She said with a small smile. "We are both Dragons..." "REENA!" Reena whirled and saw Moriko, Katumea, Mori-Sora and Tani all standing there shocked, Reena stood up and looked at them, still shocked and surprised, Moriko and Katumea began babbling at once, asking questions more rapidly than Reena could understand, let alone answer. "I'm fine, I don't know what happened, but..." She looked down, and saw that the dragon boy was no longer there. She looked disappointed, but she looked back at her friends with a smile. "I'm fine, I just...saw a bit of my past, that's all." Moriko and Katumea looked at each other stunned, but Tani nodded sagely, and Mori-Sora looked at her strangely. "Let's keep going, I'm better now." Reena turned around and walked off, the rest of the group had to rush to catch up, and once they had all left, the boy emerged from behind the rock and watched as they walked back into the woods. "Reena..."
19. Loki continued pacing around his quarters. He was somewhat impressed that his employers were able to get him into Sygnosis X's data banks, but now he still had a job to do, and he was sure his boss wasn't too happy with the time it was taking... >INCOMING TRANSMISSION: PRIORITY LEVEL A-1 Loki swayed slightly, then collapsed onto his bed completely unconcious. He found himself again in a bright white room, and this time there was someone sitting in front of him, only they were covered by a large white swivel chair. Loki folded his arms and frowned. "You sent me this because...?" The person in the chair began to turn around, but then stopped and stood up. It was a man with black hair, and he was currently wearing a white suit. A small bulge near the back of his ears indicated that he was wearing glasses, and he spoke with a light Chinese accent. "Do you still not have the data?" Loki looked at the ground, but his employer seemed amused at something. "No, you have not, but you have been trying, and that is good." Loki looked up, confused and beginning to get a little annoyed. "What are you talking about?" "It's simple, you have been looking at Sygnosis' outpost at Novus Concordia for a while now, if you can continue that kind of reconnaissance, the data we recieve from your memory will be even more useful that that which we hoped to obtain." "You hooked up a link to my memory?" Loki asked, shocked, the man shook his head and laughed. "No, nothing quite like that, but we did insert a small tracker into your brain." He pointed to the side of his head. "We can now see through your eyes, do you mind this?" "No, not really." Loki said, wondering when this would stop. "Very well, you may just go about your business there, and if you can get information from their headquarters, the data would be very useful, and you would be compensated for any extra work you do." Loki nodded. "So...I just have to stay with Sygnosis?" "For a time, but then you must escape when we tell you, and then you will recieve your payment." "Ok..." Loki wracked his brain, it probably would be a little easier, since his cover was anow close to being blown. The man snapped his fingers, and there was a blinding flash... Loki woke up and rubbed his head gingerly. He then threw on his coat and walked outside. He wanted a drink, as well as a little air to calm his nerves. He looked down the street at a small bar, and noticed another man, actually another Reploid, walking away. "Aren't you Deep?" Loki asked as he walked past, Deep stood and stared at him. "Loki, I passed the exam with you, remember?" Deep stared for a moment, then had a small recollection. "Oh yeah, I don't really recognize you from elsewhere..." "No big deal, see ya." Loki replied hastily, quickly walking away. He figured that he might work a little easier if he was working alone. He rounded a corner into an alley, then sat down on the ground, leaning back to gather his thoughts...
20. Reena watched as the group continued to bicker in the background. She was still in her dragon form, and found no means of getting through to any of them. At least she knew that they would be in danger soon if they didn't grow up. Kill... Reena looked up, feeling a small nerve twinge in her back, as though there was a particularily cold gust of wind blowing by her. Die...Kill... Reena then began to feel a prickly warmth rising from a pit in her stomach. It grew hotter and hotter until it began to feel nauseating, Reena began to sway and try to contain herself, but the voice was growing louder, and it seemed to be trying to take over her mind... Kill them...They are food...They are weak...Kill them... Reena growled slightly and swayed even more violently, knocking over a tree. By now, no one could miss the fact that Reena seemed to be becoming increasingly agitated. "Reena? Are you okay?" Moriko asked, starting to get a little worried for Reena's safety. Reena swayed more and began to rear herself to her full height, but now there was an angry roar raging in her stomach, and she began to feel a sickening bloodlust as the rage and blood began to mount. Kill them...They are nothing!...KILL THEM! Without warning, Reena gave a mighty flap of her wings, propelling her into the air and knocking everyone else to the ground. She roared violently and flew straight up, did a small circle in the air and flew a little bit before crashing into a deep woods and causing a deafening bang. The rest of the group got up to see what had happened, when there was another bang, and a fiery explosion consumed half the woods, there was no sign of Reena, at least not as a dragon. The group looked at each other in stunned shock, before heading off to try and find their comrade...
21. Name: Jiang Rin Age: 16 Gender: Male Appearance: Brown hair tied back in a ponytail, green eyes, about 5'8", wears blue nylon shirt with a chinese dragon on the front, also wears blue or green cargo pants, and sometimes wears a battle sash for fun. Bio: Rin is Chinese, and was trained since early childhood as a dao-shi, or taoist shaman. His style of training is unconventional, since, rather than summon a spirit to integrate with his own body, he sends the spirit into a corpse, and has the corpse fight for him. This is a bit more macabre, since the corpse is usually quite old and has to be preserved, but taoists are usually beyond such things. Spirit/Corpse: Jiang Wei, a skilled warrior from the Han era who fought in the Shu Han army until his death. He was a skilled stategist and spear fighter, but he died around the end of the Han era, when the Jin army invaded his castle, and he died in the battle from a strange heart disease. He is one of Rin's oldest ancestors, and he has now been reborn into his old body to help Rin. Personality: Rin hates being violent, so he uses Wei's body to fight for him instead. This says much about his personality. He hates having ot fight in hand to hand, and would also prefer someone to fight from long range (spear). Also, he is a skilled leader and tactitian, since he has to command Wei in live combat. Otherwise, he is easygoing and peaceful, and likes spending time in the woods and cooking, some of the traits of the taoists.
22. Ok, you really have to think outside the box, so to speak, in order to finish the last battle by
using the Chrono Cross technique.
If you pay attention,
you hear music playing in the "crystal room" of Terra Tower, and, after you beat the water-element guy, you hear the music again, and you see the order of the colors necessary to play the music. If you take note of that, in addition to the CT group mentioning something about playing a song, then you can use the Chrono Cross to finish the game.
It is extremely difficult, though, since you have to
know when to use the right elements,
but it does give you a different ending, and it is a challenge that most hardcore RPGers would love to achieve.
23. Loki was in a crisis, the training sessions had already ended, and he had not acquired the necessary data yet. He dashed around the corner, and finally, after so much pain, he had finally found the door. He looked at it for a moment, and began to focus, trying to force it open. He looked at the door in perplexity, as it had not opened yet. "Aluminium alloys?" He thought to himself, but he straightened as he heard someone come around the corner. It was Cyan, returning to the inside. "Oh, hello." Loki said, trying to sound nonchalant. "Why are you going through there? The training facility exit is that way." Cyan responded, pointing down a long hall where Loki had just come from. Loki looked sheepish for a moment before Cyan whirled around, and Loki straightened again. "I don't really remember you from anywhere, did you join fairly recently?" Loki wracked his brain looking for an answer. "Yes, I was unregistered until fairly recently, Sygnosis probably hasn't gotten all the info yet..." "That's hard to understand, I was in charge of the training..." Loki steeled his nerves and continued as calmly as possible. "My previous place of employment is very secretive about my existence, as they believe me to be both a powerful building machine and a powerful weapon." Cyan frowned for a minute, then looked back at the hallway behind. "You're going to have to go, this area is restricted. You go have a little rest." With that, Cyan continued through the door and left. Loki looked at the door in perplexity. However, the then realized the severity of the situation. He now had only a limited time to get that data and get out, before Cyan got wise to him. He turned and dashed out of the area, turning into the hallway and rushing for the street. He had to regroup and find a way to get inside...
24. Hmmm... If you are already at that point, here are some of my best suggestions... In terms of weapons, try an get
Mastermune
or Spectral Swallow, to get Spectral Swallow (or any other spectral items) go to Marbule after it is reconstructed (I forget which world) and go into the cave where Black Dragon was, talk to a guy there and buy the hammer he offers for 2000 gold or somehting like that. Equip it on Zappa, and go to the other Zappa in the other world and talk to him. He'll build himself a Spectral Axe, and then you can build Spectral weapons. If you need explanations on how to get ingredients, or other weapons PM me, it's hard and I don't want to explain now. In any case, you should use Glenn if you have him, and equip him with 2 Einlanzers, which I can explain if you PM me. Ok, now for the actual battle... Serge shold be equipped with your strongest White magic, including Holy Healing -4 and use his Tech Elements whenever you get the chance. I reccomend equipping him with a Power or Magic Tab, as well as Dragoon's Honor or something else. Use Glenn if you have him, if not, try someone with high magic skills. If you use Glenn, Tech Attacks are your best friend, including Glenn and Serge's X-Strike, which can be attained by having Glenn gain enough power to use Lvl. 3 Elements, then switching to Serge and using Dash N Slash, which then turns to X Strike, or vice versa. If you don't have Glenn, equip your third character with healing and Black/White attack elements, as well as Magic Tabs and Dreamers Items. If you can, get Black Hole Traps and use them on the Black monster, and the other White magic traps on the White monster. If you have major problems with characters low on HP, use Serge's Holy Healing -4 to recover all your HP, but only when you need to. Use Kid as your other character, as she can sometimes steal good stuff, as well as have some mean tech skills. Good luck, If your problems continue, please PM me and I can try to help more.
25. Well, yes you can transfer AC3 data to AC SL, and you can basically transfer everything... It makes the game much easier at the start if you got OP-INTENSIFY with some of the better functions. Also, you start out with your 3 AC's from AC 3, and all your money and pilot name. However, be prepared to take your old AC's where they have never gone before, so to speak. There are so many new parts around that you should definetely change your AC designs after you play the game. Even if you think that you like your AC's the way they are, you should change them. If you want to know how to get OP-INTENSIFY powers, let me know, also, if you want any combat or mission info, as well as reccomendations, you can ask me too. AC is my life, just look at my banner and avi.
