And I didn't go.. because I have these darn exams... Grrr. I don't really celebrate thanksgiving, but for the past few years I've been going to The One's for lovely turkey and various other foods which are mighty tasty.

That's a sad thing indeed to hear Gokents. I have never really lost someone very close to me at an age where I fully understand what is going on. What I mean is I didn't really understand what was happening when I heard my cousin was shot, I couldn't understand why my mum was always crying. I see killing as something I cannot comprehend fully. Taking someones life away from them is the most terrible form of theft. That person is being robbed of their very existence.. I always find it hard to hear kids who have been killed.. as they had their whole life ahead of them.

Gaming Have any of you been able to beat a whole arcade game with just a quarter?
Red replied to SS5 Gogeta's topic in Noosphere
We have to pay a whole pound in the arcades over here :( I beat Time Crisis 2 with a pound once, I also beat Crazy Taxi and Tekken Tag Tournament. Time Crisis 2 is easy with two people though :D -
A couple of years ago I heard that my cousin had died in Africa after being shot in the head by a student he was teaching. He travelled the world, and he was born in Kenya (pretty cool, since he was Irish by blood), and mostly lived in South Africa. In certain parts of Africa there are virtually no laws against guns. This kid my cousin was teaching misheard that my cousin was talking to the headmaster about him, but he was talking about another boy. The student shot him shortly after I believe. He was a man who had everything to live for... although I hadn't seen him for a while he was by far my favourite relative because he always had exciting stories to tell. The student faced no charges and I'm not sure if he wasn't even suspended from the school.

I've been having sweet dreams :) It's clinically proven that stroking a cat soothes your muscles and calms your mind, making it easier for you to fall to sleep. I just stroke my cat for a while and I fall asleep, although she still wants attention, lol. If you haven't got a cat I suggest staying up and just thinking.. that's what I did 'till 4am :)

Um... Uh.. I never really think these things through, lol. 1) Money ;) 2) Unreal Tournament 2003 3) Band of Brothers boxset 4) A break from school :) That's all I can really think of.. although I don't desperately want those things, I would sure like to have them :D

Mail order them from http://www.anotherworld.co.uk or http://www.kingcat.co.uk. Anyway, I have always thought that the music in the American dubs was poor at the very best. Lord Slug is the best example of the terrible music. Most of the time the music in the fight scenes takes over all the other sound effects, and it gets annoying fast.

Some people can be Otaku's/Extreme Otaku's and so forth, but their post quality may not be good at all, so they're not really the people to look up to, in my opinion.

I hear that a lot of Americans put decorations on the outside of their homes... If I did that I'd probably be arrested due to the housings laws or whatever they have over here. (I live in a flat :()
Elite? you're still awake? o_O
I was up 'till 3.50am :)

Yes we do, as you mentioned in his post about the chatroom. I think Solidus_6 was banned with good reason. His post quality was poor at best, and I had to edit one triple post and one double post by him. The rules are clear and don't take long to read... heck, even I read them when I joined.

It's incredibly easy to moderate an IRC room with a good script, when people try to spam on IRC rooms I have my script boots them off, and getting things such as an L or Q bot can be customised for anti-flood controls and so forth. A problem would be the non-OB members, but we could just give out the link to all current members via mass-PM or something like that..

A voice chat program like that is possible, but I doubt highly that it could be implemented into vB and OtakuBoards itself. There is a program called BattleComms which is used for gaming, it allows a multitude of people to talk at once.. it would require an install as well :D

Going to have to go down to a shop and buy a real tree, then either carry it home or try and fit it in the car... somehow, lol. I feel it's a little early to be setting up the ol' lights and tree, but that might just be me.

The eye scene was hilarious in my opinion, just seemed very comical.. let the good times roll as they say, lol. I think the whole concept is an excellent one, as it brings up a lot of issues that make you think hard. The fight scene in the car factory was excellent as well.
Not a sixth sense. I can't explain why, but there are other ways of determining if a TV is on or not than just volume.
A TV emits a high pitch noise whilst it is turned on, so if you accidently pick up on it you instantly recognise it due to that fact that all the time you are watching a TV you are listening to the high pitch noise. So.. yeah, wrist cutter is right, not a sixth sense :D

The weapon cheat is brilliant. I can get on 5 stars in barely a minute with a minigun and a row of police cars ;) The auto infra-red sniper rifle is excellent too, it destroys cars in barely two or three shots. It's useful for everything except sniping, lol.
I've also heard that he's making a Metal Gear Solid 3, actually, but I don't know if it's true...
Hideo Kojima said many times in many interviews that he would most certainly not be working on another MGS game... although money or just the thrill may have tempted him back, lol. The whole light detection part seems a very cool idea to implement into a game, as long as they don't botch it I'm going to look out for this one. All I have to do now is buy a GBA! ;)

Daniel watched Rev storm across the open area of the town, bullets skimming on the dirt, sending it everywhere. Rev dived through a door to a small house, narrowly missing the frame. Daniel made sure everything was ok before deciding to begin moving again. Time to go it alone.. Daniel plucked up the courage and began sprinting through the house to the other side, checking doorways and small rooms for German soldiers. Daniel grew more and more confident, gradually picking up his running pace, until suddenly a German voice screamed at him. Nazi Soldier: Halt! Halt! Do not move! The Nazi soldier then began barking orders in German, trying to signal with his gun what he wanted Daniel to do. Daniel: Okay okay! I'll drop the weapon! Daniel let his m1 drop to the floor, causing the soldier to look down. Daniel ripped the knife from his belt and without a second thought he thrust it into the German soldiers chest. Blood slowly oozed from the deep wound. Daniel looked at his attacker lose conciousness, and decided to continue without looking back..

I think the strikethrough option would be a very fun idea, and may let some people take chance guesses at spelling words that they aren't sure about, although that's what a dictionary/spellcheck is for :)

I started out as The Elite DBZ, and never changed my name when OB switched versions because I thought I knew people, and changing my name would cause them to forget me :( But, after much cursing after not changing my name as not a lot of people cared anyway I had the opportunity and got it changed to nice little Elite. Saves people calling me TED, or TEDBZ like Deus did. O_o;;

Thanks for explaining Tigervx:), even though I sent you a PM explaining and deleted your previous post about this, I'll just close it instead.

Let's see now, I think I have a good few people to thank :D Sephiroth: For being real cool to me when I first joined OB, and sticking with it throughout. For immediately jumping at the chance to play an all-night LAN game with guys he didn't even know ;) (didn't happen though :p) Mitch: For just being an all out nice guy, making me feel right at home when I needed to be :) James: For tolerating my incredible frustration at Mario Sunshine and coming up with various types of pie/other foods ;) BabyGirl: Although I've never actually spoken to you, I have a lot of respect for you. You certainly made this look easy :D

I knew a Bulgarian kid who was in my class, but I never really spoke to him. One day I was describing what Counter Strike was like to one of my best friends when the Bulgarian guy (Mitko, if you must know his name :)), corrected me on what weapon I was talking about. I ended up talking to him about a lot of gaming stuff, and since then we've been darn good friends. -
Smart enough not to dial a free US number from the UK..
That would apply to me as well, hehe :) My phone has both a Q and a Z on it.. probably why I didn't guess it in the first place.

I agree with you Valen, I think LostProphet did change the skin by accident. This thread is basically spam, so I think I'll close it.
