That doesn't only happen in Africa, just more frequently over there. Anyway.. swimming would be a good idea for a new GTA, because even people who can't swim can probably keep their heads above water. I would also prefer having all weapons accessible once you obtain them. GTA: Vice City is hardly the most realistic crime-oriented game around, and even now you can carry a mini-gun somewhere without anyone noticing.

Well pointed out there Valen. From now on I'm just going to be deleting these threads entirely.

Kiln slowly sipped his ale, pouring over what just happened to him and Drake. Drake sighs and looks at his glass, noticing it is almost finished. Drake: I.. I really don't want to drag you into this Kiln. If something was to happen.. Kiln: I don't care, I'm coming with you. I can fight, maybe not as well as you, but I can darn sure hold my own. Drake smiled at his friend and glanced back the opposite side of the bar, only to see no Lalia. Kiln promptly laughed and polished off the remaining ale in his glass, deciding to retire for the night. Kiln: I'm gonna go, I need my sleep and it's getting late. Tell our companion where to meet us, okay? Drake nodded and saw his friend to the door of the tavern. Kiln hurried home, excited that he had been able to convince Drake to let him tag along on his quest. Kiln barely touched the ladder steps as he reached his home. Bursting through the door and removing his Deku shield from his back, Kiln jumped into bed. Can't wait until tomorrow...

What's the worst gift you have ever received?
Red replied to Sephiroth's topic in General Discussion
I got a woolen sweatshirt from my aunty in Ireland once, the arms were twice as long as my size, and the whole thing ended up looking like a skirt. Of course, I had to try it on in front of the entire family, along with my incredibly cocky cousin who hasn't let it go since. *sigh* I have yet to receive socks as a gift, I pray that I will not. -
Awww crap. My list really pales in comparison to everyone elses, lol. I could name individual towns in Ireland/Northern Ireland that I've been to, but it really wouldn't interest anyone -_- Anyway.... I have lived in London for my entire life. I lived in a nasty estate (one of the worst in the city) up until I was a year old, when my mum decided it was time to move to a nicer area. So.. I'm now in one of the nicer areas of London :D I've lived in this nicer area for 15 years now. The places in the world I've visited are New Jersey, New York and Ireland. I go to Ireland every year due to my entire family living over there :) A few of my cousins were born in Kenya, but I still haven't visited.

Kiln strolled around Kakariko village in the rain with his Deku shield strappped to his back, considering what to do with his life. He had heard from Drake about the master sword scenario, and was desperate to join his old friend on the quest. Kiln was stared at by Kokiri villagers running into their homes from the rough storm, he was the tallest Kokiri in the village so he wasn't hard to spot. Many wondered why he constantly had his shield strapped to his back. It was of poor quality since he had been given it years before from a kind young man, named Link. Drenched, Kiln decided to make a stop for a drink at the tavern. He hoped to see Drake, as he had been so reclusive since he had heard about his destiny. As Kiln walked into the tavern he removed his hood, shaking off all the collected water. He shook his head, removing the water from his thick hair. As Kiln looked up he saw Drake smiling and staring at Lalia. He approached Drake and tapped him on the shoulder...

Somehow I doubt you are truely psychic AnimeAddict. Your subconcious must have picked up on routine airplay schedules, allowing you to (subcounciously) know when a song you "want" is going to come on. Also, your brain would probably account for someones behaviour, or you might just be good at predicting human behavioural patterns. I've seen some interesting things about psychic ability within dogs. I know it sounds silly, but the frontal lobe of a dog is partially active, and that is what is predicted to control psychic ability. Of course, this area isn't active in any human's brain, so we are unable to fully study it. Some theories seem to explain why a lot of people's dogs are waiting at the front door a full half an hour before they arrive. Some scientists say dogs make a special bond with the human and the brain, allowing them to 'feel' if they are in the vicinity.

Where was the thread located? In Newbie Lounge or another forum? Basically all I'm asking you to do is elaborate :)

Gaming Ok, you've told me what your favorite game is, now tell me your least fav.
Red replied to Sniglefager's topic in Noosphere
Kid Chameleon for Gensyst
I loved that game... :( I couldn't really comment on my least favourite game. I tell you what, I'll go against the views of a lot of people and say Gran Turismo 2 and Gran Turismo: Concept. GT2 was by no means an impressive sequel, and the tweaking was taken way too far, with things I couldn't even comprehend. Not enough car variety, and the compatibility with a steering wheel controller was shoddy at best. GT: Concept because the makers seem to have been paid by car companies desperate to show off their "great" new vehicles by cramming them into a popular brand. The result is an awful game. As for superman on the N64.. *ultra shudder* -
Shy has explained it all, as long as you are the creator of the thread you can click "edit" and "delete post", which will delete the entire thread. Simple question, simple answer. :)

I thought this was excellent. Especially since it doesn't seem like something you would do CWB. Brilliant rhymes and a funny way to look at Christmas, lol.

I know how you feel, I was bullied for 5 years straight, to a point where I couldn't leave my own house for fear of getting beaten up by 20+ people. That's no joke by the way, I was chased down by 20+ 16 year olds when I was only 10 years old. In the end I was stuck in my house, depressed. I hardly got any exercise, so I just got really fat. I suppose I still am because of it. I live with the fact now that if one of those boys (and I see them around) was to bother touching me, they wouldn't wake up for a few days. It makes my blood boil just seeing them in the street, the fact that I never got my revenge on them, but I know that I am a heck of a lot more intelligent and I don't have to sink down to their level.

Mail ordering it would be the best option now EMU, or as Desbreko said, try eBay. Burning a copy will always have problems, regardless of your computer specifications. Something probably went wrong during the copying of any .exe files, because if they get partly broken up it can cause an entire program to go haywire.
What scares me about teenagers, people my age, is that they often do not know that alcohol comes with a delay. There is a pretty stretch of time between when the alcohol goes down your throat, to when you start to feel it. So, teenagers get angry that they can't feel it, or they think it's not working, so to be cool, they just keep chugging it and drinking more and more and more, and when it finally does catch up with them, they get deathly ill.
Bullseye. That happens so much to people I know when they go to parties and stuff. They end up completely hammered after drinking contests where they think that the alcohol is barely having any effect. I've rarely done things that I regret whilst I was drunk, but then again I rarely get drunk in the first place. I have a reasonable tolerance for alcohol and I drink in moderation, trying to make sure I don't get drunk. The only bad thing that I ever did was.. *prepares to be laughed at* fall off a balcony at a party -_-;;

I think this belongs more within the "who would you like to meet thread", as it does bring up a lot of topics regarding to it. Feel free to post in there :)
I'd like to see how many teachers even bother to show up.
Very true, getting teachers to work on Christmas Day would be on heck of a job, and I doubt anyone would want to pay them extra money. I honestly find this hard to believe, as if anyone had enough common sense they would realise that hardly anybody would turn up on Christmas Day, regardless of what he says. Start a petition, make sure everybody signs it, he won't suspend you.

I don't know, possibly someone who needed pants. But I don't think this is going to bring up any good discussion.

Who should be responsible for the moral education of a child?
Red replied to ChibiV's topic in General Discussion
It is a parents' responsibility to provide a strong amount of moral education for a child. But it is also any teachers/carers or other guardians responsibility to help those points get across. My point is that once a child reaches an age for nursery/preschool (or whatever it's called), a teacher has to make sure they also show a child (for example) the difference between right and wrong. Someone at a young age follows the example of those people around them, so I think it is spread out between all the major figures in a young childs life, not just the parents. -
I sound like such an intelligent person in that AIM conversation Deus, heheh. I just read (sounds impossible I know) most of the recent posts, and so I have cast my vote fairly. I must say it's hard to do considering what they get away with in there, lol.

Only a few people would like to meet the man himself, Desert Shadow. For some reason I remember his favourite number: 72. He would be the reason I write in bold, along with AJeh I think :D I think it would be excellent just to get to know someone from the boards really well, since we all post on specific subjects up on here.. I would just love to see how some people tick.

I think it's excellent that you stopped Lisa from moving into your house, if she treated you like dirt you should remind her of the old saying: What goes around comes around

Sephy would have been the first OtakuBoards member that I would have met so far.. but he ended up not coming down to the LAN :( Didn't much convincing for me to get you to come though.. Me: Wanna come to a 12 hour LAN whilst you're down here? Sephy: Yeah, ok Me: O_o;; Moving on, I would like to question Juu's use of my nickname.. lol.

I don't think it's too great. Not to sound harsh, just seems a little rushed and short. You could try spacing it out a bit more, it was a tad bit confusing to read at times.

I recently saw that OB was down for about 5 minutes, but nothing like 4 hours. I also think it's just a local problem, as sometimes people just can't connect to certain servers. I had awful trouble trying to get onto Kevin's message boards because of the server it was on had trouble with my isp.
