Art Signature Of The Week | Entries | Week 002

I just have to ask: are the characters same from episode to episode? Are the shows limited only to cartoons and "kids' shows", or will there be more adult-oriented shows as well, like soap-opera and reality-tv?
Well the show can be anything you want, really. I chose a children's show for the first one because it wouldn't be incredibly deep and wouldn't require a lot of effort which is good for a first run of something never done before. But you can do anything. If other people want to use TV Time in their own roleplays then I say go for it! But I really have my heart set on a kids show so the first RP to use TV Time will be just that. Maybe not Monster Hunters but something similar. While I do want a kids show, that doesn't mean we have to be kids. Most of the characters will probably be late teens early twenties. Think something along the lines of Power Rangers. I'm all ears for any ideas.
Founder Lrb Writers Lrb Omega Ace Raiha DeLarge Sponsors Tetra of sound
Posting The basic idea is that after we've each written up a character we all become writers for the show "Magic Hat Rabbits: The Legend of the Gate to Beyond." In the actual RP everything will be divided into episodes. Each episode will be divided into three posts. Instead of posting about your character, you'll actually be posting part of an episode so we all have free control over all characters. The very first post in the RP will be the Introduction to the first episode. If you're posting an introduction you are basically setting up the story for the rest of the episode. The second post in the RP will continue the episode with a Problem. If you're posting the problem you're continuing where the Introduction left off and creating a problem for the characters of the show to face. The third post in the RP will finish off the episode with the Solution. Posting the solution is rather easy as you're just tying all the loose ends presented in the first half of the episode and ending it on a (hopefully) happy note. It may seem overwhelming but it's actually very simple. Commercials What would a TV network be without commercials? Whether or not you're participating in the RP is irrelevant if you just want to create a commercial. All you have to do is write/make a fake advertisement that might appear in between episodes of a TV show and PM it to me. Once I receive and approve it you can post your commercial in any OBtv show running. You can only post the same commercial once in each show but you can always just create another commercial. What kind of things would you advertise and how? Your restrictions are only as limited as your creative abilities. If you want to advertise a thread you posted in the arcade then by all means create a short and fun ad for it and send it my way. If you want to create an ad for some zany invention that would never work in real life then you can. I imagine commercials will come in all shapes and sizes. You can create a video on YouTube, make a picture on photoshop, write up a read-only commercial or even a combination of all three! If you are interested in creating a commercial but can't think of anything then please send me a PM and I'd be more then happy to help. If you already have something in mind then make it and send it my way! If you have any questions concerning OtakuBoards Television or Magic Hat Rabbits please ask them here.
Magic Hat Rabbits: The Legend of the Gate to Beyond - set to air Fall 2008 More Shows In Production
I was in some sort of basement in a house with a family. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were the parents and they had 6 kids who were just randoms. Then the house flooded so we had to run upstairs and I looked outside and there were like three guys wearing clown masks. One of them waved at me. So I turn around and everyone is handing out guns. I get myself a pistol or something I don't really remember and for some reason we run downstairs. There in the basement is a friend of mine named Joel who then proceeds to try and fight me and throws two punches which I swiftly dodge. The third punch gets me right in the face and I think "Ouh. He hit me. Enough to wake me up." And I woke up. It was craaazy. But my dreams are usually that weird. It's kind of neat that I can relate every significant thing in my dream to something that has happened recently. I saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith, house flooding would be the ridiculous amount of Stargate: Atlantis I've been watching in the past few days, clown masked men would be Dark Knight mixed with The Strangers (bad movie), the guns is Stargate: Atlantis and Pineapple Express and for the past 2 days a lot of people have been talking to me about Joel so I guess he decided to make a cameo in my dream. :/

Very nice! You have a good colour scheme to match the picture you used and the random designs in the background are neat and very.. chibi-ish. I think the text could be better, though. Seems a little too blocky and hard to read. The snowflakes in the back seem kind of squished but that could just be me. I really like the border, though. It's like a half-transparent gradient border which is very fitting with the rest of the sig. All in all very well done. Wish I had done it myself. :)

Yeah, I don't see any reason why any member on this forum can't do every single one of those squares. Just takes a little effort.

Okay I waited a little to give you other Bingoers a go (haha) but I think I'm being too easy on you guys so I've critiqued someones writing in the Anthology. Click here. If that doesn't constitute as c&c then I don't know what does. :p

From the title, I definitely wasn't expecting something like this but that was surprisingly well written! It was a breath of fresh air from all the high-strung action/fantasy writings we get here. I really liked that it was very real. Instantly I could relate to the guy and felt more sorry for him each line. Having what you perceive as the "perfect" girl and then just when you think all is well your world gets flipped upside down. Kudos. I'd really like to see where this is going especially considering the unique title. You had a couple typos (at the beginning you have "soumate") but I knew what you meant so whatever. I don't see any grammatic errors so props for that. Your first line, "Life isn't like it is in the movies" caught me by surprise. Right from the get go I was into your story because of that line. It's obvious you've had an experience close to this one or know someone who has because I have and you really hit the nail on the head with every little detail. The guys reaction to the serious things the girl had to say were priceless. "Damn. Shit. Fuck." It worked well. :D I look forward to reading more!

I vote for Haku877. What I like about their banner is that it's not complex at all but still remains artistic. I found that while all the others were nice, a lot of them look the same. lol Mr. Maul, I see what you were trying to do with the free style thing but I think there's a limit on how simple you should make a banner. At least put effort into it. I really liked Treble's as well but Pacman is closer to the bottom then the top of the banner and that threw me off.

Baba walked along the trail in Hyrule Field towards Kokiri Forest. Every thousandth moon since he was turned into a Deku he trekked from wherever he was and set up a temporary hut in Lost Woods. As a Deku he felt much more at peace there. It was now the seventy-three thousandth moon. His feet began to ache. Thrusting his over-sized baba staff into the ground he sat in front of it, leaning back for support. He gazed at the bright full moon. His mind wandered to the night when that strange Gerudo man stopped him on the trails. "...blasted Gerudo thief." Baba thought. His eyes began to close as he stared at the starry night sky and not much later he drifted into a heavy sleep. ~ * ~ The next morning Baba stepped excitedly towards the hidden forest village. He had a wonderful dream while sleeping that really encouraged his hopes. As soon as he awoke he scribbled down every little detail he could remember as not to forget the dream. Baba was a great believer in dreams being a personal prediction of ones future. He also only dreamt once every few hundred days so that excited him too.
Dream Log 342 A man in the shadows claims victim after victim, not being caught once. I walk into the dark and he reveals himself as not a man but just the shadow of a man. Bright light from behind me sends him away and I'm in a large grassy field. Hyrule Field? In the distance I can see my staff stuck in the ground. End. Thoughts Man in Shadows - Recurring fear? Am I afraid of the man who stole my life? Bright light - Support from an outside party. Be more social. Staff in the field - [strike]My staff is in Hyrule Field?[/strike] No, too literal. Perhaps it is in an obvious spot.
Now under the impression that each step guided him closer to his former life Baba trotted quickly and happily into Lost Woods.

What an awesome way to encourage activity across all sections of the boards! Oooh this is one of your funniest stories yet and I'm honored to be in it. :catgirl: So many good moments. The best of which was Darrens obsession with wanting to cast Ultima. It's a level 55 black mage spell for God's sake! Ahaha. I can't find any flaws in it. Every joke is perfectly placed and made me laugh aloud. The writing is good, of course, and I like how it's clearly an OB Parody but isn't obvious from the get go.
“Charles,” Jeremy and Lrb said in unison. Then they stared at each other. It was awkward.
Funny! But I so would have called jinx. I can't wait for more!

Anime Anime Out of Context (image heavy)

Tower of Druaga is full of stuff like this. I found two in just the first 6 minutes of an episode! I don't think they require much explanation... Well the first two characters that come to mind are Raven from Teen Titans and the Emperor from Star Wars. lol Now obviously the Emperor isn't an anime character and you've been Raven before so let me give you another suggestion... That's right. Tuxedo Mask. I don't know about you but I think that if you could pull it off a female Tuxedo Mask would be hot. The question is are you up to the challenge?

I always thought that Quatre Winner (Gundam Wing) and Season 2 T.K. looked a lot a like. Of course Quatre's hair is a lighter blond but other than that they're pretty close! I think the very first series that grabbed me from the start was the first season of Digimon. There was so much hype around it before it came out that the first episode would have seemed amazing even if it was lame. But it was actually very good and every Saturday I tuned in for the rest of Season 1, then Season 2 and eventually even Tamers. There are only two other series' which grabbed me from the start. One is Death Note, which I don't even have to explain. The other is Full Metal Alchemist. FMA is right up my alley, genre-wise. I love science-fiction and the steam punk twist was such a breath of fresh air. Plus the plot was really intriguing. I feel like watching the movie now...

Maybe if I post here it will help attract attention to the one in the arcade too. Spare me if my review is poorly written. I'm not a big music buff. :whoops: If I Never See Your Face Again (3:21) Makes Me Wonder (3:31) Little of Your Time (2:17) Wake Up Call (3:21) Won't Go Home Without You (3:51) Nothing Lasts Forever (3:07) Can't Stop (2:32) Goodnight Goodnight (4:03) Not Falling Apart (4:03) Kiwi (3:34) Better That We Break (3:06) Back at Your Door (3:46) So the first song is an upbeat funky tune. The chorus is catchy while the bridge is merely forgettable (which seems to be a recurring trend in the entire album). The second song, Makes Me Wonder, has the same upbeat funk to it but it's executed much better. The whole song is catchy and will get stuck in your head for days. The third song is great. Catchy riffs and oddball sound effects combined with great vocals make this one of the best songs on the CD. No complaints here. The fourth song... things start to go downhill here. I've found that Maroon 5's regular and slower paced songs can get a tad repetitive after a minute or two. They also all sound alike. Song 5, Won't Go Home Without You, is one exception. It's one of the slower songs on the album but it's still very good. I'm glad they were successful in creating at least one good slow song. The next song, Nothing Lasts Forever, is bad. It's also slow but it's so boring that I always skip over it. Same goes for songs 8, 9, and 11. Can't Stop and Kiwi, numbers 7 and 10, are the best on the album. Maroon 5 is definitely good at fast, upbeat songs. If you like Maroon 5's other album then this is a must buy. In my opinion it's twice as good as the first CD. If you've never listened to them before, then listen to some songs first. My recommended tracks would be... Little of Your Time and Kiwi. Then if you like those check out Makes Me Wonder and Won't Go Home Without You. If you like those then you'll definitely enjoy the whole album. Final Verdict: B+ The upbeat songs are fun and catchy while the slow ones lack emotion and effort. I look forward to their next album.
I'm seeing it tonight. Oh god.
I'm awaiting an orgasm.

You shall receive plenty from this movie. I was lucky enough to see this at one of the Midnight Showings last night. The theater was packed and by the end of the 2 hour and a half hour masterpiece everyone was sweating. Heath Ledger. What can I say? The man is now officially my god. Every little quirk and motion Ledger does is perfect. Not only is he the best Joker, but he's the best villain in any movie I've ever seen. The movie was brilliant. I'm seeing it again. 'Nuff said.

So I just got back from seeing it in 3D. What a magnificent display of our current technology! The entire movie was visually stunning. I'm glad I read the book before seeing the movie. They complimented each other exceptionally well and there were lots of things for me to pick up on that your normal audience member wouldn't have got. They actually didn't use the same characters but they still tied the story of the book characters in. It was very well done. I have to admit that if I hadn't read the book and didn't see it in 3D it would have been a bit of a bore, though. So if you're going to see it make sure you see it in 3D. It made the movie 10x better.
