She came up to me in colorguard and said "Hayley, Hayley! You must see this really awesome site that I found.." Well, sorta like that. I guess it eventually turned into The Otaku, and I was a fan of anime so I turned into a fan of The Otaku. I came to the boards every once in a while and looked around. I didn't join for a while because I was already a member of another forum. I've posted here a lot recently, because this is now the only forum I post on. Dan Rugh Posted July 8, 2003 Share Posted July 8, 2003 The first I ever came into contact with Otaku was around a year and a half ago when a friend of mine came back to art class from the library with some printed out Fan Art pictures. We were going to draw them for a project. After that, I kept coming back to look at the Fan Art and later all the show updates at Otaku.com. Eventually I submitted my own Fan Art. Later on, I had a question and decided to become a member here (March 2003) to get the answer. I believe it was "Is there a Supreme Kai movie?" He was a fellow in a online rpg I was working in, and told me about this place. I came, I saw, I signed up, and posted a couple of times. Then just sort of stopped coming here for about 2 months, I killed of the 'friend' that recommended me here. After a little while, I decided to check out the forums. I fell in love with that, too. So I've been here ever since (off and on, of course).
