It's too short for me first off. It just doesn't work well, it seems cut off. Like a piece of paper torn at the center leaving just a spattering and faded few strokes of pencil. The rhythm could also be better, as VR said. It just doesn't flow. It starts off pretty well, but from there it just fades and fades into blackness as you trail and trail farther and farther from what I believe you more wanted to mean. Basically, I think this poem needs more focus. You need to make it less jumbled. When I was reading it I kind of had to go back to some other lines before the line I was reading to understand the full intention of where you were going from. Jumbledness can work in some poems, but I don't think you pulled it off here. From the get-go it was sort of meandering and near the end I sort of lost your voice as to what you meant. So I'm saying more focus, more rhythm, and better and more soft or hard words depending on how you want this poem to be atmospherically. Otherwise, this isn't that bad. It just could be improved.

I've never listened to them, and I doubt I ever will. I might go and download a song or two, see how they sound, but that'll be it for me. I'm not into this heavy heavy metal stuff anymore. I'm more into the classical rock bands of the 80's and 70's. But I'm all ears, and I'll give them a shot once I get to it, I suppose. But I do doubt I'll like them.

The beginning of this movie was rather off I found. I don't mean the very beginning--the back story--I mean when he met Elektra. That part just seemed very off and it just didn't fit the entire other atmosphere of the movie. CWB, I know exactly what you mean. That was a very awkward part of it for me, too. That's what I mean by the beginning was rather just so unrealistic. Fighting over a name, and to top it off in a schoolyard? Right. And then the whole thing of Elektra and him falling in love so quickly and all, I didn't like that either. They went too deep into that which made it feel again, awkward. But I found as the movie went on, it got so much better. This movie was somewhat like poetry to my eyes. I absolutely loved the irony and pure interviening story arcs and backs. It was wonderfully done in that aspect. I just loved this movie near the end. It was very powerful to me then. So all-in-all, this movie's a little rough around the edges for me. But once you overlook that, this was a very powerful movie. At least to me.

Forget the death penalty; Let's bring back experiments on humans
Mitch replied to Harry's topic in General Discussion
Yes, good for you. I HIGHLY doubt you will be able to do such a thing. This thread is utterly pointless accusations and unnerving opinions of yours again. Heck, I see not one reason to keep it open. Harry, as I said, you really need to stop making threads so quickly. This is your second one in a matter of a day. Especially threads that are as pointless as this. All this thread is is another pointlessly imbued argument. Again, most people will repel your opinion strongly. So just for the best of you I yet again am going to close another of your threads. Please, people don't want to talk about pointless things and how little Harry here is going to begin "Experimenting on Humans" When I see your name in Science & Health magazine, then I'll believe the words you said in this thread. And only then. [Edit]Jamesy beat me[/Edit] -
Although as sick and dire as this situation you have presented is, I believe there's nothing wrong with canibalism under duress or need. I mean, we humans are just animals. It's only our brains that make us so different. So pretty much, it's just like eating maybe say...hamburger. Or almost any kind of meat...raw I'm saying in this situation? The survived survive, the weak fear and die. But can you imagine taking your lips and touching the skin of a dead friend. Can you imagine even touching and tasting the raw sinews and nerve endings, the rough muscle and organic tissue. I sure can't. It's stoo gruesome of a sight to me. A very gruesome sight. So really, I need to be true with myself. I couldn't even stomach let alone even get myself to lay one tooth bite on a friend, nor any human being. But in the situation you presented, I don't see at as wrong. It's surviving. But if you did make it out of there, then you would get consequences for your actions, no matter if it was under duress or not.

Cloricus, here's a sucker, suck on it for awhile. Harlequin, here's a book, read it for awhile. Now lookey here, you're all happy and away from eachother. Count on Mitch to break up the fights. ;) Deus Ex Machina as a man onced named [strike]Deus[/strike] Ben said. God comes from the machine. The machine who you ask? The machine may be us, or whatever you see so. Just drop me a rain check so I can give it to Deus, Ben I think his name is...bleh. Deus Ben, what's the difference? The way I see technology is as the downfall of the human race. It may be very far off, but when you think about how far technology is going to take us, sometime or another it has to take us back, too. That's why the came up with the movie Back To The Future, heh. All technology is going to do is aid and complexion all of the things that happen here on the Earth naturally. Technology I see as the end and the beginning of the human race as it stands. Somewhere far into the future overhead there dangles something of a thread like this. Somewhere far off there dangles our own destruction. But no one cares, our lives our now. We'll all be dead before we see our deaths. So my points no one will even adhere to anyways. Well, most.

Pretty dang good. This is one of your first works I've read. The only things I noticed were a few grammatical errors which don't really change anything, and also, you were a tiny bit too descriptive in parts. With a story, you want to keep it rolling and rolling. You want the tension to build up and keep going up as long as you can. The description kind of weighted it down a bit, making it in some points, boring. Basically what I'm saying is you need to find a happy medium when it comes to decription. Not too much, not too little. You didn't overbear it certainly in this story with meticulous descriptioon, but in some points it did. Especially when you were describing the library. I somewhat just wanted to skip ahead from that part. This is mainly because the look and things of the library really aren't all that important to the story. You devoted almost an entire paragraph to the description of it. With a story you want to grab the reader's attention and hold it there in an iron grip. You want to constantly have action, something going on. So I do see where a little bit of description of the libray would be necessary, but I think what you had was a little too much. Just tell very broadly what the library looks like, not down to how the books stack and other things. That doesn't matter to the story at all. I don't know, I might be overanalyzing this a bit. But I as a reader of this story found I lost interest and somewhat wanted to stop reading at those descriptive parts. But it isn't that bad, I just found that I wanted to story to go on. And it did. So, that's what I got mostly from it. Otherwise your writing is pretty varied and interesting and I'm up to seeing more of it so I can see and grow more of an understanding and liking of it.

Well, if you want a very good classic RPG game, I'd go right for Chrono Trigger. It's not that hard to find, just purchase Final Fantasy Chronicles. The loading times aren't that annoying, as Smemj always rants and raves about. Yeah, Chrono Trigger is a pretty easy RPG to get into. It's also pretty linear if you're looking for that approach. The graphics're not amazing, I mean it was only a Super Nintendo game. But as Crazy White Boy said, once you get past the graphics (Which in my mind don't even make a game period) then you're left with something great, or not so great. Basically, if you're looking to start off into RPGs, you want one that's good. Choose something that many people say is something that you would like. But to tell you the truth, I'm not really sure what games to exactly recommend. Some have said Final Fantasy 7, and I do somewhat agree. It's a very deep game and easy to get into. But I'm all about the classic games, so I say Chrono Trigger. Great game if there ever was. Just choose a game that you know you'll like so you can begin to grow and understand what kind of field of game you're playing. Try something you'll have a good time with.

Damn you really need a life. You really, really, really need one. Ah well, she is a hottie, I do admit...oh, she's just got that innocent school girl look...and oh...oh...oh... ...Ah well, tattoos monkeys, too. It's...rather subtle, but I'll give you the innovative cunning you've got, so, looks...good, I suppose.

I don't hate 80's music at all. In fact, most of what I know listen to is 80's music. Queen, Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, The Cars, The Police, Rush, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers...the list goes on and on. I don't think it is really healthy exactly to hate 80's music. Most of it I believe is much better than most of the music we've got here today. But there's people out there that do hate it, and good for them. They're just missing out. So let them.

I would risk happiness now. I can't stand sitting around pointlessly firstly, and secondly, death comes eventually: so what does it matter in the wheelchair? So what brought this on, wrist cutter? [Wonders vaguely if something like it happend to him...]...but yeah, there's a whole world out there. I'm not going to waste three years in reclusiveness and boredom waiting for life and watching it all fly around on me. I'm just not like that period. Life is now, and I want it like that.

Very nice. You never cease to amaze me with your erratic and fresh styles. The orange works well, and I love that pear, as Deus said. Hmm..and that strange antenna thingie...makes it wackier. It's also very cute, I'd have to say. Good job yet again.

Harry, this is yet another somewhat pointless thread. We as humankind haven't even begun to understand the great depths and reaches of space, so how in the hell would you know if the universe is infinite or finite? How the hell are you even one to make such a claim, I mean, there's far more scientests and such that know more about the universe than you'll ever understand. So basically, what you're saying is another illogical reason. How do you know the universe has a barrier? You don't, there's that reasoning of why the universe is infinite or finite out the door. And who the hell says there's even a barrier or if there's not if the universe is finite? Exactly my point, all of this is pure throws and stabs at what you could think up in your brain. Now, I am really really really getting sick of this threads. This one's content I do admit is a little better, but all this is is speculation in this thread. Pure and utter whole speculation. But there is some merit in it, so I will allow it to remain open. But when you start a thread, please do not say something is this or that. All that is is going to cause multiple people to go against you, thus causing pointless argument. Get my drift? When you start a thread instead rather ask the question, then say what you do or do not believe. That way the two things are seperated and our fellow members can piece and put in place what they believe. Your reasoning is always very illogical and uneducted it seems. But you deserve your opinions, as I said. Don't worry, I'm not mad at you. I'm just getting tired of these opinionated opinions that you just throw at us in every single thread. If you want to get banned, you're certainly on the way. Now, enough of my bickering. I'll tell you my guess at how I see the universe. I see it as finite. There has to be an end, no matter how long. Everything ends, and I stand by that notion. This thread holds much more merit, I'm just mainly saying your opinions are rather unbacked. Most of what I said was for earlier reasons so I may have gone farther than this thread is. Don't take offense by my ways, I'm just getting sick of these controversial threads. :)
