The Italian Job

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm holding out for it being good. The original one was excellent, although you always remember it better than it actually is. Anyway, I think the colours of the cars were recognising the original minis in the first movie with Michael Caine "You're only suppose to blow the bloody doors off!" heh heh, classic, simply classic.
4. Mighty Morphin' as totaly the best, but only with Zach Jason and Trini as the original rangers. I'm not complaining about the others like Rocky, but I just perfer the originals. That's what I used to watch as a kid. Any other British folks online'll remember fun in the Sun during the summer holidays, early morning TV with Mr Motivator. Don't tell me I'm the only one who used to watch that. Anyway, I was obsessed with that as a kid, but then it just got out of control with Zeo, Turbo, In space, nature force, that time one....waaaay out of control. I suppose just as long as they had Billy, Tommy and Kimberly it was good, then it just became stupid.
5. well well, some poetical originality at last. I must say it's a breath of fresh air against all these cloned love poems (mine included, although I'm allowed to like mine ^_~). I like the shakespearean quality of your first poem, it's classy yet completely mundane at the same time. I love it.
6. Jerith looked on in distress at the man's outburst of anger, rubbing his hand absently across his cheek where he had been struck. Murmering softly to himself he wondered how such a collection of his own works had been obtained and why, for that matter, would anyone want to do it. Draining the contents of his glass he held it absently in his fingers, slouching slightly in the comfy chair on which he sat. Frowning he watched the actors as they cavorted about the 'stage', licking his dry lips he focused on the young woman who remained nervous at the center of the troupe. Shifting in his seat his gaze flicked to his host who watched the actions with growing amusement. Jerith ran his hand over his face and sighed. So much for a quiet drunken evening wallowing in his own self pity. Confusion after confusion wrapped about his brain until all he could do was watch the performance before him. With a slight jarring sound he dropped the glass from his quivering fingers, it remaining in tact as it hit the ground. Unresponsive to the sound under the music of the violin he lost himself in the atmosphere.
7.
Originally posted by Braidless Baka Blah, I've just done my AS-Levels and my grades weren't that good. I'm tactfully trying to figure out a bunch of resits to do in January (as well as my exams that I have then anyway O_o) I've got six exams in January if my plans don't change too drastically. But I'm opting for Multimedia Computing. Either that or Computer Science. And guess which idiot took A-Level Maths? One of the hardest exams there is... *sigh* So yeah, I'm kinda worried that I won't make my grades... If only my teachers decided my grades. Exams boards are icky O_o;; I also have to get my grades because I want to study in America for a semester. Sucks to be me... :(
*hugs Baka tight* awww don't stress, stress is bad, stress is my job ^_~. Yeah I only have to resit my Othello paper so it's not that bad. I just have to figure out which University i want to go, stupid UCAS...I don't really wanna think about if I don't get the grades. Be happy kid...it'll all sort itself out you'll see *hugs again*.
8. All that Jerith's alcohol infused brain recognised was the glass of wine handed to him by the stranger. Raising it to his lips took a mouthful and gulped it down, barely savouring the flavour of the liquid and hardly realising the expense he had just ingested. Walking slowly behind the finely dressed man he wandered, wide eyed he gazed at the lavishly hung paintings that adorned the walls. The bright colours, subtle tones, exquisit figures and touching scenes imposed themselves upon his mind. Even through the haze that clouded his thoughts he still could appreciate the sight of fine art. Turning to look back at his host he took another wouthful of the wine and hurried after him, falling in step beside him. How did this stranger know him so well? He considered questioning him on his motives now that they were safe within a public building, but he restrained himself, quelling his curiosity for polite obediance. Unable to surpress an amzed sigh at the sights that surrounded him he commented on a particularly promenant image, framed with guilted oak. "Beautiful...simply...." His voice slurred slightly as he shook his head once more and meandered along.
9. Other than the witch king...it's Khamûl. My turn. What is the name of Gandalf's sword?
10. *smirks*, don't get me started on how great I think Gravi is. I know it's like a soap opera and everything but really, I think it's wonderful. It's hilarious to tell you the truth, I nearly killed myself laughing in ep2 where shuichi's getting ready to go on stage. It's so funny. I'm not usually one for slapstick comedy but this is good stuff. Also, what with Yuki being the extreme stone hearted b*****d he is and being so mean to shuichi. It's just so sweet. The music's great too. I recommend Gravi to anyone who will listen, and this also seems like a wonderful time to plug my Gravi fics...just click on the link in my sig ^_~
11. Okay okay, phrases and words huh? Well let's see, you've got the obvious Meh - which can be used in many terms as a shrug off or a 'whatever' I live in northern england, so there are many colloquialisms (spelt right? meh) such as y'alrite, aye and haway, haway meaning come on. I say other things but I can't think of any right now.

15. Maybe you find it hard to breath because you are tired and your body has been working all day. All bodies need to rest, it's like machinery, if you keep machinery going non stop for days on end they're going to end up struggling. Everything needs to recharge therefore so do you. To get rid of these breathing problems I suggest you get some sleep, whether your mind wants to or not.
16. Jerith walked, bemused with the stranger, his brow knit in an expression of confusion. He thought how strange it was that a complete stranger would come and offer his hand in aid to a young man he hardly knew. A drunken man no less. Trying to shake off the alcoholic haze from his mind he sought vainly to piece his thoughts together in a sensical pattern. They would not, however, and jerith was left to wander, dazed, after the strange, well dressed man who walked before him. Surely he wasn't a theif, he was dressed too finely to be a common theif. maybe he was a murderer, a serial killer. Jerith's thoughts ran wild as he followed. He could be the owner of some tastless bar, a slave trader, anything! His eyes widened in panic but he found he could not draw hismelf away from this man who strode so calmly down the street. I saw your work. What does that mean? Was he intending to comission a piece from him? If it was true then Jerith would be imensely greatful, God knows he needed the money. He was inspired he said, to write something. Calming his thoughts once more Jerith wrinkled his brow once again and held his hand to his aching head. Write what? Is that where they were going? Why was he following this man? Too many questions. Jerith shook his head and resigned himself to follow this man, whatever the outcome may be.
17. So in other words it's a buffy type superhero show. The hero trying to keep a social life and "be normal" while also trying to save the world from the evil super villans that threaten it. I've never particularly like the CG kind of animations, like Beast Wars and such. I'm a stickler for the original type...though cell shading...I dunno. I haven't seen this new series, since I live in Britain and we get everything a little late. I have seen the Fox production and the animation of Ultimate Spiderman, and I like those fair enough. I'm pretty much a DC fan myself but a good animation is a good animation. I shall wait to see for myself what it's like.
18. Soft footfalls echoed down the darkened street, the only illumination that which came from the fake flurescent lights that polluted the sky with their harsh light. A shadowed figure stumbled, dazed, across the road, his garments slightly scuffed from an incident with a grating not too long ago. Mumbling incoherently to himself, the man took a large swig from the bottle he was carrying, wiping his hand across his grimy face. Snorting in disgust when he found the bottle to be empty he threw it against the wall of a building that lined the street on which he stood. The glass shattered upon the impacted and sprayed shards across the path. Watching the sharp pieces glitter in the lamplight, the man sobbed slightly and rested himself on the edge of the pavement, covering his face with his hands. He had come here to dream, to become something that he could not be. The city had beckoned as it had all of the young. His small village now left behind, another time, another country. Now, stuck here with nothing but the clothes he wore and a small appartment he rented for the money he made selling the pictures he created. Nothing, it amounted to nothing. And as he sat there on the grimy pavement, sobbing into alchohol stained hands, he wished he had never come to New York.
19. ....wow. Now that's good, that's really good. Jeez, it really puts all my poetical works to shame really *sulks*. I really like it, it has deeper meaning that msot poems and is really quite thoughtful.
20. First off I would please ask people to forgive my spelling on this post, I'm very tired. Anyway, I think that emotional maturity has something to do with you naivety level and, as has been said, the way you deal with certain emotional situations. Like say if you were completely niave about something that would mean that your emotional maturity towards the subject was low. Unless of course you acted towards that naivety in a mature way not going "what does that mean" in a long drawn out childish way. Emotional maturity is where you can deal with something important or intense, like say a relative passing away, in a mature responsible way. Not acting like a brat or going huffy when noone is paying attention to you or saying something really innapropriate, if you get my meaning. I know I'm making no sense...I'm tired, leave me alone.
21. Another post...annoyed yet ^_~? -------------------------------------------- It does not turn as it once did, This life in which I dwell is cold There is no feeling left inside Inside this shell of mine. I do not feel the wind as keen When once my days were full of life, There is no comfort left inside, A hole forms deep within. Familiar sights do burn and blind, I have no saviour from this pain, This numb, unfeeling, harsh demand That suffocates me so. Maybe this feeling will not stay, The distance I now feel will flee, And I will once more relish life As I did so long ago. --------------------------------------------- Another one ------------------- ?I?m late! I?m late!? Damn straight I?m late, The world went on without me. I was thinking of the answer when The question ran right by me. I?m lost, I?ve lost All that I?ve lost, Though I never really had it, It ran away with the world one day Before I had time to grab it. My thoughts still shine But no longer mine, They belong to someone else now. Because I flinched my arm got pinched And I?ve awakened from this dream now. Because I denied What others tried I lost the chance prove it. It would be great, but I?m far too late, So all I?ve done is lose it.
22. Och, Dark Crystal rules, although as Solo said it originally really scared me. Me only being very young at the time. Those Sketsies (sp?) we really creepy, especially that outcast one *shudders*. I really liked it...I need to find it again, I wonder if i have it on tape *muses*. To tell you the truth I have only seen parts of Labyrinth, I haven't seen it all the way through. Anything with David Bowie in it get's my vote though ^_~.
23. Let's not forget the early morning showns of sailor moon now children *shudders* only for the insomniacs or extremely hungover among us. Let's see, the anime I have been privy to are 'Blue Sub 6' on sci-fi, 'Outlaw Star' and 'Cowboy Be-bop' on what was formerly known as CNX. Also, 'Gundam Wing' and the obvious Pokemon and Digimon. I do think that there's a distinct lack of anime on UK television, however it does whet your appetite for other anime that you can go out and purchase for youself.
24. Name: Jerith Arkum 1) Growing up in a small village in southern England, Jerith had what could be called a happy childhood. caught by the beauty of the surrounding nature at a young age he decided early one what he wanted to be. An artist. That is what he was before all this madness decended upon him. He always had artistic aspirations, far beyond those he could put into words. Schooled in the fine arts as a young man he studied the great painters and sculptors of the past in an attempt to capture the pure essence of his being in art. This, obsession, some might called it, consumed him for most of his young life, separating him from his family who strove to understand him but couldn't. His father was a simple craftsman, intent on teaching his son his own job in the hopes that he would one day continue on his lifes work. This was not to be. An only child, Jerith's mother cherished him and spoiled hi to the point where Jerith had everything he could possibly want, but still it was not enough. Striving to capture the beauty he saw around him, Jerith left the small villiage of his home and made his way to America and the bright lights of New York, the Big Apple, in a desperate attempt to find himself. Dressed in simple clothing Jerith owned very little in the way of commodities. Dressed neatly in brown leather pants and black boots, a loose black shirt with a white vest worn underneith and a long black coat. The coat worn and the boots scuffed he at the very least tried to make himself presentable. His long dark brown hair was tied at the back and no presence of stubble marred his neatly shaven face. The only ornaments that adorn him were a silver cross around his neck (I don't know if that legend applies here so he has one unless stated otherwise), two silver rings, one on his left hand and one on his right, and a silver thumb right on his left hand. After the embrace he would look mostly the same, although the pink lustre of his face would be lost to the ivory complexion of death his eyes, now a tumultuos grey, reflecting his inner turmoil. 25. I don't know really. I mean I love disney movies, my favourite being a contest between Mulan and Beauty and the Beast, and I know that the singing and music was a big part of that. Anyone remember sing-a-long videos? Anyway, I think that the songs in more classic type disney movies like Aladdin and Mulan are far more catchier than those in movies like Toy Story and Finding Nemo. To tell you the truth I haven't really noticed the transition, although, those songs do seem to define what disney is. For example, can anyone tell me if Shrek was Disney? Now for me, with all these dreamworks things wandering around like Sinbad and that moses one it's getting more and more difficult to tell. You used to be able to tell, like with snow white and stuff and the songs just made it recognisable. Disney is something everyone can enjoy and those songs are something everyone can sing, even if it isn't perfectly in tune ^_~. I think that Disney should revert back to the original animation, song and dance, if only for a couple of movies, just for the nostalgic among us. I'm not saying that all the new stuff isn't great, but it seems to rely on humour more than hitting you here *pats chest*. You cry at most disney movies don't you. Who cried at Lion King? Who cried at Bambi? Who cried in Beauty and the Beast? These CG ones don't do that to me. They're brilliant movies don't get me wrong but there's just something missing. I haven't see treasure planet so I don't really know about that one. You miss the singing...it's something you can sing to anyone at anytime and they know it. It's generational.
