Not sure exactally what all has been posted here, this is my first time in awhile being online and time constraints are brutal. (Though I'll be back homeside by the weekend) Not sure if you already went through this or not but I'll tell you how revenge works out for ya... I went away on a monthlong TDY when I was with my ex. I thought I'd have cell service or some form of communication but I was misinformed. When I came back she had been dating somebody else for a week (for revenge) because she thought I abandoned her. THEN for my own brand of revenge i flaunted a picture of a girl in my unit as my "while I was away" girlfriend. Well a week later we tried working things out because we were still in love and couldn't make it work because we were both to mad the other had been so petty. So that in a nutshell is why I will never do anything out of revenge again...at least with an ex.

I can't even bring to words what I'm thinking...I do have to say however that its nice to see butch cassidy and sundance back in action

Well after taking a look at the article I can see why nobody was upset. You really didn't blast the network as much as you may have thought you did. Plus after thinking about things (I would've gotten on here the day after my post and added this if things were going different here) I think you're boss, and the network itself, probably viewed your article as publicity. I've always heard, and it makes sense, that even bad publicity is good for entertainment. If you hear something bad about a show, at least you're hearing about it and it still gives you the inclination to check it out for yourself. All in all I'm glad to hear you learned a lesson from all of this, and shared the article with your boss.

Well Chibi pretty much hit the nail on the head with her comment. While you didn't do anything wrong from a journalistic standpoint I'm going to take the con you wrote that stuck out most to me. "I used my advantage of being an intern to write an article ripping the company" While as a journalist, though I'm not one I truley belive this is the way it "should be", you must report the news as it is. In that retrospect you did nothing wrong by writing truthfull reviews of what you saw/see/feel, and since it was obviously a critique your opionion is open to others interpretations. In my opionion writing an article about somewhere you're working isn't wrong in itself either, nobody says you have to love the company you work for, hell most of the others have some sort've qualm about working there, on the other hand you DID use your status to write an article that you really probably shouldn't have. Even if there is the faintest glimmer you could want to work there in the future, you could have ruined it (not to get you work up facts are facts, though I don't think you have anything to worry about.) Of course hindsight being 20/20 I'm going to go ahead and give you my idea of what should've been done. You should've tried to cut down the "ripping" a bit, choosing your words is a vital aspect of being a journalist. If something isn't up to your idea of entertaining, you can always say it just like that there's no need to "spice" it up. In the end I don't think you're boss will be mad too long, I do think she has a right to be erked a bit but it'll pass. In the end it was a simple high school article, also if you have a copy post it so we can get a see of what/how you said it.

I'm starting to catch on to all of this. There really is no swine flu... It all makes perfect sense. Germaphobe Howie Mandel wants the fist pound to forever take the place of the classic high 5. Please everybody join me in the resistance! We've already lost one, the poor girl in the picture fell victim to the syrum that actually makes Howie seem funny. The only known vaccine is a healthy dose of Highiest Fiviest.

Raven shook his head smiling as Christophe and his...new friend left the area. He was amazed to no end on a vampire's ability to seduce mortals. His smile faded as he peered around the bar, he wasn't worried about keeping everybody in line there were no more then lesser creatures left after Therese, Christophe and the Revenant left. Eyeing around the bar Raven saw a vampire that caught his eye. He was a young man, he didn't carry himself with the age and experience of those like Therese and Christophe, but the way he carried himself screamed that he was a major player. Crossing the room towards the table four lesser "parasites", as the Revenant refered to them stepped up to block his advancement. Not moving his gaze from the leader of this pack Raven addressed the four stupid lesser vamps, "I suggest that you do not step in my way. I must speak with your leader, if you do not move I will make you." "Nobody talks to Tobias, not even Christophe dares to come to this table." The biggest one of the group puffed his chest out as he spoke. "I would venture to say that Christophe does not bother you because you aren't on his radar. Now I'm not going to say this again, get out of my way." One of the smaller ones in the group tried throwing a suckerpunch from the side. Grabbing his hand Raven twisted, sending him into a roll and snapping his wrist. Not giving the others a chance Raven grabbed the bigger one that was doing all the boasting. Allowing his face to revert to hits skeletal form Raven's burning red eyes locked onto the vampires. Within seconds his body was cold and limp.... The remaining two uninjured vampires turned tail and ran for the door, knocking over guests in their wake. Turning back Raven took the chair oppisite Tobias and peered into his eyes, his face once again its human form. "You know that trick won't work on me Reaper." He hissed under his breath. In fact he was right, lesser creatures and most mortals fall prey to the basic "Death's Breath" skill that all reapers possess. However it was easy to see Tobias knew his place around the Reaper. "I think we need to have a little talk my little vamp friend..." Raven leaned over, it was time to start working on the investigation. Though the empty gaze he was getting told Raven this vampire was probably an empty vessel for information.

Well I thought I'd be the first to comment and say its most likely time to buy a razor. Your peroxide rag will just bleach it blonde...which may work out for you I suppose. All hair removal treatments (short of laser hair removal) are delaying measures at best.

I was hesitant to pre-order this game just due to the simple fact that seemingly ALL movie based videogames get decent praise pre-release and then fall massively short. I sat and watched my buddy play the other night for everybit of 3 hours and was enthralled the whole time...though the negative response to my several "ewww awww...oh oh can I try?" made me do this :( :angry2: :animecry: :grumble: :animecry:

Well as any of you who have red my sig know I'm destined to become a daddy...yiikes! I don't need to divulge the details of the way it happened, though the story is in itself muy interasante. I have to say, even though I have around 8 months...technically I'm at 7 and some change but 8 sounds so much better to me, I'm scared to death. The thought of somebody having pure and utter dependence on you...well scares me to death in truth. I'd like to hear what all you OB fathers out there have to say about being a daddy, and girls don't feel left out if you have any advice for me please let me have it...believe me I need it.

You almost feel bad for the guy, all of us want to leave some sort've legacy behind but it seems that his is...well I guess his legacy is that everybody will remember that nobody cared that he died. (I guess he at least has a legacy.) R.I.P...whoever you were
Sometimes I feel like I visit this place too much.
Thus is the life of a mod... I'm still currently in an active duty thing so I'm DRASTICALLY reduced in my log in hours. I'm trying to make it a goal to get around everyday but it's a little difficult at present. When not here I'm typically here everyday to throw my two cents...and have it returned battered and bruised...into whatever topic that seems interesting. I am both happy an dissapointed to see all the new threads in the Theater, its nice to see it hoping but where was it when I was roleplaying all the time...or maybe that was the problem?

Raven was fully transformed as he peer'd from the darkest corner at the vampire and demons conversation. He knew these were no mortals, and he must tread lightly lest his eavesdropping might be thought of as a threat. "So why do the fates send an agent to investigate a matter inside the vampire community my friend." The seemingly head vampire, Christophe, nonchalantly called without turning his head. This action alerted his friends who turned at once to him. Before they could catcha glimpse of his true from Raven had already exited the shadows in his human form, a small trace of mist hung behind him for but a moment, an dwas gone. "I'm afraid your...problem has become much...much more then just a few missing vampires Christophe. Whoever is causing this ruckus is taking the souls of the deceased with them, hiding them from their fate." Raven detested vampires. They are among the few that get their souls taken from them, and then given back by dark powers. Imagine eating regurgutated food, unless you are a baby bird that cannot sound appealing. Thus is taking the soul of a vampire. "What is it any of your business Reaper?" The female vampire spoke up, her voice full of passion and conviction that Christophe's lacked. "When somebody toys with fate, they toy with the very fabric of space and time. We all have a time to die, and though I'm not given the privelidge of knowing when somebody is to die. I am given the authority to take them early, so all I ask is that you allow me access to every inch of your club without issue. Otherwise I will call in every last Reaper in the area to lay waste to everything you know." Without another word Raven turned, he knew he wouldn't intimidate anybody. The little fox spirit would be in an uproar, the girl vampire would be mad, and of course Christophe wouldn't act like he had a care in the world. Raven meant what he said, Reaper's were given many gifts and were expected to die in the process of accomplishing fates mission...Raven was no exception.

Though you hurt my feelings with the werewolves being cliche comment I'm game. Name: Raven Talos Age: 1200 Race: Reaper Gender: Male Appearance:http://www.sdtimes.com/blog/image.axd?picture=2009%2F1%2FAngel_of_Death.jpg (True Form) http://api.ning.com/files/wrjO*zG72q15zDCtI-JKGMhOsJMC2o1bSqtigfntftaYnK4J5YTFozfvBQbzMaN9croHBfBLXIdJHOfHdcXn9q6EGUp9N7ji/AnimeGuy9vampire.jpg (Human Form) Personality: Raven is as sadistic as his race gets. He cares not for material goods and only about himself. He has a problem with taking in too much mortal drink at times, though it does nothing to change is always sour mood. From years of dealing death he fears it not, though tends to become angry when people take matters into their own hands instead of letting fate decide when the bell tolls. History: Raven was an assassian who took orders straight from Cesar himself. He was so gifted, however, he was deemed to dangerous to serve his position. As a reward for all his years of dedicated service Raven was drawn, quarterd, and his remains locked in an iron strongbox so as to prevent his soul from leaving. Decades of torment turned Raven's spirit into a blood thirsty, vengence driven fiend. Once the box was finally opened his soul lept forward killing the unlucky grave robber that night. Still without a place to call home, a passing reaper subdude Raven's spirit. Instead of devouring Raven's soul and sending him to eternal damnation, the Reaper decided to allow Raven the rarest of rights...to become a Reaper himself. Since then Raven's spirit has traveled the realm dealing death to those fate has deemed ready for eternity. One small problem, Raven's soul never recovered. His insanley evil soul tends to creep out on occasion meaning a swift death for those around him...if they're lucky. *Thought I'd add that Reapers are essentially in fact the Grim Reaper, though they're many in numbers. (And here you thought one being did all the work) They tend to be powerfull. They live forever, though like all creatures can be killed.

Adrian heard of the captains daughter's attempts of taking over control of The Dawn, and has been following her for the past day in hopes of getting some confirmation of this.

Sign Up Project Restoration: The Begining
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Akieen Cloud's topic in Theater
Hey KG I wanted to throw my hat in the ring if you'll let me, the only thing I wanted to ask before I put up my sign-up is whether or not I could change the fox mech into a wolf mech, or did you already have a reason for these specific animals? Just let me know that, my sign-up is already in the works. -
RPG Band of the Blood Moon 2: Sins of the Father
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Drizzt Do'urden's topic in Theater
Gabriel had been trailing the team for sometime, he'd been tracking their progress and was pleased. The timeframe for the mission had grown increasingly narrower due to some advances on the other side... He watched as the two wolves left the building that housed Calil and Pembrooke, she was the key to releasing Dean and Gabriel knew he'd have to convince her to help him. But that new body and the lack of memories would most likely be a problem... Gabriel slowly approached the door and knocked, if Calil opened the door he would play it nice. If it was Pembrooke he would have to incapacitate the man, his magic was one thing that Gabe feard for it was far more advanced then any of the Band could comprehend. ----------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile... The door to the cell opened much as it always did, Dean figured that it marked midday. Though it was so dark he couldn't possibly get a bearing on anything. The same demon that had been pestering him everyday stepped in, his cruel thorn whip already drawn out. They replayed this dialogue every single day, he'd try and play nice telling Dean that he'd be released if he'd give him the ingredients. Then when Dean refused he'd beat him until he passed out...it had happened so many times Dean just grew to assume he had been killed and he was indeed in hell. Doomed to repeat this until his soul broke and he became what he'd fought against for so long. "Dean, I'm starting to grow weary of this game. My master even moreso then I. I've been informed that today is your last chance. I've gathered a bit of news from one of our operatives that your little plaything Calil." Dean rose to his feet at the mention of his beloved, though he feel right to the ground due to the weakness of his body from only a slice of toast and water once a day. "Hmm, maybe I shouldn't even bother telling you this but I will anyways. Calil has been given a new body and has had a memory wipe. She has forgotten all about you, but we know all about her. We know where to find her...watch." The monitor changed to a figure standing outside a door knocking on it. As the door crept open, a girl Dean did not know was standing there cautiously eyeing the man. As if out of nowhere a scyth attached to a chain descended out of his trenchcoat pocket. As the man turned, a giant flaming demon stepped into the picture, it was almost as big as the house they were occupying. Dean starred in horror as what he assumed were too demons attacking the house...the screen went dark. If she had no memories there was no way she could fight. Dean curled into a ball as the first crack of the whip sounded off his back. Dean had never encountered such cruelty... -
You guys think Dritz is gonna pee him self reading these when he gets back? Oh I do, I really do. lol.
That's a big YES on that statement KG. We're getting 2 15 min internet accesses per week right now, can't tell you guys how happy I am to see this working out so well. -
I do agree your idea is interesting Shogun, and transfered well to your medium. The only thing is keep an eye out for you spelling. If you're able too use spell check before you post, and as always make sure you proofread. Even the slightest spelling mistake can be a big turnoff for many readers. As I said though, I like your idea and you did well bringing it to life. Remember, there is no rule banning double posting in the Anthology section so don't wait around for a comment before posting. Around here you never know who is reading and enjoying your work due to the tendency of people not wanting or being able to take the time to write a reply.

Korey runs his jeopardy by weeks, I think he's been pretty inactive on this one. I'm assuming he'll put up week 5's sign-ups when he gets back so just be patient and keep an eye out.

Well thanks for the advice Allamorph, but I've already done the stepping back and taking in the "big picture". I apologize for flooding the thread with "backlash" posts trying to defend myself when it was my fault I didn't go into detail about my meaning of "government meetings" in my first post. My $20 was based on a government meeting meaning a city government, or city council, meeting. Which I live in a small town with just over a thousand more then the town mentioned in the article, and yes I know that a city is comprised of many offices, though admitingly I'd never heard of the Board of Alderman. So again it was my fault for not going into detail, I didn't expect somebody would misinterpret my meaning and strike me down with their google search bar. So my fault for being vague, but I do think that the single phrase set a tone of a condesending post by a person whose ability to google numbers apparently gives him a license to do so based on previous posts.

If you see my newest post you'll see the way I'm going to control Dean vs. Gabriel. Gabe is my primary character and Dean's going to get an occasional *Meanwhile*, but keep an eye out for those moments. Ambushes are coming and you all know what you're up against. Please make sure you read what I'm about to post before fighting. These are new and improved creatures we're fighting. They're not the pushovers we fought in the first chapter. Meanier, stronger, faster and more bloodthirsty then ever. List of Enemies: Werewolves: Thanks to the ability of certain members of The Lady Death Squad to endow their powers onto others, the werewolves have grown in power immensly. They're stronger, faster, and no longer the dumb animals (no offense to Karyn) that they were. These wolves are uncharacteristically smart and show it. The leaders tend to weild supernatural powers, much like the Lox clan we fought. Vampires: While its true the older a vampire gets the stronger his inate abilities grow. These vampires are exceptions to the rule. They've managed to develop the ability to instantaneously turn a person in a single bite, and even control the person's mind. Their physical attributes have also grown, though not as much as the wolves. Zombies: Undead warriors controlled by a "puppet master". This type of necromancy typically takes years to perfect, and more time then mortals possess to control more then one creature. Zombies instantaneously rejoin severed body parts and can only be killed by one method, incineration. They tend to be much slower then most, but their strength is unmatched. Lesser Demons: Demons that are able to possess creatures of all types. They typically don't carry much in the way of "powers", but their increased speed and strength make them formidable foes. As with all demons they cannot be truley killed, only banished from their hosts...for now (More to come, I'll keep you posted) -
RPG Band of the Blood Moon 2: Sins of the Father
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Drizzt Do'urden's topic in Theater
Gabriel stood in the trees watching Calil as she strode, emotionless in the direction of Dean Remington's old mansion. The increase in the demonic activity, and the movement of Dean's old team must've meant that he was captured. Everything seemed to be going according to plan, only why didn't this one seem to be in a hurry? Why did she just stroll along? Didn't she know that with Dean's capture it would only be a matter of time before the demons came after the others that were involved at the closing of the gate? Deciding that the ambushes would be sprung at anytime, Gabriel stayed his course maintaining stride with Calil trying to be as silent as can be. ------------------------------------------------------- *Meanwhile* Dean watched the looking glasses on the wall of his cell. His captures swore he would watch all of his friends die, over and over again and they were preparing to do their best to make it a reality. He was happy to see his message made it to at least some of his old allies. Karyn, Calil and Anya were all jumping to action. Or rather Karyn and Anya were, Dean was hurt by Calil's reaction to his message. Though he knew the way he left and stayed under the radar wouldn't make any sense to any of the others, if they only knew how many times he'd been jumped by demons due to the price on his head... His cell door swung open casting light on his "shackels". The steal hooks the demons ran through his flesh, and in some cases solid bone, he hated the light and the demons knew it. They'd sometime leave the cell door open, knowing the light often times caused him to vomit at the sight of his chains. The same demon that entraped him entered, it seemed he was one of the "top dogs" in this group. "The Squadron of Lady Death" is what they called theirselves, though Dean didn't know why. He assumed their leader was most likely a female demon, but he'd never heard of this group in all his demon lore. "Let me change the channel for you Dean, I'm sure you're getting sick and tired of the same old same old. The demon waved his arms infront of the mirrors, and in an instant the ambushes that were set were visible to Dean. He could see groups of Zombies surrounding Dunan and Dawner, Werewolves surrounding Draco, still in America, and Anya. Vampires were arriving in mass at Karyn's location. And possibly the worst of all, full blooded demons steadily surrounding Calil. Dean tried to muster up the strength to cry out to them, but all his belongings had been burnt. Including the item Draco had given him years ago, hopefully that would act as a tracking beacon to his location, which he assumed was somewhere in Sumaria due to the surroundings outside of the castle they took him too. "Just think, all of this can be avoided with a simple reciepe. Just tell us the ingredients needed in the forging of Demon killing weapons and we'll let your team live." The demons eyes were pure black, revealing his true nature underneath. "Won't...won't give it to you." Dean muttered out of a dry mouth. "Well that's too bad, hell this wouldn't have been needed if you wouldn't have scratched the damn glyph off while I was introducing myself to you in the pyramid. But, we'll make you talk sooner or later my friend I promise. Perhaps the death of your friends will loosen your tounge a bit." Turning the demon poked his head out the window and said words that Dean knew would be burned into this brain for eternity. "Hold their insides into the air so Mr. Remington can see what they look like." As he stepped out and started to shut the door the demon, in the most sincere voice Dean had ever heard, said to him. "This all would've been avoided if you had just played ball Dean. Who knows our leader may have allowed you to leave here and live out the rest of your realms days playing house with that tasty tart Calil." As the door shut, Dean eyed the monitor to watch and see if his team could win out on the day. -

So far this is starting out every bit as good as I had hoped, though I've had a couple PM's about the "ingrediants". Basically this is something that will come into play sooner rather then later, and it's going to be everybodies first "quest". Now pretty much everybody that is tasked with finding one of these is going to be unable to do so without help. Instead of making this a "challenge" I'll go ahead and list who has an ingrediant, though it'll be up to you guys to pair up in order to gather them. Chibi-Wolfsbane KG-Blood Root Dawner-Morning dew from a desert tree Dragons Wolfie- Dirt from a zombies grave I think that was everything, I'll be helping one of you out with my new character myself. And speak of the devil... Name: Gabriel Age: 10 (looks to be about 30) Race: ??? Personality: Quick to anger and irritable, Gabriel doesn't care for the ones he aids. He typically thinks of them for weak for not being able to handle their problems on their own, but he is loyal to his cause and keeps his vows to see his master's orders through until the end...whatever it be. Weapons: Gabriel conceils massive chains coiled up on each arm. The chains are attached to Folding Scythes that are conceiled in his sleaves. -

Good first posts and good character sheets you two. Now as far as the ingrediants go. Not everybody got one, and there's a reason for that. Each ingrediant will present a challenge for the one holding it. Whether it be finding a location, handling the ingrediant, or collecting the ingrediant, none of it is easy. The challenge is going to be WHO is going to be able to help you. I'm going to be meeting up with one of you soon as my new character. I'll have his sheet posted tonight if possible.
