Well I saw Astro boy replaced SD Gundam, I'm sad to say it but good riddance to SD. I mean yes I loved the chibiness of the gundams and such, but they kept repeating the series, and I darn well know there are more than that many episodes, that had to be at least only 20ish and there are freaking 49 episodes, I want to know what happened to CNs quality of brining us new episodes and not continually repeating episodes two and three times in a month. I mean look what they did to Yu-Yu Hakusho, the DVDs are ahead more than CN is letting on.

I was extremely angered when they brought Dragon Ball Z back to the TV. That jus annoys the crap out of me, I mean for god's sake if you're going to air the episodes THAT WE'VE ALREADY SEEN 10-20 TIMES DO IT ON SATURDAYS! *pants*

I wish that CN would at least try to cater to their more older watchers and stop putting everything on the weekends, I mean for crying out loud it isn't that hard at all. All in all I'm very disappointed with some of the series airing choices CN has made.

The only reason why they are running the episodes over and over again
is because most of the new episodes are still being dubbed, touched up,etc. The DVD's either contain unedited/uncut episodes that are practically untouched except for the character voices and stuff like that.CN has to edit it a lot so that it would be fit to be shown on TV.Though I can agree with you that they show reruns too often, that is their decision.Who knows, maybe when April ends they might show new episodes of the anime we all know and like.

Not to butt-in or any thing, but I currently have been ticked-off because Adult Swim keeps on showing re-runs of Inuyasha. I know they might not have ALL the new episodes, oreven ANY of them but all of Inuyasha's new viewers are loosing interest. The least they could do is put Trigun back on or something that dosn't wear Inuyasha out.

I am on the Adult Swim boards alot and read their news recently:

April 17th marks the return of AS to Saturday starting midnight to 5 AM. The premeir has the Animatrix. The according to the AS news board, it will play a double strip everyweek of Inuyasha episodes 52?-100+. Also some show called Wolf's Raine or something and I heard a rumor about Ghost in the Shell movies ( ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ::happiness:: ).

Sorry if someone else already posted this, I didn't feel like reading 400+ posts to find out. Stay tooned (HAHAHAHAHAH! ok it wasn't funny) and watch FUTURAMA THE BEST SHOW ON TELEVISION ^_^

Wait a second that doesn't make any sense.
I read previous post written by shadowfire saying that AS on Saturdays isn't going to happen due to "concerns from our ad sales department about giving up one hour of sellable children's inventory on Saturday night".This is getting me really confused. If anyone knows whether this will happen or not, pm me.Anyways the Yu-Gi-Oh copycat, Duel Masters, will be added to the Sat. afternoon line-up @ 7:00pm.

I apologize for not checking my info, they switched it on me sorry:

I quote:

Due to concerns from our ad sales department about giving up one hour of sellable children's inventory on Saturday night, we regret that we were unable to obtain Saturday nights for Adult Swim action.

Instead, beginning Thursday, April 22, Thursday nights will be devoted to action programming. Sunday nights, beginning April 18, will be devoted to comedy. We actually believe ratings on these two nights will be stronger for these changes, but we admit it's not as good as adding an extra night of Adult Swim programming.

Monday-Wednesday programming will remain a mix of comedy and action.

Other announcements:

-- The Animatrix premieres Thursday, April 22, at 11 p.m.

-- As previously announced, 52 new episodes of InuYasha premieres will begin airing on Thursday nights at 11 p.m. on April 29.

-- 26 episodes of Wolf's Rain premieres begin airing on Thursday nights at 11:30 p.m. on April 29.

-- Case Closed, known as Detective Conan in Japan, will premiere Mondays-Thursdays at midnight beginning on June 7.

For the sake of full disclosure, please know that the above decision was protested earnestly and repeatedly by those in charge of Adult Swim. It is a battle that only very recently was lost. And it is a battle that we will continue to fight with the future hope that we will be able to move into Saturday nights later this year.

Additional Note: I know many of you will ask if there is anything you can do to change this decision. There is not. But strong ratings on the forthcoming Thursday action night would certainly go a long way towards solidifying our case in the future. As always, we appreciate your continued support.
Wait, why not just turn all the TVs in wal mart and in your house to adult swim? That'll give them a lot of ratings if everybody did it.
I doubt that would work.

Didn't you read the last paragraph of Undefeated's post?We can't protest. It's

just a matter of time anyways until AS gets Saturdays back.I'll quote Undefeated on

what you can do to help get Sat. back:

Sorry to sound real negative about it,but that's all we can do.All we can do is just

give AS the ratings they need so that they can have Sat. back before the end of

September.

Gundam SEED is coming out on April 17th, 2004. Gundam F91 will be coming out in select US theaters in late may.

The F91 thing is a rumor, but SEED is completely true! Cartoon Network announced it, and you all have seen the ads for the action figures, right?

Hasta manana

Ya know, it still kinda ticks me that Toonami got Gundam Seed. I mean Toonami. They're gonna butcher it to Hades and back. SEED is really the most "fanservicey" of really all the Gundam series. In my opinion SEED should really be on Adult Swim, just like how Rurouni Kenshin really should've been on Adult Swim.

Taking out the fanservice really wouldn't do anything significant to the anime... if anything it would possibly better it so the problem really does not lie in that... Also the series on Adult Swim while supposedly always "uncut" you should open your eyes and be aware that this is not always the case =\ quite sad actually but you are right in that showing it on AS would be a better idea in that less editing would have to be done. Then again by the people over at CN SEED is nothing more than another money making ploy.

Honestly the more i've read about Gundam SEED and the probable edits that will be made to it the less I want to see this Cartoon Network Version -_o. I might just watch and tape episodes 4-18 because although i've seen them they are currently the only SEED episodes i don't have on my pc ='| but still I doubt even that... Anyway some of the main changes i'm worried about are the name changes to some of the characters and mobile suits that will probably occur -_o... eh then there's also the usual blood, sex, and drug edits that will be taken out (all of which are in Gundam SEED in some form of another). Basically I guess my main complaint really comes in the fact that if they take out all the "gruesome" war scenes and blood and guts SEED will really lose what it was intended to do... which was simply to create a "realistic" depiction of how in war everyone suffers and how there really are no "good" and "bad" guys :P. Just my two cents though... Maybe i'm just overexaggerating how the dubbed version will end up being, but I do reccomend the series to any anime fan although don't expect to get blown away right from the get go as the series starts off somewhat slow but eventually builds up into an enjoyable experience.

I really dont like what CN is doing lately with its programming. I honestly dont understand them anymore...Why on gods green earth would you make an entire 2 hrs to the DB series...

CN pioneered anime on television and they now seem to be going backwards...Removing it from its proper time slot, constantly showing reruns, and being slow to aquire new series.

Lastly...I know AS has always had a strange sense of humor in there bumpers and such but lately theyve taken it too far...The utterly annoying and insipid alligator vs. shark made me scramble for the mute button constantly...And now tonight as there "april fools joke" They have seen fit to put black mustaches(and sometimes glasses) on all the characters tonight.

I dont know what possesed them to do such a thing tonight but I for one am slowly becoming turned off by CN...I suppose I can only wait and pray for the day I can get Anime Network on cable...

I though it was really funny that AS put mustaches on the characters,
but I must agree even CTN has really started to bore me.I was always watching it, and now I only pop in to see if it has gotten any better.Who knows? Maybe since CTN has started to go backwards in thier introduction on anime, they might[after April, of course] put some shows that were the best. [Gundam Wing,Tenchi Muyo!, and others]

CN is always switching their line up, I think they should keep Yu Yu Hakusho on the weekday line-up cuz Im tired of watching it start over and over again!

Well, I think I would go for it if there was only one time showing Yu Yu Hakusho. I don't know why people don't like it that much. I guess people only like certain anime.

Toonami will never have a constant line-up. They are always changing the shows with new ones thinking that us ((the viewers)) don't like it. And for some reasn they think that EVERYONE likes Dragon Ball Z. I am getting sick of that show and now they have the DBZ Chronicles.

 • 2 weeks later...
Toonami needs to stop showing dragonball shows all the time, they showed the ends of both the dragonball and dragonballz series so those need to be replaced. If they want to keep showing gt...fine, at least there can be new episodes of that. Also, I wish they would show new episodes of yu yu hakusho...im tired of it going up to the fight between the toguro and urameshi teams, then stopping. If it's too bloody, put it on adult swim! I dont know if anyone cares about anything i just said, but i thought i'd voice my opinion.

I dont know if this would be the right place to post this, but in cyborg 009 at the end of what CN showed it seemed like all of the events were all leading up to another season and then at the end, if I remember correctly, there is shown a big black ball of light and then CN didn't show any new episodes. Does anyone know if they are going to start airing new episodes, or if there are even any?

IIRC, animenewsnetwork.com said that a second season of Cyborg 009 was planned to air soon. It will either be the same day that Toonami moves to Saturdays, or some time in June/July. I cannot remember at this moment, so I will have to hunt down the article that spoke about it.

As we all may have noticed, CN is coming out with several new anime. I can't say that really excited about ALL of them, BUT there are some that I am more eager to view than others.

The main show that I want to watch the most is Rave Masters--AND I was quite excited too. I prepared myself for the May debut ONLY to discover that it has be delayed until June. *sad* I'll survive. Therefore, Rave Masters will debut on June 6th--not yet sure about the time. Perhaps they'll keep it at 830pm.

Cartoon network has been getting on my nerves as of late, they have been converting 16 and up animes into y7 "cartoons". Just recently they announced that gundam seed will be showing on cartoon network! :flaming: Because cartoon network has hacked and slashed every other gundam anime that i like into kiddy cartoons adults (ignorant parents) dismiss anime as mere cartoons  Do you agree or disagree with their showing of anime and their sensless editing. Also please tell why.
