Ahh, i love Bobobobo lol. Randomness is funny to me though so maybe that's it. I couldn't personally stand Vampire Hunter D (can't honestly remember which one i watched). Gak. Will never be watching that again.
It was the original...trust me.
"Tsuyoki omoi tsuyoi chikara Itte oku kanarai tsuyoki sa!"
Uh what does that mean?

Right now I am listening to Smooth Criminal (covered) by Alien Ant Farm. This brings me back. This is from the first cd I EVER bought.

Cmon guys let's listen to Indifference this time... This ******** is why Jake left... Flood-Tool Man I love this song. The first couple of minutes that build it up are crucial to the end part that makes this song a masterpiece.

I am gone for one day and this thread goes back into the shitter. Anyway I am listening to Lou Rawls Groovy People. A very funky awesome song.

Just go up to her and say "Hey stop being such a goddamn douchebag all the time." If that doesn't work I will go down there and tell her. That will definitely work. Because if random Internet guy thinks you are being a douche then you are being a douche.
Genres are so lame, you guys. I don't see how it's possible to classify every band you listen to perfectly, because I seriously doubt each band will fit all the genre criteria exactly how it should (according to whom, anyway?). Really, it just seems like such a waste of time to try to put your music into a bunch of different categories, and then get into little tiffs when someone disagrees with what you think. It's not important, in the long run. Music should be enjoyed as it is, without the bells and whistles of post-whatever-core and the like.
I said something to that effect before and I am pretty sure I got laughed at. Or yelled at. Forgot which. Anyway I was getting sick of hard music so I decided to listen to Porcupine Tree Dark Matter to be precise. Very awesome and very calming.

@Goodbye Face Bravo! @Prem If you liked the original "Pour some Sugar on me" don't listen to this. I've been listening to Ion Dissonance. As of now I am listening to kneel from them. Surprisingly I like these vocals. Usually a band with vocals like this would immediately turn me off to them. I also like the guitars rather spastic sound. It sounds really random at first but then it comes together to a good melody.

*Sigh* Not this ******** again... Anyway before I went to sleep last night I listened to more Dog Fashion Disco. This time Pink Riots and Pour Some Urine on Me. These are probably my favorite songs from them at the moment. I also listened to Worm in A Dogs Heart which was the first song from them and it is incredibly awesome. Mann if you haven't heard all of these you should listen to them.
I wish Jake was back.
Err I think that post would make Jake very very angry...I'm pretty sure he dislikes greatly all genres that end in core. Many a feelings would be hurt... 40 Below Summer-Rejection Man I like this. I like the bass especially. Really smooth and sexy. Oh and face I am stealing that picture.

Anime Big Lots store has Anime for $3 a pop.
Panache replied to onenuttytanuki's topic in Otaku Central
Is Big Lots a regional chain? I don't think I've ever seen one (I'm on the East Coast), although I've heard things about them carrying cheap anime from time to time in the past. ~Dagger~
I see commercials for it where I live but I have never actually seen one. It would be odd for something on the west coast or Midwest to advertise here on the east coast. Maybe I am just not looking hard enough to find one.
Amen! It's anime for us poor people! Seriously, do you know how awesome it feel's buying anime for $3? It is orgasmic. I mean, think about it, your buying a anime dvd for the price of an energy drink. It's just too good of a deal to pass up, at least for me anyway's.
Damn you for being right and me being unable to go there! -
edit: Well, I noticed Panache talking about Dog Fashion Disco alot... So I decided to give them a try.... They're really good. I figured they'd be a metalcore band at first, but what I got was a great avant-garde band, which I like... So I now know where Panache's Custom title is from, and I'd like to congrat him, on having cool musical interests. Bam Blam Thank You Ma'ame.
SOMEONE FINALLY LISTENED TO ME!!! HOLY ****!!! This requires a small personal celebration for me. So as of now I am listening to Pink Riots by Dog Fashion Disco This song I just downloaded from itunes recently. I must say it is a very sexy song. His voice make it seem apocalyptic yet in the background there is a sort of carnival like sound which makes for a very odd experience.

Seems convenient. To bad I don't have a big lots near me. -
I wouldn't consider Outlaw Star a classic, thought it's great, I don't think it's old enough or has had anime "decent" from the idea of Outlaw Star. Still a good show.
I dunno I don't think age plays a small role in an anime being a classic. I consider Spirited Away a classic and it's younger than Outlaw Star. Still though I agree it isn't a classic. I didn't really break new ground or anything. It had a simple plot and was paced like some shows before it. It was a decent show in my opinion but I would say it's far from classic.

Jesu-Lifeline-Ep Wow I really like these guys. They are sort of like a mix between Oceansizes vocals and sync work and swallow the suns guitar. These guy's kick ***.

After Jake told me that he thought I was listening to mathcore for the wrong reasons I really had a desire to listen to more mathcore. Then I realized...I don't exactly know what mathcore sounds like. So basically I am asking... Is Ion Dissonance and Sikth Mathcore? Because I have been listening to them...
-
So I've Been listening to Electric Wizards Devils Bride for a while. After a bit it gets really depressing but the song itself is great. EW is probably my favorite metal band as of now. I've also been listening to Pour Some Urine On Me from Dog Fashion Disco. I thought it would mock the craptastic Pour Some Sugar On Me but it didn't. It was a really good song though.
-
Every time I try to listen to this I find some other better mathcore/hardcore band to listen to and skip it entirely. Everything I have heard from bfmv has been mediocre but I wouldn't call any of it straight bad except for maybe a few songs.
I've heard hte single Scream, Aim, Fire, and to be honest, I was surprised. At first I didn't know it was them.
It seems to me that you like them and are to scared to admit it so you can continue to say all metal core sucks.

For future references Anime is singular and plural...in other words animes isn't a word.
Besides giving just 1 classic, how about for each genre. So give me your opinion of a classic anime in comedy, action, romance, etc.
Well breaking talking about a classic for every single genre would be an epic pain in the *** so I will just do the ones you mentioned. Comedy Lupin the third is a classic. I have only seen a very little bit but Lupin as a character is snide witty and clever. Plus for the most part his side characters are very funny too. I suppose this could count as action too but I will save classic action for... Action Ninja Scroll is a classic. Uber violent+Uber Sexy=win. This was my first Anime movie ever(after digimon)and boy was it a whopper. Cool characters and awesome action scenes made this movie what it is. It was simple fun and action packed. A great Friday night movie to watch with the boys. Romance In my Opinion Kare Kano is THE classic romance of the twentieth century. Sure it had ****** animation but the characters interactions and storyline was just so damn good. Definitely a classic.
I knew I forgot to list something. Panache, I've seen Akira, and didn't care much for it. Don't ask, I just couldn't get into it. And I've been wondering if Twelve Kingdoms was worth looking into? "Edit list"
Well I liked Akira but I can see where someone might not. Oh and I haven't seen it but I thought twelve Kingdom was a Drama...
-
You need to watch Akira...Nao! It's probably my favorite action movie period. It's action packed and has a really good storyline. Also if you liked Ninja Scroll you will really like Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust(I doubt you will like the original though). It's made by the same guy and the animation is MUCH nicer. You also might like Highlander. Is basically a super manly action flick but it's still really good. The story is sorta cliche but the animation and action are just so awesome... Yea as far as action goes I think movies are the best choice. Usually short sweet and have high quality animation.

I listened to 3 Libras just now by A Perfect Circle. It gets really intense and sort of angry yet sorrowful. It's really amazing when he just starts saying "You don't see me." Oh yea and Castle made of Sand by Jimi Hendrix is really bittersweet for me. Sure he talks about really sad events but the way he tells the story kinda makes it seem like there's some hope.

Anime What Classic Books wouldn't you mind seeing an Anime version of?
Panache replied to onenuttytanuki's topic in Otaku Central
They made Tom Sawyer into an Anime, by the way. I pretty much die a little inside every time I come across a clip.
Please tell me they played the rush song to go with it.
I kind of preferred the Howl's Moving Castle anime movie to the book, though...
I never read the book and I thought it was pretty much equal to any other Miyazaki flick except the animation was bumped up a tad.
Speaking of maturity....
It's Overrated :)
But no, dude. Playing outside is awesome. I don't know what your deal is. I mean, at that age I remember being given the choice between television and outside, and I usually went and played around the fig tree, or dug somewhere. (It was supposed to be to China, but I was using a dinner spoon. )
Fake sword fights with sticks=awesome.
