The only word I say weirdly, is, when I'm counting fast, I'll say fity instead of "fifty". So It'll be Fity-one, fity-two, fity-three, etc. Piro, I do the same thing with my swear words. But, to me, they sound like they've got a Texan accent. Sage was talking about Finnish, he lives in Finland(and watches Digimon in German, but that's another story). I live in Jersey, so no one like our accents. When someone who's not from out area comes over here, they can't tell the diff. in the accent between someone who's from Jersey City, Paterson, and NYC. It's all the same to them. We say things weirdly, like our is "r". It's r's! (heheh) I think "Bahston" accents are funny. My aunt lives in MA, and her accent is so funny! "Did you pahk the cah?" Also, when I was at camp, most, if not all, the counselors were from other countries. A lot of them were from Australia, and one said they didn't like our American accents. She said we were strange on some of the pronunciations. I'm sure F_F, Liamc, James, and anyone else form Australia can tell me that they say "herb" with the "H" on it, while we say it as "erb". The counselor that said that to me told me: "There's an 'H'. Use it!" Although, I think the best accents are English and Scottish. Sean Biggerstaff's accent is so sexy!

Wonky? Oooo. What a perdily funny word! Wonky! Wonky! Wonky! *dances around saying Wonky in a singsong way* Wait... What does wonky mean? Don't mind me. I'm drunk on an apple juice juice box, and chewing on the straw. NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. hehehehe. Breath in, and Breath out. *Trails off heavily breathing, and chewing her straw at the same time* -
1) Do you speak Japanese fluently? No. 2) Have you taken a class in Japanese? If so, how many? No. 3) Have you bought a book related to learning Japanese? If so, how many? No, but I borrowed one form a friend once, if that counts. :p 4) Can you count how many Japanese words you know? If so, how many? Gawd no. I know a lot, but they're all either swear words or animals. I just know those words because I use a Japanese-English translation dictionary to look up words I can use as Digimon names. 5) Do you know hiragana and katakana? WHAT? 6) About how many kanji do you know?Um... none, but I think I know what it is. Think, would be the key word there. 7) Do you have any friends or relatives that speak fluent Japanese? Nope. My mom speaks Cantonese and my father speaks Thai and Mandarin, if that counts for anything. 8) Do you WANT to learn Japanese? DESPARATELY. When I pick a college to go to, I'm only pickin' ones that have Japanese courses

I really like the color blue in my wardrobe, and last year, I had no blue colored shirts, and no money(well, not enough to buy a lot of clothes). I nevner went shopping with my mom ebcause i ahd a million shirts and she wouldn't let me get ny mroe. So I was all blue-less. Then, this year, I bought blue shirts(I only bought two three, and then there were two, one I don't wear, that I already had), and my mom totally freaked on me. She said: "Why is all your clothing blue? Why don't you wear some different colors?" Uh.. maybe I like blue? And I only had three blue shirts! Well, I bought a red shirt(only cuz my mom made me), and it actually looks pretty good on me(about a sixth of the school population told me they liked it). She finally stopped bugging me about it. It was similar to Lady Katana's situation I think, back on page one, or two. oy. Well, I'm in middle school, and if any of you are in it, or ahve been, you always want to fit in with everyone else. So, basically, I'm not really that different in clothing. Some things, thought, I refuse to wear, like those 60's shirts with big horizontal stripes on them, or pinstriped capris, or very flowery capris, and finding pants are impossible, because EVERYTHING in my age group is low rise, and I HATE low rise. And even though I'm wearing what everyone else is, I don't buy shirts that are $80, just because is abercrombie. Who cares? This is a bit off topic, but my body is really skinny(naturally, no I do not have an eating disorder, thank you very much), and I'm thirteen, so I don't fit into any normal pants at all. It's so embarassing when you have to go into the kid's section of macy's(I told ya don't buy anything name brand, unless I'm stupid and everyone here classifies MACYS as name brand) to buy jeans. My mom has a problem with my sister's clothes, which I don't know why. My sister buys things(or used to), form hot topic, and my mom freaked. She can't even go in there because she has a problem with people in tatoos and nose rings. I seriously think my mom has something against people that aren't like her.

Am I depressed...or blowing it out of proportion?
Roxie Faye replied to GinnyLyn's topic in General Discussion
Originally posted by GinnyLyn I dunno...but lately, I've been doing the whole, "What is my purpose?" bit. I keep wondering if people really like me for me, or if they only like what I do...if they are only nice to me for as long as it takes for me to go away. This feeling was always there, it seems, but in the past few weeks, it's gotta out of hand...almost unbearable. Every couple of nights, I lie awake and just cry...wondering why it is this way. Is it my fault? I've noticed that I've also dropped out of a lot of my "extra curricular" stuff over the past few months...my acting group, my speech club (and I was one away from being a certified speaker, too...), my bible study group. Now, I promise you, I don't ever think about taking my life...I just keep wondering if the world would be any different regardless of if I had been in it or not. I wish I could reach out to people more, but I feel like everytime I do, I lose them. I lost one of my best friends at the beginning of this year...my favorite uncle in May...I changed the church I grew up in a few weeks ago... Am I depressed or just blowing this out of proportion?
Oh Gin. Everyone in the world matters, including you. "To the world you may be one person, but to one person, you may be the world." You matter very much to me. I like you for you, not because of what you do. You're such a fun person to be around and you're always cheering everyone up. Don't ever change. Though, if you're depressed, I highly, HIGHLY recommend talking to someone. Your Pastor, a teacher, a friend, and I know I'm not the closest to you, but if you ever need anyone to just listen to you, I'm always here. P.S.: If you're leaving TheOtaku because of this, please reconsider, won't you? -
I think IkonBoard would be a great Idea. I have a MyIkonboard(altough there's about a million bugs in the beta version I have, but that ain't the point), and it's quiet similar to IkonBoard. I believe Version one is going to be based, and virtually the same, as iB v3.1. In any case, I'm really looking forward to it. In the past five minutes I've already told two people about the Shine Get site, and I'm hoping they'll join the message board, too(those people are Lumi and a friend of mine who's into gaming). I know it'll be a great MB (and site)! You might even see me there a couple times(even though I'm not really a gamer).

Anime Cheerful Coffin + Monster Reborn= Fusion?
Roxie Faye replied to John2's topic in Otaku Central
Come again? What do you mean by fusion cards? Cards to make the fusion, or a Fusion card, one of the purple cards? And what card can you put out Monster Reborn with? You're confusing me... -

Off topic: talking about ISH(Internet Short Hand), anybody know what CCEB is? I think it's a Digimon thing, or a form of torture. On topic: "Typing of the Dead" :therock: Oh yeah, what a great name for a typing program. Seriously, though, what does it do(well, duh, it teaches you how to type, but I mean, does it have anything special, or extra fun or anything)? -
What would you do if you had 17 years to live?
Roxie Faye replied to Sandy's topic in General Discussion
I would be 30 exctly, if it hit in 17 years. I'd probably learn about Japan, move to Japan, go on with life like I normally do, until the last day, and then do something fun, or what struck my mood that's out of the ordinary to do that day. -
I'm addicted to: The internet, Ken Ichijouji, music(come on, y'all listen to it at least once a day. That includes the backround music on TV), Ken Ichijouji, writing(well okay, more of thinking up ideas for stories, but whatever), Ken Ichjouji, Bishi-boys(my list, in order of most favored to least, consists of: Ken Ichijouji, Osamu Ichijouji, Li Showron, Matt Ishida (02), Seto Kaiba, Ryo Akiyama (Tamers), Yami, Mitsuo Yamaki, Duo Maxwell, Eriol Hiiragizawa, and Beelzemon), Ken Ichijouji, Digimon, And did I mention, KEN ICHIJOUJI!!!!!!!! eh heh...

Hopefully, Luminaire is getting me Exodia's head from some kids for like.... $2.00 today. I feel sorta bad, paying that little. I think it's holographic, too, but not sure about first edition. Hopefullly it's in good condition. I'm pretty stupid, so I have a question about Exodia. Do you have to have ALL five pieces in your hand to win the duel, or just one?

Are you absolutely POSITIVE you made that in MS Paint? That is REALLY, REALLY good. I mean like... WOW. My MS Paint banners are horrible(the one in my sig is proof)! Great job, Psy.

What does your sig/avator/user name mean?
Roxie Faye replied to Utena_Tenjou's topic in General Discussion
Name: I was planning a fanfic, and I wanted a firey name. My mom suggested "Roxanne". When I went on my first message board, I couldn't choose between the usernames of "Roxie", which was a nickname for my fanfic character "Roxanne", or "Tatiana", because my sister is into Russia and she had told everyone in my family, including me, about the last Russian imperial family. The message board didn't allow any spaces, or capitals, and the only characters you could have were letters and numbers. So my username there was: roxieortatiana. I basically carried it over to this message board and my own as well. I seriously wish I had put spaces and caps in it so that my name would look like this: Roxie or Tatiana. When MYiB v1 comes out, I can probably get hack for it, on my board, but as for OB, there's nothing I can do about it, except make a new name, and I don't want to because I almost have 500 posts. I want a custom avatar so bad, it's not funny. Speaking of avatars, I've had this dragon one since I first signed up. On v4, yes, there were a lot of choices, but as many as there are on v5, and most of them, I didn't know what they were, and so the one I finally ended up picking was this dragon one, and I've been too lazy to change it, ever since. :p My sig, well, I made the banner myself, on MS Paint. I had to put in the words on top of the pic, pixel by pixel. I really like Ken Ichijouji, and for those of you who don't know how to do Digimon couples, you just squash the two names together. so, Sora and Matt is either sorato or yamora. You can also use the English names, but the only couple I've ever seen that done with is Kenlei. SO, Kenanne, is Ken and Roxanne, and since I'm called "Roxie" and "Roxie" is a shortened version of "Roxanne", Kenanne means Ken Ichijouji and I. The part about the club, it's a requirement if you wanna be in it, and I like advertising my board. It's a way to get members. Lastly, the going away part, well click on it to find out. I'll be changing that soon. -
If there were only women in this world...
Roxie Faye replied to BabyGirl's topic in General Discussion
Interesting question. I'm not really sure about my answer, to tell you the truth. I think, like... if there was a conflict between countries, there would be more talking about things first, rather than jsut diving into war. I think a lot of things would get done quicker, because we're less lazy, and, I think we're more concerned about things. I might be glad if the entire world had only women, because it would take away a lot of sexist discrimination. I mean, ya, there woud still be some rasciasm, but I think there would be less than there is know, because if sexism fell, than I BELIEVE(I have no proof of this, it's an opinion dammit) rascism would be less, too. Maybe then I'd finally get the respect I deserve for being an asian female *grumbles*. Could anyone dechipher that paragraph, aside from the last sentence? The one puzzling mystery that will never be understood by me, is why men have, in ancient time(and modern, as well), been considered more important than women, when women are the ones who are producing all life, including males. Grrrrrrrr. -
How many people really do use the home keys?
Roxie Faye replied to MarkM's topic in General Discussion
I used to abbreviate thing online, such as "you" to "u" and "you are" to ur, on anoterh message board, and in chat rooms and AIMs. THEN, I came here, found out y'all were using great grammar and switched. Now, it drives me nuts when I see "ur" on a message board. I'm not a fast typer and I don't spell correctly when I type(my most common mistakes are "jsut" for "just" and "ahve" for "have"), so if I'm IMing someone, and I use U or 2, just to be quick, I alweays wince. About the home keys, nope. Don't really use them. I had keyboarding classes for about two years, but I hated it. I can, however, type with out looking at the keyboard and spell things pretty much correctly, but it takes me longer because I have to think about where the keys are. For me, the keyboard I'm using is also a factor. Right now, my comp, is broken, and I'm using my sis's, and I HATE her keyboard. You ahve to press down REALLY hard to get the keys to strike, and it's taking me longer to write everything. ugh. -
I think this has been said before. If it is, whoops. Anyways, to BG: Lots of kitchen devices. Ya know, stir fry pan, something to cook rice with, pots and pans, coffee maker, toaster, stuff like that.

I tohught requesting someone in particular was forbidden.................. In anycase, Shaun, you never cease to amaze me. :)

Nope, I got no problem with that you're saying. Infact, I agree with it. The thing that REALLY gets to me is that a LOT of people, even people in this message board, tend to think that Digimon is a kids show. And even if they do distinguish a difference betwwen it and Pokemon, they still classify it as a kid show. Ok, so Digimon doesn't exactly have people's guts coming out, or tons of smoking, but that doesn't make it a kids show. In almost every episode, some Digimon is dying. Yamaki, in the beginig of Tamers, was purposely killing living creatures. Yes, it has a LOT of guns. Gargomon's "Gargo Laser" fires off all these shots, using a gattling arm(I think that's what it's called), and Beelzemon's "Double Impact" has these MASSIVELY sized guns(speaking of Beelzemon, I've heard him swear on more than one occasion). And, in 02, who can say that was kiddie? I mean, the first ark had so much abuse in it, theres no way that was kids stuff. Ok, yes sometimes the plot is a little weak *cough*02's ending*cough*, and some of the dubbed lines are messed up (that stupid renamon line), but every anime has SOME flaw in it, and that doesn't make it "kiddie", so why single out Digimon? Alright, now that I've made a big deal out of nothing, maybe I should leave and never come back.
Originaly posted by James I think very few of you know anything about kangaroos...
Nope. The only thing I know is that they were named, because when white explorers came to Australia, one of them asked an Aborigine, ?what is this hopping creature called?? The native replied: ?Kangaroo? which meant, I don?t understand. I know about Koalas, though. VERY, VERY little, but more than the average person. Lesse, their genus species is phascolaarctos cineros, they have sharp claws(as BG mentioned), they can be found in the eucalyptus forests of Australia, both in the north and south, on the east side of Australia. I believe in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. All they eat are eucalyptus leaves, which smell like cough drops, because a lot of cough drops have eucalyptus in them(duh). Although they only eat eucalyptus leaves, they will eat 12 kinds of eucalyptus leaves. They sleep a LOT, because the eucalyptus in their diet has a special chemical that induces drowsiness. The aren?t bears, but part of the marsupial family(I think y?all know that). They were named because they rarely, or don?t drink. The Aborigines called them koala because it means no drink. Their enemies are dingoes, domesticated dogs, and humans. They aren?t endangered species, but they are a threatened species, protected by the government. They are down to a few thousand in numbers because of disease, killing for fur(which is now outlawed), and fires in the 20?s. And this last one, James, if you contradict this one, I?ll have to whack you. *looks at ?ADMINISTRATOR? title* or maybe not. heh. lol. What I was going to say was that there ARE signs on the road that say to watch out for Koalas because they live in nearby trees. I KNOW they have signs like that. I would BET MY LIFE that they have signs that say that! Ok? Thus ends my koala rant. :D :p -
Ok, if I told y'all where I live, my mom would freak and ground me for life. The most specific I can be is I live in northern Jersey. My dad(who oddly enough, live in THAILAND) sent me all these facts about New Jersey. Lesse if I can pull them out of my filing cabinet... Ahh yes! Here it is. borough(lol, es that's what it's classified as), we have this cool old historical house where George Washington stayed in during the revolution. He walked along the river going through my town. We also have a really old library that dates back to the 1700's, and the district school building, which used to be a K-12 school in the early 1900's. Now our lazy superintendent(sp?) just sits there. Speaking about our schools, we are VERY prestigious(I think my mom has a lot do with that, not boasting, just saying that she's one of the good educators in our school system), in our education. Ur school system's "motto" is: We are T.O.P.S! I can't tell you what T.O.P.S. stands for because it'll tell y'all where I live, and then my mom will kill me. Alright, if you REALLY want to know where I live, you can figure it out my this sentence(which is, true, BTW). Last year, one of our schools placed FIRST in the state, in the national KMO competition. Not to mention I was one of the students on that KMO team(hee hee). Um.. that's enough rambling about my uh.. borough. :D

Queen Asuka, neither will I. I don't even watch it! I tried! I REALLY tried! I tried watching one epsode of DBZ. stopped watching it afer about 2 minutes. It was so horrible that i couldn't even get to the sucky plot parts because I shut off the T.V. The thing that got to me was those nasty alien thingys. They're so creepy. See? I don't even know about the sucky plot. -.-; 'prolly for the better. lol. I did watch ONE ep. of just dragonball, but it was one without any aliens. i don't even know if Dragonball has aliens in it. I don't even know if they ARE aliens(Lumi[naire] had to tell me that they were aliens. heh.) Anyways, what was my point to this? I don't think I have one. heh... Well, I just want y'all to know that I don't think I'm an "otaku" or know anything about anime cuz I don't. I'm stuck in my own little Digimon universe over here. I just said that to every one didn't I? *slowly edges away from crowd*
