[size=1][color=slategray]I've never really paid any attention to certain genres. I just listen to whatever peaks my interest. Yet, a band that I'm growing incredibly fond of is [B]The LoveCrave[/B]. At least, I'm quite sure they fit into the Goth genre, but it doesn't matter to me either way. Anyway. This is an emerging band from Italy that's been doing a lot of tours with [B]The Birthday Massacre[/B]. I believe their first album comes out in October, which I can't wait to get my hands on. I've been listening to their demos via MySpace, and I can't get enough of them. Ahh, I love the vocals and how they tie all of their elements together. Makes me get goosebumps whenever I listen to them. Damn, I want a [B]The LoveCrave[/B] shirt.[/color][/size]

[size=1][color=slategray]Apparently there is another installment of Jak & Daxter coming our way. Or, at least, that's what IGN.com announced sometime back in May. I guess that so far, the title isn't permanent, but there is definitely something going on. I'm honestly thrilled. I think that the series is running it's full course, which isn't always a great idea. But if a new saga for Jak & Daxter starts up again, I have a feeling that no matter how stale they may get, they'll be my biggest guilty pleasure. I've really loved the series so far, I thought Naughty Dog did a great job with this one. Sure, the third game [I]did[/I] get out of character quite a bit, and spun everything in a whole new direction (which I'll admit it annoyed me)... but they seemed to patch everything back up in Jak X. So... any other Jak fans out there? Thoughts on a new game? Have more info to add? Be my guest to share. Oh, and I noticed that there aren't any threads for Jak & Daxter in the directory... so, any discussion in general to the series is quite welcome as well. [/color][/size]

[size=1][color=slategray]Let's see. The history of my names... [B]Conna_da_fox[/B]: I honestly have no idea. Somehow I'd made up the name Conna somewhere along the way. It probably was inspired by a few other names, but names I cannot recall. I used it for so long, that I actually convinced myself it was a real name. Haha. And then I added _da_fox on the end because of my adoration of the fox creatures. Plus, Conna was a character I had made up when I was about ten for InuYasha fan fictions... and she was a fox demon. How dorky is that? :p [b]Lix[/b]: Another made-up name. It originated from my obsession with Felix from the Golden Sun series. As I looked at the name once, I realized the lix part could be separated on it's own, while still sounding quite awesome. (In my mind anyway. XD) Plus, it sounded far more mature than Conna_da_fox. So I took it. Then, after so long.... people pointed out that it sounds like "licks" and I got ridiculed for that quite a lot. Haha. So, I got sick of it and changed. [b]Bláse[/b]: I guess this name crossed my mind when I realized how much I wasn't impressed by anything anymore. Everything seemed familiar, like I'd been through déjà vu countless times. I was acting incredibly laid back and mellow about everything in my life, even when things seemed to get out of control. I just didn't care anymore, so I thought the name "Blasé" would be fitting. But, being the genius that I am, I put the accent mark on top of the wrong letter. Ah well, it didn't bother me much... and I'm too lazy to get it fixed. As for other names I've used in various places- [B]Vexare[/B]: I believe it is the Latin word that "vex" comes from. I found that one day and thought it sounded sexy. Haha. I don't remember where I have that name... probably in some forum somewhere... and I've used it for different site account names. It's also the name of my band on Guitar Hero. :) [b]Fyxe[/b]: Well, this one is on my avatar, which ties into my fox set right now. Plus, it's my username on some small forums. I really love this name. It's the Old English word for female fox, which molded the word "vixen." I stumbled across it once when I was randomly looking up words in my dictionary. Vixen happened to be one of those words, so I got to read up on it's history.[/color][/size]

[size=1][color=slategray]My school just had an assembly today about how bullying can make kids mentally snap. A few examples were of these school shootings that were carried out by targeted students that were bullied every day. Even though I knew those things happened, and that was unsettling enough... just having a man walk through a school's doors and open fire, that's terrible. Schools have fire escape routes and tornado-safe rooms. But... what about protection against shootings? I think it's ridiculous that we lose so many lives to shootings, in a place where you are supposed to have comfort in being safe. I know it's a hard thing to stop, but generally, I don't see much of an effort to stop it.[/color][/size]

Since I am incredibly good at sneaking up on people, I'd use the shadows and louder areas to it's full advantage. Everything is better when you are up close for the "kill"... so, take a plastic/rubber knife and sneak up behind the person when they are eating. You just completed your contract, my friend. I thought band class itself was great. I loved having time to play my trumpet. Buuut, marching was a different thing completely. I got too obsessive over how straight our lines were and how no one ever took it seriously. It wore me out and I got sick of it incredibly fast. So, dropping out of band was no real loss to me. But I still like to whip out that trumpet every other week and play the Harry Potter theme and some jazzy Cowboy Bebop beats.[/color][/size]

I think I'd actually rather see a fan-based movie instead of a huge motion picture. Because this way, we know it'll at least stay true to the general story. I was thrilled when Toonami announced that they were showing the uncensored version. But then I sort of lost track, and when I went to watch it again, it wasn't on anymore. Either that, or it switched spots. I've been too lazy to check.
