Um, what are you talking about? I've gotten everything possible on that game (including the glitchy upgrade for 50 Deku Sticks/Nuts (forget which one)), and there's nothing special you can pull. The Triforce pieces on each character's hand is part of the story.

Directly from BradyGames's player's guide: "Start by having Tidus cast Slow on the fiend, and then cast Haste on himself and Rikku. This increases their...[ability] to use the Trigger Command to communicate with Cid. Look carefully at the list of character turns on the right side of the screen. When Tidus or Rikku's turn is right before Cid's turn, use the Trigger Command to pull the ship away from Evrae. If you can keep the monster at long range until Cid's next turn thereafter, then he will unleash a volley of missiles at Evrae." (This helped me a good bunch--when I finally beat Evrae, her final blow was from Cid's missiles; however, he only uses missiles three times, then he is out, so be careful!) "The dragon may then counter with the Swooping Scythe attack to get close to the ship again. Eventually, Evrae will inhale on one turn and exhale Poison Breath on its next turn....have Rikku use an Al Bhed potion. Evrae will then cast Haste on itself, thus nullifying Slow spells. To counter [that], have Tidus caste Haste on as many characters as possible. ....When Evrae is near the ship, use physical attacks with characters like Tidus, Auron (.:luv:.), Kimahri, and Rikku (.:therock:--strong? Riiiiight.). When Evrae is far away, use Lulu and Wakka (long range attackers). But since Evrae halves all magical damage, Lulu will be mostly ineffective unless she knows [all -Aga spells]." Rikku is stronger than stupid Tidus on mine so bleh -Break Any more advice from me? Lots of Al Bhed potions (if you can teach other charas besides Rikku the Use ability, then they can use the Al Bhed potions too) and MegaPhonixes. Hold hard and think fast--no Yuna or Aeons are going to be able to pull your [tail] out of the fire on this one! ;)

The answer to which sphere takes you to any of your friends' current sphere grid location is the Friend Sphere. A Return Sphere takes you to any sphere you have activated, and a Teleport Sphere takes you to any sphere activated by any other character.
AURON SPHERES: Macalania Forest (after boss fight with the blobby thingy) Macalania Woods Besaid Village Mt. Gagazet Thunger Plains SS Liki Mi'ihen road Mushroom Rock area Moonflow Luca Stadium
Still in keeping with the Auron Spheres: Which one was considered Auron's sphere, which Jecht's, and which Braska's sphere(s)? (giving the location that goes with each is fine)

Oooo, you might could touch on Demona, too, then. It's a shame nobody picked her for this RPG...not yet, anyway. I might consider playing as her...I'm still debating that. I've never played more than 2 charas at a time.

For myself, I try not to be with anyone that is 5 years max, either way. Too young makes me feel antiquated, too old makes me feel like an immature baby. My parents have a 20 year age difference between them and it works. Go figure. One of my managers is about to marry his girlfriend, who is 16 years his senior. Another one has a girlfriend who is just about to turn of age--and he's 8 years older than her (ok, that one bothers me a little, and him being a GM and all...*shudders*).

There was also a live action movie called "Gargoyles" that was released, that I don't think had ANYTHING to do with the Disney show. Speaking of live action, wouldn't this guy (attached) make a great IRL Owen? I have no idea who he is, so forgive my ignorance! :bluesweat

Freya rocks! Let her alone! Yes, weirdest charas ever in FF9. But that was part of the appeal. ^^ Though Amarant was late in showing up, IMO. By the time he did, I was just losing it for the game story.

I've only played 7 and up (not even that much of 8, really), and I must say, I liked them all. 7's Materia was great because of all the new graphics you got to see as the Materia got stronger--plus, any member could use the Materia, provided they had the slots. 8 I didn't play much. The Junction bit confused me the little time that I did. 9's system reminded me of 7's--except that only certain charas could learn certain things. Made sense, really--big burly guy healing and summoning? The plus here was, once the spell or ability was learned fully, it STAYED learned. You just had to have enough thingies...stars, gems, whathaveyou?!...to activate them. 10's was a lot closer to 7's, in that everyone could learn the same thing, regardless. The sphere grid was a little less...available? (for lack of a better word) than the Materia--all that moving your character around the grid. Even with the special spheres that could plunk each chara anywhere plus the Level Locks, it wasn't as great as I originally thought. The concept is still sweet, though. My vote would prolly be with the FF7 Materia system.

Methinks all the winners should have the option of having their title(s) placed under their s/n. *is suddenly bouncing with joy* I won Best Traditional Artist?!? You love me, you really really love me!!! *dies of happiness*

You know, people just lost their lives today. Instead of running around and pointing fingers or making theories, I think what we as an online community need to recognize, just for 24 hours, that people are dead and families are suffering because of this. Yes, people screwed up. Yes, it's hard to forgive instantly in cases like this. BUT...Getting rude about the topic is not going to help anything.

Seeing how downloading stuff is illegal, I can't tell you any sites for that. (Though there is a Disney site that allows people to download the eppie "Deadly Force", in order to back their argument about why the episode shouldn't be kept off the air (it was an issue about gun safety--the cop Elisa got shot, and there was--gasp, horror--blood; but it was making a point about how guns are dangerous and should be handled properly). All that rambling and I can't remember where it is, but if I do, I'll put up a link for it. In any case, there are good summaries of the episodes here, and the episode transcripts themselves here. Hope that will help.

I'm about 1/2 an hour from you, the Rowlett/Rockwall area. That might have been what woke me up this morning, but I live awfully far away, don't I?

Texan here, just in case you all didn't know. I remember waking up suddenly about 8:something this morning. My dog was freaking out. I kinda went back to sleep after calming him, so imagine my shock when I heard about this around 10am this morning. The news stations here are going crazy over it. Mostly the people in Nagadoches (sp?). There have already been bystanders sent to the hospital because they were picking up debris, and the stuff apparentally has some toxic material on it. So, for the most part, it's all about picking up debris here in NE Texas. There are a few theories about what happened, all mechanical failure of some sort (terrorism has been ruled out for the most part here); the strongest thought is that the shuttle was not positioned correctly or making incorrect flying manuevuers when it was coming in for its sudden landing. As a result, the heat resistant panels were not in the position they should have been, and... *says a silent prayer for the families*
-
Yeah. When you wake up, Tarin/Talon (whatever his name is--the Mario looking guy), hands you your shield and says, "Your name is ---? Well, this must be yours, 'cause it has your name on it." The same goes for your sword when you find it on the beach. And when you get your upgraded sword, you are quick to engrave your name on it.

Proof is better than Ward, because Proof has a higher resistance rate. However, it doesn't protect 100% of the time, I don't think. Yunalesca was prolly the most ANNOYING boss I ever fought in that game--and the hardest. Sin didn't even put up half the fight that she did. I've read in strategy guides that if you want to Zombie Proof someone, make it Yuna, so she can heal and summon. Try to teach all the charas the "Use" command, so they can all use the AlBhed potions (heals whole party some HP, good stuff). If Yunalesca casts Regen on a party member, unZombify them if they are and quick--it's worse than being poisoned. Hastega, yes. Overdrived Aeons and Yuna, yes. I think I managed to poison Yunalesca once, but I'd have to check. If you can do that, it helps. Leave one chara in Zombie, yes. There's also an item that cures all status ailments--I forget what it's called, but have plenty of those on hand, too. (Btw, Valefor is a female. ;))

About Yu Yevon:
Yu-Yevon was pretty much the guy who started the whole Sin/Shin problem. When Zanarkand, his place of residence, got into a major war with another big city (I forget which, exactly), it seemed like Zanarkand would lose. Yevon got all the people together and had them give up their selves (the first Fayths) to make this MASSIVE summon, which would later be known as Sin. Sin is pretty tail-whooping powerful, so a myth was started that if a summoner could defeat Sin, it would go away...though only for a short time. And at a costly price (major spoiler, I won't touch that).

:bawl: The link is not working for me! And I'm glad someone else noticed Yuna the Annoying Lip Syncer. That whole "Yes" bit coupled with a bow, then she'd wait... Or if someone was talking to her, expecting an answer, she'd wait....THEN say "Yes." *grumbles*
