yay 0 on last one...tells people how many unique comedies I watch rather than the popular ones. :p sadly those 143 people need to watch some proper comedy since Naruto was on that list

Hitsuzen Your banner and Avatar tell me that you like xxxHOLiC. Your custom title is the basic idea of what Yuuko says on a few occasions through the series/manga but changed to suit you. As for your sig, rolling stone, possibly something meaningful about life but knowing me I'm reading too deeply into it.

Just watched ep 11. So soon after having seen ep 10 may seem a bit odd but it did happen. :P Firstly however to remark on a point I made regarding ep 10. I rewatched it and when
Portia and the other person exit the convent one of them is carrying a suitcase, however it's difficult to tell which one has it. I think it might be the other person though.
Anyway on to ep 11. The calm before the storm would be the perfect way of describing this ep. however
I still want to know what happened to Curio and Francisco after the fight at the end of ep 9
. This ep would have to be the first where Juliet could be herself as a girl in my opinion. rather then being caught up what others expected her to be
i.e. posing as a boy or the heir to the Capulet family, etc
.
The fight scene was nice, giving a very different approach to Romeo. Last 2 eps seem to be building him up as someone who acts when they have to rather then the wimp he seemed at first. But I must say I wasn't expecting him to release Cielo, that was a suprise, however I guess it would have changed the ep if he hadn't
:P The
wedding
was a nice touch. And the light comedic elements were great, fitting in nicely with the flow of the rest of the ep. However I think my own romantic side is still in overdrive after ep 10. This ep just couldn't beat
the balcony sequence
for me. Again in response to one of your questions Dagger....
I've checked the montage scroll at the beginning 3 times now and haven't seen the guy with the pipe. However there has to be some reasoning behind them showing him. Maybe he'll appear again later.
Edit: the Japanese DVD box for volume 1 looks beautiful. Went to look at the RxJ website and stumbled across the link for it. click here

Albedo from Xenosaga. Psychotic obsession with robotic dolls. Just seems funny but when that state is taken to the next level he is so great as a villain. In ep 2 where they explain his past it is great watching him fall into the psychotic state. Being able to regenerate is just a bonus. Kefka from Final fantasy VI. Probably, in my mind, just as psychotic as Albedo but he rose from a lowly minnion to take out the emperor of his country and then become dictator of the whole world. Roger Bacon (an alias) from Shadow Hearts. Wants to summon a god so as to destroy and recreate the world. The fact that this guy was originally
a cardinal of the church
just makes him a lot more intricate.

omg omg omg. Just saw ep 10 (yes late for me) and I must say I absolutely loved the ending.
The balcony scene was just brilliant. so romantic.
I fell in love with this series all over again.
I'd never realised Romeo's mother was Portia until this ep...lol. It's just that I can't read Japanese so those character profiles gave nothing away to me reagarding character names
. Though the coincidences were extraordinary. of course they're not really coincidences since it's a planned out story, but in a context they seem to be. In answer to what you though Dagger
I didn't see Portia with a suitcase, though no reason is given for her exiting the Convent
. i do like however how they showed
the sketchy side of Neo verona. And what the nobles get up to.
Also they seemed to contrast
the Duke with himself in this ep. I mean on one angle he seemed to be pleased to see Romeo's proposal being rejected. Just showed how far his power has reached, but at the same time How no one wants to show even the slightest bit of mercy for the Capulets with Montague around. But then when Romeo goes to see his mother the Duke almost seems as if he wants to hold on to at least his son after having lost his wife.
I could be wrong though. Hopefully I'll see ep 11 soon.

I've actually been going through a similar thing myself recently. In fact I actually went ahead and asked the friend out and lucky that she said yes. We haven't gone out yet but we will be soon. Thing is that it's kinda awkward for both of us right now as neither of us have actually been in a relationship, but hopefully it will get easier. For us it's something completely new and foreign. All I can say is go for it. If you don't you'll probably end up regretting it. Not for ever of course but the time being. I'm actually quite a shy person myself and have always had trouble asking girls out, but always regretted at least for a little those i didn't. But then again I originally held it in my head that I'd never ask one of my friends out because of what James said.
Also don't forget one important rule - if you develop a romance with a friend, you face one greast risk: if the romance ends (for whatever reason) it can be very hard or impossible to salvage that original friendship.
However I've heard from a few friends of times when they broke up with friends that they'd asked out, that it had usually been a mutual thing and so they were able to keep that friendship. Both parties knew that on a romantic level it wasn't working out but decided to remain as friends. But I guess it's a case to case situation. In the words of a friend "the worst they can say is no". And if she truly is a friend that should be the worst. if you ask her out and she says no, it shouldn't really put a strain on your friendship, but if it does hopefully things will right themselves with time. I hope that helps, I'm not usually good with giving advice.

mine would be listening to Visual Kei bands such as Dollis Marry, ViDoll and An Cafe. I also love watching their video clips, and occasionally sing along (or at least attempt to) with the songs I've picked up from listening to about a dozen or so times.

I have to say that the first dew arcs of the anime were great for me. By the time we got to the world championship (and I only watched to the end of that arc) It was getting to be very repetitive. I do have to say that the one thing I kept watching for were the reactions. They were absolutely hilarious.
1) It sad to think that the really funny comedies that should be know are probably not. Because I can think of several very very hilarious comedy anime that most likely wouldn't get picked since they aren't popular enough. =P
I know what you mean. I put in Hayate No Gotoku! but it's a verty new anime so high chances are it won't be in there. Others I wanted to include were Genshiken, Welcome to the NHK, Futakoi Alternative, but most would be relative unknown. I myself would be deeply saddened if naruto is on the list as I follow the series very closely and in no way find it comic enough to be even considered comedy. It has a few funny moments but nothing extraodinary.
2. Excel Saga 4. Naruto
bah forgot Excel Saga. However if naruto is on that final list I'll claim that people need to watch more and better comedies.

1. School Rumble 2. Trigun 3. Hayate no Gotoku! 4. Full metal Panic? Fumoffu 5. Yakitate!! Japan I have something like 3 or 4 others that I feel would be appropriate in there But they might not be so well known. Hayate is the same. Being a very recent anime is probably not that well known either:S

I would have to say Archer. Mainly because he is such a shady character. However I have to say if you have such an interest regarding Fate/stay check out information on the game. You don't need to play the game but which heroes/villains each of the servants are is really interesting. Once finding out who Archer was I went back and watched the first 14 eps and picked up the subtle hints that revealed who he really is. His story is really quite interesting as well.

I've played Guilty gear X2 #reload. Currently waiting for the DS game to get released here. I have to say favourite character is Chipp Zanuff, fast character making it easy to break other characters combo's as well as to counterattack. He's probably the main character I use for competitive play. However for fun I usually use Faust because i love pulling off his one hit KO. That has to have one of the best animations out of any 1 hit KO I've ever seen. First time I pulled it off I couldn't stop laughing.

Kyon from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Character 1. is an Otaku 2. becomes president of a club. 3. tries to last a comicon with a broken hand Mii based on anime version of the character

World of warcraft had separate European and Asian servers. Only Pacific (Australia, New Zealand and a few other places) and the US were grouped together. From what I've been reading this is the same for Lord of the Rings Online.

meh been about 2 years since I took part in an RPG that interested me. Writing a few profiles helps get it back in the system.

Name: Zao Kirei (same as Engle, surname first) Nickname: "The Blue Wind" Age: 27 Gender: Male Country of Origin: Tsuchi, The Eastern Kingdom Profession: Warrior/Bodyguard/ ex-blacksmith Appearance: see attachments. Black hair instead of Blue. Weapons/skills: Katana. In 1v1 battles he will usually take his time reading his opponents movements, before attacking. However in full out warfare he becomes something quite different, where he has to be aware of every combatant around him, and spending too much time against one opponent gives another a chance to attack from behind. The Legend of Zao Kirei: Kirei stood facing his opponent. yet to draw his sword he observed his opponents stance, playing out the possible battle within his mind. This was the type of thing he'd trained himself for. Remember back, Kirei thought of the 16 year old boy who had wanted to be more then just a common blacksmith. At night he took what his father had taught him and began tempering a katana. However, Kirei's father had never told him what dimensions should be used for forging a katana, so when the sword was finished it was about a foot longer then a regular katana. This was an advantage to him in one on one combat, but on a crowded battle field he would discover that it wouldn't be so great. Upon leaving home just before his 17th birthday, he joined the Tsuchi army, knowing it to be the fastest way to escape the peasant life. He had endured the harsh military training, that soon became part of his everyday life. He was soon pushing himself harder and further, knowing the only way to reach nobility status was to excelt and become a part of the elite. In combat he had been a nuisance with his long sword on a number of occasions, but as time passed and his skill improved he slowly became a great asset on the battlefield. At the age of 26 it looked like his goal may be attainable, yet he had still not progressed far enough. Two months before he had been recommended by his superiors for the Emperor's bodyguard and been accepted. This was still not enough, as he was yet to accomplish a feat grand enough to warrant nobility status. Since joining the bodyguard these challenges had become a regular occurrence. Those who wished to become part of the small group bydefeating a member would often appear. And he being the newest recruit was often challenged. He slowly drew his katana from its sheath. The only thing he had ever crafted in his previous life. He began to take his stance ready for the duel. It would have appeared to an outsider as if the slow movements were Kirei taunting his opponent, but they were all deliberately made by Kirei, part of his battle preparation. His opponent charged him, but the stroke was easily deflected. His opponent turn and made more strokes at Kirei, but these too were easily deflected. Kirei kept his cool, reading his opponents movements waiting for the right moment to strike. There was always something mystical about Kirei's fights, something fluent about his preparation and movements. It was if he moved as gracefully as the wind. The opening was there. Kirei changed his movement as quickly as a changing breeze, using the base of his katana to disarm his opponent before knocking him down with his body. When the opponent raised his head Kirei's sword was pointed at his throat. "You have lost," Kirei stated re-sheathing his sword. "If I have lost then why have you not killed him?" His opponent questioned. "It is better to have lost and lived, so one may fight another day rather then lost and died, leaving all behind," Kirei answered as he walked towards the barracks. ((been a while since I've done a RPG))
On that note, I'm super super excited for the (clean) anime adaptation of ef ~ a fairy tale of the two. Preview screencaps here. You can also see the game's stunning and totally family-friendly animated sequence (done by Makoto Shinkai!!) here, although doubtless any TV series will be unable live up to Shinkai's quality.
That preview looks quite good. I might have to check the anime of that out once it gets released. I mean of the adaptations from hentai to clean I've seen I loved Fate/Stay and Kiminozo, wasn't such a fan of Utawarerumono (damn long name). As for actual hentai i think if you want a really good laugh you can't go past
Sex Demon Queen
. That show was one of the funniest things I've seen because it sent up a lot of fantasy shows but also because it was so bad.

hmmm this is a tough one. how would you define good and popular for that matter?? :P Cause that's influencing a few of my choices 1. Roy Mustang (FMA) 2. Haruhi Suzumiya (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) 3. Yagami Light (Death Note) 4. Nicholas D. Wolfwood (Trigun) 5. Kyoya Ootori (Ouran Host club) 6. Aizen Sosuke (Bleach)

Lol, Ikillion, those pictures are great :P I have to say that this thread is a lot more civilized then the suggestion one. Anywho I'm in an anime club that use to have an annual hentai night where we'd watch the stuff for a laugh. I mean that stuff is so bad it hilarious. it kinda got scrapped due to lack of interest but meh. As to nonentity's comment with the face etc. You've been watching/reading Genshiken haven't you :P @James Just wait till people start posting pics of DVD covers and such. Might change then. :P
Many superb clean anime are based on ero-games
Hmm...Fate/Stay Night, Utawarerumono, Kiminozo, Tsukihime - Lunar legend...they're the series that i can think of off the top of my head that were originally ero-games but were adapted as clean anime. Seen all but Tsukihime. reading through and addressing points 1 at a time :p Addictions really can be anything. I'm currently kicking my World of Warcraft addiction cold turkey. Bloody hard thing to do after being addicted to it. I think the one thing keeping me sane regarding that is knowing I need the money to spend time with my girlfriend rather then spending $20Aus a month to play that. (at least that's the reason I give myself. But if you can get addicted to videogames you can definitely get addicted to porn/hentai. oh did I mention I have an addictive personality :S Final fantasy is first series I got addicted to and still can't kick that. have to finish every game like a dozen times over :P

Seriously why would we need a Hentai board here? if you want hentai go somewhere else. I mean there is thousands of free sites you can go to to look at it if you're really that desperate. It's not that hard to open a second window so you can look at your hentai while also looking at OB. I mean how hard is it to switch windows. I'm not against Hentai myself (I'll even admit to having viewed it once or twice) but there are some places where it's acceptable and some places that are not. OB is one imo where it is not. And setting up and running a passworded forum is not as easy as it may sound. I know I've set up/run forums before. To avoid having to give out the password to every single person that wants to enter is time consuming as you need to check up everyone's age. Even then to avoid having to give out passwords and all you can set up a user group for that thread but even that is time consuming as you still need to check everyone's age who requests. But you still don't know who has signed up using an older age. I know I did once or twice when i was younger. As a third point every country has different age limits for viewing porn/hentai as well. some countries it's 21, some it's 18, some it's i don't even know. Then it's a matter of working out whether you'd set the age as a consistent bracket, like say 21 for everyone no matter where you are from. ratings also change from Country to country. I know US has a X rating where as where I'm from R18+ is the highest rating. Oh I also say it's pointless requesting because even if it does happen and and it gets locked down with a p'word or a user group "as refusal/rejection may offend."

just saw ep 9. I have to say that I can't stop laughing at Conrad as he gets teary eyed every time Juliet commits herself to the cause. Though it did feel slower then last week the ep still revealed a lot of important stuff. hmm
Ophelia, Montague's gardener,and Escalus' nurturer...wonder if she'll drown herself
:P Curio really makes things interesting though I still suspect that he knows more then he is letting on, especially when they keep cutting to him at important times. though Curio
with a battleaxe seemed cool though I preferred him in ep 2 with the daggers.
Francisco made the right choice though.
Going to Tybalt was the right thing and I could see the nobleman betraying them straight away.
I'd also agree with you Dagger. Conrad is a horrible mentor for Juliet.
I mean he let his need for revenge get the most of him and wanted to jump straight into action before sussing things out was stupid. And it rubbed onto Juliet, though her prerogatives were more into not having to hurt Romeo. Oh and Juliet finally has some blood on her hands.
As for ep 10 really no idea what's gonna happen there from the preview. maybe we will find out more about Tybalt. Edit: No ep run down this week Dagger?
It doesn't seem like Virgil is in it at all. But there is the annoying Patty. We will just have to see. By the way, just saw the trailer. So sweet indeed.! I cannot wait.
You'll probably have to wait and see regarding that. If I remember correctly Virgil was actually the Dark Knight boss in the first game.

There are actually a few extra characters in DMC anime that were added for the show. Haven't seen the ep but just from the trailer I could tell. But then again the game DMC only had 4 speaking characters (if you include the giant spider) and that would make for a somewhat boring anime.
