It seemed whatever had awakened inside Dean earlier had taken him over completly. Though this time, he was able to control the abilities he was endowed with. His sword with its blood red glowing runes rang out in an almost hypnotic mannger as it met with Holdren's "father" blade. The two were moving at a speed that seemed to Dean to be in slow motion, but he knew it to be the speed only vampires and certain other supernatural creatures ever attained. As Holdren wound up a massive blow, Dean dropped a leg back and braced for the impact. The resounding "crack" sound puzzeled Dean enough to make him pause. Holdren used the opportunity to land a rib cracking kick sending Dean sailing backwards. Rising Dean looked at his blade, and realized at once what the sound was. One of their blades gave way to the strain of the battle...and it wasn't Deans. Fortunetly, Holdren didn't seem to notice. "You see Dean, the son never surpasses the father. I've created you, and now I'm going to end you." Holdren hissed as he dashed towards Dean. Dean glanced around at his comrades, he saw Dawner had defeated Fabian. Turning back towards Holdren Dean rushed to meet him. "Holdren! Fathers create the next, stronger generation you bastard." Holdren raised his blade high into the air, dropping it right at Dean in a seemingly slow moving arc. Dean braced his leg and swung right for the diving blade. This time there was no sound, as if they were in a sort of vacum that allowed nothing to escape Dean watch everything. His blade found the weakened point on Holdren's and it cut through easily. As the blade continued, Dean didn't even see a change in Holdren's expression, it was as if he had stopped completly. The blade reached Holdren's neck, and just like the sword passed through without a sound. As Dean landed time started again, he turned to see Holdren's lifeless body laying unmoving on the ground. He saw Calil, already smiling and making her way towards him. He just started to smile himself when the black smoke shot from Holdren's lifeless body and slammed into him. Though it held the appeareance of being smoke, it contained an energy that hit him like a freight train sending him soaring into one of the large stone columns that was stone henge. The smoke settled in front of him and Holdren's laugh erupted from it. The laugh continued to a roar as Calil unloaded a shot from her pistol that sailed straight through the smoke. "Forget something their Deanie boy? You mortals are all the same...tsk tsk. I guess I'll just have to resort to crushing you all in my true form." The smoke flew into the air and landed right in the center of the group. The danger was made apparent as the very demons Holdren summoned to aid him, scattered in fear of what was coming. The smoke expanded and small explosions, like thunder in a cloud erupted inside. As the cloud increased the team had to jump back, the only activity was Dawner still fighting it out with Fabian, neither realizing what was transpiring behind them. As the cloud began to slowly fade away, a feeling of pure terror flew through Dean. Whatever was about to show itself was going to be the team's true test of everything they had...if they lost this the earth would be lost. To ease their wait, Holdren exploded out of the cloud straight at Wolfie, apparently trying to surprise him and get the dagger. The beast was everything Dean feard he would be. Like something out of an old myth, Holdren stood easily 15 feet tall and was as thick as the mightiest warrior. He moved with speed was so unexpectedly fast he was on Draco before the team could react. Dean feard he'd spear the Wolf with one of his two massive horns, or just crush him underfoot. Whatever was going to happen, this was a battle none of them would ever forget.

OOC: I'd already put my sign-up...up. I just edited my first post in the audition thread "Hmm...only an A.I. could see that my methods of taking my bounty down are excusable since the bounties themselves are deservent" Derrick chuckled to himself as he exited the tube into the hangar bay where his ship awaited him. He marveled at the sheer size of the structure as he appraoched his No.2 William, who was sitting on a chair along with several other of this crewmembers. Storming up Derrick kicked William out of his chair, "Why in the hell are you sitting here relaxing while there is work being done to MY ship. Now what if..." Derrick stopped as he heard the unique alarm going off in the weapons bay. "Damn..." Derrick sprinted up the ramp of the ship and in seconds was at the door to the weapons bay where I frustrated crewman was attempting to hack the controls. Laying one hand on his shoulder he whispered in the mans ear, "I suggest you stop where you are friend. If you wish to upgrade any software or external weapons such as the phasers you've already changed then I'm all for it. But the weapons of this ship are of my design and will only be accessed when I fully trust your commander. Now please, off with you." Escorting the crewmember off the ship Derrick made his way back to William. "Since it was your fault you're staying here and ensuring that nothing is changed physically to the ship. The rest of the crew is free to explore, though be mindfull we're guests of our new employer and to be courteous to any and all crewmembers. Everybody's comm. units are to stay online, and once everything is explained to me I'll pass it along to you. Everybody but William is dismissed!" As everybody filled out Derrick looked to the work being done on his baby..."Time to go check this place out"

A sudden crash alerted Derrick to the hangar he'd just left. Swinging around and bolting through the door he saw the new crewmember laying down, blood pooling around him. Rushing over to him, Derrick checked to see if he was still alive. Rolling him over the man was still breathing, though barely. "What happened here?" Derricks hand was on a small cylindrical object on his belt. "Thing...jump off pod. Attacked me..." The new guy coughed, sputtered in his own blood and died. Standing Derrick turned, looking down his ships small hangar, only 1 shuttle and 4 or 5 escape pods. It was then he noticed an extra object that seemed to be moving. Suddenly a barrage of laser fire erupted from the object. Derrick dodged and was able to evade, but barley. The object rushed in his direction at an insurmountable speed. Derrick planted a foot on the object and sprang into the air. Pulling out the object he was holding he pressed a button. The object extending from 1 ft to 6 feet long in only the blink of an eye. Pressing another button while still in mid-air an arc of energy erupted from the top making a scythe. Coming down Derrick hacked a large portion of the droid off. It turned swinging it's one remaining arm in his direction. Ducking, Derrick flipped another switch that shortened the handle and adjusted the energy beam vertically turning it into an energy sword. Spinning he hacked the rest of the droid into two pieces, dropping it to the floor unmoving. As Derrick placed his weapon back on his belt, a voice erupted from the mess of wires, circuts, and oil. "Congra...You passed...Meet...Wolfie...Falerious." the sparking voice finally gave out. "Sir, we located the coordinates we believe the droid is heading too. It's..." Derrick cut off William's transmission. "Falerious, it looks like we're to meet up with Wolfie. Keep a scan out for human vessels. I don't want to be near him if the earthlings finally locate him." "Oh and William...please destroy the pod. They killed one of ours and can pay to replace their own pod." ------------------------------------------------------ -5 hours later- "Sir I've located Wolfie's vessel, what are your order?" The bounty on Wolfie would most likely pay enough to allow Derrick to retire, but he didn't take contracts on good people. Only those who deserved it, plust money was never the reason he'd gotten into hunting in the first place. "Hail him, I'd like to know what he wants before we dock in his...wait is that his ship?" Derrick pointed to the near planet sized vessel in the distance. "Hell I hope he doesn't mind if we dock....theres plenty of room in that damn thing for a hundred ships this size."

I remember food in my old high school as being pretty decent, nothing to get excited about, but it was eatible. The one thing that did make me mad about it was when I hit my junior year (grade 11) they began purchasing a more economic friendly brand of chicken which was full of Grissle and other unidentifiable nasties. I went back just a few weeks ago to have lunch with my sister since her senior year is drawing to a close and it was my last chance to embarass the living hell out of her. I did have to say since the levy passed a few years ago the food has gone from decent to actually enjoyable. Heck I'd make it a daily destination if it were possible.

Gaming What games should I buy for the 360?
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Jabberwocky's topic in Noosphere
I'd really recommend your first RPG for the 360 being Enchanted Arms. It's an underdog for sure, but it was the first rpg out for the 360 and it was pretty good. Lost Odyseey was mentioned but I feel it deserves multiple, and as far as Last remnant goes it's good but gets monotonous. If you're going to be playing online the Call of Duty series is a blast. -
I've played the Silver Star Story, and i thought there was another one to come out but I could easily be mistaken. With the battle system, anime style cutscenes, and sheer storyline I was/am surprised this hasn't happened sooner. If they bring out one for the PSP I'll most likely finally break down and pick one up.

Last day of high school forever!!!
Drizzt Do'urden replied to xxxscenekidxxx's topic in General Discussion
Wish I would've went straight to college, instead I enlisted and have spent the past 6 years trying to get some college done between deployments. I'm finally getting out soon so I should be done deploying, but I've finally settled on a major and have began working on my structural engineering degree -
Well I actually did the same thing with a Pirates of the Caribean marathon a few months ago, lots've fun. When you get older your 'notions' of romance are changed a little, normally due to us guys being what we are... I think one of the best plans I've had, which I'm actually putting into motion in a couple weeks, is I've rented a cabin in celebration of my fiancee's College Graduation. It sits up on a lake with an enclosed balcony with a hottub(though I'm thouroughly confused on how the hot tub won't fog up the windows making the view sort've moot. I'm going to cook something...I'm thinking about a nice roast of some sorts. Or maybe just a simple pasta dish. That's about as Romantic as old Driz gets anymore...

Sandwiches, the best thing made WITH sliced bread
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Jabberwocky's topic in General Discussion
ahhh a sandwich thread; one of the neater ideas somebody has had of late... I tend to eat a lot of these, especially anything you can slap together quickly. Anymore i'm more partial to BLTs or something with veggies, so nothing wierd there. However I used to experiment with my peanut butter sandwiches when I was young, my particular favorites were: Peanut butter and Sugar, Peanut butter and Cinnamon, and the best of the rest Peanut butter and Honey, I never ate a lot of PB&J unless it was the stuff that was already mixed together...goober I think it's called. -
Hey today is yesterday's tomorrow so as promised my sign-up done tomorrow! Name: Derrick "D" Tigerclaw A.K.A. "The Demon" Race: Felician (Picture of a normal Felician man) Appearance: Derrick resembles a typical Felician, though with a few minor differences. His optical implants turned his eyes a blood red color, he is slightly larger then most. Derrick stands at 6'4 and weighs 210lbs. Which is a good deal larger then his counter parts. His hair is completly black, and he's burned his whiskers off so he can pass as a human when he wishes. Age: 60 (24 in human years) Birth planet: Felicus Orion Bio: Derrick was born to a military family on Felicus Orion. His father was a great general, his mother a colonel, both warring in distant galaxies leaving Derrick to grow up alone. At the age of 20 he was informed his parents were killed by raiders on their return trip home, he then vowed to get revenge on those that harmed his parents. He got his chance just a year later when he stowed away on the same raiders' vessel. Stalking out he slaughtered the entire 20 man crew with nothing but a pair of scythes. As it turned out those same raiders were wanted by the government of Felician Alpha, as such Derrick was rewarded with the raiders' vessle and enough money to begin hunting. The other thing Derrick recieved was a thirst for blood. Since he began hunting, all but 2 of his contracts have resulted in the brutal death of the mark and the mark's crew. History: Derrick grew up with a strong interest in architecture. Finding the design aspect too easy he took up structural engineering. He took that background to his hunting as he's learned the strength of materials, and structural abnormalities that most would never guess. He's also taken this engineering mindset into creating weapons for his crew, he specializes in making melee weapons with a perpetual energy system that allows them to stay energized for as long as the circuts remain intact. Personality: Derrick is, in a nutshell, a blood thirsty maniac. He strongly believes in the law, and believes any who violate it should be dealt with swiftly. The only people he believes deserve to exist are the good people who exist in the universe, and any bounty hunter with the kojones to do what needs done. This plays into the name he is known by around his galaxy "The Demon", Usual attire: Derricks nickname didn't come from his tactics and eyes alone. He perfers to enchance his appeal by wearing a suit of black leather making him seem all the more sinister. He has a silver Demon wolf with huge Red wings tatooed on his back. Though Felicians and "Wolf Peoople" tend to not get along, he says he respects the tactics, brutality, and overall demonic aire that wild wolves convey. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- "Captain, we are closing in on the enemy vessel. They seem to refuse to drop their shields and accept our hail." Derricks number 2 William called from his station. "Are we certain this is O'leary's vessel?" Derrick had been chasin Jack O'leary for a week now. He was a human raider who escaped from other bounty hunters, a challenge is what Derrick enjoyed most. "Yes Captain, we caught a transmission just a few moments ago. What are your orders?" William started arming the proton torpedo before Derrick said a word. "Eck, humans and their lack of attention to detail. Aim just below the rear thruster and tell the men to stand down. This things over." Derrick smiled as he watched the brilliant sheen of the torpedo as it skyrocketed towards its target. His smile only grew bigger when the torpedo struck the area right on target. The torpedo, of Derrick's design, slipped in through the weak area of the shield and detonated the rear thruster. Instantly disrupting the ships reactor core and detonating it within seconds. Closing his eyes, Derrick thought of the look on O'Leary's face when the torpedo slipped inside his shields. Derrick was the one who came up with the new torpedo design, and as of now nobody else had even heard of something like that. "Sir...an unmanned droid pod is hailing us to dock. Do you want it destoryed or allow it permission?" "I doubt O'Leary would've been smart enough to arm a droid and use it against us. Go ahead and give its persmission, and go ahead and send a message back to Felicus Alpha and let them know that O'Leary is done so I'm expecting payment by the end of the day." Derrick stood and exited the room towards the hanger bay. The droid ship was already checked by his men by the time he arrived, the message already downloaded. "Sir, it appears to be a message from a Alphatan Odtotio Walfenken requesting you...and a few other hunters to meet him at a destination encoded into this droids system...the only problem is we need to dock to get a new core." "How long have you worked for me?" Derrick starred the new crew member down. "Just a month sir, why do you ask?" Derrick pushed the crew member to the ground, walked to the droid, and began tinkering with it. "There, circuts reconnected, that goes there...and...done." The droid ship began humming ever so slightly. "Listen, if you want to continue working for me put a grappling beam on this droid as soon as it exits. We'll let it tow us until we can determine where it's heading is." Leaving the room Derrick closed his eyes..."What is this all about?"

Jason knew of three bars frequented by Nottingham goons. The most obvious choice was Latrine's Canteen, only the darkest, meanest, most sinister of Nottingham's muscle visited this establishment. Entering the bar, the tired old crow of a bar tender shot Jason a look that screamed "If you'll only give me the time of day I'll show you the best time of your life." Unfortunetly for her, Jason was faithful to his wife and he had a problem with...homley woman. As he scanned the bar he saw his mark. A group of three Nottingham guards were seated at a table, laughing, joking and drinking, on a second look it seemed like they were the only three, besides Jason, present at the moment. "Like taking candy from a baby" He smiled as he took a seat. "Who the blazes are you eh?" The largest of the three, who was just about Jason's size, asked poking a finger into Jason's chest. "Just a solo gent looking for a card game and a friendly ear." Jason turned on the charm as best he could, unfortunetly he wasn't blessed with Rob's charisma. "Game's full, why don't you get to walking" a smaller, weasely looking one growled placing a handgun on the table pointing at Jason. "Suit yourself, but I was going to offer to buy a round for all friendly faces at this table." He smiled to himself as the mood quickly shifted. "Ahh Latrine, this man wants to buy all our drinks for the rest of the night! 4 pints of Guiness, and keep umm coming." The large man of the group called, a cheery tone in his voice. ------------------------------------------------------ After a couple hours passed Jason started slipping in the questions. "So I assume you work for Nottingham eh?" All questions were answered in just about the same way. "Sorry, not allowed to divulge any information." The weasely man tapped his nose as he said this. "Wow, great gig. So I hear that there are quite a few banks owned by the Nottingham corp. It'd be easy to do a lot of dirty, sneaky things with tax payer money." Apparently the big man turned out to be the brains after all and kicked Jason's chair out from under him, sprawing him to the floor. "Grab him" His gruff voice boombed. The two others grabbed Jason under the arms and began dragging him towards the rear door, the alleyway, the same alleyway Jason was already parked in. As they tossed him outside, the big man took his jacket off and squared off with Jason while the others drew their pistols and pointed. "Damned if I do, damned if I don't eh boss?" Without a word the big man swung. Sidestepping him easily Jason planted a knee in his stomach the wind escaping from his lungs in an instant. Then grabbing his throat as not to let any air in he pushed the man in front before either other could squeeze a shot off. Flining the man into the smallest of the bunch, Jason used the surprise to hammer down on the arm of the other guard knocking the gun from his hand. As he turned he slammed his elbow into his chin, dropping him to the ground. Then he was on the smallest one before he could recover from the big man being thrust at him. Grabbing the pistol he wrenched it out of the small mans hands, a single kick to the chest droped him to the ground. "Just wanted to have a couple pints with you fellows, get the information I wanted and get out. But of course it couldn't be that way." Taking a silencer out of his coat pocket he quickly screwed it onto the pistol. Before he could finish the big man regained his composure and was rushing Jason. "Common now, there's a reason you guys are at the bottom of the barrel." The man didn't slow a step. Jason drew back, slamming a fist into his face with such force the man hit the ground before his teeth did. Pointing the silencer equiped pistol at the big man he grabbed him by the shirt. "Okay, so is it true all banks that run along the river Thames are owned by Nottingham and used for laundering?" The big man wouldn't even look at him. With a silent crack the bullet ejected from the pistol cut cleanly through the mans knee cap, sending him screaming to the ground. Walking to the smallest man Jason waved the pistol. "You same question?" The one Jason originally thought the brains, turned out he had some. "Yes, all those banks are owned and used by Nottingham." "Very good my friend, now question number two. How many guards are posted at each?" Again a quick reply. "4 visible and 6 that are stationed in the vault. There's a secret passage in every vault...now please leave me alone." Jason stoppd pointing the gun at the man to show good faith, "Last question, does Nottingham station his secret police force?" The man looked at him with disdain, "So you are a terrorist, looking to wipe out the secret police eh? Too bad I won't tell you." Yet again the silencer did it's job as the bullet left the chamber in utter silence, burrying itself in the man's elbow. With a sense of urgency he went to the previously silent man who was already crying, and Jason was relatively certain he'd wet himself. "Okay, same question. Give me some locations on the secret police headquarters." The man looked at Jason, crying harder then when he approached him. "I only know of one of them. It's on the corner of King James and 13th street. It's disguised as a bakery, but the freezer has a weapons cache in a secret compartment, and the guards are posted in the basement. I can't tell you for certain how many guards are posted." Jason took his silencer off, ejected the magazine and the one round and started walking off. As he walked away the big man regained some composure, "I won't forget your face. I will find you!" Jason turned, drew out a dagger he'd been carrying and buried it in the mans hand with such force it pinned him to the sidewalk. "You remember being jumped by a gang who stole your wallets right? I'd hate to see what the hire ups would do if their "super" soldiers were bested by a single man who came with no gun. I figure I'd see you on a missing persons flyer in a few months." Jason began walking away again when the man with a bladder control problem spoke up. "But you didn't take out wall..." Jason held up three leather wallets as he climbed into his truck parked on the otherside of the alley. "I'm sure you guys have some nice bank rolls in here. Think of it as giving back to your community." Jason laughed as he opened his phone to call Scarlet he had to relay the info about the weapons cache before heading on to the next bar.

Discuss Adventure of Space Bounty Hunters: Backstage
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Draco's topic in Theater
It sounds like you've combined three things together that will really play off one another, you can count me in. -
'Noob' could be the millionth English word
Drizzt Do'urden replied to Gavin's topic in General Discussion
Examples being something like "Fubar" on Left4Dead (********* up beyond all reason). I mean noob is a very common word used with gaming and normal life. I don't see this as bad, maybe just an advancement?
Fubar actually came about during WWII... *Stares at the rainbow* The more you know -
Awesome idea Delarge...well as long as we stay away from any Mel Brookishness. Sorry about the length of my snippet, the Little John vs. Robin fight is my favorite. So my snipped is a novel, you've been warned. Name: Jason Little (I know it's close to the original, but when it ain't broke) Age: 32 (Hope that's an appropriate age) Appearance: I'm going to have an image drawn for this, but here's a description. Jason keeps his dark brown hair cut in the high and tight he supported during his military days. His ice blue eyes seem to shine in his rugged, 5'oclok shadowed face. His frame is imposing, he stands 6'4 and weighs just over 240lbs. Personality: Slow to take orders from anybody until he grows to trust them. Can be arrogant on occasion, but is usually humble. Has a good sense of humor that usually comes out as teasing the other members of the group. Belives in Robert's cause and will do anything in his power to aid him, as long as it doesn't put his family in jeopardy. Affiliation: Hood's gang Writing Snippet: Jason stood in the middle of the bridge as the car pulled to a stop. Since the sheriff took over Jason had been charging a "toll" for those vehicles using the one lane bridge close to his house. Holding the shotgun poised at the oncoming vehicle Jason tensed up, he hated this part. He never wanted the life of a bandit, but his family was important to him, and since the plant closed down where he was employeed, he had no choice. Stepping out was a younger man with a look in his eye, arrogance incarnate. "Why aren't you a large man?" The man said of Jason's 6'4 frame. Jason eyed the young man top to bottom. "Toll for crossing the bridge is 50pounds per person." Not another word, Jason had dealt with these types before, young bucks who thought they knew everything. "That's a little steep, the Sheriff's bridge up river only runs you 30 per car." The young man still had that look in his eye, it was starting to aggrevate Jason. "My experience, the only people who skip the bridge are those who are trying to avoid the sheriff's men because they're wanted, or cheapskates skipping the toll. Eitherway I put some buckshot in you, call the authorities and get a reward for some con." Not skipping the beat the man smiled ernestly, "Friend, what if I could offer you the chance to...give back to your community? Maybe earn some money, and help bring back the prosperity Richard King sought out for everyone?" Every alarm in Jason's head went off. If this guy was a player and was in with King, then the rewards could be great and he could take care of his family for good. However, if he was just a petty thug and had beef with the Sheriff then things could and most likely would go downhill quickly. "Tell you what friend, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Robert Locksley, and you are?" Never before had he given his name to one of these types of people, and why would he? He was sure this guy was trying to take the sheriff down, the question was did he have what was required? Jason walked to the side of the road and grabbed a pair of bo staffs he had stashed incase his gun jammed. Tossing one to Robert he squared off. "If you manage to best me, I'm in. If not, you're just a petty thug and I'll be notifying the authoritis." "Common friend, at least give me your name." Jason smiled, whether or not this kid was for real about all this or not, he couldn't deny he liked him. Liked him so much he hated him, "Jason, Jason Smalls" without another word Jason lunged. Though Robert was fast enough to block, the force of the blow staggered him a bit. Showing his own skill though he quickly regained footing and swung back, Jason parried easily. This went on for a few moments, until Robert made a mistake and tried a feinting blow. Catching on quickly Jason switched his hold and thrusted into Robert's stomach, catching his wind. Spinning he took his legs out, and finally Jason planted a kick in Robert's chest sending him into the river, which was raging due to the recent rains. As he disappeared from sight Jason walked to the edge, peered down and attempted to find the man. If he killed him it would be on his conscious, but he got his answer. As he turned away, his eyes grew wide. Standing on top of the bridge was Robert, apparently he'd caught the bridge and swam underneath. Without a word Robert slammed his staff into Jason's foot with almost enough force to break bones, on one foot Jason had no footing to protect himself from the drop kick landed in his chest. Stumbling backwards Jason lost all balance and began falling. Immesurably quick though Robert caught him by the hand and, while not giving him enough support to rise, suspended Jason's fall. "So, may I have your help my new friend?" Jason had a thing about water, and in the panic yelled "Yes, yes I'll help you damnit." With that, Jason became the first member of Robert's band. Weapons: Jason perfers larger ordinance when it comes to weaponry, favoring Shotguns and larger machine guns when available. When it all comes down to it though, he prefers hand to hand combat. Using his large stature to his advantage. Special Skills: Jason brings many things to the table. His size acts as an intimidation factor, his ability to use his size gives him great skill in altercations. His experience, however, is the real skill he brings to the table. Being an ex-military man, Jason learned a lot about covert oops as well as his favorite skill, demolitions. This is a great idea DeLarge, let me know if I need to fix anything.

Deam tried fighting the thirst that grew in him. It was the first time in years he'd felt it, and it both excited and sickened him. "Dean...please" Calil couldn't take much more, but the thrist was overpowering Dean. Suddenly he could here Sile's voice "Dean, you must stop."...and he did. Raising to his feet Dean let out a roar that surprised him enough to cut it off. Something had changed in him. Between losing Sile's blood and gaining Calil's something was set loose inside him, and now, thanks to Calil, he could control it. "Thank you Calil...now do you think you can still fight?" She nodded shakily drawing her gun out again. "Let's finish this." A group of demons was surrounding Draco, all searching for the dagger. "Karyn, Anya!" He yelled, "keep that dagger away from those demons." He turned to Calil. "Let's do this." He embraced her and softly kissed her on her forehead, "we have so much more waiting for us. I promise we'll have plenty of time to find it." Dean turned and charged straight at Holdren. The man's eyes glew a sick fire red color. "Time for the master to teach the student his place eh Dean?" Holdren closed his eyes, brewing up a psychic attack. The crack of Calil's gun didn't phase Dean, though the bullet taking a chunk of skull apparently surprised Holdren. Leaping Dean drew his blade and slashed down, Holdren side stepped at the last second and landed a kick that sent Dean back a couple feet. By the time Dean recovered and lunged again, Holdren had his blade readied. The two clashed blades pressing faces close together. "Take a good look at this blade Dean, it's the blade from which yours and Malachai's was created. Just like your blade, you're my creation, and as such I have the power to destroy you." "You've never held that power Holdren. You lost anychance of using me once you showed me Sile's kindness, Draco's gentleness, Karyn's innocence, Dunan and Anya's fearlessness, Dawner's passion, and Calil's love. You will die now!" Dean's blade glew again with the runes inscribed on it as he thought of all his friends and allies. Kicking Holdren he rushed right in, a new wind given to him by the thought of his friends, the one who've been there for him. The one's who taught him so much, the one's who made him forget his past. This would be the end of Holdren, Dean knew it....

Well I figured Katherine had to be involved somehow, I never imagined in a million years she would be the girls sister. I was worried you'd abandoned this Vicky, and quite relieved to see you post another chapter. Rushed or not this was a good one...

I was considering going to watch this either tomorrow or Friday. Has anybody seen this, or has anybody heard anything about it. I know it's supposed to be awesome from an animation perspective, and the storyline intrigues me. Us being the aliens is a nice twist, just as long as we're cool bad@** aliens.

For my new RP Assassin's Code I'd like somebody to make me a banner. I'd like it to depict an assassin (yes the one from assassin's creed is okay if you don't have anything else) standing above a city. I'd like the words Assassin's Code written in red. I would REALLY appreciate it, and of course I make sure to give credit to those who help. Thanks -Drizz

The Code of Assassins The simple rules we have always lived by, well that was until a year ago. The code is a list of rules that govern the 3 "dens". It was simple to live by it eliminated competition, and allowed the 3 dens to live in harmony. It would probably just be easier if I give you the rules stated: 1. No assassin is permitted to cross into the territory of another without permission, even on personal business. 2. No contracts are allowed to cross borders without paying a fee of 1/4 the contract fee to the ruling den. 3. No combat between members of different dens, excluding the annual "showcase tournament" held every year. In this case though all combat is to be done with non-lethal ordinance. 4. If assassins find themselves in the neutral zone on personal business they are permitted to speak, as long as it does not involve den business. 5. If assassins find themselves on the same contract in the neutral zone, they are to immediately abort contract and the dens involved are to work together to investigate and terminate the employer for violating contract terms. 6. If an assassin leaves his/her den, they are not permitted to join another den. They're infact not permitted anywhere outside the neutral zone on penalty of death. 7. Any assassin that finds an ex member of any den will be tasked with swiftly ending that person(s) life regardless of situation. 8. Two assassins, from different dens, will not be permitted to be involved intimately. Unless they leave their respective dens and stay inside the neutral zone. 9. If fraternization is suspected, it must be reported to the den master at once and investigated by the den master himself. 10. In the event a den violates the boundaries it has been assigned by this treaty, the other houses must act and remove the afformentioned house's den master from service. That was it, 10 rules that governd the assassin society. For over 500 years the 3 houses have lived in relative peace. Never before has the charter been violated, that is until a year ago. 3 rouge assassins left their dens to start lives in the "neutral" zone. A small area between all the territories. They quickly joined forces and attempted to start their own den inside the neutral zone. Needless to say they were quickly smashed, but the problem was they were killed in such a way they couldn't be identified. Each den suspeced the others of the treachery. Obviously they tensions grew and grew until one day it was too much and everybody snapped. There was war, contract violations, so many deaths over the course of the past year. That's where I came in. Two other assassins in two other dens took over our dens and established a relative peace. However, I'm quickly growing to suspect treason. I don't want war to break out, but I keep getting reports of contract hits already dying before we arrive. Reports of unknown figures inside our boundaries. Supposedly the other Dens are experiencing the same problems, but I'll just chalk it up to the fact that...well the fact that I'm violating the boundaries too. Fair is fair afterall... Okay that's the premise for our story. Everybody will be an assasin, and 2 people, besides myself, will be the den masters. Each den will be named after the last name of their master. I will be choosing the masters out of ther perspective sign-ups. Everybody else will be divide up into their dens by me. If for some reason we don't get very many people interested, we'll split into two dens. What we will be starting out as is fufilling contracts that I assign by PM. I'll be giving the masters contracts and they will be dividing them between their subordinates. Since I want to keep the...treachery afoot I will be double booking targets (I'll let those involved know by PM who will arrive too late, and who will be making the kill). This is supposed to be fun, so the methods of killing each mark will be given, but the carrying out will be completly up to you. Such as... ___________ In Valkrie (not a real name I'm using) slums, a merchant named Balise needs to die. I want to send a message so make sure it's done in public during his noon walk in the town square. This will be a premise, some will be a little more detailed but this will be the most general. As I said some will also be followed by... (Arrive after the deed has been done, be carefull the city watch is on the lookout) or (You will be invading another den's territory, make sure you kill quickly and avoid being seen) or (You arrive as another is killing the man. You tail him until he crosses the border of ________'s territory) There will be down time for "socializing" between people, and even if your bestest friend in the world as been put in a rival den (I wouldn't do that now would I?) you can visit in the neutral zone. Just keep the talk about den activities down, you wouldn't want somebody reporting you would you? Okay Sign-ups Are you interested in becoming a den master? (Yes or No) Name: Age: Gender: Appearance: (Picture or GOOD description) Favored weapons:(Sometimes you will be given certain weapons to use) Personality: Biography: (How you came to become an assassin, was it because of a traumatic experience, found and raised by your den, just like killing...etc?...If you stated that you were interested in becoming a den master how/why did you finish off your old master. Power hungary? Wanted peace within the dens? Just an ass?) I'd like to get this started relatively quick, unless I change my mind we'll get started around...May 16th. Don't wait too long to sign-up if we get a lot interested we'll start earlier, though sign-ups will continue for awhile. Since there will be a lot of PM's in this, please only sign-up if you can give 2-3 posts a week. If you have something coming up (summer vacation, finals, or just something that'll keep you away) let me know before hand so I can give the contracts to others. Den masters should be those who are relatively sure they don't have anything going on. Of course nobody is actually sure, but if a den master takes a vacation they will be replaced until they return, also if a den master isn't active for two weeks without letting me know they will be replaced and a hit on their characters (by guess who?) This is meant to be a fun RP so if you take yourself seriously don't apply.

Dean breathed the biggest sigh of relief when he saw Calil exit the poison cloud. He'd thought for sure she would've opened the gates by now, instead though she'd fought off the hold Fabian had over her...well at least for a few moments. He'd been dodging her every move with relative ease, that is until he backed himself up to the poison cloud. "That's right Calil, finish him!" "That's enough!" Dunan cried as he came out of nowhere slamming into Fabian sending him sailing head over heels onto the ground. "Dunan!" Dawner smiled as Dunan got to his feet, it was short lived though as a mental blast from Fabian sent him to Dawners feet a small cry of pain came from his lips. "Dean, get the dagger from Calil. If she doesn't have it she can't open the gates!" "Of course, if I can just get it" That was going to prove harder then it sounded though. Dean may have been faster, but that was when Calil was partially in control. Her moves slowed by her second thoughts, when he went on the offensive it triggered whatever Fabian was pumping into her. Her moves matched him step by step, Dean thought for a moment she seemed untouchable. He glanced around to find some help, but frowned when he saw everybody else engaged in their own battles. Dunan and Dawner fighting Fabian; Anya, Draco, and Karyn were now fighting off those flying demons. Then an idea came to Dean. He sheathed his sword and held his hands out to Calil. "Calil, I know you're stronger then this. It's why I fell for you." He moved slowly towards Calil who seemed to be run by pure animal instincs, she acted cornered and figity. Dean just hoped she didn't lose herself and run into the poison. "Please, Calil come to me. We can end this now." Dean was now within reach. He didn't even look at the dagger, he knew if he did she'd think he was going to try and take it. He reached Calil and embraced her. For a moment she held him back...That was when Dean felt the sting in his side. Looking down the dagger was embedded in his side... Dean collapsed to his knees. It was then he heard the voice. "Thank you so much Dean Remington, though I had hoped you would've lived through this. You see I knew you and your team were as weak as mortals everywhere. Ahh so gulible. The daggers power has spilled into you, and once Calil realizes the prophecy will be fufilled. "The Gates will awaken when the blood of a true love is spilled with Michael's dagger." I'd thought for sure that it would've been Dawner who killed that vampire lover of his, but it turns out his being sired worked in your favor not ours." Dean looked into Calil's eyes, she'd been given back her mind and the look on her face broke Dean's heart. He glanced over to the poison cloud that had lifted and in the center of stonehenge erupted a firey wall with a single simple looking door on it. The keyhole was shaped like the dagger in his side... "Calil..get..the..d...d" Suddenly it ripped from his side and flew across the field into Holdren's waiting grasp. Dean looked to Calil, the look on his face was that of somebody who had failed...just as he had done. "Get...the..d..d..ager...I....L..." Dean collapsed, the blood pouring from his wound. It was over...for him it was over... --------------------------------------------------- Dean lie there moitonless as Calil cried out. Holdren turned towards the gate and began walking to it. "Calil, gather yourself we have to stop him." Draco called out has he and the others broke in a run. Only to be intercepted by the remaining demons and Fabian. The final battle is upon us. The 5 of you against Fabian and 6 demons. Time is of the essence though, Holdren is making his way towards the gate with the key to the end of the world...

I've been having a pretty heated debate with a friend of mine Regarding this game. I actually went out and bought it, yes purchased not rented, because my friend swore up in down it was sent down from the heavens to be shared with the mortals. Upon purchasing it I've found I'm kind've indifferent. I guess it's a neat concept but it's not without it's flaws. For instance
Guards will spot you when you're told you're completly conceiled. [\spoiler] That's just one of my beefs with it, I'd like to hear if I'm in the minority and it is truley the amazing game I was lead to beleive it was, or whether it really is an "ehhh" game.
-
I rented it because the only other Tales game I've played is Tales of Symphonia, which for some reason (I can't recall his name) the kid that weilds the hammer, reminds me of Lloyd in many ways... I agree whole heartidly when it comes to Estelle, her ignorance is my bliss. You stated the exact reason I choose to rent it, due to school. I made it about 8 hrs into it and if it wasn't for the due date would've probably pumped about 48 hrs into the game and 0 on school. I'm going to pick it back up over the summer *whimpers*

I haven't seen it yet, but just to comment on the "I'm a badass" comment. That's how wolverine was in the original comics, I know they don't reallly depict him that way in ANY of the movies, and I'm sure this is no different, but I'm going to go check it out tonight or tomorrow I'm not for sure which one.

I'm currently crazy about Nuttin but Stringz. If you have a chance look them up on Youtube (yes I know I could post a link here but I don't have a lot of time and...well that's all I got.) Just for anybody who doesn't know them they're a violinist duo that infuses hip-hop into their music.

Awesome, right?:animesmil !:animecry:
Sadly, as in the number ofyears ago it was, I remember my 8th grade trip to D.C. We had two twin beds an 4 teeanage boys...One ended up on each bed, I ended up putting two chairs together, and our last roomate slept in the bathtub for two nights....
