OOC: I'm a late arrival everyone...Hope we have fun....HOLLA!

Everyone was stading in the debriefing room when she arrived. Lookig cool, calm and collected she stood in the background hearing some of the people introduc themselves. She saw many of the people and noted Satell's face. This would be one she was working with and thought it necessary to meet her coworkers, especially the medical ones.

As she continued to look around Allen noticed her face.

"Good of you to finally show up lil' lady..."

Everyone turned to her and a small note of embarrasment enter her. She held her head down briefly before donning a smile.

"Well Captain, Im sure you'll excuse me for this minor lapse in time, I was just checking out the medical quarters, making sure everything was in order."

"Well good to see you're on task for something," Allen replied a bit codly," Well then go ahaed and introduce yourself."

"No problem at all," she cleared her voice a bit," Well hello, she started slowly. The name's Trini Angelos, and I'm the medical assistant. Its a pleasure to meet you all, and I'm sure it'll be a pleasure to work with all of you."

She stepped back from the intro and allowed the next person to go on. Before moving around, she made sure to speak with Satell, the doctor at this point couldn't be found, and so she knew Satell would be the next best person to help.

Leaning on her chair Haven found herself sizing up each member of the team. She was in the process of figuring out Tex when another female bumbled in. She snorted, she hated when people were unattractively late.

She'd been in the shower when the pad on her wall had beeped.
Her wet hair hung limply against her shoulders.
Introductions had been going around and her turn would be after the bumbler composed herself.

Angelos, nice name and incompetent face, typical medic.
She turned her attention to Hope, Vincent Hope.
Security seemed a bit more interesting with this man.

--------------silence---------------

They were looking at her.

-------------an upward glance---------

"Haven, Brooke Haven, Terrain Consultant and Scientist. I plan out areas for missions and try to predict the unpredictable. I kill people for pleasure, and thats about it"

Hope slowly turned his head at this obvious jab and snickered.

"Would you mind getting up, Haven?',Captain Chibbs.

Jerking her head, Haven kicked her legs off the table and stood.
Trying to convey a sense of nonchalance and superiority, Haven glared at the Captain.

"Nice to meet you Haven, Angelos began, I'm sure we-

"The pleasures all mine, Medic." Came Haven's curt reply.
She often had a habit of addressing people people by their ranks and designations.

"What do you say we get started Captain?,Haven quipped.

"When the full team is assembled we will", snapped the Captain.

"And Haven", he continued.

Haven looked up in his direction.

"You're not my secretary."

Sam watched the exchange between the Captain and Ms. Haven. He was watching too closely and forgot it was his turn to introduce himself until someone threw a spork at him.

He jumped up immediately and started introducing himself in a perfect parody of a commercial pilot. "Good evening Ladies and Gents, I'm Captain..."Chubb shot him a mean glance,"Pilot Sam Tiller. We are currently cruising at about, hell I don't know, a really fast speed toward a distressed ship. After our meeting I will be allowing all the little kiddies on this flight, that's you all, up to the cockpit to let you grab a hold of the wheel and drive this hunk of metal for a little bit. Of course I will be right behind you with a remote steering mechanism which will override all of your driving commands..."

"Sam, sit down and stop being a wise-ass," the Captain half yelled at him.

"Yes sir, Captian Chubby sir!" Sam gave a salute, mocking the Captain.

"By not being a wise-ass I mean no talking at all." The Captain gestured for the next crew-member to introduce their-self as more snickering spread across the room.

Satell watched them through heavily lidded eyes. Instead of giving them rapt attention, which only a select few deserved, she was instead buffing her nails with her file. Her assistant looked bright enough. It was a minor plus. Given the apalling conditions, it looked like she was about to gain a great deal more experience...

Trini Angelos. She hoped her name didn't reflect anything about her character. Otherwise sparks were sure to fly as soon as they were locked together in the sickbay.

Without a bat of her eyelids, she flicked the dust from her nails onto the table top and brushed it onto the floor. Her white coat flared around her body with the swift movement, then settled back again. This was quite a day....

Ruben was kind of drifting, paying fuck all attention to the people.

I mean, if he really gave a shit about who they were, he'd just look at their name-tag. All he had to do was keep them from scratching out each others eyes in an argument about atomic properties. What a boring mission.

However, some of the people seemed a bit nervous about it. Maybe it was just their first time in space.

However, that Comunications chick sitting at the table was a fine piece. I mean, just sitting there, doing her nails at the introduction, Jesus. Then he grinned... she was the one who had come out of the room with Chubbs.

The lucky bastard. He sighed enviously, still grinning.

Tex sat in her chair, her knees to her chest. She observed everyone around her and jotted down a few little notes, a habit she has from being a detective.

Ruben was a character, he actually made her smile. Sam was a smartass, sheer annoyance. Vincent had a coolness to him. Trini startled Tex, seeing that she had just came out of nowhere. And then there was Brooke. She seemed to be closer to Tex's personality than the others. Quiet and mysterious.

Sorry that I'm late guys, I've been a bit busy with other RPGs and I want to give this one an honest shot. Oh for anyone who's wondering, my character looks and sounds like David Banner from the Hulk i.e. Nick Nolte's character.

Van floated in the stasis gel before finally coming awake, his age must have been getting to him as he saw that all the other pods were open and their occupants nowhere to be seen. He reached out his hand and touched the door, immediately it opened and Van fell out to the ground, coughing and wheezing to try and catch his breath, eventually a large amount of stasis liquid dropped to the floor and Van made his way to the Sanitation Units [Showers]. After finally getting all that goo from his hair and beard and finding his clothes in the locker he'd placed them, Van decided to make his way to the Briefing Room where everyone else would be.

As their conversation continued Van walked through the door, his lab coat and medical credentials showing. He stood in the doorway for a moment and asked to be excused for being late, as he'd only now awoken from his cryosleep. The Captain asked him to take his seat and that they were introducing themselves to each other. He saw that his medical assistant had already arrived and that she was just taking her seat, he smiled and pushed up his glasses as he took his seat next to her, it was only then that he realised that it was his turn to introduce himself. He stood up coughed and spoke in a hoarse voice.

As Trini took her seat she eyed the older man coming through the door and hoped her assumptions were correct. Luckily they were and she no longer had to hold her breath. She got nervous for a while looking around for te doctor and hoped he would be coming around soon.

She just didn't want to be resposible for serious problems, yet. As she sat down and waited for everyone else to finish talking she began to think about how many years she had left. But soon that thought left her mind. This missions was what her mind really went to. This was the furthest she'd been away from home, and hoped that it would be adventurous, yet quick.

Not that she was afriad of the dark recesses of space, but the smalll company, wandering weeks from another living being, that got to her.

Her thoughts were cut off by a clearing of a voice. Silence filled the room for a moment. Before the Captain spoke up.

"Is that it for introductions?" He said looking aorund making sure he didn't miss another person.

He returned Havens stare with equal coldness.

Allen- "Yes. That's everyone. Now all of you will listen to my portion of the briefing." He looked around. "Ms. Megelani, would you kindly save your nail care needs for a different time? This is rather important." She gave him a curt little smile and slid her nail file into a pocket. "Thankyou."

Arthur- "Captain?" Allen looked at him and nodded. "Now, we all know what's been told to the public. We also know it's bullshit. Some of us," he looked at Satell, "probably know better than others... But how about you lay it all face up for us."

Allen- "My pleasure Mr. Sayed." He looked around at everyone again. "Everything told to you and the public was bullshit, like Sayed here said. What really happened is as follows. The Lewis and Clark docked with the Event Horizon. After finding the crew either slaughtered or missing, it became a salvage mission. They prepped the Event Horizon for travel, but never finished. Some of the crew was killed by Dr. William Weir. Some were believed to be killed by the ship itself. The Black Box of the Lewis and Clark to earth before the detection of Graviton emission was detected, meaning the Event Horizons engine portion dissapeared after the Lewis and Clark was destroyed. Also meaning we have a gap. No one really knows anything about that mission but what the BB and the remaining crew members told. What they did find out was that the Event Horizon had traveled to something that resembled hell." A few people looked doubtful. "I know it sounds impossible, but that's what the BB and the crew said. The crew, a more reliable source on this specific subject, said something about strange scans. The BB confirms this. The scans detected the ship as a living being. Which means it was somehow alive and attempting to save itself, think of it as an immune system of sorts. Dr. Weir was never accounted for. All reports say he was MIA, but the crew says he was 'absorbed' by the ship. Turned into part of it and possibly a representative of the hell dimension. This is all extremely confidential and you are the first to hear it except maybe a handful of people. Our mission is to recover this ship. We are more prepared this time. A better ship. A better crew. Weapons. Medicinal preperations. And," he took a breath, "we also have the power of God." Everyones eyes widened. "I personally don't believe in Him, but the Roman Catholic Church took the time to bless every single thing on this ship. They thought it might help. And who knows, we might get there and find the ship completely abandoned with no funky shit going on. But we might find exactly what the other crew did. We won't know until we get th-" An alarm blared.

Vincent- "What the fuck..." Red lights flashed on. Allen ran to the nearest control panel and typed in a few commands. The color ran out of his face. "What?!"

Allen- "We have a meteorite shower in-comming." He eyed Sam. "This is your time to redeem yourself you cocky little shit. Get your ass to the cockpit! I don't feel like dying before this fucking mission starts!" Sam was up before he started his second sentence. "Everyone else! Get some fucking emergency repair kits! We might have some work on our hands..."

Like a shot, she was out of her seat, moving swiftly down the corridor that was soon seething with people rushing to their post. She took her seat at the console and punched a few buttons. Then she inserted her speaker into her ear and tapped the volume slightly. The echoes patched themselves through her ears and she began to get a picture of the asteriods coming through to them.

Subspace echoes, definetly. She grimaced and braced herself. This definetly qualified as a bumpy ride.

Allen: What's the damage?

Satell:....subspace echoes. Big ones.

Sam: Sounds fun.

Satell: ...oh really?

With a swift uplink, she wired the speaker to transmit through the P.A. system. Huge blasts and reverberations slammed through everyone's eardrums.

Ruben swore.

So this was what the big deal was about. He wasn't here to keep the quacks under control... he was there to help rescue some hellish ship.

Holy fuck. Not a good day.

And now a meteor shower. Just his luck. Following the others to one of the inset wall panels, he grabbed an oxygen mask and a technical kit. Which, on second review, was probably a pretty useless thing to do considering he had no fucking idea what to do with one.

Running after Arthur, he grabbed him by the shoulder.

"What the fuck am I supposed to do?"

Pursing his lips disapprovingly, Arthur looked at him "You mean you don't know how to use these?"

"No"

"Follow me then"

Ruben followed Arthur and some chick down the corridor.

Trini's whole tone to this mission changed in a matter of minutes, froming hearing how the ship was a device of Satan to red lights whirling.

The only thing she could do was as the captain said. She and the others started for headed to the maintainance dock. She herself was more so worried about the medical dock. Before leaving Allen she talked to him breifly.

"I'm going back to the medical bay, after I get the repair kits. If this shower does cause damage we'll need to save as many of the med supplies as well."

Although shy at the introductions Trini's attitude changed rapidly.

"Sure go ahead, take the doctor with you as well. Satell will meet up with you both later."

She nodded and ran to the maintainance dock, catching up with the doctor.

Allen- "Dammit! Everyone said we were clear for at least three months... Not even space trash... How the hell could something this big get through their satellites?" The color was beginning to rise back into his face, and along with it a sence of anger. The echoes were reverberating through the corridors of the medium sized ship. He switched off the PA and ran to an emergency locker. He grabbed a couple 'Caulk Guns' and threw them to people as they passed to door. The guns worked like chemical patches. You hooked onto the punctured part and pumped a compound into the hole. When the compound hit the frigid cold of space, it froze solid, sealing the hole and synthesizing all the compounds of the ships hull making a perfect seal. They had an extremely good chance of getting hit. The ship was nearly three hundred feet long, one hundred feet wide, and seventy feet high. Hopefully the Pilot was as good as he boasted he was.

Ripping open the protective plastic wrap from the pack, Ruben grabbed the gun-shaped object from inside. Now, this was something that he could work with.

Judging from the pictures inscribed on its side, it was some kind of material that plugged holes. Simple enough... right?

Still following Arthur, Ruben skidded to a halt. Running past an intersection, he felt a small breeze tugging at his overalls.

Racing down the corridor, Ruben looked all around, searching for the source of the mysterious breeze. And then he saw it. A small hole, with jagged edges, the pressure of the air whistling slightly as it ran over the metal. Skidding along on his knees, baseball style, Ruben jammed the barrel of the caulking gun into the hole and pulled the trigger. Nothing happened. Then he realised, and, depressed the safety switch. A thick, grayish liquid oozed out. Almost instantaneously it plugged the gap and sealed. Scrambling to his feet, Ruben headed back towards the first corridor.

Where had that damn technician gone?

Tex was the last to run out of the mess hall. Everyone scattered about, running about the corridors like chickens with their heads cut off. Tex shook her head and giggled at the humorous performance. She knew this was a serious matter, but she couldn't help herself. Her personality was weird like that.

"Tex! Catch!" Allen threw a caulking gun at her.

"Thanks," Tex studied the gun and nodded.

"I just love how everyone scattered like that. I have people who don't know what the fuck to do," Allen shook his head in annoyance.

"Trust me, I know," Tex smiled at him,"Catch you later, Allen. I am off to find a few holes to caulk."

Allen gave her a smile, Tex turned around and began to make her way down the corridor.

"Tex, you might need this," Allen threw her a small ear piece and small microphone,"You know, just in case you get lost. I'm on channel 3, as are you and the communications. "

Tex slipped on the head set and winked. She disappeared around a corner.

Van was racing down towards the medical bay and noticed that his assistant was behind him, he called for her to meet him in the medical bay and that he was taking a different route. As he said so he dodged into the corridor that back to the mess hall, he called to the Captain to throw him over one of the Caulk Guns in case the medical bay was hit. The Captain glanced at him and threw him over two, "one for you and one for Trini" he called, with his new gear Van now started back towards the Medical Bay at the other end of the ship.

Van new that space travel was dangerous but for the love of God, he hadn't expected to die on his latest mission. He turned the next corridor and felt an enormous thud against the hull followed by the sound of the oxygen leaking out into the vacuum of space. He aimed the Caulk Gun and released the foam plugging the crack in the armour of the ship, he knew that he wasn't far from the Medical Bay but the ship could keep taking such a hammering. The Bay was now in sight as he turned the last corner and it seemed as if it had suffered no damage, he called out to Trini and hoped that she was still there. "Trini, Trini" he called alarmed hoping that she hadn't been wounded in the storm, she looked out and called to Van to run faster and that they had an oxygen leak in the bay.

Van reached the bay and felt the sharp pull of the vacuum against his chest as he entered. He threw over the Caulk gun to Trini and hoped to God that she knew how to use it, she pulled the released cap and contained the breach. He was impressed but time was short, he asked her if there was any loss of supplies when the Bay was hit by that rock, she replied that it hadn't. He asked her to get a Medical Emergency Kit in case any member of the crew would need medical attention when they got to the Engineering bay. He hitched the Caulk Gun over his shoulder and grabbed a Medical Kit as they left the Bay and headed towards the Engineering Section. Van couldn't tell how badly the shower was pounding the ship but he knew that it was no piece of cake. He took the personal radio and microphone from the wall of the Medical Bay spoke into it.

Van: In a tone of urgency Captain, have we any injured in the Engineering Section?

There was no response

Van: An even more urgent tone CAPTAIN ?, CAPTAIN ?

His urgent voice was heared through her other channel. Satell hit the necessary clip and spoke in a calm relaxed voice, one quite unlike Van's.

"I'm sorry the captain's not in right now, leave a message and I'll make sure he returns your call immediately."

"That's not funny!"

"I'm sorry Van, couldn't reisist. The answer is no, nobody has been injured yet. You may temporarily relax."

"Thank. You."

Van turned off the link and continued to the medical bay, slightly rifled at Satell's all condescending tone.....

Tex jogged down the corridors. Her boots clanking down the metal grid. She heard Van and Satell and giggled at Satell's first response.

Tex was now in the Weapons Wing. She cautiously walked through the empty wing. She entered a room that contained ammo, guns, explosives, and other forms of weaponry. A high pitched whistle sang in Tex's ear. The breeze from the vaccum of space forced her hair to dance in the air. Tex walked deeper into the room, her breath stared to shorten, she knew she was getting close to the hole.

"Tex, where are you?" Satell's voice buzzed.

"I'm in the Weapons Wing," Tex looked around a metal box of explosives and saw a hole the size of a silver dollar.

"Don't venture too far," Satell stated and then the buzzing disappeared.

Tex nodded and pointed the tip of the caulking gun into the hole that seemed to grow. She pulled the trigger and the grayish ooze seeped out. Tex watched it spread and harden. Satisfied she stood up and ran out of the room. Heading further into the corridor, Tex eyed the walls and listened intently for escaping air.

The corridor made a circle and split into two directions. Tex turned left, Security Wing. Tex entered the room, a few jail cells were the decor. She stood still, but the moment of stillness was interrupted with the sound of astroids pelting at the ship's hull. The ship shook as if it were experiencing an earthquake, sending Tex onto the grated floor and rolled into a cell. Her caulking gun soared across the floor and over to the other side of the room.

Tex tried to stand but the shaking was relentless. She pulled herself to her feet and held onto the bars of the cells. She slowly made her way over to the caulking gun. The shaking stopped, there was a moment of silence.

"I have a bad feeling about this," Tex blew chunks of her hair from her face.

"Where are you now, Tex?" this time it wasn't Satell.

"I'm in the cell block. Who is this?" Tex couldn't recognize the voice, she was too concered about a low humming echoing throughout the room.

Arthur scrambled into the engine compartement, ignoring the flashing red lights that dogged him as he pulled tools from his cover-all. He quickly un-did a panel and began examining the interior workins.

"Shit! Hey, captain!"

"Yes."

"Tell that son-of-bitch pilot to lay off the port thrusters! A micrometorite has damaged the fuel canisters. Anything too big and we'll be floating!"

Ruben swore. The damn technician had run off.

Prowling the corridors, wary for any pressure drops, Ruben heard a voice coming from the area of the cells. Heading into the room, he saw one of the crew... Tex her overalls said. She was looking around, intently talking into her headphone. Pulling his earphone out of his front pocket, he jammed the bud into his ear. There was no voices, just static.

Then Tex turned around, and went straight past him, as if she never even saw him. She ran off down the corridor speaking into her earpiece. Ruben's crackled with silent static.

What the fuck was going on here?

Sam finally reached the cockpit. He buckled himself in and looked out the window, only he couldn't see out of it. The smaller meteors had cracked the windows terribly. Sam patched himself into the PA.

"Will someone with a caulk gun please get their ass up here to fix these goddamn windows before they break!?"

With the windows being too scraped up, he had to rely on the computer detection and cameras. He checked through all of the cameras very quickly, and didn't like what he saw. An almost solid wall of asteroids. Shit.

As they were getting closer, he determined where the largest gap was; which turned out not to be very big. He would have to use some weapons. Soon rock after rock comes hurtling towards the ship. He passes through a thick cluster of jagged rocks that look as if they were meant to tear through the hull of the ship and disembowel it's occupants.

As soon as he passed another swirling cloud of rock and death, he sees something that terrifies him. A giant asteroid. Huge, easily ten times the size of the ship. As soon as he tries to get past it, he get a call from Allen:

"Sam, Arthur told me to tell you not to use the port thrusters."

"I'm sorry Captain, but I have this monster rock just ahead, and I have to."

"Fine," He replied into the com, then yelled into the PA: "Everyone, get to starboard!" The captain continued to use the PA to tell command on what was to happen after the engine blows.

At that, Sam turned the ship so that when he used the port engine, the explosion that was likely to occur would propel them past the last gargantuan rock. He activated the port. The explosion that occured was more than what Sam had expected. The sirens started again. He was right though, they were going to clear the asteroid.

As they were leaving the field, a fragment traveled against the flow of the other asteroids and exploded through the glass and cut completely through Sam's shoulder. Sam screamed. He barely heard himself yell into the PA for a medic. He blacked out.

"Damn, do you hear that?" Trini said hereing the yell of a voice through the static.

Van nodded his head and the two of them ran for the cockpit. Luckily they had both heard the call and ran there immediately. As they ran they passed a few minor holes, each filled as they went along, and luckily none were out of their reach. Not wanting to leave them in need of medical personel. Trini urged the doctor to go on.

"You sure you'll be fine?" He asked again throwing her his caulking gun as well.

"You'll do better than me at assessing that situation up there. go help him please, I'll be right behind you." She was getting a bit winded as well as feeling the effect the small holes had on her oxygen supply.

Van also feeling it had a better tolerance due to the years his body has been in space. He began to go on ahead of Trini, she straggled behind him, but didn't stop. Only breaking to fill a hole from time to time.

She finally reached the cockpit. Van was already there, but the vacuum of space was still wistling behind them. She quickly sealed the hole, threw the guns to the side and began to help Van.

"What's the damage...?"

He voiced no reply, but the Communication's specialist did.

"Concussion when the asteroid passed through his shoulder at a high velocity. ...blood loss when I finally got here. Only to find the hole and my lack of any good preperation."

Van finished applying pressure to the wound and looked up calmly.

"Lesson learned. ....who's driving this thing?"

Satell walked over quickly and assumed quick control.... She had enough knowledge to prevent a collision with anything else. Trini and Van picked their fallen pilot up and walked out carefully. The Captain's voice registered in her ears.

"The situation down there?"

"It's under control Captain."

"What happened exactly?"

"Based on observation and audio alone, an asteroid ripped through Pilot Sam's shoulder, tore a hole, he fell, hit his head, blacked out. Trini and Van just took him to sick bay. I'm assuming temporary control of our flight."

"I'm on my way."

"Hello!? Who is this?!" Tex yelled into her headset.

The ear piece screeched with static. Tex winced. The low humming gradually grew louder, she started to back up.

"Can anyone hear me?" Tex started to panic.

She then turned around and headed out of the cell block. She looked around the corridor for a sign of the crew. She felt someone but could not see a soul. The static in her ear cut out and silence filled the gloomy air. The sound of her breathing echoed through the empty corridors.

"Hello? Arthur? Vincent? Ruben? Kenneth? Someone?" Tex tapped her ear piece.

"T....x........Ca..ou..hear..." a voice came through her ear.

"Who is this? State your name!" Tex started to run down the corridor.

She finally saw a sign that looked familiar. The sign read "Mess Hall". She was relieved. The PA rang out with a agonizing scream. It was Sam, then Van's voice came through.

"What's going on?" Tex ran into the cockpit.

Sam was leaning back in his seat, Van and Trini were patching the wound on Sam's shoulder.

"Where have you been? We've been trying to contact you and Ruben for the past ten minutes now," Satell swiveled her chair around.

"I told you, I was in the cell block,'' Tex looked confused.

"You never told me anything," Satell spun her chair around to watch the course.

"Didn't you ask me where I was about five minutes ago?"

"No I did not, the last time I contacted you was when you were in the Weapons Wing," Satell looked over her shoulder.

"Then who was trying to contact me? Didn't you hear anything? Someone asked me where I was and when I tried to find out who they were, loads of static reverberated through my headset," Tex looked questionably at Satell.

"I only heard Sam's cry and Van and Trini. Where are the others? Ruben, Vincent, Arthur, Kenneth, and Brooke?" Satell demanded through the PA.

"How is Sam?" Allen burst through the door, he walked over to make sure Sam was alright.

"Arthur is trying to repair the thrusters. I hope he's alright. As for the others, I have no idea where they are," Allen walked over beside Tex.

"I know I heard and felt someone in that cell wing with me," Tex began to walk out of the room.

"Where are you going?" Satell called over her shoulder.

"I'm going to go find out who was calling to me. Maybe they need help," Tex walked down the corridor.

She was about fifty feet down and decided to ask through the headset.

"Hey, where is everyone?" Tex looked down all of the halls.
