Most of the staff and longtime members here have affected me one way or another, heh. Some positive (it's a relative term :toothy: ) influences include: Shy, Nerdsy, PiroMunkie, Tony, Ginny (can't begin to list things), Solo, Asphy, Deborah, Ben, wrist cutter, Kinetic, Jenna, TN, Justin (Soviet Otaku, heh), Dan, Kittylynn, Ken, Devidramon, Mitch, Mnemolth, Desert Shadow, KK, Navi, DiscoSnorlax, Ducky, and Galxy Girl...to name a handful. Or a couple handfuls. ^_~ "American Writer" sticks out in my mind; a shiny green star sticker to anyone who knows or remembers why. :toothy:

I love names. Jael. [Female.] This is Biblical, actually. The woman named Jael lured a man into her tent and killed him with a tent peg...or something to that effect. It's been a while since I read that. But it was an interesting little bit of scripture, and it caught my memory. November. [Female.] November makes me think of grey skies and deadened trees, and a girl with a long scarf and a warm coat making her way home through the wind. I think that's wonderul imagery. I like the way it sounds, as well. [I could dissect the sounds and what I get out of them, but we'll leave that for another time.] Dunia. [Female.] This should mean universe in Swahili. It's a great word. It makes me think of a cool sand desert, at night, with a million stars in an endless deep sky. And the last one for right now would be Clandestine, female, for someone else's reasons with which I simply agree. ^_~

Heh, but it is fun for me to look at back at my earliest posts and cringe at what I said. ^_~ Thank goodness v2's posts are gone; that's all I can say on the matter.

Okay, I think that's about enough.

Ergh, I can never which names go with which pieces. I do love Pachelbel's Canon in D.

That's better than what some people my age can do. >_< The face is slanted sideways in sort of a weird way. Try lightly drawing the shape of the face before you do details, and figure out where things should go before you draw them. I don't know if that helps you. Nice job on the hand. The first finger isn't quite right--I don't know if fingers can bend that way--but it's a very clean part of the image. The pinky is a little fat, but other that that,it's a good job. I just avoid drawing hands altogether, when I can help it, heh. The handle also looks good, although make sure the rest of the object stays in line with it--it's curved funny, and it shouldn't be.

I had pneumonia last year, and was more or less sick for about six months. Our resident RN says I had mono as well (thus the whole, "being sick for an extra five months"), but I was never officially diagnosed. I guess I'll never know, will I? In any case, having pneumonia pretty much sucked. It was better when I knew what I had, but I had respiratory problems for quite a while before I went to see a doctor. ...Not being able to breathe is scary.

I was looking at this in another thread earlier. I like it. The yin/yang looks a little rough around the edges, but that's all. It's refreshing. Different from what we've been seeing around here lately.

How can you not see a person, heh. That's so cool, Jenna. I love the way the water looks, in all it's droplet glory. Are you just given a title that you have to fit, assignment-wise, or are there other restrictions?

actually it doesn't every christian believes the bible but only chathloics (sp?) and couple other follow the bible to that extent. plus isn't it if u ask for forgiveness u get it??? What are you talking about? Shaun stated that because he was a Christian, and because of the Biblically based beliefs he holds, he does not believe premarital sex is right. First you say that his being a Christian has nothing to do with the beliefs he holds, then you say that he shouldn't "follow the Bible to that extent." I have no idea where you're coming from with this, or where you're trying to go. There are varying degrees of how strictly scripture should be interpreted regarding aspects of modern life. Shaun believes premarital sex is wrong, and he bases that decision in the scripture he follows. Whether or not anyone else follows it is a moot point. This isn't a theological debate involving the entire Christian church, it's a matter of person opinion and belief, heh.
Originally posted by noodleboy being christian has nothing to do with weather
You are so right. Anyway. Do you have any particular aspect of Christianity in mind? Or are you just being vague without any real "case in point" situation? I can't think of any offhand that differ on that point.

Spending Saturday morning going to rummage sales with my mom. I love this--we used to go all the time when I was a little kid, heh. Not so much anymore, but it's still really fun. I love finding the perfect thing--whether it be a turtle figurine (I have several of these, for some reason...?), a large stuffed orangutang (his name is Zaius), or a McDonald's toy from the late 80s (these are usually free, yay!)--and claiming it as my own. For less than five dollars.
Walking to an ice cream place on a warm day and buying a cone of some fruit flavor. We don't live by any ice cream places right now, but it's just as fun to walk there from a friend's house.
Spending a while at a bookstore. I love bookstores. Whenever I'm at one, I get flooded by all sorts of a.) creative ideas, or b.) memories of books I read when I was in grade school.
Going down to the lake and making a sand sculpture. My sister and I made a gaint octopus last year; it was awesome. Alternately, going down to the beach with a group of friends, getting into a playful argument, and trying to throw each other into the water. That's fun, too.
Listening to the radio when some forgotten favorite song of mine comes on. This is such a great feeling, heh. I love singing, and this is like suddenly meeting an old friend or something--except there's no awkward silence, because I'm singing at the top of my lungs.
Mild computer time--A good chat with one or two friends, maybe scanning in a picture or two. Not too much computer time (although I can be very guilty of that) because then I get melancholy.
Crashing at a friend's house for the afternoon. I might bring along my brother, if I'm babysitting, and just hang out, myabe watch a movie--just have good afternoon with someone.
Finding a DDR song that I can actually pass! Heh. So I'm not great at DDR, but it is fun.
Listening to weird songs with my friends. Japanese stuff, random songs from video games, random Weird Al stuff....just completely random stuff.. The occasional classical piece of music, some stuff from Star Wars... I never know what'll come up when I'm listening to music with them. >_< Fun, though.
Going to someone's house and watching a movie in the basement. This is so fun. We end up making fun of movies pretty badly--everything seems funny, if you look at it the right way. But it is a lot of fun. And I've watched movies with friends that I never woud have watched by myself, so...it's...a good experience... Well, it's an experience, anyway.
Playing Scrabble. I like Scrabble, and my sister and I have fun rules for it. ^_^
Mucking around in the woods.
Chasing fireflies.
Just sitting outside at night, during the summer, when there's music and light and people inside, and you're just slightly removed from it... It's a good feeling.
Watching fireworks, or shows I liked when I was little.
Making people laugh.

Originally posted by Heaven's Cloud The worst thing about it was that the manager didn't even offer me my money back, she just asked if I wanted another hamburger...yeah right, do you think I'm stupid? There probably would have been a syringe lodged in the next burger...
My mom once found a half-inch chunk of pencil lead in a piece of Bubblicious. She complained, and got...a 50 cent coupon for more gum. Oh, yay! After spending the night at my friend Ashley's house, I once opened a box of Cap'n Crunch--brand new; I had to open the bag and everything--to find the entire thing thick with spiderwebs. It...was...disgusting. I couldn't even see any cereal--Heck, I don't know if there was even cereal in there. It seriously looked like that thick fake cobweb stuff you find in stores around Halloween. I opened a different box--again, brand-new--and everything looked okay. I ate my bowl of cereal, and was fine until I was almost done and saw a wriggling black bug swimming in the milk. All I said was, "I'm done eating now." And Ashley and I went outside to play, or something. ...although, now that I think of it, that may have been the last time I spent the night at her house.

*blinks* My apologies; I had no idea you would take that so harshly. Merely my sense of humor getting in the way again. :toothy: It's an okay picture. If she's ten, she'd be in what...fifth grade? It's not the best, but it's not terrible, either. It looks rather rushed--the horn, for example, being a curlique, and the tail and mane being different. It looks more stretched out than it probably should be, as well. The hooves are good, except for the one in the back, which...doesn't look like a hoof. It's a good job for that age group, I guess....I can't remember particularly what any of my pictures looked like when I was ten. I should find some and post them; that would be fun. Then again, I still can't draw horses. Silly things always look ridiculous. I wsa never really into them, anyway. All the other girls in my class were obsessed with Misty of Chincoteague and the like. I never was, heh.

I'm just saying what it looks like. The lack of a border makes it look like you cropped the corner off of someone's picture. It's a nice night sky, although it is jpeggy. And again, it needs a border or something. It looks unfinished.
