Oh shweetness. Picture quality is awesome and the abstract background color and texture nicely goes with the picture. Also the text fits right in there. The banner size is perfect for this and not a tad to big. Very well done I must say. I see no need for improvement here except that the text could maybe be moved a little to the left so it isn't touching with the border.

Ah yes I remember some of these and you know what, I liked them then also. Desbreko Spell : What can I say? It's a pixel banner, It's funny and somewhat... orginal, lol. There isn't much that could go wrong with this one. The text perhaps could of been different but it looks fine the way it is. Metroid: Zero Mission : Oh this is one I remembered right off. I really think this one came out well. Nothing to me seems wrong with it, except for the picture of the "mother brain" (I think that's what you call it) Looks a bit blurry. Perhaps you tried enlarging the orginal picture or the picture was already a tad on the blurry/fuzzy side. Nicely done though. Four Swords Adventures : My favorite of the bunch. I love everything about this banner. The color, the texture the fitting of the pictures, They were all done very well. The text on the logo is unreadable, but I don't think that's to important. Hero of Winds : Nice picture. The banner is plain compaired to the last two and doesn't have any texture. The text takes up a majority of the space and it just doesn't quite appeal to me. Femme Fatale : Cropping is smooth and the background image goes great. The text covers up her eyes and is right in the center. Once again, you used the text as a filler. I suggest not doing that, but to instead add some absract graphics or another image. The Legend Returns : Hmm... The picture of Link is good quality but the background picture doesn't seem to go with it. The drawing with the game graphics just doesn't seem to fit when I look at it. The quote is cool but maybe if it was more mysterious and not so big I would get a cool feeling from it. Get Down Tonight : Ha Auron you drunk. Funny indeed but the background, eh. I can see that's it's Auron but it's darkened and just doesn't go along with the quote. It's the Subtlety : Getting a little more creative with this one. The green striped background seems a bit plain and looks like it was done in MSpaint. Yet again the text is a little on the BIG side. (hehe sorry I know I'm picky) Oh My Goddess : Oh my goodness, lol. Much better job with the texting. I assuming you did text that yourself >_> Because It's Cute : Ah! Not so cute. They look evil and poor quality! The text... It's pink... *shudders* (Sorry not much to say about this one xD) Ranma ½ : These last banners have pretty much been just one picture cropped out to fit a banner it seems. A perfect explain would be this one. It could use some other Ranma related pictures with it. Sasami-chan : This one is the only one out of them with the large text in the center that I find to be cooly-o (Yes, I did just use a nonexistent word right there) The light red shadow around the text is a nice touch and the picture is good quality. The background image is also a plus. Well done. Phew... Sorry I couldn't say to much about some of the banners, but atleast I posted and I hope this helps you out with future banners. *out of breath. falls out of chair* ^_^;; Hope to see more fom you.

What deep thought or quote do you think of regularly?
Stuart replied to Kyoko Makashiro's topic in General Discussion
I'm regulary thinking of how I can be a better person. It's something that's on my mind each and every day. "Make the best of it" and "Live life to the fullest" Are more than just quotes, They're my way of life. -
with no pulp: Hey SmarterChild: Hey Stuart. with no pulp: Define "friend" SmarterChild: friend: Noun 1. A person whom one knows, likes, and trusts. 2. A person whom one knows; an acquaintance. 3. A person with whom one is allied in a struggle or cause; a comrade. 4. One who supports, sympathizes with, or patronizes a group, cause, or movement: friends of the clean air movement.

Precious Set: Indeed "precious. Yes, I'll admit you did a good job on your choice for font and the texting, but yoy know what it's lacking... A background. The Awaken Set: I can see some flaws in the cropping, but it's only noticeable to the keen eye. The background is a bit dark and seems somewhat plain. The text you choose to use for this banner doesn't appeal to me, and the color of the text is a lot brighter than the text on the banner xD. Nice one. Playful Set:: My favorite one you've ever made so far. The picture is clear and crisp, Nicely cropped and fitted into the banner. The background design and color both go very nicely with the picture and the font is also ONCE AGAIN done well. I love the little Kitty picture. I just may have to steal this one from you because I adore it so >_> Angel Set: All I can realy say is... What the heck is with the writting? Did you just scribble it on there or what? I like the faded out text though, that looks nice. Yet again though, you made a backgroundless banner and left the open area white. You may want to redo it and make a background. I'm in a study hall right now in school so I better get going. You're improving more and more, I look forward to seeing more work from you Kitty! Oh and gimme a call tonight if you can't get on AIM.

The absract background is a plus but I find that the picture its self was WAY to over lighted *puts sunglasses on* It kind messed with the color, It's a nice effect but I suggest fixing the color. The text is pixeled. It looks nice and stands out perfectly but I effect with the text could be a plus. Overall It's a pretty cool banner and VERY bright

Art The Nightmare Before Christmas Bannerwork
Stuart replied to Dragon Warrior's topic in Creative Works
I'm told I resemble him in the fact that I am tall, skinny, and have his uncanny walk. Though that's not always a compliment, I've taken a liking to him character a little more because of it.
Ohh I hear ya, I once was nicknamed "Bone Daddy" for the longest time in little school. I also I'm a fan of Tim Burton's style and not just the movie its self, So of course the banners would catch my eye. I like how they each are different sizes depending on the image. Each picture is crystal clear and the text isn't out of place. There isn't anything absract about them but then again It's Tim Burton and you don't mess with his masterpiece. Cool Job. I enjoy the "A landscape shot of Halloween world" the most. *steals it* -
R.L Stine of course. The writer of many different children series, Such as; "Goosebumps" and "Fear street". R.L Stine's books, Although short and easy to read, The storys were always kept interesting and the books were almost impossible to put down once you begin because he ends each chapter with a dead end or something happens that you just need to find out in the chapter ahead. The "Goosebumps" series was once in the Guinness book of world records for the best selling childrens book, That was until "Harry Potter" came along. R.L Stine also wrote many other books. His "Choose your own story" books were always fun to read but sometimes confusing when you lost where you last left off xD.I once owned the entire collection of the "Goosebumps" series until my cat just happened to spray them before he was nudered... It's such a shame. Yes I know I picked the Author of a children's book. I'm not ashamed.

I don't think everyone saw it but in my opening post I said that you could post "Who you'd like to meet?" also. Give some reaons as to why.
Okay, I'm gonn feel really silly writing this but... I met Bill Nye the Science Guy Before!!!
That is the best one I've heard so far. It's to bad you don't remember it. I'd love to meet that guy. I remember watching that show every day after school in the second grade. That man was my idol through most of elementary school. My friends would sometimes give me the nickname "Bill Nye" because I was such a fan of that show and I was a wiz kid when it came to Science. Couldn't of done it without good ol' Bill.
Does Stone Cold Steve Austin count?
Yep. He sure does.
A couple of key people were going to do OB skins for me as a kind of job, but they kind of dropped off the face of the earth. So that hasn't really helped. But having said that, I may directly recruit one or two staff to specifically develop skins for OB. .
I'd be willing to help out with any graphic help if needed. I know I'm not staff or anything but I'm not planning on dropping off the face of the earth anytime soon.

*posting because I promised I would, and if not I'd die to the hand of Boo* Well I acutally prefer the banner over the icon, I dislike how alike your banner and avatar are. The tile/scanline effect works for the banner but I don't feel the same way about the avatar. The picture of the girl on the avatar seems different and out of place compaired with the banner (just how I feel) I like the placing of your name and the text used. Also the symbol text which I don't understand is a nice touch. The picture blends well into the colors and is just simply done. Well done. Good, good.

Well earlier today I was given the news that Seth Mcfarlane, The man we all know as the creator of "Family guy" and the up coming "American dad", Is going to be HERE! In Burlington Vermont and lucky me, I live a 30 mintue drive away from there. He's going to be putting on a show at the Universty of Vermont this thursday. Tickets are on sale and my friends mom is hopefully going up to buy them tomorrow or tonight. It's really exciting to think that I could be meeting one of the most genius minds I know of. I've been spamming this to my friends all day. Someone also told me that they anouced this on [adult swim] just last night, Anyone see it? Anyways as I sit here day dreaming about Seth Mcfarlane a good idea for a thread discussion popped into my head "Hey why not make a thread about if anyone has met someone big, and who they'd want to meet" (It sounded better in my head) Thus this thread is born

Hmm.. Well like I just got done telling you on AIM, I was surprised by the second set's background. It's pretty flashy and the cropping looks perfect *takes a second look*. I dislike the text though... I'm very picky when It comes to texting a banner (that's why I can never text my own hardly >.

In the fourth grade I took a trip with my mom, her sister and my uncle to Hawai. That was an awesome trip. We went to a different beach every day and drove around the entire island, Visting all the hot spots. I wish I could remember everything but my memory isn't so good. We have plenty of pictures to remind me of it though. Wyoming was by far most my favorite of the two. We traveled there to see my brother who is my only brother who lives out of state. It was amazing there. I love the outdoors so seeing wildlife and nothing but wide open fields and mountains everywhere it was just so awesome. My brother rented an RV for the week and every day he would bring us to a new location, Including YellowStone national park. The hot springs felt so prehistoric and the feeling was just overwhelming. We are going back there this summer yet again. Can't wait. I'm going to Germany in the fall. LONG plane ride, Can't wait.
Your custom title isn't helping me much though... "Extreme?" Harold & Kumar go to White Castle [/I'] pops into my mind when I hear it.
Yes that changed often also. "It's Extreme" is just what me and my friends say a whole lot when we are bored and we just have a little to much fun yelling it out at times.
You either love violence, or just the cool name[/SIZE'].
I wouldn't say I love violence but I sure always am interested in a cool name. My orginal name on the boards was "Stuart". If you look at other names I use, Like for AIM you'd see that It's not very violent or a cool name at all but just orginal. An orginal name is something I'd always like to have. However it doesn't seem to be the case with my current one. If you think I change my profile, avatar and signature on the boards a lot, You wouldn't believe how often I change my AIM buddy icon. -

Stuart replied to shinji172's topic in General Discussion
My avatar and sig change almost every week simply out of boredom, So this is a hard thread to reply too. Well I make all my own avatars and banners and they usually represent the current thing I'm into or something I just find catchy at the time, Which is always changing. -
I don't have many thoughts on our new pope but, I think it's pretty cool he as his own e-mail benedictxvi@vatican.va (I kid you not) I was surprised to see this when surfing around on MSNBC. Pretty neat? We can e-mail the pope.

Well here's the first banner I've made in away that I've acutally posted on the boards. I've been working on it off and on during the day and finally got it done, After my computer died two times while working on it XD. It's Alan (uhh what's is last name?) from my oh so favorite Big O. The picture on the right got a little messed up during the whole "lighten" process and I just didn't bother working on it anymore. When I showed a friend of mine the first draft he darkened the picture on the left and also brightened the right side. I colorized them as you can see... Anyways give me some comments on this beast of a banner. I know there is no TEXT! Texting is a nightmare for me, so if anyone wants to text this banner be my guest.
Holy bajeezus, you're doing that[/i'] with PSP?! I didn't think it possible!
I find that offensive Lan, I too use PSP and I make wonderful banners >> I'm just kidding with. ANYWAYS The banners look nice... To bad they're isn't anything mistakes I can point out for everyone to see, hehe. Uhh.. The text looks nice. I don't like the text on the second one though *looks sideways* Nope, I still can't read it. Good work though Kitty.

My favorite ring tone to this date the Dragostea Din Tei tone (Numa Numa dance song). One of my friends uses it has his ringtone and I call him up all the time when I'm just standing next to him on my cell phone, Not only to piss him off but because that song is just so cool and when we hear it when just do that little dance.

I had a black kitten who we lost, but not because I didn't luff himbecause I gave that kitty cat tons of kitty cat lovins but we let him outside a lot and one day he didn't come back v_v. Hes name was Raven because he was an all black kitty.

Well I love the picture, the rain effect and the coats are just to good, but I don't like the dark gray font color. I love the font you used but I just dislike how hard it is to read, if only it stood out more I'd find it really awesome.

Heres a short piece that I wrote for my persuasive essay on Tetris. Tetris is one of the few games that achieves ultimate popularity. It is remarkably simple, yet remarkably difficult. It's been ported to every computer and game console known to man, and has sold millions of cartridges, tapes, and disks across the land. Everybody who played video games knows Tetris, the world's most famous puzzle game, known for its spawning of countless imitators, and the Nintendo-Atari lawsuit. Nintendo brought out a version of Tetris to the NES, and it's a great game. The object is very simple: these geometric pieces fall down the screen and you have to rotate them to form lines. Making a full line horizontally causes it to disappear, and gives you points. You can even move pieces to remove two or three or, with a four-bar piece, four lines (that's a Tetris). Broken lines with gaps will cause the pile to rise higher and higher, and if the pile touches the top of the creen, the game is over. It's simplistic, but takes awhile to trulymaster. That's one of the game's charms. The graphics aren't very good. All you see is the screen and the pieces, which change color depending on the level, so I guess that's a plus. The sounds are alright with nice sound effects and three different musics to choose from, including a neat version of Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker Suite." The controls are very easy to use. Button B rotates the piece to the left, and Button A rotates it to the right. Pressing Down will just speed up the descent of the pieces, unlike the PC versions, which would just cause it to fall. According to psychologist In first-time users, Tetris significantly raises cerebral glucose metabolic rates (GMRs), meaning brain energy consumption soars. Tetris trains your brain to stop using inefficient gray matter, perhaps a key cognitive strategy for learning. In fact, the lowest final GMRs are found in the best players' brains, the ones most efficient at dealing with Tetris's Daedalian geometry.

Candy land is for the eXtreme, Much like myself. No not really Candy land is to cool of a game for me. I cannot handle the "Candy land". I enjoy Risk and Monopoly over any other board game there is out there. Both are time consuming games which take a lot of thought and strategy and both are more fun with the more players you have.

Ok this may sound a little odd but I'm doing a report for my english class on... Tetris and I have a wonderful report all about Tetris and it's goodness but in my report I need an opposing arguement on why people might dislike Tetris. Now I already know many people simply say "It's lame" or "It's boring" but I need something a little more deep, So I have come to ask my fellow OBers' for a little help out with this one. Now I won't just won't copy/paste your remarks to my report. You have my word that you will be properly quoted and added to my report. I know it's hard to think that someone could bad mouth Tetris, Thats why I need help out on this one. What are the negatives of Tetris?
