I thought it was "If lifes gives you lemons, find someone who's lifes giving them vodca and have a party." Or something close along those lines. Maybe he says both ^^; That's one hell of a quote to live by, lol. I'm not going to save your sorry ***" and I turned and said in what might be the the most funny confident voice ever-- "You only drown if you stay under water for too long." and leaped in. My friends still laugh at me for that, even today. If you think about it though-- It's quite the intelligent and very tue =P If I can ponder up so more I'll add em.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Bible?s Text The Bible refers to many the common animals we know today. The list includes lions, wolves, bears, sheep, cattle and dogs along with various kinds of birds, rodents, reptiles, and insects. What is interesting is that this extensive list includes three animals that we no longer recognize. These three are (in the original Hebrew language) tanniyn, b@hemowth (yes, it?s spelled correctly?at least as close as I can get in Roman characters), and livyathan. Although we alter the spelling of behemoth and Leviathan slightly, we still use those same words in bibles today. However, tanniyn is always translated into another word when we write it in English. Tanniyn occurs 28 times in the Bible and is normally translated ?dragon.? It is also translated ?serpent,? ?sea monster,? ?dinosaur,? ?great creature,? and ?reptile.? Behemoth and Leviathan are relatively specific creatures, perhaps each was a single kind of animal. Tanniyn is a more general term, and it can be thought of as the original version of the word ?dinosaur.? The word ?dinosaur? was originally coined in 1841, more than three thousand years after the Bible first referred to ?Tanniyn.? To make things clearer, we constructed the following table comparing the scientific names with the Biblical names tanniyn, behemoth, and Leviathan. How we got these new names is interesting. In 1822, Mary Ann Mantell became the first person to discover and correctly identify a strange bone as part of a large, unknown reptile. Her husband, Dr. Gideon Mantell, later named this creature an ?Iguanodon.? From that time forward, these forgotten animals were given names chosen by the people who rediscovered them. Of course, the Bible, written between approximately 1450 BC and 95 AD, does not include any of these names. Behemoth has the following attributes according to Job 40:15-24
It ?moves his tail like a cedar.? (In Hebrew, this literally reads, ?he lets hang his tail like a cedar.?)

Its ?bones are like beams of bronze,

His ribs like bars of iron.?

?He is the first of the ways of God.?

?He lies under the lotus trees,

In a covert of reeds and marsh.?
Some bibles and study bibles will translate the word ?behemoth? as ?elephant? or ?hippopotamus.? Others will put a note at the edge or bottom of the page, stating that behemoth was probably an elephant or a hippopotamus. Although an elephant or hippopotamus can eat grass (or lie in a covert of reeds and marsh), neither an elephant or a hippopotamus has a ?tail like a cedar? (that is, a tail like a large, tapered tree trunk). In your kid?s dinosaur book you will find lots of animals that have ?tails like a cedar.? We would expect behemoth to be a large land animal whose bones are like beams of bronze and so forth, so whatever a behemoth is, it is large. A key phrase is ?He is the first of the ways of God.? This phrase in the original Hebrew implied that behemoth was the biggest animal created. Although an elephant or a hippopotamus are big, they are less than one-tenth the size of a Brachiosaurus, the largest (complete) dinosaur ever discovered. [1] A Brachiosaurus could therefore easily be described as ?the first of the ways of God.? Leviathan has the following attributes according to Job chapter 41, Psalm 104:25,26 and Isaiah 27:1. This is only a partial listing?just enough to make the point.
?No one is so fierce that he would dare stir him up.?

?Who can open the doors of his face, with his terrible teeth all around??

?His rows of scales are his pride, shut up tightly as with a seal; one is so near another that no air can come between them; they are joined one to another, they stick together and cannot be parted.?

?His sneezings flash forth light, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning. Out of his mouth go burning lights; sparks of fire shoot out. Smoke goes out of his nostrils, as from a boiling pot and burning rushes. His breath kindles coals, and a flame goes out of his mouth.?

?Though the sword reaches him, it cannot avail; nor does spear, dart, or javelin. He regards iron as straw, and bronze as rotten wood. The arrow cannot make him flee; slingstones become like stubble to him. Darts are regarded as straw; he laughs at the threat of javelins.?

?On earth there is nothing like him, which is made without fear.?

Leviathan ?played? in the ?great and wide sea? (a paraphrase of Psalm 104 verses 25 and 26?get the exact sense by reading them yourself).

Leviathan is a ?reptile [a] that is in the sea.? (Isaiah 27:1)
Note: The word translated ?reptile? here is the Hebrew word tanniyn. This shows that ?Leviathan? was also a ?tanniyn? (dragon). Unlike behemoth, who is huge, Leviathan is ferocious and terrifying. Many references (we have not listed them all) refer to the sea, so Leviathan is probably a sea creature. Although some bibles refer to Leviathan as an alligator or crocodile (and both of these are fierce) neither of these is a sea creature. They like the water, but they spend much of their time on land. Further, the question ?Who can open the doors of his face. . . .? implies that nobody can open Leviathan?s jaws. Although an alligator's jaws cannot normally be forced open, a punch to their sensitive snout or poke in eye might startle them enough to release their grip. [2] Although this is a good description of an alligator characteristic, it does not fit perfectly with the description of Leviathan, which in the context of the Bible was supposed to describe an essentially impossible event, and we are not done yet. The description of the scales is interesting. Several verses describe these great scales. Compared to Leviathan?s armor, iron is like straw and arrows ca not make it flee. Let?s face it, an arrow can do a lot of damage to a crocodile or alligator. This is not a description of either of them?or any living animal we are aware of. And now for the key ingredient: fire. It is hard to read Job 41:18-21 without realizing the Bible is telling us that Leviathan breathes fire. That alone will eliminate almost every living animal. Yes, there is one animal like that in today?s world. It is called a bombardier beetle. This beetle is a native of Central America, and has a nozzle in its hind end that acts like a little flame thrower. It sprays a high-temperature jet of gas (fueled by hydroquinones and hydrogen peroxide with oxidative enzymes) for protection. Now, if a Central American beetle can do it, so could Leviathan. By the way, crocodiles and alligators are out of the picture on this one, don?t you agree? Before we leave the topic of fire, there are two more notes you may find interesting:
The history of every culture is filled with stories of fire-breathing dragons. If you think about it, in all the past ages wouldn?t someone have made up a story of a fire-breathing lion or something? Nobody did because the dragon stories are based on truth, and only ?dragons? breathed fire. It is easy to imagine Leviathan as a member of the dragon (tanniyn) family. (Plus, Isaiah 27:1 strongly implies this connection.)

Many fossil dinosaur skulls contain unexplained, empty passages. Scientists have not been able to guess the reason for these passages. Would it make sense that some dinosaurs used these passages as ?gas tanks? for the combustible mixture used to ?breathe fire?? We believe it does.
Comparing all this information to the description in your kid?s dinosaur book, you may come up with the conclusion that Leviathan is a kronosaurus. We have heard (and read) other suggestions, but the kronosaurus is the best match of any known creature to the description of Leviathan. The Accuracy of the Bible Some people believe that the Bible is not a scientifically accurate book, and that it is only a ?spiritual book,? that forgot about dinosaurs or described them incorrectly. This is not the case. Nobody has ever proven that the Bible contains any inaccurately recorded information. 7.
Dinosarus are as real as UFO's.
There's a problem with that theory. We don't have museums full of Alien remains, however we do with Dinosaurs. You can't even begin compare the existence of Dinosaurs to that of UFOs or Dragons. There just isn't evidence to support that UFOs or Dragons exsist(ed). This seems almost like a silly topic, but I believe that the science of dinosaurs is one that the bible can not argue with. Dinosaurs once roamed the earth, 60 million years ago; That is a fact. I, being an atheist, do not believe a word of the bible. I find the bible to be just as real as UFOs. I can believe that this is a touchy subject for religious groups, but in all honesty... How far will they go with thier beliefs? To deny the exsistence of something placed in their faces, cased in museums, all because there wasn't any talk about Dinosaurs in the bible? I find that ridiculus. I'd like to continue with my thoughts, later. Right now I'm going to get some rest. If dinosaurs didn't exsist paleontoligests would be out of a job =P
 8.
I disagree with the google thing. I don't know if it's only my browser but searching Japanese words or going to Japanese websites tend to turn out in a bunch of question marks.
That all depends on what you type in for a search. When I typed in "Japanese words", I was given quite a plentiful list of sites that list of common Japanese words and their meanings. Now if I were to type in "Japaness language" I would yet again, be supplied with many more websites concerning Japanese words and learning them. I didn't suggest going to a Japanese website, Silly lol. Now that! I can agree with you on. Any language is too complicated for me to understand. Which is why I'm currently not invovled in any language courses. I think it'd be interested to learn Japanese some day in the future, but then again, I wouldn't benifet any from it. Not like I'm ever going to Japan now, is it? xP
 9. A believe this proves a perfect example of what you're suggesting. It's an idea to look into, I agree. However, that'd be a pain for someone who just wanted to spoiler tag a sentence or word. That's my opinion on it.

The girl looks so sad, and the style of it is peachy! You're not sad, be happay! I like how the background isn't all soild, but it fades in and out in some areas. I don't recommed using the brick texture though. The font and arrows are nice; The pink goes well with the peach/tan colored background, and they've been placed right. I just barely noticed the heart and I don't really like how there isn't a complete lining around it, the tan heart cuts it off. Place the tan heart a little more to the left and place it more in there, and I think it'd look much better. "Fruit" is in a fuzzy font, which I don't find to be very appealing when the rest of the text is very soild and smooth, but then again peach is a fuzzy fruit =P

 13. "Do you, or have you had a personal possesion that is of somewhat importance to you?" As I was siting here looking around for an inspiration that could help me think of an interesting thread topic, I layed eyes a beany baby that I have who sits on my computer monitor. His name is Dinky. Dinky, The duck, was given to me as a birthday present five years back from one of my best friends, Eric. Eric and I have been friends since kindergarden, so I guess that's where it gets it's significance from. For five long years Dinky has stooped on top of my computer, sometimes switching to the top of my TV (Can never decide where he wants to be. Typical Duck). Thus spawned the idea of creating a thread revolved around the question "Do you, or have you had a personal possesion that is of somewhat importance to you?". Another item that is of value to me is one of my dad's old toys that he grew up with, and he's passed it down to me. It's one of those toys where you push down on a button on the bottom and the figure standing up falls limpt, but when you release pressure from the button the figure shoots back up. It's a bit difficult to explain, I guess. It's wooden and very delicate so it just stands on the bookshelf, collecting dust. I haven't seen my father in three years, so when I think about him all I have to do is pull out that toy. Also, some golden tie clips that he left behind; I treasure. I'm sure I have more that just aren't coming to me right now, so I'll stop in and post if I can remember. I have no doubt that yours will be more interesting and of more significant and a deeper value, so I'm interested in hearing some. I lay in bed in the pitch blackness and I hallucinate. I can see one of those aliens from Signs standing over me, reaching out for me. Anything relating to aliens creeps the hell out of me. Even the cute little critter E.T gives me nightmares. 21. I hate to disappoint some of you, but I would like to drop out of this tournament before it begins. I seem to be losing more and more time as each day passes. I can't find the time to open up Paint Shop and work on something. The passion for creating graphics has faded out and I can't find the will to spend a decent amount of time to create something. I could use this as offical OtakuBoards tournament as motivation, but I'd like to sit in the stands on this one. On top of all that school is starting soon and once that hits I will be retired from PaintShop until summer starts up again. It disappoints me somewhat to not take place in this first offical tournament. I'm sorry for those of you who would of liked to see me participate; I know it's heartbreaking, but you'll just have to manage without me. Maybe next years (If there is one). Good luck to all of you, You all are very skilled and have your own unique styles which I'll be looking forward to viewing. The best of luck to all of you, - Stuart

 23. I understand that this thread has died down, but as soon as I read this article I decided to update everyone with what I found. "Takeuchi talks Resident Evil 5 Main character of Capcom's project still unidentified. Next-gen hardware means real physics, meticulous detail, 60 frames per second, and nonlinear gameplay. In an interview published in the latest issue of Famitsu Xbox, Capcom producer Jun Takeuchi revealed new information regarding Resident Evil 5. The game is currently in development for Sony's PlayStation 3 and Microsoft's Xbox 360, and does not yet have a release date. Takeuchi began by emphasizing the level of detail that his staff has put into the development of RE5's trailer, which was shown at Sony's PlayStation meeting and Microsoft's Xbox Summit in Japan. The trailer depicts a lone man exploring a desert city, and a silhouetted group of assailants, presumably zombies (although much more fleet-footed than past Resident Evil games), bearing down on the character. Takeuchi stated that his team worked especially hard on the character's face. He said that each strand of hair of the man's beard was made out of actual polygons. The development team went as far as to actually create the muscles in the man's face, which resulted in natural-looking movement of his skin and realistic facial expressions. The developers apparently also painstakingly detailed areas of the character that aren't normally seen, such as models for each of the man's teeth. However, Takeuchi said he was unsure if the actual game will be able to feature that much detail. While the appearance of the mystery character may be incredibly detailed, his actual identity is not. Many speculate that the character is Chris Redfield, the hero from the original Resident Evil. Takeuchi avoided revealing the character's identity, but did mention that the core developers of RE5 include members of the original RE team, and that the character is someone that the developers are fond of. When told that the unshaven man looked a bit too old to be Mr. Redfield, Takeuchi said that the Resident Evil timeline has continued on, and the hardware capabilities of the next-generation consoles are finally allowing characters to look as old as they're supposed to. According to Takeuchi, his staff hasn't accurately represented the age of characters in previous games due to the limited performance of the platforms. Takeuchi confirmed that that RE5 will be an authentic sequel to the series' main plot rather than a side story (as Resident Evil 4 was), and the developers are considering some kind of a conclusion to the franchise's storyline. When asked if the game will also feature some closure between Chris and Wesker's fiasco, Takeuchi said that Resident Evil 5's production is still in its early stages, so many of the details in the game are still up in the air. As expected, Resident Evil 5 will take advantage of the PS3's and Xbox 360's high-definition graphics. Takeuchi hopes to use real-world physics in the game so objects will react realistically when the player shoots them. Takeuchi said he is considering adopting third-party middleware for its physics engine, such as Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3. The gameplay of RE5 should be similar to Resident Evil 4, which adopted an over-the-shoulder third-person camera. According to Takeuchi, Resident Evil 4 stirred a lot of excitement at Capcom, since director Shinji Mikami had successfully made major changes while still keeping the essence of the series intact. Takeuchi also said that he plans to run the game at 60fps, which is double the frame rate of previous installments in the series. Takeuchi commented that he recently played "Half-Life 2," and he was impressed by how the game's storyline progressed without the need for the player to raise any conditional flags in the game. While he didn't say that he'll take an identical approach, he did say that RE5 is a "next-generation game" and should reflect that in its gameplay. In addition, Takeuchi emphasized he doesn't want RE5 to be too linear, where all that the user does is clear a stage, watch a cutscene, and then follow instructions to go to the next stage. When asked about its release date, Takeuchi explained that next-gen projects easily spend three to five years in development. He added the title is Capcom's current priority. He added that additional information on RE5 wouldn't be released until next year. Gamers can get a glimpse of the work in progress by watching the game's high-definition trailer at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show." - EBgames.com I was amazed by Resident Evil 4. It truely revolutionized Resident Evil, forever. I've gone through the game three times in total and I still can't seem to get enough of it, so I can only imagine Resident Evil 5 will be loaded with suprises that will change the gameplay. I've been following the Resident Evil series' storyline, Even read the novelization to each game, so of course I can't wait to see what becomes of Wesker and the other S.T.A.R.S members. Anyways, just thought I'd share this with everyone.
 24. Ah yes, Excellent picture. It's a bit sketchy but it only adds to the essence of crazyness. Altough I don't look quite as insane, my hair isn't that long and I don't own a toy steering wheel; The drawing looks great. I'm honored that you've made something involving me, and it gives me a warm 'n fuzzy feelin' inside. If you're still interested I can provide you with some pictures that you can ph4kishly manipulate. Now that you've drawn this I need to set up a real life picture of this scene. Despite the fact that it gives me the appearance of a manic, I love it
 25. Eh, I'm not exactly sure the reasoning behind your thread's title. "Baka baka baka baka baka...". Does that have something to with Japanese? I have no idea, but I think it should be changed to something more suitable for this topic. I think to help support a discussion in this thread the topic should be more rather something along the lines of "Can you speak, or understand any Japanese?" That's more efficient than listing off words that you understand in Japanese; It's as simple as searching google and copy/pasting the words here. As for me? I don't know any Japanese; what so ever.
