1. My school situation. It's so... loud and distracting. When I'm in school, I'd just like to get my work done and study, do everythign I need to... so I don't have things to worry about later. And I'd like to be able to concentrate. And, honestly, public shool has made me completely lazy. Now I don't I'd have a very good chance at getting my old habits back. I just like to be left alone in school and take notes, do my projects, but everyone insists on talking to me or bugging me in some way. It'd be nice to be homeschooled, or go to some private boarding school. Where people are more disciplined and courteous. So then teachers don't waste half the period screaming at everyone. >> I also always thought it would be kind of cool to live in those dorms. XD A lot of people don't care about school, or their work. I say I don't, but deep down, I do. And I'd like to be able to keep my grades up and actually be able to study and understand what we're doing. Meh... public school.
2.
I still dont understand why you persist in this argument its your life your oppinion and your sexuality and nothing and no one is going to change the minds of those who want to be gay, bi, or strait.
>.< How many times does this need to be said? (For those of you who haven't let it sunk in, anyway....) Sexuality is not determined by the mind's free will. If someone goes out with the same gender just because they 'want to' or 'feel like it,' makes it so they truly aren't gay/bisexual. If they don't actually feel attraction, sexual, personal, or otherwise... they are just doing it for the hell of it. People who are gay/bisexual cannot control it. But most straight people that are against it think that they can control it. Therefore, they try to stamp it out of them... tell them to stop... etc. So... just... stop saying those who 'want' to be gay/bisexual. It grates on my nerves. Lol. And I'm not even going to venture into the realms of animal and human relationships... it's just... weird... XD
3.
I absolutely loved Goblet of Fire. Great effect, lots of action, very funny, and emotional too. 2 THUMBS UP! But like others have said I am particularily dissapointed in Michael Gambons protrayal of Dumbledore. Dumbledore's suppose to be calm and collected, and although he does get angry sometimes, he never loses his cool. Michael Gambon is way too "abnoxious" in my opnion. He hasn't bother to read the books, nor does he plan to, and therefore doesn't really understand what Dumbledore is like, nor does he really seem to care. He stated that he's bringing his own character into Dumbledore. I don't think he's taking his role very seriously and if he doesn't get with the program sooner or later he needs to be sacked.
I couldn't agree with you any more than I already do. Michael Gambon... what to say... he may look the part of Dumbledore, but he will never be able to be Dumbledore. He doesn't have Dumbledore down the way he should. I wonder what J.K. Rowling thinks about this portrayal? If I was her, I'd be complaining for all I was worth. In interviews, she says that she works the hardest to make Dumbledore the way he is, and that by the way he acts, he is over-all one of her favorite characters. If some actor was destroying my character, I would make it clear of what I thought. It's really a shame that Richard Harris died, he was, in my opinion, the perfect Dumbledore. When I saw the first movie, and saw Richard Harris, I was just like, "Yes... that's exactly how I pictured him." *A moment of silence for Richard Harris*
4. Everyone complains about how they always cut out things in Harry Potter movies. Well, personally, I thought the script writers did a wonderful job with it. They made it flow, even with all the cut and paste they had to do. I heard they could only have a maximum of 150 pages in the script. I'd like to see you guys try and summarize seven hundred and so pages into only 150. Lol. I was impressed, to say the least. I was somewhat bothered by how Rupert(Ron) and Daniel(Harry) had their hair so long... sure, it looks hot on the Weasley twins... but... those two... cut it, boys. XD I guess it sort of made Daniel's hair look a little more.. messy and rebelious... but the look certainly doesn't flatter him. But the main reason they have that is because it's showing how they're growing and changing... etc. Though I really enjoyed this movie, and it was a little more fast paced than some of the others, I still like the first movie the best. They were all so small and cute... and I think it just captured the book the best. Plus, it was Christipher Columbus's director master piece. Lol. The crew is definitely getting better at being their characters, being comfortable on set, and you can feel it in the way they act. For example,
when Harry brought back Cedric's body? I almost cried.
I think Daniel Radcliff did a far better job at expressing the emotion compared to when he had to get upset in the last movie. Phew, I wanted to laugh the last time he... "cried.." >> They definitely put in a lot more... suggesting themes. But, you know, who cares? It was PG-13 anyway. XD But, I like how they add in little tid-bits according to how a lot of teenagers would react or say in those situations. Like Fred and George. Haha.
That part in the bathroom... with Moaning Myrtle. Oh my. XD She was getting pretty friendly with Harry, wasn't she? And I noticed something... when he goes under the water to listen to the egg, she goes under too... and he doesn't bother to cover anything. So she would eventually be able to see full-frontal. LOL.
I pointed that out to my mom and we had a pretty good laugh. XD And you know what kind of irked me?
I had really been looking forward to the Quiddich World Cup, and they only showed about a minute of it! >.< I wanted to see the veela... haha.
I missed Devon Murray(Seamus) and Sean Biggerstaff(Oliver Wood) in this one... aww... I won't get over losing Oliver. Lol. But I got to see a fair amount of Tom Felton(Draco Malfoy), so, I guess I can't complain too much. Cute ferret. XD But, in all, I thought the movie was great. And, as always, I can't wait for the next one.
5.
Sexuality isn't just about sex. While by definition it plays a large role, there's more complexity to it, certainly in humans.
I love you, lol. Yes, sexuality has never been just about sex. I mean, you can be attracted to someone without having sexual feelings toward them. And wasn't that Hug Monster's problem in the first place? That he is attracted to guys, but cannot picture himself having sexual feelings toward them? There is such a thing as "personality attraction," which is how people fall in love anyway. People can have a perfectly fine and mutual relationship without ever involving sex, if that's just how they feel about it. People may have their urges, but sex isn't the foundation to most relationships... well... it shouldn't be, either. >>
6. Hug Monster, I wouldn't worry about it so much. As you mature and get older, your body and mind will be able to confirm what sexuality you have. I know from personal experience that it can be very, very confusing and is enough to drive a teenager crazy. But, the more you think about it, the more difficult it will become to cope with. So, relax for awhile, give your mind a break. You'll know when the time is right, so don't push yourself, okay? Just remember, life doesn't come easy to understand... when you are ready and a little less stressed out, do what Solo said, experiment a little. I had to do a little research and experimenting before I figured out I was in fact bisexual. Sure, I'm only 13... but I don't think age differs the way you'll think or feel. Sometimes, it just takes people longer to figure out their sexuality. Good luck, in any case. ^.^ Side note: Attimus, you have every right to have your own opinions... but I just want to say... there is no "right" and "wrong" when it comes to someone's sexuality. Love has no bounderies when is comes to gender. And it never has. But since, naturally, a man and a woman are the essentials for mating, people have pushed that that pairing is the only right one. But people don't have a choice if they are gay/bisexual... it is a mix up in DNA/genes and it cannot be helped. I am wishing more people would realize this, because so many blame the people for being gay/bisexual, when it has nothing to do with their free will. But more people are becoming open with their sexuality, which is always great.
7. As AzureWolf said... people do it for entertainment. I mean, a lot of people join forums just to try and piss people off. They'll see how fast they can get banned, see how many people they can make mad, see those people's replies, then laugh. It's something people will do if they are bored one afternoon. Etc. Or, some people will be looking for a particular opinion when they ask for one... and if they don't get the advice/answer/opinion they wanted... they lash out at that person. People's minds work in odd ways.

Teen Titans: Tokyo

Yeah, the whole thing with parents sending their little evil notes... wouldn't networks just assume to ignore those letters after awhile? Because they take away their popularity. *Shakes her head* Yeah, I loved Samurai Jack, and then one day, it just didn't come back on. That was definitely a sad day. But, honestly, why do a lot of people blame the things their kids are watching for their behavior? Most kids are smart enough to know that they shouldn't re-create what they see on TV... >> Or, at least, all the kids I know. But, Cartoon Network will be hearing a lot of crap from me, that's for sure.
9. DragonBall GT. That show totally ruined any respect I had for DragonBall and DragonBall Z. The series had just gone on enough... it didn't need another off-spring brain child thing. Incredibly cheesey and unneeded. Sorry GT fans. Even though I adored the first season or two of InuYasha, I couldn't bring myself to watch a lot of the seasons in between. I have regained the habit of watching InuYasha every Saturday night... but that's only because I had a years worth of a break from it. It's okay now, because the plot is going a little faster. But... the anime definitely destroys the wonderful manga that came before it. The only thing that kept me going in the anime was Kikyo. XD I love her. Haha. I hate Scryed... however you are really supposed to spell it.. I don't care. It just seems like a rip-off of a ton of animes together. And... it's just.... beyond my bashing points. I don't know... I just... can never find the words to describe how much I cannot stand that show. Heh. Yeah, there's more... there's always more. But I don't feel like going through my brain to find the things I dislike or have a problem with... thankyouverymuch.
10. I'm sure that at least a few of you have heard word of the Teen Titans movie, entitiled Teen Titans: Tokyo. I've known that there was going to be a movie for awhile, but wasn't aware of when it was coming out, or even what it was called or about. Tonight I did a little research, however. It looks like the movie will becoming out on DVD directly, not far after the end of season five is aired on Cartoon Network. I guess the movie is posing as episode number sixty-six. As for the plot, there hasn't been much information revealed about it. All I could find was that the Titans are taking a vacation in, well, Tokyo. It's a totally original story concerning the team, no villan we've seen before... nothing. It's a completely stand alone thing. Which makes everything even more mysterious of how it will go. Which makes me even more excited about it's release. Also, this whole thing brings up another very important subject concerning the Titans. Folks, I'm sure a lot of people are aware of this, but Cartoon Network is planning on canceling the Teen Titans for it's sixth season. Why they feel the need to, though, is beyond me. I heard ratings were shooting right up there. Now, nothing is completely confirmed yet, but, just in case.... HELP FIGHT! >> I know I'm sounding totally cheesey right now... but seriously... write those letters to Cartoon Network. My banner has a link to a site where you can print out a sheet to send CN, or just the address to write an independent letter. Either way.... Okay, anyway, so... if you have any comments on either or both subjects... tell the world, or at least post in this thread. As with the movie, if you have any new info, want to share your thoughts... anything, I'd be happy to hear it. And I hope you Teen Titans fans mail those letters. Heh. I am so a Teen Titans activist right now.
11. From what you said, you guys are getting to be good friends anyway. You know what the huge plus side of that is? You can help each other out. Work together, be each other's critic. If you work with someone else, you can always learn new techniques, give each other tips. To me, this is hardly anything to complain about. If you love to draw anime/manga, then that's great, keep doing it. Just keep in mind, someone will always be better than you. And that's just natural. Different people are on different levels of, well, everything. Also, it's okay to feel competitive... it's just human nature to feel at least some heat to make it a competition. That's healthy, too, because if you feel competitive... you push yourself to practice, and not desert whatever you are doing. But... it's good to relax too... and don't let the hunger to be better take over.... and... stuff... Yeah... whatever.
12. I don't understand why anyone would or could get worked up about this. There has always been times when people say the world will end. But there is hardly a power that can achieve that goal, besides the sun. And, yes, the world will end one day at the "hands" of the sun. When the sun burns out, it expands, swallowing up the planets it once provided for, and then combusts, and "dies." I thought everyone learned that in, like, fourth grade. -__-;; That, to me, is what so many people call "Armageddon"... if that's what people wish it to be called. And like other people have said, natural disasters will always occur, the current ones are not a sign of the end. The sun will not burn out for millions of years, even more... but I don't even think the human race will last that long. With all the damage we have inflicted on the Earth, I doubt it will be able to stay stable for us for that long. Or we will just be swallowed by our waste one day, either way. We had better get situated on Mars, fast. >>
13. It's really hard to find people in my town to go trick-or-treating with... even just to walk around town with in costumes. It's sad, really. I was talking to some of my friends... and they said that, "We are too old." When the hell did that start? I was just like, "Kids, you are only in eighth grade. Where is that candy-loving coolness?" They just look at me like I'm stupid. Eh. Last year, since no one agreed to go candy hunting with me, I was dragged along to some party. So, at the last minute, I went to some GoodWill store and bought a very smexy Victorian-looking dress, put some heavy eye make-up on, and some copper streaks in my hair, and I was so the best dressed there. Though, I didn't win anything for it... since this other guy came dressed as Britney Spears, complete with performance. Heh. This year, some boys I hang out with said they were planning to dress up as hookers and go downtown on main street. They wanted me to be their pimp or something. Lol. But I don't think I fancy to see Daniel in a mini-skirt... Jordan might not look half bad, though. Haha. Other than that, which I know they won't end up doing anyway, I don't know what to do. Everyone says parties, but I am all for trick-or-treating... and maybe a party the day before or something. Though, I'm still stumped on what to go as. Maybe I should be a cow... hmm... I could easily go as some anime/manga character... but I don't believe in Cosplay on Halloween... I save that for anime conventions.
14. I don't really know my worst fear... and that's good for me, because then I don't have to visualize it when I get paraniod. But, as for some normal, everyday fears... 1.) I hate ballons. And everyone makes fun of me for it. I dunno, they just freak me out. Especially when they pop... I just... flip out. I don't even know why, either. So, whenever I see a ballon get taken out, I rush under someone's arm. Lol. I hate it when people think it's funny to pop them on purpose around me. Maybe they just don't realize the intense uncomfort I have around them. My step brother even said he was going to fill my room with ballons on my birthday. That... is just plain mean. 2.) Ice Skating. The reason? Ice skates. Oh. My. Universe. Just the thought of falling and having a fellow ice skater come along, not see your stray fingers, and skating right over them... it makes me feel insecure. I know that the chances are around... ten or less out of one hundred, but still. No one will ever get me to join them in that activity. 3.) Having something happen to my mom. Okay, this is a little more of a severe fear. But, honestly, my mom is the most important person in my life. And if anything bad were to happen to her, I would be devistated beyond belief. 4.) Phones. Alright, this one isn't exactly a fear... but it sort of is. I hate answering the phone when I don't know who it is. And it can just happen at any time. Now, 3 AM calls are just freaky. So, if I ever get a phone when I live on my own, I'm getting a freakin' Caller ID. That's basically it... but those are some of my more common and come across fears.
15. Yes, a lot of shows are good the first season... but then the creators just come back and find a way to just cheese it up and make it worse. My best examples: Pokemon and Digimon. I loved Digimon the first season or two, but after that it just got ridiculus. What can those crazy digital monsters not do now-a-days? And I'd have to agree with Corpse Torcher... The Real World... argh... the worst and most over used (besides Survivor) reality show around. Look, I know a lot of people are obsessed with the show, but honestly... what reality show is actually real anymore? I think they should all be eliminated. >> OH! Another show: All That from Nickelodeon. I hate that show! Grr. Lol. They needed to stop after the first episode. Just... no... That's all I have for now. Yeah...

Starfire+Robin=LOVE

I've never been able to read the original Teen Titans comic, so, for now I am in the dark about that. *sad* BUT, as for the show... it's obvious that Robin and Starfire have something going on... because...
there has been one episode completely dedicated to the unspoken feelings between them anyway. Plus, as remembered in "Betrothed", Robin was very unstable about Starfire going off to get married. You could literally see him steaming the whole time. And the episode where Robin is forced to go to prom with Kitty, Starfire's feelings of jealousy and hate towards Kitty... aren't quite... well hidden. And the two have their moments in many other episodes.
It's all pretty obvious, I'm just waiting for some final spark. >> If you get what I mean. Lol.
17. My last boyfriend really liked anime, and we both liked to watch the same shows, so it was pretty nice that he knew what I was talking about whenever I wanted to discuss an episode or something. But... after so long... it seemed like a competition with him. I don't even know why. All he wanted to talk about was anime... and he always wanted to have little battles to see who knew more. It got really annoying. Because I didn't care. Sometimes I like to talk about it, but not to the point where I have to talk about it all of the time and it turns out as some kind of anime knowledge compitition. Anime being the foundation of a relationship does not work at all. I already knew that... but obviously he didn't. Heh heh... good thing I dropped him after about two months.
18. To tell you the truth, you would not be able to get a correct answer on what the most popular Anime or is just from people's opinions on a discussion forum. There is so much anime, and so many people that watch it. And if you took an international survey, even, and somehow everyone that watched anime was forced to take it... you'd obviously get a lot of different answers. It's very hard to get an answer for something like that. But, if you look at TV ratings for different anime shows, you could get some good results from that. Though, that would just be results from that certain station that is airing it... etc.
19. The Earth just happened to be in the right position from the sun to hold such possible life forms that exist, well, on Earth. Animals evolved. We happened. So, now, we go around trying to find a meaning to life while we are, actually, in the middle of life's meaning... which is... to... well... live. End of story. So, my theory... live how you want... it's your own life to waste or use. You are your own descision maker. And, one more thing to add... a very common quote... "Life is what you make it." Which is totally true, no matter how you slice it.
20. I've never had a religion. I used to hate going to church, because I never really bought any of it, even when I was a little kid. I don't know... something about there being some ultimite life force living in some hidden world in the clouds just seems like something an author would make up. Because, let's face it, if God created the Earth, would that mean that he created the rest of the universe? And, with that, how was he created? And I certianly don't believe in Satan. I think that when you die, you just die. And I don't even want to try and explain ghosts. There are just some things that aren't meant to be explored and you actually find a meaning in it. God, Satan... I just... can't bring myself to believe in it. People just start religions when they want their life to have a meaning, something to believe in, so everything doesn't seem so empty... and that there will be a place for you to go when you pass on. Religions are there for some people that want to be dependent on something. And then other people are just sucked into it. That's what I think, and it's just about the most logical thing, to me, anyway. Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that a lot of people have religions. I just don't need one to keep myself stable. The universe is our creator... I guess... -__-
21. *Tries not to read the spoilers* Yeah, it hasn't come to my little Iowan town yet... ;_; But, I've been waiting for months for the Corpse Bride. It's been my lucky summer, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the Corpse Bride have come out. How lucky do you get, being the Tim Buton fan I am? I've seen the trailers and a special preview on MTV for this. And I have to say, I just couldn't keep quiet about Tim Burton doing another clay-mation movie. And, as always, he's adding just the right amount of dark beauty and humor as he always does. I know that it's not going to be like the Nightmare Before Christmas, like many people I've talked to expect it to be like. But that is good, because even though I adored the NMBC, you can't make two movies that appear to be the same. Similarities in style are always fine, even expected most of the time, but if people thought it would be exactly like the NMBC, then they should know better... Tim Burton is not dull. From what I've seen, the plot is brilliant. I've actually been waiting for a movie like this. Ha, and I think it's funny how the names are "Victor" and "Victoria". If that ever actually happened in an arranged marriage, there would be something wrong with you if you weren't scared. And yes, the Gothic structure style fits in perfectly. Maybe I'll get a chance to see it soon. (I hope so.)
22. I didn't think they'd ever take that spot, because of Cartoon Network's Fridays. I wonder why the sudden change. Oh well, looks like we have Adult Swim every day of the week, now. I'll have to check next week, since I missed it already.
23. Actually, I was just out for Chinese yesterday with some friends. I never remember my fortunes... but they are always... interesting. Haha, I always play the "in bed" game with people when we get our fortune cookies. Like, yesterday, my friend Jacob read his and it said, "You will be loyal to your family"... in bed. Heh. Another one that James got was, "You will be king of the world"... in bed. Or something like that. So he said, "Yes! I'm going to be a sex god, biznitches!" We get some of the oddest results in that game. I remember I used to love fortune cookies. I could eat them non-stop. Because of that, someone got me a whole bag of them for my birthday once. Trust me, that turned me off of them for quite some time. The ones that they give you at our Chinese resturant aren't the best, but they are okay. I'm not completely wild about them anymore, but I'll eat them.
24. Normally when you get an animal at a very young age, it will forget about it's mother and you will take that place in the animal's head. Especially if you are constantly around it. I found that getting a cat while it's younger is always better than getting one that's a few years old. If the cat is younger, it can easily adjust to it's new surroundings and it's characteristics might change, depending on the person the kitten may live with. But, if you get an older cat, the cat may take longer to adjust and will basically have the same personality as it's living with you. Cats you raise from when they're younger tend to be cozier with you than cats that are older. Just an example of it. I have a cat that I adopted when it was about six months, and it seemed to get pretty comfy with me. Always followed me around, waited for me to feed him, slept with me. All that good stuff. But, then, when I left for my dad's over the summer and I couldn't bring him along, he hadn't completely gotten used to me before I left. So, when I came home, he had formed some kind of bond with my mom. So... now he prefers her over me. ;_; Sad story. Lol. Oh well, he still likes me more than the rest of my family, besides my mom.

I won
Don't take what Lix says too hard. It's true that Poetry.com publishes (as far as I can tell) almost every poem sent to it. (I have sent a few in as jokes, myself.) However, it is kind of a cool feeling that your poem will be published. I would recommend not buying the book, but if you want to, that's fine. Keep in mind that Poetry.com is basically a "vanity" publisher. They publish all their poems in different compliations, and try to sell the books to the people whose poems they contain. That's how they make money. (Honestly, most people do not like poetry enough to buy a book of it... and those who do will not buy a book of amateur poetry.) So don't take your "win" as more than it is. However, if you're happy just to have your name and work in a book that will be seen by other people (and many people are happy with just that), that's fine. Just don't think that this is a bigger thing than it really is.
Yeah. A lot of people feel accomplished when they see their work in some official looking print. And I guess I can't blame them. I like having my work printed, but I'd like other people to see it too, and not just myself. A lot of people that enter poems into those things deserve much more than what they get. It's nice to actually get noticed when you submit something that really means something to you. I guess what I'm saying, is that me buying a book for $50 just to see my own poem, it would seem like nothing to me. Looking at the notebooks that I write my poems in, that's what should make you feel good. I know it makes me feel good, just looking back on those original penciled poems. If I were you, I'd raise the bar, shoot for some awards. Now, those make you feel really good. I won't let anyone even touch my awards. Lol.
