"Hmph, we'll just see what happens.." Roman said cooly as he drew his rifle, taking carefully aimed shots at the demons now encircling the girl from Yushi No Yami, killing one of them. Suddenly there was a wooshing sound from behind, and one of the drones flew up behind Roman, sending massive scratch marks up over his back. He stopped and paused for a moment, looking almost mockingly at the offending drone. "You shouldn't...have...done...that." He said with growing anger as a dark aura began emenating from around him. Tao and May looked in slight surprise at him, since they knew what was coming. Sure enough, Roman went into Devil Trigger, and immediately pounced the offending drone right through the wall, then turned his attention to one climbing on the ceiling. With an incredible leap, he jumped all the way up and batted it's head off messily. In a study of concentration, he began to fall back down to the ground, but aimed himself, stoming on another drone and crushing it. At that moment, the Devil Trigger wore off, and Roman returned to normal, running and firing as though nothing had happened. "The things must be coming from the attic. Look at them swarm near the stairs and ceiling." Roman explained patiently as Gus and Meteo finished blowing another one away. "Looks like they have the same idea..." Gus pointed out as Tao led the other two towards the balcony staircase. Roman grimaced, but then had an idea. "You guys think you can handle more?" Roman asked, the other two looked at each other nervously. Roman, not waiting for an answer, armed a large pipe bomb from under his coat, and threw it up to the ceiling. A massive explosion ensued, and several drones fell from the new hole. Gus and Meteo began to blast them, but Roman was heading off. "See you! Keep them occupied while I go for the queen!" Roman yelled, Meteo and gus looked at each other nervously, then stood back to back and fired at the drones around them. Roman reached the second floor area and suddenly hear a loud gunshot to his right. He knew it wasn't Tao, since he had gone another way. He turned into a bedroom, where a lone man was trying to blow a larger drone off the wall. Roman raced forward and rended the drone in half with a claw swipe, and the man looked at him in amazement. "Need a hand?" Roman asked politely, the man nodded and the two raced upstairs. "What's your name?" Roman asked as they climbed a winding staircase to the attic. "Jason...Jason Wedge."

>NOVUS CONCORDIA: SYGNOSIS X TRAINING FACILITY... >SCANNING....DONE >FACILITY IDENTIFIED Loki squinted slightly, the building looked like it was still under construction, and he wondered what could be going on there. Suddenly there was an incredible bang, and Loki recoiled slightly as a bright flash of light swept over the area. He saw that the building was made to look like a construction area, in order to create an effective training ground. Grinning slightly, Loki raced at top speed for the border area of the facility, and quickly looked around for the fastest way in. He vaulted over a chain link fence, carefully avoinding the barbed wire by bending it out of the way with his skill. Then he flattened himself against a steel beam, peering around the corner. There was a major battle going on, with several Reploids waging heavy combat against many other drone robots. Loki paused slightly, wondering what in the world was happening. Sygnosis X was spending that much money and resources in training on drones, that it could be using ot finance the developement of newer Reploids. Unable to fathom the mind of the group, Loki rushed behind a big pile of bricks and peered slightly over the top, to make sure there was nothing happening. BOOM, an incredible cannnon blast salied through the air and barely missed Loki's head, he ducked down amid a shower of gravel and iron pieces from the blast, and he rushed around the corner looking for the entrance. Completely lost, he looked around for other signs of life. He suddenly became aware of movement next to him. In a flash, he turned around and noticed and especially large drone bearing down on him. He ducked out of the way, and was assisted by another Reploid who had seen him already. Loki silently cursed himself for being visible, and he turned as the other Reploid stared at him. Suddenly, another blast came from the drone and leveled an adjacent area, and Loki took the present opportunity to duck away and try to find that entrance. He slunk around, crouching behind beams to avoid detection from both drones and Reploids, otherwise he would be dead before the mission was over...

OOC: My apologies to Geist, thanks for the PM, I'll stay in this story. Am I a vampyre now or what? I'm confused... Piers looked up as the youths left in almost total silence, as quietly as they had arrived. He sat down heavily, what kind of madness was this? What had he just become a party to? Had he joined the demons..or was there more to it? These strange thoughts swirling around in his mind, he stepped outside into the cool night air and waited for some sign. What was happening? He became aware of movement in the street, and he was about to step forward and examine it, but then decided against it, he had had enough unnatural surprises for one night. He turned the corner and paused, where would he go now? He wasn't sure he could just go home and back to bed after what had just happened, and he was also quite certain that if he stayed out for too much longer, he would be dead by morning as well. He sighed and rested his back against a wall, what was he going to do now? He turned on his heel and began to walk back towards his home, but after walking down the misty block for a little while, he turned and began to walk in another direction. Not knowing what he would be getting into, he turned into an alley and walked down to a waterfront area. He looked to his left, then to his right, no one around. He sighed and lit up his pipe, taking a deep breath and blowing out a gust of smoke. He sighed and coughed slightly, looking out at the river. He then became aware of someone moving close to him. "Manson?" Piers asked in semi-amazement, nothing more could possibly amaze him tonight. Manson nodded calmly and sat down on a bench, a strange gleam in his eye. He looked strangel sick, but his facial expression seemed to be somewhat alive, as though he was excited about something. "Going to let me in on the news?" Piers asked with a smile, Manson smiled back, and looked at him with strangely bloodshot eyes. "I believe I have found the cure to our disease..." "That is excellent news, I knew you could do it." Piers said, looking back at the water. Manson stared at him unnervingly. "It's a simple matter, when you have the potential to test your new cures on a subject, the solution becomes much easier to attain..." Piers frowned. "Ther have been no new subjects, Manson...how can you test the cure when..." Manson stood up and looked almost hungrily at Piers, who began taking stepd back. Manson undid a button on his shirt, revealing a horrible bite mark. "Not you too..." Piers said, stumbling near the river's edge. Manson grinned coldly and stepped forward. "The cure is...sadly...incomplete. I am able to survive with my sanity, and my health is just as fine as ever. However...now I have a need to find new sources of nourishment..." "Nourishment? You don't mean.." Before he could finish, Manson dove on top of him and knocked him closer to the edge, choking him. Piers gasped for breath and looked down at the calm black water beneath him. He looked at a small brick which was loose from the edge, and he reached down for it, pulling with all his strength. "Too late to save yourself! I have found the answer, and with your death, it is only a matter of time before it is complete! do not worry, your death will be the salvation of hundreds of others! You have done all you were meant for!" Manson cackled with laughter just as Piers dislodged the brick. With one heavy swing, Piers smashed Manson's head with the brick, stunning him and cauding him to break his grip and fall over, Piers pulled a large syringe out of his case, and plunged it into the back of Manson's neck as he tried to get up. He fell into unconsiousness from the aenesthetic, and Piers looked at him for a moment before picking up his case and running off in the other direction. He had to find those other creatures, and find some way to get his friend back... OOC: Edited...I'm so lost...

Roman grinned slightly, for a human, this man seemed very detemined, and he was quite certain he would not dissapoint. Roman stood up and examined him closely from toe to the top of his head, then back down, then he looked him in the eye. "You seem like the right person, first, you'll have to try and kill me." No sooner had the words left Roman's mouth when Gus drew a Desert Eagle pistol and held it to his forehead. The man was lightning quick, as he had said. Roman, without giving it a second thought, spun around with demonic quickness and knocked the weapon out of Gus' hand. Grinning slightly, Roman drew his claw with his left hand, then slashed his right in a surprise manuver. Gus stared at Roman's bleeding hand for a second, then Roman smiled evilly, and Gus began to feel the powerful aura swirling around him. "If you can survive my attack, you can join me." He said as his body began to change, with a deafening roar and a burst of light, Roman transformed into a massive black wolf demon, who immediately charged and blasted Gus into a wall. He rushed forward, but Gus picked up his Desert Eagle and made a few shots, one of them hit Roman in the eye, and he roared in agony and fury. Gus took the opportunity to roll out of the way as Roman jumped several feet into the air, almost hitting the ceiling, and bringing a claw down with such force that he ripped a hole in the wall. Gus reared back and attempted several highly accurate face shots, but Roman caught the bullets in his paws, and let them drop harmlessly to the ground. He raced forwards, blowing the pool table out of his way, sending it flying through a window, and Gus took a brave step forward and punched Roman in the face, then rolled behind the desk. Roman, enraged, picked up the desk with one hand, sending the phone and stacks of paper o the floor, and just as he was about to crush Gus with the table, there was another howl and flash of light, and the desk fell to the ground with a bang. Roman had reverted to normal, and now had an angry scratch on his hand. He grinned, then helped Gus off the floor. "You're in." He said simply, impressed with the caliber of this human. Gus grinned slightly and leaned on a chair, when Meteo stormed into the room to see what was happening. "What the hell happened?" He asked, looking at the broken window and half the pool table lying in the street, as well as Gus. "You a friend of Dante's?" Roman asked, raising an eyebrow. "Yeah." Meteo responded simply, Roman chuckled. "You work for me now, so sit back and relax." He said as he returned to the swivel chair, suddenly the phone began to ring, and Roman answered it, picking it up off the floor. "Hello?...Yeah....yeah we do that...ok...how much...deal." Roman hung up the phone and checked his rifle. Gus stared at him. "What was that about?" He asked, Roman pulled a pipe bomb out of his coat and spun it in the air before putting it away. "We got the call...let's go." "What's it about?" Meteo inquired. "Old guy, says he's got a demon in his house." "How do we know he's not just crazy?" Gus asked in annoyance. "Only the crazy people call here anyway, but he said he already called another place, so we better hurry." With that, Roman raced out the door and started his truck, Meteo jumped in the back, and Gus in the cabin. There was a squeal of tires as the truck sped off for the place... OOC: Yushi No Yami, you are also recruited for this job, we can work together, but we are still in a bit of rivalry. Anyone who is working for DMC can still find Roman in the mission, and join him then.

OOC: *Sigh* I had tons of work to do, and I'm not in this fight since I haven't taken anyones side. Taking a deep breath, Loki looked down at the ground, feeling the warm water trickle down his back. It was a good feeling, but...was it real? Was it just some strange program written inside his mind that made him react this way to heat? Was it some kind of brain machine that only did as it was told? Loki reached up and pressed a hand to his head, feeling his hair. It felt real, but it was still...very uncertain. He wasn't sure what he was, and now that he had escaped from that prison, he was sure he never would. It was avery conflicting feeling, he had to go, but he wanted to stay and learn more... Conflicting emotions... Were these just programs written in his mind too? Programs for pain, anger, sadness, happiness, warmth? What was inside of him, could he life with these strange feelings? Were they human, or were they...just...programs? Loki stepped out of the steam bath and began to throw his clothes on quickly, he wasn't sure what he was once, but he did know what he was doing now. He had recently heard a rumour about an important assignment involving Sygnosis X, and he hoped to find some employment. Suddenly he felt a small twinge in the back of his neck, and lapsed into unconciousness, he was receiving a message... Loki looked into the infinite void around him, and there seemed to be a voice booming from all around him. "Are you prepared for your assignment?" "Show me your face, first, then we talk." "I am afraid that is impossible, I believe you have no choice in this matter, the price is right, so do you accept?" "...Tell me a bit about it..." "Simple, you are to sneak into Sygnosis X's headquarters via their training facility, there is currently a test underway, but it is unlikely that they will recognize you as the enemy. We need you to steal some data for us, and we will pay you well for it..." "...I accept..." Suddenly the void began to twist and turn as Loki began to download his new mission data. >Scanning for viruses... >None detected, running automatic misson update data... >SYGNOSIS.DAT Downloaded... >SY40DATA.DAT Downloaded... >Initiating automatic biological energy generator... >MAGNET.BAT Downloaded... >FORM.BAT Downloaded... >Running automatic checkup on all data...done... >Resuscitation in 3...2...1... Loki awoke with a start, having all of the information downloaded to his brain automatically, he put on his jacket and headed outside, scanning the region for the right building...Loki picked up a large heat signal coming in from around the building a little ways away, as well as several sources of noise and energy, that must be the place. He took a few steps forward and paused to reflect on what he was thinking earlier...then walked in the direction of the building at his own pace...

"Hmph, stand aside." Hirei said cruelly to David, drawing his gunblade in one lighning motion. David stepped out of the way, albeit slightly resentfully, and Hirei walked forward. "You don't know how long I've waited for this moment, the years spent having to wander around your pathetic world, a silent spirit, wating for the moment to strike. I killed myself for my world and my family, and you don't even have the spine to do the same. You're pathetic, an insult to our existence." Hirei aid, the Master just smiled coolly, drawing his own blade, which was heavily adorned and had silvery bloodstains. "You say that, and yet you are in fact, the one who is dead." He lunged forward and Hirei made a near impossible block, swinging the blade forward from a weak position and pressing the trigger, causing a golden light to explode from the tip. The Master reared back, then ran right up a wall and tried to strike down, but Hirei drew his other blade, Darksol, and blocked it, throwing the Master off balance. He just reared back and grinned. "You think you can win against my body...but it's too late..." Suddenly he drove his own blade into his chest and sank to the ground, but Hirei saw his spirit start to float off, heading towards Nika. "You'll be next, girl..." The Master's cold words echoed through the air, and Hirei wasa blinded by rage. "RELEASE HER!!!" ...Ken awoke inside his mind with a jolt, he felt Hirei was furious, and his body was quivering, as though he was trying to will his insides to suddenly explode from his skin. Ken began to feel a sight pull against his chest as Hirei tried to separate himself from Ken. "Come back here, we're not done." Ken said in annoyance, but Hirei wasn't litening, and Ken now felt his chest was starting to pull harder, and it was painful. "Stop! AAH!" Ken yelled out in pain as Hirei tried furiously to split from Ken, but the bond between them was trying to pull them back together, and it was extremely painful. Ken passed out a moment later, and Hirei split himself from Ken. Hirei's bright white soul flooded into Nika's body at the sam time as the Master. Suddenly Nika fell to the floor, and began convulsing violently as though she was being electrocuted. The two souls inside of her were battling for control, and Ken, now returned ot normal, simply passed out. Arika checked on him, he was out cold. "The damage from Hirei separating from him knocked his soul out, I...I don't know if he'll recover..." The rest of the group stood in shock, as though Arika had just proclaimed Ken dead. Suddenly Nika stopped moving, and she began to get up slowly. "Did Hirei win? Or is that the Master?" TJ asked sourly, gritting his teeth and pulling out his sword. Nika stood up, standing slightly lopsided, as though she was learning to walk for the first time. Then she straightened herself, and vanished. The group looked around in confusion, then noticed that she had teleported herself to the Master's body, and was now holding his bloodstained sword. "Nika?!" David asked expectatly, panicking. Nika smiled, a cold smile unlike that of the bright child. "The fool and the girl are dead, now we can fight without interference..."

OOC: Please check the Recruitment thread for updates I made as of last Friday, including any grievances with your signups. Remember that posts must be three paragraphs, or at least 17 lines long, not counting OOC. I may let this slip once, but if you break the rules you're out. Dante reclined in his swivel chair and but his black leather boots on the desk at the head of his office at Devil May Cry. He looked around in disgust, the place was falling apart. There was a pool table with a game in progress that he had not finished since last year, when it started, and there were many demon heads impaled upon swords that were pinned to the walls, some of them still bleeding, the swords were rusting, and the heads were rotting and stinking. The paint on the walls was peeling, the bricks on the outside were cracking, and the large neon sign outside was shorting out. He looked at the large ghetto box in the corner...broken. He sighed and put his hands behind his head, when in the hell was someone going to buy the business?... As if on cue, the door swung open almost noiselessly and a tall, black haired man glided silently into the office. If he hadn't stepped on a creaky floorboard, Dante never would have noticed him. "Can I help you?" Dante asked irritably, looking at this weirdo in a brown trenchcoat and a hand hidden under it. "This the place for sale?" The man asked in a low voice. "Yeah, you here for it?" Dante asked, closing his eyes, bored as ever. This guy seemed to be nothing more than some idiot about to turn the place into a bar or a strip club or something. Dante opened one eye and looked at him again, this time he noticed something in his eyes... "Yes...this is for demon hunters...no?" Dante peered at him more closely, this time he definetely saw a yellowish glow in his eyes...maybe this guy wasn't such a loser after all... "Yeah...but you have to show me that you can take care of the business..." Dante said, getting up and turning around, picking up his sacred sword, Alastor, from a stand on the wall. "And how do you do that?" The man asked, grinning slightly. In one lighting motion, Dante whipped around and threw the sword into the man's chest, he yelled as a torrent of blood spewed out, a moment later, the sword began to spark and jolt with electricity, and the man screamed in agony before he fell to the ground. Dante groaned and sat down again, thinking that he would never get rid of the place, he closed his eyes slowly... "You shouldn't have done that..." He opened one eye and saw the man on his feet again, the sword still stuck in his chest, still sparking with electricity. Dante grinned slightly, maybe this was the right guy after all... Dante pulled the sword out of the man's chest and tried to swing it, but the man reached up and blocked it with his shirt sleeve. Dante stared in disbilief for a moment before realizing that the man had a claw hidden underneath. He took a quick swipe with the other hand, knocking the Alastor away, and spun around once, trying to make a cut, but Dante pulled another sword off the wall and blocked it. The two men backed off for a moment before charging again, taking swipes at each other whenever the opportunity presented itself. Dante was backed against the pool table, and jumped to the side as the man divided it with one swipe. Dante pulled another two sword off the wall and threw them both. The man took one in the chest, the other in the gut, but backed off only a little before moving forward again. He took a quick swipe, which Dante ducked to avoid, but then found himself pinned against the wall by a sword that the man had pulled off the wall. The man then pointed a large automatic rifle right at Dante's face, who hung there impaled on his own sword like a piece of meat. The two men grinned for a moment, then Dante spat a stream of blood right onto the ghetto box, causing it to make a small poppeing nose and a few sparks to fly. The man lowered the gun and pulled the sword out of Dante's gut, then asked: "So, did I make it?" "Hmph, see ya." Dante said, not helping cracking a small grin, now that he had found someone to take over. Without another word, he stepped into the back, and a moment later there was a squeal of tires, and the man stared at the back wall in perplexity as he heard Dante's bike speed off into the night. Roman was now the one relining in the small swivel chair, his leather boots lying on top of the table, him commenting on how the place needed fixing up, including the rottig demon heads, the blood stained ghetto box, and the pool table, which was now broken into two eqal pieces. He closed his eyes, but they snapped open again as he heard someone walk in the door... OOC: Ok, everyone else can find some way of getting into their respective business, the person at the door is the one who is looking for a job at DMC. Once again, please check the Recruitment thread for info.

I just bought AC3: Silent Line yesterday, and I really, really like it. I love the many new parts available, as well as the missions and music, and the new storyline is cool, if a little hard to understand. I've played every PS2 AC game out there, and have completed them all. I agree with quietstranger16 on the fact that Arena is the best way to go when you're starting any AC game. Usually, you make a bit of money with your fist few victories, but you also get parts which you can sell for more money, or equip on your AC. Silent Line is definetely the hardest AC game out there, with AC2: AA in second and AC2 in third. AC3 got a little too easy for my taste. In any case, I have not played any of the PSX AC games, but I have a friend who has. In AC2: AA, you'll notice that
the last few enemies you fight in Lost Field are considered unknowns, but they are actually AC's from the PSX games. The first one is Stinger from AC1: Project Phantasma, the second is Phantasma from the same game, and the third is Nine-Ball from AC1: Master of Arena.
I am not sure if the PSX AC games are avaliable here, but that is the info I got from my friend. Oh, and as for my favorite AC of all time, check out my banner. I made it using an image from my PS2. it was a heavy biped with two grenade launchers and a chain gun, complete with OP-INTENSIFY (AC3).
-
YES! Krademon recognized it as being from Armored Core. It is one of my fave AC's that I made from Armored Core 3, and it's name is "Whatever", hence the quote and the title of this thread. If you want more info, I am in an AC story currently that you can check out. Oh, and here is the avi. Thanks for the comments! Keep em' coming! EDIT: *sigh*, the avi is too big, and therefore I changed it. (is it just me or do avi sizes change all the time?)

Answer to Matto: Carbunkl, Shoat, Bismark, Maudin, Unicorn, Phantom. Answer to Sage: She is Barret's daughter. In FFVI, who are the first four character you get
after the end of the world?
-
This is a new banner I made using an image I cropped from a game of mine, anyone who knows me well enough will recognize it immediately (or, maybe not). Uh, tell me what you think, if you know me or not. There's an Avi too, but I'll post that later.

Hmm...my favorite FF's would have to be 3/6, 8, 9, and 10 I found that FF7 was lacking...something, beats me, I just didn't like it as much, FF3 was one of the best SNES RPG's out there, and I never played another FF until I got a PS2 last year. I'd have to say Wakka and Squall are two people I most relate to. Wakka seems to dwell on his mistakes, but in some cases is also
naive, and willing to believe what he is told or he wants to believe, like his brother's death, and the Teachings of Yevon.
On the flip side, he also enjoys hanging with friends and is more easygoing around them. Also, he is sort of the glue that holds his team together, and I am like that towards my friends. On the other hand, sometimes I feel a bit of a darker side of my personality, hence my "Squall" side. This is the part where I don't really care about anything and my standard response is "Whatever". I don't communicate well with people sometimes, and seem to have quite a few issues with contact with other people. In any case, I'm more like Squall when I'm bored or feeling argumentative or something.

The Demon brothers, sent by Gato In Outlaw Star, what place does the Outlaw Star come in in the Space Race?
-
Well, I liked FF8 better than FF7, contrary to popular opinion, and it was because of the new things that they added, such as the new method of payment and Junction System. The Junction system won a place in my heart because of the many things you could do with your characters. The possibilities were endless, and that kind of open ended play I haven't seen in most of the other FF games, and I liked it, despite having to update it all the time. The game did get a little too easy, though. Nowadays I just use Irvine's AP Ammo to decimate bosses in a few rounds. Right now, I am at the last leg of the game and I'm only lvl. 25 or something, is that normal? To that end, it was a little easy, and enemy AI's left little to the imagination. In short, yeah, I do agree with the experimental point of view, and maybe it did earn a bad rep for that, but I still like it, and I have the right to my opinion.

Um...here is a piece from a secrets walkthrough on www.gamefaqs.com. Says Hikensasameyuki: "There is absolutely no evidence to indicate that there is a 1/5 chance of correctly choosing an eye. The most popular current theory supports a progressive probability of success based on the number of eyes already correctly chosen, thus increasing the difficulty of winning the 'seven prizes in all, while supplies last.' This would be something like 4/5 for the first two choices, 3/5 for the third and fourth, 2/5 for the fifth and sixth, and finally 1/5 for the final choice." Yeah, so, it gets harder for each correct choice, therefore indicating that there is probably no difference if the urn just wiggles or not. Apparently, you can also kill a magic urn by using Aeon Yojimbo's Zanmato, his final attack. If you want to learn how to do that, check out the site I mentioned. Good luck.

Hmm...I did enjoy both games, but like the majority of people here, I preferred CT over CC (but not by much). CT I liked because of the notion of time travel and the changes in your past affecting the future. However, that was not given as much depth and credit as it should have, in my opinion. In CT, you do stuff like
go to the future by accident and find out it's been destroyed, or go back in time to save Crono by replacing him with a doll,
but I didn't find that they had added much of a story to that. On the other hand, I liked CC because it made the concept of changing the future into more of a story. After playing it, I found that CT did not have much history to it:
you're just a kid caught in some unbelievable circumstance, and you learn about some of your friends being royalty, etc.
However, there really isn't much to know about the characters. In CC, you learn much more about Serge's and Kid's past, as well as who they really are. Also, you learn about some of the events that take place after the CT team finishes their story. (GinnyLyn's comment about the "Nadia's Bell") I didn't think it made the CT group look bad, it just showed that
no matter what you do, wether or you believe it is for the good of humanity, there is always a consequence following your action.
On the other hand, the battle system, the hidden items and weapons, the characters, everything else I prefer in CT rather than CC. The story was CC's strongest point, but everything else goes to CT. Oh, and someone asked if Leah (CC) was related to Ayla (CT). It looks that way, but there is really no concrete evidence to prove that the two are related, they just look very, very similar.

Somewhere deep in the recesses of Hirei's mind, Ken still remained, lying dormant and unable to control his own body. He rested there helplessly, caught in a dark limbo. He looked down with his eyes and saw the strange body that he now inhabited. Hirei had sealed himself under the ice, but his soul roamed free, apparently waiting for this moment. He felt his soul binding closer to that of Hirei, and he began to feel the space around him close slowly. He was worried that he would be unable to get out. However, if he did indeed lose his mind to that of Hirei, he would be glad since it would be for a good cause. He then became vaguely aware of another source of power moving closer to them. He turned and focused his energy, forcing Hirei to turn and look. "Nika!" Ken thought, Hirei began to speak to him. "Of course." He said, communicating with Ken through thought. "She is here to participate, we will overthrow the Master." Ken seemed relieved, but then began to feel dimly aware of a dark power, growing stronger as they walked. Suddenly, Ken saw the Master standing in front of him, but neither Hirei nor David seemed to notice. "Watch..." He said simply, looking at Nika. "Watch...as she turns...to DUST!" He said floating off. Ken screamed, but inside his mind, neither Hirei nor Ken heard him, but Hirei did stop and feel a strange chill go down his spine. "What is it?" David asked Hirei, Hirei shook his head. "Nothing."

Name: Toshiro Matantei Callsign: Loki Age: Three months since activation. Appearance: here Minus the green glow, his clothes are black and his hair is red. Bio: Loki was developed originally as a reploid specifically designed for hard manual labour. It is not evident in his appearance, but his secret is that his body been infused with powerful magnetic materials. Controlled by his brain, his body can alter the magnetic charges moving around him, and therefor be selective about what he attracts or repels. Therefore, his ability to control metal made him a likely candidate for a position in construction or other work. In order to acheive this end, however, he was given an certain level of free will so that he could change employers and work for those who needed him most. This turned out to be a mistake, however, as he slipped away from the testing facility that he had been currently assigned to, using his powers to force open doors that normally could not be opened. Currenly, he lives incognito, and works for no one but himself. His life has led him to become a skilled thief, using his powers to find rare metal ores that he could sell on the black market or even legitimately (sp?). He is currently aware of the war, but due to his freedom, he is uncaring and apathetic, and plans to go somewhere and escape from the pressures of living in a land at war. Personality: Normally very apathetic and easygoing, this attitude has led him in no particular path, and so far has no interest in taking sides during the war. However, he does seem to have a soft spot for women, and treats them only with a little more respect than everyone else. Not to say that he is rude, just doesn't say much. Affiliation: Neutral Primary Weapon: Explosive staff. Normally, it appears that he is not carrying the staff with him, and before his opponent realizes it, the staff materializes out of thin air. This is because of Loki's power to manipulate metal. He is able to summon tiny particles and atoms of metal to come together and float around him. Then, he is able to compress those particles into any way he sees fit. The staff is his first choice, and normally he adds gunpowder or other explosive metals into the head of the staff, and fixes it so that it explodes upon impact. Because of his ability, the staff is able to reconstruct itself from the recycled metal that is still intact when it explodes, as well as any new metals that happen to be in it's vicinity. Secondary weapon: Sword, A traditional blade, Loki sometimes uses this in more heated close-quarter encounters. Using his aforementioned power, the sword is generated seemingly out of thin air. It also has the ability to extend or retract, as well as split into two or transform into several small throwing knives. Defense Ability: Shield, Loki's power obviously has the ability to generate a defensive wall in front of him to block an attack. Additionaly, the wall can be thickened or thinned depending on the force of the attack. However, this skill renders Loki immobilized for a little while, depending on the strength of the attack, leaving him vulnerable to attack from behind.

Oh god, can't anyone take me seriously...? DJ Prof. DM, If you can't take me seriously and add a description and work a little harder on your bio, you're out. I'm giving you the chance to edit. Aside form that, everyone else is in. Also, terra recently PMed me asking about being a demon and starting her own business. Sure terra, you can do that. However, I would like the human characters to be divided equally among the businesses. We have 5 humans (or 4 if DJ Prof. DM is out) I only want 2 humans max in each business. So make your choice carefully. If you can't decide, then I will. Remember demon characters, the reason I had you send me post samples is cause I expect you to work at this. You're the ones who run the businesses. If you want, you can send yourself on missions independently, or you can work with other businesses on assignments. It's up to you. I'll be adding my signup soon, hopefully. EDITED AS OF SEPT. 5 Ok, I have just checked all of the extra info added to people's signups, and I would like to make the following points. First of all, DJ Prof. DM, thanks for changing your signup, you're in. Secondly, terra has decided to work for Yushi No Yami (oh, by the way ULX, that's "Shadow of Hero", you got it backwards.) rather than start her own business, that is fine, and so we can keep the setup as it is. No one has to change businesses. Third, I'm adding my signup below, and will probably start the RP this weekend. Thanks to all who joined, if you have any questions, PM me. Name: Roman Cage Age: 25 Description: Long brown hair tied back in a ponytail, light skin, 6'2", small sunglasses, large brown trenchcoat and gloves, dark pants and boots. Business: Devil May Cry Weapons: metal claws concealed under the wrists of the coat, Z-M Weapons LR-300 series assault rifle, large pipe bombs, "Nightmare Zeta" A large, black rocket launcher-like device which is actually organic and is said to have been crafted in the demon world from the knowledge of a giant weapon like being known as "Nightmare". Devil Trigger: One of Roman's abnormalities is that he usually keeps his right hand tucked into his coat, and when he reveals it, it is mangled and pale, indicating a heavy loss of blood, when he initiates his Devil trigger, the reason for this becomes clear. Roman is a werewolf, or at least the closest description of one, when he goes into Devil Trigger, his muscles bulge and he grows dark black and blue fur all over his body, he gains supereior strength to that of any human being, and is able to jump so high it is practically flight, as well as large claws and fangs which replace his usual weapons. He is unable to use firearms in this state, but he is able to close in on his prey quickly, and either crush them with superior strength in his claws, or bite off large chunks of flesh at a time, eventually resulting in death by anemia, or the servere irreperable damage of a vital organ dealt by the fangs. In any case, Roman is no longer his cool, relaxed self, but rather a bloodthirsty animal who stops at nothing to feed and elimitate his prey as quickly and painfully as possible. The abnormality of this Devil Trigger lies in the fact that Roman has to have suffered servere damage in order to initiate the bloodlust. To that end, he simply bites down on his right hand as hard as possible in order to activate the trigger. Bio: Roman was originally born into a poor European family, but they died shortly after his birth, and he was infected with a strange disease that had claimed the lives of most of the people in his village. However, he was able to grow under less than tolerable living conditions, and was sometimes forced to eat the dead bodies of those he once knew in order to survive. He had managed to leave his village and find another family to adopt him, but shortly afterwards the disease hit, and he nearly died. However, a strange being came to him one night, saying that the village he had come from had died completely, and that his destiny was to rebuild his heritage, he was asked if he would accept the responsibility, he did, and without knowing what had happened, he was knocked out, and woke up the next morning in perfect health. His new family took him to America, where he lived happily and was properly schooled, until one day, he was involved in a construction accident while walking back from school, and was impaled by a steel beam. However, he got up, blood dripping from his chest, and, without knowing what he was doing, bit into his friend's neck. Both parties survived, but Roman ran away from home, wondering what his existence really meant. Many years later, he continued to wander the streets around the country, and found a way to control his abilities. He began to understand the nature of his heritage, and also understood that the demon world was to blame for the death of his village. Now, he searches for a way to get closer to the demon world, and that is how he found Devil May Cry, and it's proprietor, Dante... Ok, see you all on the weekend! If I have anything more to say I will either add it here, or PM you.

>OPERATION CODE: PROVIDENCE CLIENT: SAFT FORCES >MISSION TIME: 13:26:20 >SECURITY LEVEL: 5 >ESTIMATED SUCESS RATE: 90% >RECCOMENDED RAVEN RANK: E "Ok, team, this is it." Neelo's voice came through the AC comm. "This operation is simple, destroy all MT units in your immediate vicinity, then fight each other. If you can complete the fist part of this mission, you will become an official AC pilot for Saft Forces. If you fail, you die." Teo looked at the terrain ahead, it was a bleak desert, and therefore gave way to a massive firefight. He looked as the MT units began to pile up in front of them. Teo smiled, and Neelo's voice crackled through the system again. "The second match against your partner will decide your rank, I will personally assign you a rank depending on your skill. Zack, your partner for this mission is Crystal." Teo grimaced, no way was he looking forward to fighting her, he could imagine her next to him in her AC, seeing red. Neelo continued. "This mission is paramount in importance, based on how many of you I expect to move forward. Don't let me down." Teo looked ahead, zooming in using the AC's camera. He could see the enemy units already kicking up a huge dust cloud moving in their direction. Suddenly Neelo shouted through the comm. "All right teams! Move out!" Whatever and Sarraia dashed through the sand, kicking up even more dust than the MT's ahead of them. Suddenly Sarraia kicked into Overboost and blasted off with the force of a rocket, leaving Whatever behind. "No fair!" Teo shouted to no one, then he turned on his Exceed Orbit function, causing the two laser cannons attached to his core to detach themselves and fire independently at the targets. He was pleased to see that he had already hit his mark, not so pleased that he was already running short on power. "Aw, man!" He complained, turning off EO and dashing forward in short boosts to conserve his power. He switched to his grenade launcher and fired two shots straight ahead. One of them took out two MT's, the other hit Sarraia! "Hey!" Crystal's voice complained through the comm, Teo laughed, but Sarraia spun around and shot him with her shotgun! "Ow! Quit it!" Whatever and Sarraia quickly abandoned the task at hand and moved straight to the next phase, even with the remaining MT's trying to take them both out! Sarraia launched her missiled sky high, and Whatever dashed backwards to avoid them, he unlocked his chain gun and emptied a few rounds into Sarraia's four legs. She retaliated by dashing in close for a blade strike, but he shot her with his howitzer, causing her to stop due to impact shock. Neelo's voice crackled through the comm. "What are you doing?! Stop acting like idiots and finish the job!" "Sorry." Crystal and Teo both said, and returned to the task of finishing the MT's, their feud could certainly wait until later...

"It's a plan...just...it may take me some time to control..." Reena said, with a hint of nervousness in her voice. Rann nodded and turned around. Reena walked into an adjacent woods and removed the choker around her neck that prevented her form turning into a full dragon. She truned and looked at the grroup still on the path, she felt ready to try it, but she was still a little worried. She focused deeeply, trying to summon the dragon inside of her... Reena had now returned to the emptiness inside her mind, where her human side could communicate with her dragon side. I don't want to kill, lend me your power so that I may help those who need me... I want to live, I want to help my friends, I want us to all get through this...I want you to help me achieve that... A blast of fire came from out of nowhere, Reena recoled and returned to her focus... I'm asking you please...just this once... Another fireball come roaring in her direction, she took it head on, but then started to get angry. My friend is not going to die just becausee of you, you will help me, I don't care about your power, I will have it. Another fireball flared at her, she deflected it with her arm and walked up close to the dragon, she placed her hand on it's head, and she felt the two start to come together... Now, you are in control of your body, but you will not hurt my friends, do you understand? The dragon grunted softly, and Reena smiled, the merging was complete... Reena...no longer Reena...the fully grown dragon crashed out of the brush and reared itself to it's full immesurable height, the group stared in a combination of horror and amazement. It cam down and brought it's head to the ground, looking each and every one of them in the eye. Roya transformed into a cat and looked at the dragon, then walked forward and jumped onto the back of it's head. Tani came next, and Phaedra looked on in admiration, climbing on more slowly than the rest. Reena was able to speak to Rann for a moment. Well? Is this all right?

Uh...I haven't stolen anything, but recently, a friend of mine moved to another province, taking with him two PS2 games that belong to me and my friend that we lent him over the school year. However, I still have three of his games and one memory card, so I got my revenge...in a way  Oh, and sometimes I borrow stuff from friends and don't return for a long time. I've had my friend's Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for almost a year now, but he doesn't seem to care. Whenever he comes over to pick it up, he stays for a few hours and then forgets it when he leaves. His loss.

At lunch, Glenn was already outside, having denied himself of any food. He looked around and picked a spot on the jungle gym to sit cross legged and start meditating. He was soon interrupted by a voice. "Hey Reid!" Glenn opened one eye and looked down, it was the fat kid from science class, plus two others. "What'cha doin?" He asked mockingly. Glenn closed his eyes again and ignored his completely. With a pudgy arm, he reached up and grabbed Glenn by the collar. Then pulled him down and held him to the ground. "Come on, I know you got money since you didn't buy lunch." He said, raising up a fist while the other two laughed. Glenn just stared at him. "I don't have money, It's unimportant." He said simply, the others laughed even harder. The fat kid held Glenn up and pressed him threateningly against the bars of the jungle gym. "Last chance! Give it up!" He yelled, Glenn just smiled. "Last chance for what?" The kid reared back his arm and threw a punch right at his face... With seemingly superhuman agility, Glenn craned his head out of the way and the boy slammed his fist full force into the iron jungle gym. Howling loudly and cluthcing his fist, he dropped to the ground, cursing. The other two looked at Glenn in amazement. He just smiled back. "I think you should leave, you're about to get hurt." He said simply. one of the boys threw a punch, which Glenn blocked and responded by making a quick punch to the side, near the kidney. The boy cringed and fell over, winded. The other threw a punch at Glenn's face, but he ducked, then bent backwards to dodge the second punch. Doing a quick backflip. Glenn moved back quickly and tried to kick the boy, but he moved back and Glenn's foot hit the iron gym and stayed there. There was a pause, during which the other boy started to laugh, but Glenn quickly snapped his leg up and brought his hell down on the boy's head, knocking him silly. By then, the fat boy had gotten up again, and grabbed Glenn, but he responded by taking the boy by the arm. and running staright up the side of the jungle gym. Still holding the mesmerized boy's hand, he spread his legs wide and spun around a few times like a helicopter, before moving down and hitting the ground. The energy that he had already gained while spinning worked with him as he flipped the boy with one hand, causing him to spin several times in the air before hitting the ground, completely dazed. Glenn took the opportunity to leave quietly, while the other boys tried to recompose themselves. Glenn was now far away from his school, having taken a long walk to the local hydro dam. He climbed with ease over the chain link fence and ran along the tom pf the dam, where normally no one was allowed. He ran along the top and eventually settled at the other end. Reaching out an arm, he grabbed the root of a large tree that was growing on the cliff face just to his side. He reached over and pulled himself up, and over the edge of the dam. Dangling by one arm hundreds of feet from the ground. He swung himself over and sat down in the thick, soft needles of an evergreen which was growing along the side of the cliff. It suppported his weight easily, and he reclined in it's branches and looked at the scenery of the town below. Motimon climbed out from under his jacket, and lay on top of his head. "Wow!" He exclaimed, looking at the town, it was definetely an amazing sight. "You come here all the time?" He asked of Glenn, who would have nodded if not for the danger of Motimon falling off. "Yep, it's my place." He said as he looked down at the scenery, the sky, the clouds. He didn't have to be back at school for a little while, so he sat back and enjoyed the sight and the air...

Reena looked at the ground the whole walk. She wasn't looking up, and since no one seemed to be talking at the moment, she found nothing to say. Pheadra began to walk more slowly, and so she eased up closer to the dragon girl. "Is something wrong?" She asked sympathetically. Reena began to walk more slowly so no one would her them. "I heard you talking to Rann, about being the feeling of being the last of your kind..." Phaedra nodded, Reena continued. "It's not that that makes me so scared, it's that I'm never in control when I start to transform. see myself start to change, in body and in soul. I feel that although I have the same emotions, my actions are completely different. It's like being trapped in a cage, you scream and cry and almost no one hears you, and those who do, don't care." Reena continued to stare at the ground and walk even more slowly. "I don't want to kill anyone, you know that, but when it happens, it's the most horrible feeling you can think of." Reena looked up, her eyes seemed glazed over. Phaedra looked at her, and then Reena asked a question in return. "You...you don't seem to mind having to do this. What is it that gives you control, how is it that you can keep those feelings inside?"
