1. Skittles 2. Smarties 3. Whoppers 4. Reeses Cup That's my order of preference, though I am trying to avoid Reeses Cups because they contain peanut butter and someone I know is allergic to that. Pity I can't afford any of them right now, in order to save up for an anime convention in november I've got to live on almost nothing for the next month or so.

OOC: Light, shouldn?t you already have the notebook and tested it? Or should we make the notebook that was laying in the street go to MisaMisa so that your reign of terror would have already begun as planned for the start of this. ________________________________________________________________________ ~School Building, Computer Lab~ Meh Odin thought, taking a look at the group before the leader arrived. Most of the people who did show up were kind of punk-ish and probably petty criminals wanting to learn how to dodge the law better, while a fair number of people were fairly honest and intelligent looking people who liked a puzzle. Light had not arrived yet, Odin secretly hoped that he wouldn?t show up so that he wouldn?t have to deal with his shadow. As the group leader arrived and started talking, he looked towards the girl who sat near him in class. They briefly caught each other?s eyes, Odin?s pale eyes getting a flicker of life for a fleeting moment in an otherwise lifeless blue. A faint, almost imperceptible blush swept over him, as she turned to look back towards Ayame. Very quietly, Odin stood up and moved to sit next to Sue while Ayame was talking, several others took the opportunity to make themselves more comfortable as well. I?ve definitely seen her somewhere before. Odin thought. He whispered to her, ?You work at the studio for Misa Amane don?t you. ?

The Youngbloods Get Together This song brings back memories, I used to sing this with my family by a bonfire in the backyard while mom played guitar, I tended the fire, and my brothers made smores. Kind of miss it, since I am the only one to still enjoy the bonfire mound in the backyard.

Now playing on the iBrain 1Tb: Mason Williams Classical Gas I like how this one sounds, the way it builds up, and also the guitar part in it is awesome. It does start kind of slow and sad, but picks up the pace fairly good.

Anime Which anime character does this costume look similiar too?
Odin M Yggdrasi replied to a topic in Otaku Central
I could see that as an outfit used by Misa Amane from Death Note, but you would have to match her face and hair appearance to go with it. It probalby wouldn't be a cannon outfit though for her. Couldn't you google cosplay outfits and find the pieces or patterns for one? I'm going to AC3 as Syaoran from Tsubasa and making my own costume, really the only piece I actually have to make is the cape since the rest is already what I like to wear. -
1.) Long or short
I've traditionally kept mine short, but in the past year have been encouraging it to grow- on the grounds that I only have maybe 3 more years before I start going seriously bald. It used to be kept under 1" length buzzcut style, but now it is already nearing shoulder length, and with the bangs being left uncut it sometimes gets in my eyes and annoys the crap out of me. I'm almost constantly pulling it back over my ear to keep it out of the way, and have resorted to using a bandanna as a headband to hold it at times.
2.) Color
Officially it is strawberry blond, though it changes in response to humidity, and normally will appear as a dirty blonde or bronze blonde. If I put enough gel in it to keep it moist I can make it look brunette for a few hours.
3.) Have you dyed it?
Never have, and probably never will. I'm blonde and proud of it.
4.) If you have dyed it, what colors has it been?
Not applicable.
5.) What length do you prefer on the opposite sex?
I do like long hair on girls, but it isn't that important to me because something like that has no reflection on the nature of the person. What's fun though is when driving with the windows down you see it flying all over the place, I think it looks realy cool like that.

OOC: After Ruroni posts again with Light we should timejump this so that class is over. Otherwise we're risking a fade out from lack of events in the timeline. ____________________________________________________________________ ~School Building, 3A Classroom~ Odin had noticed the book laying in the street that Light seemed fixated on, as if something kept drawing him to it. As usual he was bored out of his mind, held back by the average minds in the room when he could really go way beyond their level even on his own. This is why I hate public schools. He thought as the teacher went over some simple equation that Odin had known for years but was new to most of the class. “What’s with that notebook that has your attention so strongly?” Odin whispered to light while the teacher was in the back of the room lecturing somebody who answered wrong on why they need to pay more attention to the lesson and not what their friends are doing. “It looks perfectly ordinary to me, like it belongs to a Goth girl or something. Kind of the style Misa might use for her pocketbook since she models the Goth style.” Silencing himself again as the teacher came back towards the front of the room, but not having heard what Odin said because of another student falling asleep and making their book fall of their desk he hid a smile. Turning briefly to look at his classmates while the teacher wrote the next problem on the board, he turned his chair slightly to look behind and see the girl who had guessed two and got it right. There was something odd about her though. While most people Odin would look at them briefly and then go back into his mind, there was something different with Sue. Several moments passed before he forced himself to look forward again, not wanting to be rude by staring at the strange girl that captured his attention, and had soon drifted back into his own world, today’s design being one of his favorite projects dating back to freshman year.

Who is better Vampires Vs Werewolves
Odin M Yggdrasi replied to kitsora's topic in General Discussion
Ummm...I don't quite follow.
Ever hear of the term "Looney"? It's a derivate of the term Lunar, which is used in scientific circles for the moon. It was originally defined because some women would act wierd in the few days before or after a full moon as part of the natural cycle having the same time interval as the moon's phase. I don't see how a man would be vulnerable to it though unless he was driven looney by his woman during that time. -
What about a manga that hasn't been released in any other country yet? While you wouldn't be able to read it you would still have that manga before anyone else you know would have it. Dunno what else they might have that you might find interesting that could be legally brought back (I don't think they would like you at the border if you took a Katana home with you) Possibly a luck charm or something of cultural significance might work.

Haruhi episode 12 God Knows Easily the greatest song I have ever heard in an anime, and I can't get over that opening guitar part. Maybe when I finally do get around to learning how to play guitar that would be a fun one to try.

Who is better Vampires Vs Werewolves
Odin M Yggdrasi replied to kitsora's topic in General Discussion
I've always favored Vampires over werewolves for use in my RPs, on the grounds that the vampires have a more humanoid form that lends itself better to human interaction. You also see the differences in power when a vampire has been feeding regularly, while a werewolfe tends to just plain becoeme violent Vampires typically will become dangerously cunning in addition to powerful (At least mine do.) Something I also found is the werewolf transformations is time-limited, lasting only while the moon is overhead, and during that time they typically are simple beast-like mentality. Vampires in most of my storylines are always in their humanoid form with their best powers tied to the full moon, but can really feed and be evil at any time they see fit. They also tend to be somewhat intelligent about their habits too even during the released state on a full moon. -
I mostly play MMORPGs now, where the AI is kind of cheap but still suprisingly flexible, and you also have to deal with other human players potentially attacking you too. Before the MMORPGs though, I was really into RTS-type Games. My favorites over the years have been: Age of Empires: Rise of Rome. Not bad in my experience, while the AI would predictably make a compact but efficient city and populate their entire region with patrolling soldiers (typically of the infantry type, but sometimes cavalry or siege) they really didn't have the coordination to attack effictively. Scouting becomes a problem due to their patrols, but if you marched a legion at almost any AI in game you would conquer as long as your supply and reinforcement lines held up- which the AI would sometimes do is sabotage the supply lines using a flanking maneuver. Age of Empires II: The Art of Conquest I liked this one too, but it had a lot of similarity to Rise of Rome. The AI would typically produce a compact but powerful city, depleting the resources inside the city walls before going outside them, and filling it's domain with patrols. They did however fix the attack coordination problems, and in many cases I would find myself in a fix as their scouts crippled my economy right as I should be raising troops to resist the incoming army of huns marching in my direction. Something I found though is if you destroyed a specific building or unit a certain number of times, the AI would essentially 'give up' trying to replace it, even though the AIs usually were allowed to cheat to get additional resources to prolong the end-game. My favorite tactics were to use cavalry sweeps first to undermine the economy, and then march in with Heavy infantry backed by siege, and level the enemy towns. Age of Empires II did have the option to make and use custom AI scripts, I had done this in several scenarios I made to produce a specific effect, but the code behind the AI was clumsy and unreliable. Rise of Nations Now here's a game that I still can't always beat the computer, though I am getting better at it. The AI tends to be slower than a human, but most games that is the case. You do see excellent coordination of both offense and defense, at times they will even use Cruise Missiles or Nuclear Missiles on you. So far my favorite strategy has been to race to the highest age possible, and then use a combination of air bombings and cruise missiles to damage the economy- in the order of Oil, Wealth, Metal, Wood, Food. Typically by hitting the oil first the troops they will be able to make to defend themselves will be land-only and most often of the light infantry variety, which is easy to deal with in most cases. I also played Empire Earth at one point, it really wasn't that much of a challenge having a weak strategy AI. Starcraft YOU MUST CONSTRUCT ADDITIONAL PYLONS! I hated that message while I was under siege by a computer-guided Zerg rush, to this day I still lose more often than I win because I do not do well with military rush strategies. The AIs used seem to be fitting to the roles each race plays, and the way that those races are tuned to fight- the Zerg building fast for a rush, and then spreading across the entire map if not checked, frequently coming at you very quickly with numbers of cheap units and annihilation of a slow to develop player with alarming speed, yet in end-game the way they spread lends itself to formidable defense without a lot of wasted effort or resources. the Terrans building fast enough to resist the intial rush but then losing strength again in the end-game to slightly slower and less convienient production, also generally weaker units. And my favorite, the Protoss, whose high powered units and elaborate towns, while they take time to construct and can be difficult to defend if not built right, otherwise do exceptionally well in battle if you last long enough to get your forces established.

ever deadly cancer sticks (thread for smokers)
Odin M Yggdrasi replied to Metalcore501's topic in General Discussion
My issue always has been and always will be more with the smell produced by them than the act itself- If they want to kill themselves by one of the slowest and most painful deaths known to our time then by all means, just don't force me to die with you. How the frek do you guys get used to and like that though? Just the ambient smoke cloud from an old engine running poorly this morning has me feeling like I am about to hurl, and I wasn't inhaling it directly, it was being spewed out but not traveling far due to a lack of wind this morning, settling back near the engine on me. -
Nicknames... how did you get them?
Odin M Yggdrasi replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
The few nicknames I have that get used regularly are mostly my Forum names or the names of my RP characters. Odin, RoL, Mithos, Sparks. They're all from the RPs. I do have a few other ones though, but they're personal. -
Name: Retsumi "Lucy" Salafino Gender: F Age: 21 Weapons: Twin daggars, all black with damascus steel blades. She also has a knife concealed on her person, while it's location varies she always has it with her. In at least one incident she demonstrated skilled use of a longbow, but prefers to keep that at her stronghold unless she has been ordered to do something that it would be effective at (usually assasinations). Personality: Cold and cruel, without seeming to have a clear reason to be like that. She also tends to be mysterious and manipulative, but is known to lash out violently when betrayed or disobeyed. For unknown reasons she serves Darc Vendetta, working quite feverishly to satisfy his orders at any cost. Little else is known, clearly she does posess some affection for even as cruel a person as her superior, and she never lets anyone except him who realizes that the iron mind and body she presents is not her true inner feelings live long enough to tell the tale. Appearence: 5' 3", 152 lbs. http://renegadeoflife.deviantart.com/art/Lucy-of-the-black-night-67729665 Well endowed and with curves capable of seducing almost any man, in addition to a suprising lot of muscle camoflauged into her sturdy looking arms and legs. She wears a black iron chainmail vest, the chest region composed of wrought steel and carved with runes of evil, along with black cloth-wrapped chainmail pants Over this she wears a loose fitting black robe void of all decorations, and as dark as the forest on a new moon. Black hair with silver tips, and grey-blue eyes that look as though the life has been swallowed by her darkness, all set into a body that is pale skinned when clean, but is always kept covered in dirt so her skin does not glow while walking through the dark forest, in addition to protecting her from direct sunlight. The sunlight has in the past caused a painful sunburn with very little exposure, in addition to dampening her dark abilities to a level that leaves her feeling vulnerable. Bio: A witch of sorts, she hid herself in a hut in the black forest, carrying out her orders from Darc and preying on the townspeople, evading their pursuits and witch hunts through cunning use of stealth and traps. During the crystal explosion, she was hidden in a bush nearby, plotting how to steal the crystal from said group and attempt to deliver it's powers to her master. Nobody knows who she really is or where she came from, the townspeople just know she is an agent of the devil himself. Fittingly, there is a lot of legend about her as people tried to explain her existance.

Billy Joel We Didn't Start The Fire Not having a MP3 player at all, or even headphones on hand at the moment, I seem to be stuck with this in my head after hearing it on the radio this morning. Only reason it is annoying me right now is it has been stuck in my head for coming up on an hour, repeating over and over. Hopefully I'll think of some other song soon before I drive myself insane with it...

~School building, 3A Classroom~ "Hmm." Odin remarked on seeing the course of events. While not really spectacular, he had already determined that this teacher would not tolerate such things for long. Leaning back a little in his seat, front row near the window, he turned his head to look at his classmates. It would be somewhat surprising to anyone if they found out about how Odin knew so much- for someone who always seemed so lazy in class that didn't mean when he wanted to know something he was unstoppable until he found it. His remark at the teacher erasing the board and confirming his prediction was correct, by listening to conversation held by previous students of this teacher he had determined that while you could count on him for a laugh or two at times, when teaching was to be done there was no mischief permitted. Though that is interesting that they would form such a club now, especially with all that has been happening in the news. Odin thought, turning back to face forward, pausing for a moment at his rival- Light Yagami. Other than Light, this is lot is typical, I'd best stay quiet untill I figure out how they work, lest I mess up and have them use me for target practice. Taking out a pencil and paper, and clicking the pencil until a lead appeared, he scratched out a coded note in the margin containing a detail or two about this class, anything notable or something to watch for, and also scratching out in code a reminder to see about this new club that is being formed. Already people were going through their usual introductions, the same old first day ritual that always bored Odin to death, and typically a bit of an irritating moment when they called on him to introduce himself. His turn was first this time, and like every year, he gave his name and age, and nothing more before sitting down again. Nuisance ritual, not like most of us don't already know each other from previous years. He thought to himself, slipping partially into a daydream working on one of his designs while the class continued. Only someone who knew him well could tell what was really going on in his head, despite being partially spaced out he still looked as though he was paying attention. In reality he was, multitasking at a high level was one of his favorite abilities, and he did so often because the material was dull, often a review of something he had learned on his own years ago. "The answer is pi exactly." He halfheartedly answered when called on to solve a math problem. Even the teacher gave a puzzled look, wondering how he had known that so quickly out of the formula on the board.

The Harem of Celebrity Lust [image heavy] v2
Odin M Yggdrasi replied to eleanor's topic in General Discussion
Is it bad that I have no idea who any of these people are? (Well except maybe Johnny Depp, having played Captain Jack Sparrow I have heard of him) I do know these though, don't know if any of you would recognize them. Picture Will Smith, probably best known for I, Robot; Men in Black; and Independence Day. Picture Mel Brooks, probably one of the greatest comedians of the 80s. I also like Robin Williams, but don't have anything I can take a screenshot of him from available. Also, in Titanic, who played Jack Dawson, and who played the younger Rose? I like those two as well.
Odin M Yggdrasi, if your picture is stretching the layout of OB, just use a link please. Or resize them so they don't stretch the layout. Thanks. ~Rachmaninoff
-
Iron Maiden Run to the Hills I sometimes start singing this on my way home, living on top of a hill outside the town. I like it's sound and the lyrics I think are making references to the wars against the native Americans in this country back in the 17 and 1800s.
You are aware that you're supposed to talk about the songs, right? No one gives a damn what your listening to. Tell us how it makes you feel. Through the Night makes me feel nostalgic as it is one of the earliest anisons I was obsessed with. It's the opening to legendary anime Outlaw Star and is full of burning passion and manly spirit!
They certainly do things differently here. The forum I was on last you just posted your song, and if someone thought it interesting they would say so. Blue Oyster Cult Don't Fear The Reaper Just got this one the other day, didn't have much interest in the lyrics initially but the guitar part is good. Haven't worked out the meaning of this song yet, but I'm sure I'll figure it out soon enough.

It will be most interesting I think, because while I can play a perfect Light, or even L for the matter- I think at the same level they do. I would rather go as my own chara. If nobody else thinks they can handle Light or L I'll do it, but I would rather not. Two characters of that nature at once might be a bit much, you would see them ending up allied and thinking the same way all the time. Name: Odin "M" Renegade (Officially he is called Odin, but a lot of his classmates call him M since he seems like L at times.) Age: 17 Class: 3A Occupation: Stage Crew for Misa Amane, working part time. Appearance: innocent enough and quite typical for a nerdy teenager- a colored t-shirt and blue jeans, 5'7" 140 lbs, blonde hair pale blue eyes. He has a rather fine and small build, don't let his looks fool you while he doesn't look muscular there's strength in there. Personality: Very calculating and analytical at times, he would match wits against Light almost constantly, but due to a few flaws like laziness really didn't have the grades to be expected of someone with his intelligence. Also his personality changes with his mood, when happy he will be a lot more relaxed, while still basing on logic and calculated risk, when angry he becomes cruel and calculating, not afraid to make a sacrafice for a cause. Bio: Innocent enough for a teenager of significant ability, unlike most of his classmates he never took an interest in girls or any normal matters. You could usually see him with a textbook or a piece of paper and ruler, as he studied on his own and designed different inventions, taking the job at the studio as one of Misa's assistants a year ago when the previous man resigned. Little is known about his home life, the only person who he could really make a conversation with is Light, and even Light tended to ignore him because he wasn't interested in debating einstein's laws of relativity or if you could make an airplane with a weight of 500 kilos that could carry 350 kilos of cargo. Unknown even to Light though, he had an interest in crime fighting and preserving justice, but could not get involved directly due to constraints of his lifestyle and lack of interest in maintaining chain of command. Additional Info: Light is really going to have his work cut out for him, fortunately Odin won't be much of a threat because he has no access to the official Kira case, and can only speculate and predict based on media coverage. Using that alone however, he has determined a dangerous amount of information about Light and Misa, but dares not say so to anyone lest Light kill him. Also, in class he sits in the seat right next to Light, the two do match wits regularly in mock mental warfare.

Nerds vs Otakus: How to tell the difference
Odin M Yggdrasi replied to Odin M Yggdrasi's topic in General Discussion
lol. Who uses the term nerd anymore?
People who like robotics, computer hardware, engineering, in general technology, typically know just plain too much, and are usually out of touch with current trends other than what is published in Popular Science and Popular Mechanics, and other such technology magazines. So then, I definately fall into the nerd variety, since ordinary people don't design rocket engines and alternative energy sources for fun. -
I want a banner for my New Age RPS. I must have or include one or more dragons in it.
I'm not the greatest in paintshop, but I will take a go at it when I get home later tonight. What style of dragon are you interested in though? The classic fairy-tale dragon, a high-fantasy fire breathing serpent, or something more along the lines of a demon spawn in the form of a dragon?
