Whoever discovered that girl's wonderful singing ability deserves snaps. *snaps* Since some of us have already mentioned artists under the rock genre, how's about adding one more: Porno Graffitti. Melissa was addicting, so was Ai ga Yobuhou e. Though the two songs sound completely different, I can't help but notice Porno Graffitti's amusing style/flair (for lack of better words) in both of them.
 2. Got a question, Chief: Does 150x500 mean a canvas that's longer than it is wide? Width x height? And to everyone: Let's do our best, yeah? And don't hold back on each other! ;)
 3. Given: A nation, once under hundred of years of colonization by numerous world powers. The people will start seeing themselves the same way the colonizers did. Tell them that the colonizers are superior and chances are, they will agree. To gain superiority, one must strive to be more like the colonizers. Bleach your skin if they are white and take growth pills if they are tall. Even if you're allergic to bleaching products, or growth pills cause your hormones to go haywire; to be like them... ah, how wonderful.
 4. I've just been afflicted with a disease makes my brain hang up everytime I try to make myself a banner. I'm pretty sure you know how frustrating that is. That's why I'm passing this arduous task to you, oh gifted person of Art by Request. Parameters (Please) Craft me a banner 175 by 40 in size. You can put anything in it, even a declaration of my love for you, just as long as you add in some hot pink. To anyone who wishes to take this request, you have my thanks.
 5. Ehh... This is her, right? Hey, hey! Please feel free to PM me if you want something changed in the set (font, color scheme, etc., assuming you're gonna use it). ^_^ Cheers!
 6. 4kids agents have finallly infiltrated the Japanese censorship boards. Mmm hmm. There must have been a different reviewing panel this time around, or stricter enforcement of some "no smokes for minors" law. But I must admit, even with those around, editting the cigs out from CB is pretty harsh. I mean, smoking is practically the only thing the Bebop gang did if they weren't out knocking people around.
 7. I just go for it. Them butterflies take waaay too long to settle down and the show must start now. Wasting the audience's time would have a negative impact on the how they will react to your performance. So yeah, maybe that's how I calm my nerves. I think more of the inconvenience I would cause if I allowed stage fright to get the better of me. As a member of the audience, I surely wouldn't want the performer to back out on me, yeah?
 8. Let me quote the great Gloria Gaynor on this: I will survive. By that time, a new animation style will be in and I will be raving about it. I would have moved on, that is, assuming I live to see the day anime and its related franchises die out. But I assure you, them reality shows will die first. Anime had outlived Disco; it will surely outlive Survivor.
 9. Alright, loves! For the sake of discussion, how's 'bout I provide you with a what if: What if the evidence for ID has been staring at us right in the face all along? No, no. Just think about it. What if we misinterpreted some data relevant to the discovery of ID and took it as evidence for, say, the existence of neutrinos? The Big Bang Theory was founded from the red shift phenomenon; who's to say that some other undiscovered forces are interacting and meddling with what we're receiving here on Earth? Given the vastness and uncertainty of the Universe, it's possible that in our quest to find proof for the BB theory, we applied the wrong principles and consequently misread data. We sound like bunnies who see nothing but the single carrot dangling in front of them. Anyways, there's always the possibility, yeah? Closing this field off from inquiring minds sounds like idea monopoly to me. We let Science prove Darwin's Theory of Evolution, why can't we do the same for the ID theory?
 10. Thus falleth more souls into the fiery pits of hasty generalization. I have a feeling that some of us judged the Catholic faith from what other people told us about the Church. Catholic schools and what they teach aren't exactly the best representatives of the religion in general. Besides, a school can't posssibly stand for everything the institution is; some things are bound to be different as one looks at the rules and standards of each school. Just like how some are lax with anime and some aren't. How a school is run also depends on the people at the helm. People meaning individuals with their own belief systems and, in this case, misconceptions. Can't blame the whole school if the principal is bigot. I say read more about Catholicism and the Church. It may help clear up a few things, yeah? (Plus you might pick up an idea that will stand that may help establish anime's, erhm, innocence)

 12. ^ Gotta be honest when we evaluate other's works, love. It's so... simple. There isn't much going on in your work but you managed to make it more interesting by rendering the subject in a rather unusual way. I've yet to see the image you used but even if it took little effort to transform the original to what you just made, I say it takes a good eye to match a picture with the perfect effect (if you get my drift). But really, it doesn't hurt to show a bit more of your skills, yeah? ;) 8.5/10 I'd hit it.

 14. Um, I wasn't able to make a matching avatar because the pictures you provided were a tad too tiny. If you could perhaps tell us who that character is then I'd be more than happy to make an avatar that goes with this banner. Cheers!
 15.
@EVA: It's not French, and I'm pretty sure it's not Latin. For some reason Russian came to mind when I was looking at the non-translated subtitles, but I know zilch about Russian, so I'm not really sure why I thought of it. ... Actually, looking at the booklet that came with the first OST, the parts of the lyrics that aren't in English appear to be written in Cyrillic. Maybe my guess was right after all, haha.
Right on the target! I am Calling Calling now, Spirits rise and falling Soboj ostat'sya dol'she... Calling Calling, in the depth of longing Soboj ostat'sya dol'she... "Soboj ostat'sya dol'she" translates to "To stay as myself longer", so says animelyrics.com. A mixture of English and Russian, yeah? Origa, the lyricist of inner universe and Rise, is Russian. If you slur your speech well enough, ORIGA will start to sound like Olga, a pretty common Russian name.

 17. ERASMUS Race: Vampire Age: 1672 years old Gender: Male Powers: Of all the elements, Lightning is the most adaptable. Though alone it already is an awe-inspiring force, it deals the most damage when played through the other elements. It is what imbibes electricity to water, spreads sound through air, starts sparks for fire and sends tremors to the earth. Through this principle, Erasmus was able to turn the other four lieutenants against the vile Dragon. What he did, he accomplished without using his gift; thus it is by no means a good measure of feats he could carry out with the power of Lightning. Weapons: A variety of whips adorns his study. Though they may appear fragile, Erasmus wields them as if they were lithe sabers that could break skin with the slightest brush. He can use two at a time, one in each hand, with such proficiency that his whips were likened to lightning and cracked with a thunderous sound. Personality: Cruelty is a virtue, so he says. If Malevolence is of the order, then so must we learn to serve it. Yet Erasmus cannot be summed in such a short tenet. Of the five clan leaders, his heart was the hardest to read. At times he could be very forgiving, letting his subordinates off their lapses in judgment, but days when the smallest displays of incompetence was remunerated with death also came. Through all of these, his thin lips would always curve into a smile. How he could tolerate, even enjoy, such degrees of viciousness, none of the other four leaders can understand. Appearance: Erasmus (image by Falcoon) Character Snippet: The night was young yet the moon was dark over the eternally gray fields of Asturia. At the heart of the fields rose a marble castle that reflected what little light could reach it, shutting its occupants in from the moon?s cold glow. Looking through the narrow windows that line the lower levels, one could see a great number of figures moving across the warmly lit halls and hear sprightly banter coming from within. Yet this wasn?t where the master of the castle can be found. Not in this hall of vivid tapestries, and crystal chandeliers. Far above the hall is a set of double doors: heavy, wooden and locked. Twice a day, their heavy creaks would reverberate throughout the castle, as if to herald their master?s passing. Only the master of the castle and his wife were allowed entry into this secret room for this was where they kept things that should never be unearthed again. OOC: Yep, this signup's long overdue so please excuse the rather terse snippet. Cheers!

I want to get my hands on Moon Child, the Japanese movie with hyde and Gackt...I'm sure that it's good, and if not, it's still got hyde and Gackt in it which forces it to be good.
Buy it if you want to see Gackt and hyde sport lovely hairdos. My L'Arc-en-Ciel favorite song would be The Fourth Avenue Cafe. Yes, it's pretty old and a bit obscure but it's the song that got me into the Laruku craze. I don't know why but it sounds different from many of their songs. It's pretty light and it didn't focus on one instrument alone (get my drift?). Yet for all the subtle deviations, it still sounded like a true-blue hyde composition with lyrics that paint a vivid, albeit surreal, picture of a scenery that goes along with the song. Man, I love 'em to pieces.
 20.
My absolute favorite would probaly be Seshihun Kyousoukoyu from Naruto. The beats and rythms in it just make you want to get up and dance to the beat . Well atleast it does for me... I dont care what anybody else says I still think that is one of the greatest anime songs that i have ever herd.
You got that right, partner! Seishun Kyousoukyoku's probably the best opening song I've heard of late. It's got everything a good OP song should have; gets your adrenaline pumped up for another Naruto episode, yeah? As for animes with good songs, I'd say The Vision of Escaflowne's one of them. No surprise there; Yoko Kanno's the composer for the series, after all. Some are subtle while others are haunting ("Sora" for one, so is that choral Eeeescafloooowne song) but none feels out of place. Greatly helps in setting the mood, IMO. Can't imagine how the series would be without those songs.
 21. Try as non-otakus may, they will never understand a thing when fans talk about anime. Fans tend to get so specific and in-depth when it comes to their favorite series that they may seem like they're taking a course about it or something. It's kinda like how accountants will react when geologists talk about transform faults: they may not blatantly declare the latter as "geeks" but will surely comment on how, erhm, different they are. Add EVA Unit 100's comment on stereotyping and you've got a psychology theory in the making.

 24.
What are the weirdest things you (or others that you've heard of) have brought to college?[/COLOR']
That would be a crab roll and a Nazgul costume. I had to wear those to apply for a school organization. I got turned down but hey, it was loads of fun!
What was your oddest experience?[/COLOR']
Looking up from my test paper only to see a platoon of naked men running down the corridor. The most awaited event in the university, baby!
In what did you invest the most time in?[/COLOR']
Math. Man, I used to be a whiz in Math but it seems that the charm wore off the moment I stepped into college. Cyriel, finish all your required Math courses ASAP; only then can you truly enjoy college.
Attend parties, or not?[/COLOR']
Give me the time and place and I'm there!... that is, if I've no major test scheduled the day after. There are plenty of parties to attend and only a handful of tests per semester/trimester; better tend to the latter.
How to not waste the parents' money, and at the same time have an exciting experience... [/COLOR']
That's easy. Hang out with other people who have no money. It's a "misery loves company" kind of thing. As Omnigear Fenrir said, "keep things organized and you should be okay." The atmosphere's more relaxed, so relaxed that some students (*cough*) forget which days deadlines and tests fall on. A datebook's probably the best thing you can bring to the university. Oh yeah. University professors aren't as forgiving as high school teachers are. Gotta always use your head, baby. Simple common sense should be enough.
 25. The old folks' home over here is quite spacious. We people have this tradition of keeping in constant touch with our parents (and distant relatives, for that matter) even after we've built a family of our own. In a way, we're repaying our debts to them by taking them in once they retire. It's a bit logical, really; my old man could've just left me in some trash bin to be picked up by God-knows-who but instead they took the chance of raising this diva. Gotta reap what they've sown, yeah? Plus them old people dote on us like we're their children. Which is kind of fun really, especially during Christmas. The idea of gratitude is deeply ingrained into our society that it's probably second nature to us to take them in without question. It's a tradition that's been going on for hundreds of years now, treating them like they're still part of the nuclear family. Perhaps you guys should try it; makes them elderly people happy.
