Haha, wow, we're practically next-door neighbors.

For the record, I used to live in Pendleton until semi-recently. Again, it was on the very outskirts; I might as well have been in Lapel, heh.

I live somewhere in Northwest Iowa. How is that for mysterious?

Yeah... my town is small, about 8,000 people I think? Our downtown consists of about two blocks.
There really isn't anything here except a lot of meth and marijuana. :whoops:

Wow I don't know if I live there or here! XD

It's calm where I live. But here is drugs everywhere. You can't go 1 foot without hearing the word weed. You can't even go to the local gardening shop without hearing about weed.

But good things come from my home town! American Paper Company is stationed where I live. the second longest river in NY runs through where I live. And the scenery is nice and amazing. Especially Barret''s paving company. They have the biggest hole there where they get their rocks. Northern NY is a great place besides the drugs.

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Try and stalk me, I dare you ;D Most of you are my southern neighbours so it would just be really insane to find one of you anywhere near my neck of the woods.

My city is currently experiencing a huge economic boom, so tons of people are moving here, and with that comes higher costs of everything, nowhere for the new people to live, and many many homeless people. It's getting kind of scary to just walk downtown, which is a shame because I adore going downtown. A homeless man squawked at me the other day and I just made a mad dash for my car. Bah.

It's an okay place to grow up though, I mean, I've made it 17 years 8D And we have one of the largest malls in the world, hell I even work there now. I'm basically a certified mallrat =P

Same. My town's crime-rate is basically nonexistant, after the whole drug thing. Of course, the police never bust our drug dealers, even though they know who it is.
I swear, there must be a meth lab for every ten houses here. But, our community is more a marijuana fan than anything.

I think the funny thing is, we are a DARE community. It doesn't help of course, I think it actually makes it worse... because they are just teaching what the drugs will do for you and how to make them. :p

Anyway. I guess we don't have much diversity here, no stores, no places to go. It's funny, though, because my town is like one big ghetto. Everything is so run down. Ah well, it's a fairly good place to live. The only thing that makes me uncomfortable is the fact that I live by a Mental Health Institute. >>

Same in our town. This old fat guy ratted out his friends for buying his drugs. we have a joke in our town. D.A.R.E in my hometown stands for Drugs Are Really Expensive. I made this joke that under our school there's a huge meth lab and all the janitors and teachers are in on it.

Also Norfolk NY is a cumminity of homophobs who insult the gay people of our town. You just want to pop the kids where I live. My friend is gay, and he's very open about it. Andsometing I did makes me a target as well, if you catch my drift.

Meh. In my city, there's so many people who either are or think they are bisexual it's hard to take yourself seriously if you question your sexuality. My community actually made me feel I must be straight simply because I feel like I can't be bisexual without being a douche. Meh, fake gay kids are annoying. The day one of these guys actually asks me out, I'l believe them XD

Some people are so rediculous, though. My best friend said that he once knew a girl who claimed to 'only date bisexual or gay guys'. He told me how he'd thought he'd 'go gay for her'

REALITY CHECK, PEOPLE!

My location? Salt Lake City, Utah. Want more info, just go back and click on that link Rach provided. Overall it's not a bad place. But my first impression of it wasn't so hot. My parents moved here about 12 years ago and I absolutely hated the High School I was put in. Lots of rude stuck up religious people who had no tolerance for anyone different.

It got to the point that my parents finally moved me to another school since the adults were just looking the other direction and doing nothing to stop the other kids from ganging up on me or from harassing me. Not everyone here is like that, just that area we were in. Anyway, moving to a new school is how I met Rach since he was a student there. And unlike the previous school I had little to no problems.

But Salt Lake City like any other place has it's bad points and one is a mild gang problem. One that ended up taking the life of my brother who was a bystander in a drive by shooting. I've already explained that before so I'll not bother to repeat myself. Needless to say it was really painful for my parents and after a while they moved back east.

I stayed since I was starting college and didn't want to leave my friends. That and the dry desert climate is much easier on my asthma than the greenery of where they live back east. All in all, it's got it's up and downs, but in the end it's a nice place to live and for the most part the people are friendly. I certainly won't be bothered if I end up getting a permanent job here when I finish school. I'll get my own place though instead of living in a basement apartment. lol

Then again, my town is pretty much part of the city where they probably have around 5 McDonalds at least, two KFC's and a Pizzahut. :x Then again, there could be a lot more, but I don't ussually tend to count the places where you can get the most fat in within 10 minutes.

I live in Moses Lake, Washington. If you are really interested about my little hometown you can also check out this link to the history of Moses Lake. The town is pretty much in the middle of Washington state. If you head between Seattle and Spokane on I-90 you will pass right by Moses Lake.

The population is about 16,000. We don't have a shopping mall but we have a few small strip malls. Wal-Mart is the biggest shopping center here. It is very rural so many of the people in the area work in farming. There is one high school. Moses Lake High School, the home of the Chiefs.

We do have quite a few Seattle e-commuters that live here since it is much cheaper than living on the coast. I guess you can consider my hubby an e-commuter too since the company he works for is based out of Washington DC. Since we are close to all the hydroelectric dams we get our electricity for very cheap. I believe we have the cheapest electricity rates in the country.

The main draw to this area is the recreation. There are sand dunes for ATVs, plenty of lakes for fishing and watersports and lots of areas to hunt and camp. Oh, and it's pretty much desert climate here. Sagebrush and dust. None of that stereotypical "Evergreen State" stuff here. Today it's suppose to be 112 degrees outside. Yeah, toasty.

Hmmm... Well I never bothered to put the city in my profile but I too live in Provo, Utah. Fairly close to Aaryanna since her and that fluff ball of hers spend a lot of time at my place. And just like she said it's a very high percentage of Mormon's around here. Though I suppose that's due to BYU since members come from all over the USA to attend university there, since it's owned by the church. Still compared to the rest of the state we have the highest percentage. It's what my parents are and my father worked for BYU for over thirty years before retiring. Though I haven't been part of any religion for over 16 years. Anyway...

There's lots of great stuff to do, we've got good malls, theaters and my favorite store: Borders. I've no idea how many fast food place we have since I really don't eat fast food very often. Though I see them all the time. A lot of my favorite places are actually up in Salt Lake City though and since they put the light rail system in I'll drive up, park at the end of the line and just take it to downtown since it's quicker and cheaper than paying for parking.

Oh and Panda, depending on when the Wal-Mart in Moses Lake was built, it's entirely possible that I've actually delivered frozen goods to your town. At the very least I've been by that way many times. Though I delivered to so many Wal-Mart's that I don't remember if I actually did at Moses Lake or not. At least not without digging out all my records to take a look. lol

I hail originally from the seasonally bereft Toowoomba [It amazes me that it has its own wiki page o.O;], but I moved to Brisbane for university just over 2 years ago. I love it, it's a nice step up from what is commonly referred to as a country town. Personally I'd be quite happy to spend my single life here simply because there's so much to do, but I'd probably move back to Toowoomba if I was to have a family, simply because I deal with primary and high school Brisbane kids all the time with work, and I'm none too impressed... I live in good all Rocklin, California. As Hitsuzen said, it's a great place. I get to go to Sunsplash with her and our friends and hang out at the mall which is going under construction but is still open. In the winter, her and I go snowboarding but I'm more advance than she is so I go on bigger slopes.

In the summer which it is right now, we go to the beach in the Bay area. This year we're bringing a friend with us this year and we hope that she's gonna have lots of fun with us. What she doesn't know is that we are going to the Monteray Bay Aquarium. This will be her first time too so we hope that she's excited. We heard that she will be a bit nervous leaving her mother and father at home for such a long time so she's spending as much time as she can with them until we go.

That's where I live and I love it. I would never want to move unless it's to Japan. Now that's what I call great. Oh, and for all you people, Hitsuzen and I are sisters. Twins to be exact but we may be identical but we are different in personality wise and fashion wise.

*Sighs* Detroit Michigan. I'm hoping to move to either Arizona or California by next spring or summer. It's not wise to try to do any type of stalking here whatsoever. (Although I'm not worthy of being stalked, just giving you a heads up.) Sometimes though, you probably can get away with stalking, but in most cases, you'll probably get shot in the process. (Good luck to you :))

I also wouldn't advise coming here for vacations or job searching. Detroit is a fairly boring place, atleast it is for me anyway. The only thing(s) that're here are casinos. I've grown out of the malls that're here. There aren't anything in these malls closest to me. (10-15 minute drive out of the city, which is Southfield Michigan) The best mall that I know of is in Auburn Hills. I think they have alot more things to do there. If you go to the downtown area you may find more things to do there. What exactly, I don't know. Jobs are practically non-existant here. Well, there are some here, but it's like there aren't any. Some jobs claim that they are highering, but no one is getting hired. Everybody is getting laid off. (Honestly, the entire state of Michigan is in a bind when it comes to getting a job.)

The people..... What can I say about the people? Hard to say. If you look at the news here in Detroit, you'd think some (most) of the people are rather pathetic. With the reasons they've been giving on these crimes and whatnot. About 3 months ago, a 22 year old was beating on a 75 year old to get the keys to his car. Killing part is, is that there were people standing around doing nothing at all. (you might've heard about it.)

I don't really have anything nice to say about the so-called "Motor City". (Even the big 3 are doing bad here.) I've been here my entire life, and still haven't seen anything worthy of being called a "hangout" spot. That is unless you exclude the places that're known for random fights, shootings, and whatnot.

I guess if I had to say something nice about this city is that the Detroit Tigers are doing pretty good. :) Our churches are pretty good too.

Hmmmm, pretending to be gay to get a girl, eh? *Loses faith in humanity and becomes a hermit:animedepr*. Well, back to the topic at hand, I live in a town called Asheboro, North Carolina. Everyone here sucks, well maybe thats a bit harsh, 90% of the people here suck. It's not a terribly small town, but not a very large one either. Everyone here, excuse me, NINETY PECENT of the people here are all closed minded morons who go around rejecting anythig different. Just about everyones blatantly homophobic and hardcore "Christian". I've actually heard someone say "I'll beat the **** out of anyone who dosent believe in God" real Christian thing to say there man....... I think maybe this year at school I'll be openly atheist and freak everyone out:animesmil. I'll bet money I'd be called "Devil Worshipper" at least 8 times.

Well, I live in Manchestar.

(Actually it's a bit of a shithole).

But what we have, or at least I have, is the Urbis [linkage] and it's subculture. We hang around there. It's damn cool.

And Manchester music [linkage]. Also, The Fall[linkage] had a keyboard player. A friend of mine is her son. All from Manchester! =)

In fact, just goggle Manchester, hahaha.

But yeah despite the crime here, it's decent. Like I said, I normally hang around Urbis, Picadilly Gardens, the Bridge (which you can't find on google, since we discovered it some ten years ago by the river), Afflecks Palace, the Arndale, around and about Academy 2, the MEN Arena, Victoria Station, Gas Works...

That's where all the weirdos hang around, hehe. I think you can type most of those in on Wikipedia or Google and get a result.

Manchester = the REAL capital of England. London sucks, and our punks are better! XD

K-Town in the house!

...New Orleans, Louisiana.

You've heard the name. K-Town. K-Ville. Chocolate City. The 504.

I've lived here my whole life and I love it. The winters are wet and cold, the summers humid and scorching, but I love it. So much history. So much culture. The music, the food, the people, the locations. There is a lot to do...

Of course, there is Bourbon and the French Quarter, but there is a lot more. ...Like Decatur Street. Haha. But no, there are a lot of cool places you can only see here and a lot of things you can only do here. Lots of historical sights, lots of things to find. Great fishing outside the metro area. The bayous and wetlands are beautiful in the summer, especially during the middle of the day on a swamp boat.

Music the the main thing, I think, tied with the food. You can go clubbing downtown and hear music from ten different genres within an hour if you know the right places. Classic blues and grinding metal next door to each other. And the food...god, you will never taste anything like a real New Orleans cuisine.

...And there's some thing called Mardi Gras. Something about glass beads and baring chests for the needy or something.

XD

This place is definitely home. There is just a...feeling. A spirit. It's in the air. You can taste it, smell it, walk through it. It's...home. That's the only way I can say it.

Oh, we're also the murder capital of the United States.

Love from the Big Easy.

I live in Rutherford, NJ which is a very tiny town (it's about a square mile and a half) in northern New Jersey. There's really not too much to say about it. There's almost nothing to do in town (though we did just get a 7-Eleven, to add to the fast-food theme). 95% of Rutherford thinks they're rich but in reality, we only get taxed like we are.

We have an awful movie theatre (three screens, only one of which is in at all decent condition), 17 (literally, I'm not kidding) nail salons, a bunch of restaurants (many of which are actually pretty good), a train station, and something like six schools in the district. While it sounds like a little more than nothing, trust me when I say it gets old after living here for almost 17 years.

On the upside, I'm 15 to 20 minutes by car/bus/train from NYC (which is actually where I was born and lived for two years), where I'm currently typing this post from so that opens up things a bit more. And just to keep with the theme, there's a McDonald's right down the block from my office.

The only other thing of interest in the area that others may know of is Giants Stadium, which is about 10 minutes from my house, 30 if you count the confusing maze of streets and U-turns to get into the parking lot.
