1. Hmm.... I'm pretty sure it was a Rhydon in G/S then. But then again, my G/S was Japanese so there might be a slight change
2. Ugh how can you stand catterpillars??? Have you ever seen those big, fat, god-knows-what colored, poisonous spikes infested, ugly, aggressive, creeping catterpillars?!?!?? They are nasty!! Even my cat never touches those!
3. Being alone is quite comforting at times, but also can be equally maddening. I guess the answer to the question depends on the events of the day and your mood. (How will you feel if you are alone while there is a party to which you were not invited? How will you feel if you are alone during a dark, stormy night?) It all depends.
4. Yeah, I was wondering how the hell he was stuck to the wall... on a side note, I got my times worth just by seeing that blind sucker get cold sweat from Saito
5. Until I discovered my cat had a personal taste for bugs, I relied mostly upon bug spray to kill be it flies, mosquitos, ants, w/e... If any, I seemed to be mutating them or evolving them... The first time it worked, the second they squirmed but they didn't die, the third had no effect whatsoever... Luckily for me, I discovered my cat licking up ants and swatting down flies so we have a nice partnership in which she gets food and we get no bugs. (That is, unless the bugs mutate/evolve into something that can take down my cat....)
6. Neferti, you missed being able to trade a dragonair for a rhydon in G/S/C. As I recall, you were able to trade it at the town with the 8th Gym.
7. Meh... everyone is mentioning Kaworu from Evangelion, but I really don't count him as a "minor" character... sure, he only appeared for like... 15 minutes but he played a huge, valuable role in the series. If you count minor in the amount of time they are shown, he is minor, but if you go by the impact a character makes, then Kaworu is definitely not minor.
Remember Lilith taking the form of Kaworu in EoE? A minor character will never get that...
Anyway, my favorite minor character is B.D.N.(Brilliant Dynamites Neon) from Trigun. Dude definitely had style...
8. Big O is a great series. The whole plot with the city losing its memory is interesting, and the mysteries of the Megaduce, the Android, etc. keep the series mysterious and captivating throughout. The robot battles are also pretty impressive, but kinda falls below my taste... I preferred the more smooth, flexive motions of the Evas, but I still think Big O is a great series.
9. WW2, remember that Bey Blade is the same as Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon.... its just some series created to advertise a product... in this case, Bey Blade... And playing with tops in Japan is deep rooted... kids used to battle with tops as a gamble(u win, u get the opponent's top) and it also set up something like a "hierarchy" within the kids society. But the show brings the little top battling a little overboard....
10. The scariest thing for me is when you have no idea what is lurking, you feel you are powerless, and your five senses do not yield you any information... that is the scariest.......
11. Like Cloricus, my longest time spent online was due to D2 :) Addicting game, isn't it Clor? The fist time I played it, I played it for 2 1/2 days straight and I only stopped cuz my parents came back earlier than I expected(they were away on a weekend trip or something) During that time, I got my char to lvl 91 though :D
12. Best Opening Theme definitely goes to "Cruel Angel Thesis" from Evangelion. There are numerous versions such as Yui v., Asuka/Rei/Misato v., Gendo/Fuyutsuki v., etc. etc. Great song and it encompasses almost everything that Eva is. Great piece matched with a great anime. Also, the ending theme for Gundam Seed is an awesome song too :)
13. The thing is, I think it is best to read/see a manga, anime, book, etc. in their native language. Some expressions and the general mood, or different regional accents can only be expressed by a specific language(How do you express Texan in Japanese?) So yeah, I guess reading the manga in the original Japanese is probably better than reading it in English, so i think its understandable that people feel more '1337' when they read it in Japanese -_-
14. After reading all that detailed explanation about missingno... all i can say is "eh??"... I have no idea what the heck it is.. and I probably would not want to -_-. Playing legit is fine with me.
15. Be warned, however, that Shedinja will have 1 hp no matter what you do to it... it can be hurt by sandstorm, hail, toxic, night shade, dragon rage, etc. so its quite frail...
16. Stupidest thing? Waking up 2 hours late for the SATs because I pulled an all-nighter. All that work gone to waste... not to mention pist-off parents...
17. I've been browsing through the Trigun Maximum Mangas, and I find most of the GHG member deaths in it very attractive, or emotional compared with their deaths in the series. For example,
When Leonof the Puppet Master dies in the anime, I basically started laughing cuz he was such an a**hole. Same for Hoppered the Gauntlet. But in the manga.... man... Leonof chooses to die because he loses the body of his loved one... and Hoppered with that tragic past... :bawl:
Though I like both the series and the manga, I definitely think the deaths in the manga are a lot better than in the series.
(Except Wolfwood... he is STILL alive in the manga...)
18. The Kamikaze pilots were voluntary. During that time, to die for the country was the biggest honor for the family(and for the individual). But even though it was voluntary, they really had no chance to have second thoughts. Before setting out, they were given sake to get drunk(not that drunk, but drunk enough not to think rationally.... maybe thats why they missed so much? dunno), and they were only given half-way fuel so if they decided to chicken out, they won't make it back so they had no choice really but to crash. But all this was after the pilots decided to be kamikaze pilots. So basically, the pilots were voluntary, but sent out guaranteed that they will not come back.
19. Very first I saw will be the movies series from Studio Ghibli. But then again, I really didn't consider them to be anime back then. What really got me hooked was Evangelion :)
20. I think Kikaider is very well made considering that my parents say they saw it when they were kids... good plot line, the character designs were a bit weird at first but its acceptable, and the ending theme is wonderful. Gotta love Tezuka style animes no? :)
21. Its not a bad idea, but I can't help but think that the only reason that people will request for a Trigun or a Bebop forum now is because they air it on Adult Swim. Once they stop, the forum could go under because new people will have no idea what they are about.
22.
Originally posted by Queen Asuka And the Japanese have very low morals and values.
Heh, I should take that as offensive, but I won't. As many others have stated before, we are just different. Though what is taboo in the U.S. is accepted here(especially in the sex area), the level of violence in the U.S. from our point of view is simply horrific. We just evolved a different form of culture from the Americans, and different = low is not necessarily the case. About the subbing, lets just pray and hope they do a good job(lol)

Anime Music

Video Game is definitely FF VII for reasons others stated. For Anime, I have a few candidates. 1) Princess Mononoke - I love the theme song. Its hard to believe its sung by a guy(Japanese one). 2) Evangelion - "Heart, Return to the Beginning" is just incredible as it speaks to us all in this technological age. "Cruel Angel Thesis" is one of my all time favorites and I have like 10 different versions of it  3) Kenshin - I love Kenshin because the music matches the combat scenes flawlessly and perfectly :)
24. Some people scorn anime that its for kids, its not for grown ups, its just violence and romance and blah blah blah... honestly though, its art. Its basically the same as a book with moving pictures. If grown-ups read books, why not watch anime? Anime is for all ages. I have a bit of bias against western cartoons, but some of them are really good while some of them just stink -_- But I guess that can be said for anime too.
25. Meh, I prefer Saito vs. Kenshin or Shishio vs. Kenshin... Aoshi vs. Kenshin isn't that exciting... Saito vs. Kenshin is just plain awesome  Kenshin gets stabbed up to the hilt!
