What is the strangest thing you've ever eatten
Kanariya replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
The strangest things I've eaten in general? Well, as a whole, I wanted to go 'super' natural when it came to eating vegetables, so I ate grass and leaves at a small point in my life. I find it quite not tasty. Also, the stuff in my nails. Don't try eating that please. By the way, I like eel sushi. And squid too, but I don't consider that really 'strange' since it's basically meat, just not meat most people I know consider eating. -
Rice pudding! Kozy Shack's European Style Rice Pudding is the best fricken thing on the planet. There are generally 6 servings for the big containers, but I'll end up usually find myself halfway through in about two minutes.
*bows down* I love that stuff; I ate almost the whole container once, it was that irresistable. My Computer: Every time I come home from school, I find myself sitting in front of my computer in this uncomfortable chair. I do a few things; post here, post other places, IM, rip a CD or two, and play The Sims or some City-Building game. (Currently now it's Pharaoh; I don't care if it's kinda old) Music: Music is a big thing in my life. I can't be relaxing without music playing, and I find myself doing better and more motivated on things when music is playing. It doesn't matter what kind, I just love music. Butterscotch Hard Candies: Sweetness, endless yummy sweetness. I resist from eating at least three every two days though.

I was off school once, and I had failed FFX the night before because I hated the object of a sphere grid so I didn't use one (Talk about stupidity). So, starting at nine o'clock AM, I played that game straight, no stops, until seven o'clock PM. Not much, but I found it one of the most damn laziest moments of my life. Note, I came prepared with a bag of Tostitos and 1 liter of carbonated water. Good times though.

Ooh, fun. I chose one of my favorite albums yet. Ayumi Hamasaki - I am... 1. I am... (5:31) A song, starting off calm and slightly mysterious, and then during chorus guitar and drums; a good change for the song. Her voice in the song isn't too too powerful, but it makes a nice impact. 7/10 2. opening Run (0:57) No vocal, but fast paced, easy listening to, with various sounds. Personally, it reminds me of running through green plains with a slightly cloudy atmosphere. 10/10 3. Connected (3:21) This song is probably one of the more different songs on the album. Rather then percussion, etc., it has more of an electronic feel, and considerably shorter then most songs released. 9/10 4. UNITE! (4:59) A kind of fast paced song, but fun none the less with a more rock-based background, and a cool mini instrumental towards the three-minute mark. 8/10 5. evolution (4:41) No doubt, most Ayu fans should know this song. Calm in the beginning, but then progresses, becoming more upbeat and adding instruments. Her voice sounds more 'nasally' in this one, though, not good on her part. Similar to the previous song, but if I were to choose evolution would beat it. 8/10 6. Naturally (4:17) Like Connected, Naturally has a more electronic feel, but is longer and she sings more in this one. It's basically straightforward, but not too bad of a song none the less. 7/10 7. NEVER EVER (4:41) It's cute. The beginning has a cute feel to it, along with almost every other part besides the chorus. Like I am..., when the chorus comes drums and guitars come in. Pretty nice vocal, and fits with the music. 8/10 8. still alone (5:56) Unlike the previous songs, this rock song approaches a more 'sad' theme, and quite frankly one of the best songs on the CD. Voice strained towards the end, but otherwise a good song that accompanies a rainy or cloudy day. 9/10 9. Daybreak (4:48) Not exactly a rock song, because of the pop feeling. Upbeat, but not really classified as a really 'fun' song. Although, nice after played 'still alone'. 7/10 10. taskinlude (1:20) I really don't know how to classify this interlude. It's a mixture of sounds that's straightforward. It's not as interesting as opening Run in my opinion, and I usually skip it. 5/10 11. M (4:28) M has got to be one of the more powerful songs of this CD. Rather then usual chorus every other couple of verses, it only appears at the middle-end, and it gives quite a great impact. It has a good beat, and voice with it sounds good together. 9/10 12. a song is born (6:17) Pretty simple, but her vocal is better in this song. She lets it reach high during parts, but it manages to stay low at the same time. No sudden guitars or drums, which makes the single with Keiko a bit more interesting then the solo song. 7/10 13. Dearest (5:33) One of the more famous ballads, Dearest is calm, but has some beauty to it. Nice and slow, and keeps that pace throughout the song. 7/10 14. no more words (5:47) Nice and soft, and may I say I prefer it over Dearest. It starts off for about a minute calm with no big 'impacts', but rather for me an image of dawn. Then instruments come in, followed by her voice. A pretty song indeed. 9/10 15. Endless sorrow - gone with the wind ver. (8:17) Unlike the original, it's more 'natural', and rather a more pop feel then the rock feel in the original. It's a pretty, light song. 8/10 SECRET TRACK - flower garden Oh man, this is a fun song. Always upbeat, it's fast, and the vocals other then hers fit the feel of the song well. Such a disappointement it was so short, but it was good while it lasted. 9/10 I sound like I made more of a review, but oh well. Wonder how long I spent writing this..>

If you could have a store of your own..
Kanariya replied to animeaddict2's topic in General Discussion
If I owned a store of my own, it would be something like Best Buy, big or small that is filled with electronics and various technology. Also, there would be music you usually can't find in stores, in which the kinds you have to buy on amazon.com or if you buy Japanese, Chinese, or Korean music, yesasia.com. There would be music with lots of bass throughout the store, too. That'd be cool. :0 -

Not bad Cat14. The purple theme looks good, and the images 'fit.' I see a border, which is a big plus. The thing that only really bugs me is the font; it's on the border of being hard to read, and just by my taste it seems too 'plain.' I don't know if people spell sense with a c in other places, but if they don't, I see a spelling error. :P My Rating : 8/10

Perceptions of Self vs Social Perception
Kanariya replied to elfpirate's topic in General Discussion
No doubt, agreeing with Retribution, who knows you better then yourself. Other people can help you learn to know yourself better, but in the end you're the only one who really can know yourself better then anyone else. As for strangers perception of me, it differs from people I know well. If someone were to see me, I think they would just dismiss me as just another person, until they would hear me speak. Usually, I play dumb in front of people, giving them the idea I really am as stupid, but some people have noticed through and know me better. Then, these strangers can lead to becoming acquaintances. As for people who still know me to be very 'stupid', they may just talk to me and become aquaintances, or completely ignore me. By image, I would think people I do not know well, dismiss me as another person, nothing too special, but probably a nice person to chat with. But I don't know their thoughts, so I cannot say for sure. I see myself as, another person on the planet, unique in own ways, as everyone else is. People who know me better and have more 'deep' conversations with me usually have a basic idea of me, rather then the 'dumb' image I give off of. Even people close to me don't realize who I really am, except my father at times, and I doubt others are that observant. Again, I can't say for sure. I look into mental actions impacting physical/verbal actions quite a lot, but my thoughts just list off to possibilites. I haven't looked psychology or anything, so I don't know too much about the subject. -
Ever since I learned what 69 meant, that number has been appearing everywhere. It's almost making me insane. Besides that, I have many strange coincidences, but I don't remember most of them. The other day, my friend and I were talking about weird things, and somehow flying buses got in the conversation. I screamed, 'flying buses', and pointed to the sky, and when I looked up, there was an airplane. So, I was like 'Hey, something's flying', and...yeah. They're not the same, but you get my point. Two, my friend and I were talking about Michael Jackson on the bus, and I made the 'hee hee' sound, and immediately afterwards on the radio it said something about the 'hee hee' sound and they played it. Lastly, my friend and I were on the bus (yet again), and someone got into a fight. And being stupid kids, the guys on her bus started screaming 'Jerry! Jerry!' And then one went 'Oprah! Oprah'. I said, 'What's next, Judge Judy?' And then the kid screamed 'Judge Judy!'. Now, when I said that, it was quiet, so I have no idea how he could hear with lots of other people on the bus screaming at the top of their lungs, but it was strange.

Personally, I have no traditions myself because Valentine's Day isn't a really big thing. If anything, my mom gives me a small box of chocolates with a small teddy bear. (Last year I recieved a 'The Blue Book', about to cheer up and not be so sad...>>) But at school they make it ridiculous. On Valentine's Day, many students will dress in white pants, pink or red shirts (even if we have uniforms), have hearts drawn on their skin, and attach pink and red post it notes everywhere on themselves. The school, of course supports the 'romance', and for 75 cents you can send a 'Candygram' to someone, which is I think a piece of paper with candy attached to it or something (I'm not into the whole thing, I don't know for sure). You can buy a flower instead of a candy for a dollar more, if you wish. And naturally, lots of couples will be holding hands or holding each other or something. Heh, Red Rover time.

I use MSN, AIM, and Yahoo!, but rarely Yahoo! anymore because my friends don't use it very much. All of my school friends use AIM, and my out of state friends either have MSN or Yahoo!. And with the out of state friends, I'm talking on MSN most of the time because I like the layout and it's comfortable for me.

I don't like drugs, because they make people so mentally and physically messed up it's sad, not to mention the people around them could get screwed up too. I can say also I don't like people either, for even taking them in the first place, but what can I say, there are so many possibilites to why whatever reason they had to do drugs. If you can take them in moderation, good job. I still don't like them, but I suppose if you can take them in moderation, it's better then being very addictive. Then again, for some people if taking in moderation, after time it can lead to addiction...but I'm just beginning to list off possibilites.. The same applies for alcohol, too.

I've had three names... 1. Inuluvr1: I had no clue what else to put as my name, so at the time, I was a fan of the show, hence 'Inu.' Then hooked on phonics spelling of 'lover', followed by '1' indicating a '#1 Fan' or something. Yes, yes, I was one of those crazed InuYasha fans. Had Inuluvr1 for a while, before I changed to.. 2. Wasabi: I decided I completely didn't like it anymore, and I felt desperate for a name change. So, Wasabi came. And first of all, I hate the green mustard, so I didn't name it after that. Wasabi was the name of my now deceased cat, which my neighbor had taken care of before giving him to us. He was lovable, and had the cutest collar, with a bell on it. I wasn't there when he had died though (from leukemia, in which we didn't even know he had it), so I never got to see him again after death before he was creamated (spl?). Kind of rises sadness as I type. And lastly... 3. Kanariya: I felt the need for another change, and in came Kanariya. This, I think means 'Canary' in Japanese, although not totally sure. I used this for a new AIM screenname (except in mine 674 is after Kanariya), because someone hacked or something into my previous screenname and caused trouble, so I made a new one. I wanted it of an Ayumi Hamasaki song, so there's 'Kanariya.' Then I used it for my new Photobucket account, and now Otakuboards name.

Bah, I feel a not so FF fan now, just because I haven't played at least 5 of them. But I'll list the ones I have played and/or still playing. FFV: Honestly, I can say this Final Fantasy is...okay. I don't find it terribly boring, but I don't find it exciting, either. I sometimes find it hilarious, but sometimes I feel like I'm playing Pokemon on a GameBoy rather then a Final Fantasy. The Job system doesn't particularly annoy me, but it isn't a favorite aspect of the game for me. I just switch jobs now and then, just to be different while playing. FFIII/FFVI: Two words - Kick ***. I'm not very far, but it's awesome as far as I've gotten. I've played this on Super Nintendo, but that was what...one to six years old? I watched my brother kick Kefka's ***, and successfully die at least four times. I remember watching a scene, I think it was in this game (pretty sure it was), when
someone's parents fell into a crater, or something like that; all I know is that it sparked something emotional in me.
All I have to do is find my hidden RPG energy somewhere in my body right now (since I've drifted away FF games since I got into the City Building Series by Sierra), and I'll get back to this. FFX: The great graphics made a big plus for me when I played this game from beginning to end. Although I found it very straight forward, but really not too challenging, I enjoyed it. Blitzball isn't my favorite, but I beat the Luca Goers thank goodness. A nice variety of characters, interesting places, and the very annoying Seymour. (Remember him at Gagazet? Pissed me off with his Zombie crap.) Loved the aeons, to the point where I decided what the heck let's get all of them. Omega Weapon was a good challenge, but I was lazy at that point and just killed him off with the Magus Sisters. What was aggravating was getting that 0:00.0 or something time in the Chocobo Race in the Calm Lands to get something for Tidus' Weapon. Took me a freakin' hour. FFX-2: This was actually my first FF played fully through (I technically first played FFIII/FFVI, but not fully, only parts), and damn was I pissed when I saw I only got like 46% completed by the end of the game the first time I beat it. Sidequests do matter. The battle system appealed to me, and the dresspheres were definitely a plus. A bit corny with dialogue, but it was ignored. I can see why this game is bashed though, but it didn't come off as overly girlish to me, even based around a kind of romantic approach. Of course, I missed the aeons, and even
that temple in the Calm Lands. Don't ask why, I thought it was a cool place.

Vegnagun WAS easy though, although the bosses in Bevelle Underground in the final chapter make up for it.
I've always wanted to play FFVII though, because so many people I know have said it is one of the best FF games.

I listen to quite a variety, especially depending on my moods. Most of the time, it's pop, of usually English or Japanese, because pop is one of my favorite genres. Whether it be Christina Aguilera, or Ayumi Hamasaki, I listen to it. The ballads even brighten my dark moods. So, in general, I like happy feelings to songs; to brighten my mood. If I'm bored, or feeling not too excited sometimes, I'm listening to something heavy. Cradle of Filth mainly, but that's rarely since I'm not really into those moods. And if I'm bored, I find myself playing a video game... And other moods associated with music, etc. Also based on my enviornment. Sun = Happy stuff. Rain = Mysterious Stuff. You get the picture. Of course, those rules don't always apply, but in general, I listen to variety of music because they match my moods, and what's around. Plus, I need some kind of music to be on while I type, write, etc. Except Fall Out Boy. Or something like that. For some unknown reason their voices just annoy the hell out of me.

Thank you, ze Monster. Being a teen, only thirteen myself, I really know of nothing about the real 'emo', as described in this thread. Although, I'm more familiar with the 'neo-emo'... It would be quite surprising if one of them actually killed themselves, rather then mope on about it. The neo-emo I know of are people to be quite attractive, healthy, with good grades, and anything they could possibly want. They're moping on and cutting themselves because their boyfriends or girlfriends decided 'You know what? I don't like you anymore.' Not to be stereotypical, but, in my case at school it's true. Sure, I'll try to help people who have issues, and get them to feel good about themselves if they feel really bad and/or have low self-esteem. But I don't get it when they say 'Why can't I be happy and I hate life' and crap like that..well then try to get help and be happy. Your life isn't going to get better unless you do something about it, and if you don't even attempt, it isn't going to get better. At a point I wish they did kill themselves and would save the world from their own pity. >>
At the moment, its raining really hard here in Maryland, not a pretty picture since I had to walk to school today. But for now it died down but its still very cloudy and grey outside, make you wanna go to sleep, lol :animesigh
Woo, I found a Marylander! =) I live in B-More though, don't know about you. But honestly, I think the weather here is really not all that bad. If I lived outside, I bet my mind would change quickly though. Currently, it's 32 degrees Farenheit, and at 8:36 PM (according to weather.com, I do not go outside usually), and when I do go outside, it's after school, and boy is it windy. It usually looks very good though; the sun's out, a bit windy, but otherwise I'm not all that cold. I usually can just skip the jacket or coat and be fine. Sometimes the mornings aren't all that great though, especially when you have wet hair.

I can't say I really have a favorite color, because a color to me is different depending on a mood I have. If I'm happy, I'll decorate something in white, green, orange. etc. but for a deeper theme, of course darker. But as I was younger, and for since I can remember, my 'favorite' color has been deep purple. Because most people liked the color blue and not purple, I felt someone had to like it, and so, yeah. It grew onto me, and I like it. I don't know what it's symbolizes, so I can't say how it affects my personality.

Jokes - You got any you want to share?
Kanariya replied to Shadow Blade's topic in General Discussion
I remembered these, and they're probably from somewhere on the net. A woman is playing golf and she hits her golfball in the woods. While searching for it, she saw a frog caught in a trap. The frog said, "If you release me from this trap, I will grant you three wishes but whatever you wish for your husband will get ten times more or better." For the first wish, the woman wanted to become the most beautiful woman in the world. The frog warned her, "You do know that if you wish this, your husband will be the most beautiful man in the world, the woman will flock to him, and..." "That's okay." So the woman became the most beautiful woman in the world. For the second wish, the woman wanted to become the richest woman in the world. The frog warned her, "That will make your husband the richest man in the world, ten times richer then you, and.." "That's okay." So the woman became the richest woman in the world. The frog then asked for her third wish, and she replied, "I'd like a mild heart attack." ~ Sexual Theme. I'll put a spoiler up just for safe caution. There is a fly hovering six inches above the water. Unknown to the fly, there is a fish under the water, and the fish thought, 'Well, if the fly comes down six inches, I can eat the fly.' Unaware to the fish there was a bear nearby, and the bear thought, 'Well if the fly comes down six inches, the fish will eat the fly, and then I'll get a chance to eat the fish.' Unaware to the bear there was a hunter nearby, and the hunter thought, 'Well if the fly comes down six inches, the fish will eat the fly, the bear will eat the fish, and I'll get a chance to shoot the bear.' There was a pack of food beside the hunter, and unaware to the hunter there was a mouse nearby, and the mouse thought, 'Well, if the fly comes down six inches, the fish will eat the fly, the bear will eat the fish, the hunter will shoot the bear, and I'll get an opportunity to get into the pack of food.' Unaware to the mouse there was a cat nearby, and the cat thought, 'Well if the fly comes down six inches, the fish will eat the fly, the bear will eat the fish, the hunter will shoot the bear, the mouse will get into the pack of food and I'll have a chance to eat the mouse.' So, the fly came down six inches, the fish at the fly, the bear got the fish, the hunter shot the bear, the mouse got into the pack of food, but the cat over estimated his jump and instead of landing on the pack of food and the mouse, he landed in the water. What's the moral of the story?
If the fly comes down six inches, you get a wet *****.
-
Nah. I'm sure there are teens that know right from wrong, and can make good decisions. But as an overall, no. Teens are more likely to be under such influence and pressure rather then adults, and most likely still growing up and figuring out themselves and making decisions. So, give them time. It's always a possibility they couldn't make such 'great' decisions, even by the time they reach to vote, but the human race is far from perfect, so..That's only my opinion, don't kill me.

Plenty of stupid things I've done, but this incident was just the stupidest in general. This girl, claming she was 'attracted to girls', hooks me on, telling me I was good looking and that she would want to kiss me and go out with me. So, one day on the bus, I told her I would like to make out, and so...we did. Then later, she suddenly decides 'oh, that was an accident and I don't like girls' and forgets the incident. That led to a few things. One, my other friend who I very much adore told me how much she was talking about me behind my back. That incident with the make out happened a year ago, and just about two months ago my friend told me ever since, she talked about me in disgust, saying as I'm a 'dirty lesbian', and told my friend that my other friend had played friendly with me all along. It's not a real shock, because I noticed this girl had begun to 'compete' for attention against me, and quite frankly, I hope she sees soon that I don't give a damn about how many more people like her rather then me. I cleared it up with my friend who wasn't sure what was going on (who told me the girl was lying about me), and everything is straight again. The girl still talks to me, and she does her absolute best to be different and prove she's better then me. Oh well. It's just some stupid teenager crap. I try my best to avoid these situations now, but I know they're gonna come up again.

My Average Saturday: I wake up at seven AM, and then lay in bed until eight watching The History Channel or listening to music. Then I empty the dishwasher, and then I play on my PS2 for a good hour, and then make myself breakfast (an egg with cheese usually). After that, I play on my PS2 again, and then play on my computer. Then I switch back and forth from PS2 and my computer, until about eight. Then I usually have pizza, sub, something quick, and then go back to the pattern and this lasts until probably twelve to two AM. My Perfect Saturday: Get up around nine. Then in bed, watching Law and Order while talking to my friend on the phone. Then I'd eat, sleep again, and just drift from then on until a good hour in the morning. Notice I'm a lazy a**.

Your Idea of the most romantic date
Kanariya replied to Tical's Foxboy's topic in General Discussion
Idea of a romantic date...cute thread. We'd party/have fun for a good portion of the night, and then we'd chill by sitting on a couch at his or her house in the dark talking about anything about ourselves and our opinions and views. And then when we'd be tired, we'd sneak in a small but nice peck on the lips and just sleep on opposite sides of the couch. We'd be close emotionally, but somewhat distanced physically. As long as we really knew we liked each other, it'd be all that would really matter. -
Nice topic. When I say 'I love you', I usually don't mean it. If I say 'I love you' to one of my 'friends', it's usually sarcasm, because my 'friends' and I have a friendly-hate relationship. One in particular gets pissed at me just because I have different views, which is utter bull to me. Minus one person, who's actually a friend, whom I talk to on the phone everyday, and share lots of things with, when I say I love you to her it's to mean I really care for her and that I am thankful and glad she's there. But as for serious relationship, I don't use the term. I don't know what love is (the kind of love you feel for a special someone, I know, I love the romance), and I don't believe I'll reach that point as for really 'loving' someone until I can understand it better. Crushes are different from love to me.
