Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum so bear with me. I already got in trouble for posting an intro thread in the lounge :animeshy: . I read the rules and I've also searched for "bleach" because I'm afraid of getting in trouble again and I'm not sure what a "double post" is either. So I didnt find what I was looking for in my search, so I think this is an "original" post???

Sorry if I'm not making any sense. I'm new to all this forum stuff.

Well, my friend showed me some Bleach shows, and I absolutely LOVE them! I'm at his house probably once every week for our "bleach dates". I dont know where he gets them, and I want to find out. He's such a busy guy that sometimes we have to wait until he's not so busy to watch them. But I want to watch them NOW! hehee! Can I buy these Bleach shows somewhere? Or do you download them or something???

His versions are wide screen, and they look pretty good on his TV. They sort of look like computer videos. like they sort of have squares sometimes when things move really fast (Sorry if that didn't make sense. but I cant describe it). I think he plays them from his computer too. I never really paid attention. I'm not sure?

If anyone can figure out what I'm saying and help me, I would love you. You probably think I'm such a nerd for being so clueless, but I'm not that clueless at everything ;) Thanks!

Hey there, Burst_Angel. I'm going to merge this thread with our catch-all Bleach topic, as it's one of the anime listed in our Directory sticky. So the next time you want to see if there's already a thread for a show, that's the easiest place to check. If you really want to be on the safe side, it doesn't hurt to run a search, but it's not like we'll tar & feather you if you don't.

To answer your question: I assume he has a widescreen TV? I say this because, as far as I know, no version of Bleach is really widescreen, including the Japanese DVDs as well as the broadcasted episodes. So chances are that he just does wide zoom or something to make it fit the whole screen. Anyway, the basic answer is that he downloads them. But that's where discussion of this should end. Downloading anime (licensed or unlicensed) is illegal, so we don't permit asking for links or asking for explanations of how to do it.

Since you seem to enjoy Bleach, though, feel free to dive into the Bleach thread and post away. I'm sure you'll find many fellow fans (myself included) who will be more than happy to talk about the show with you. Cheers. :)

EDIT: Double posting is when you make two consecutive posts, without anyone posting in between. Instead of that, we encourage you to just edit your most recent post.

Hi Dagger

Thanks a lot for all your help! Sorry about making a new thread on it :animeshy: I tried to be a good girl. I will ask my friend about where he gets the Bleach episodes when he comes back.

So, that ____ is a creep huh? And Renji is such a cutie! It was so cute when he told _____ he refuses to let go to Rukia. I need a man like that in my life! hehee!

Byes

PS. I JUST NOTICED PEOPLE COVERING UP NAMES TO NOT SPOIL IT FOR THOSE WHO HAVENT SEEN IT. I DONT KNOW OW TO DO THAT, SO I LEFT BLANKS. I'M SUCH A DORK!

Although I don't see the need to cover up names especially how you used it but the tag is (spoiler) (/spoiler) instead of () you'd use []

Sadly, I can't talk too much about Bleach here.... it'll all be spoilers since I read the manga only.
As for Bleach in America, there's been no word yet. I really hope FUNimation gets it, instead of Viz, but we'll have to wait and see...
I think Viz already has it. Or maybe just the manga anyway.... But I think I saw that it was liscensed by Viz..... could be mistaken.

To those that read the manga and look at the anime. I see the anime is pretty far. Episode 62 was the last I've heard about....
and Aizen is already revealing things and such
My question is are they skipping a few chapters in the manga or are they combining a couple a chapters to make one episode?

man i hope bleach never comes to america... that way we'll never here a poorly dubbed ichigo, rukia, kon... *shudders at the thought*

even with naruto... ppl had such high hopes for it... and now look erm... listen to it....

... but heh... i'm new... don't mind me...

anyways i've caught myself up to 62 ... as well as the manga [wish i hadn't really] but on with the spoilers...ok i take it back just checked up with bleach7.com and turns out there is a new chapter...

The anime is addictive, starting with a fast opening theme "Asterisk" by Orange Range and ending with Rie Fu's sentimental "Life is Like a Boat". Right away the anime exceeds my expectation in terms of music. the plot itself has a great start and picks up almost immediately. Ichigo and Rukia contradicts the cliches of anime in that Ichigo isn't an orphan, has not suffered a bad past and Rukia isn't your stereotypical damsel in distress. The anime has an awesome start....

For a special the first half
wasn't that special I was dismayed that after this long a wait that it was just a recap but luckily the second half should please everybody and the preview of the next episode looks quite good.
I came across the manga recently I'm still debating whether or not to read it I just don't want to spoil the show for myself since I enjoy it so much. :animedepr

As of next Tuesday, Bleach anime is on a Naruto-style filler spree of undefined length. Where, by filler, I just mean original material not present in the manga; thankfully they're not giving us sixty episodes of Don friggin' Kan'onji while we wait. The reason, as anyone who reads the manga will know, is that the anime is catching up to the manga in storyline terms, and they'd be in trouble if they reached the same point as the manga and discovered that Kubo Taito hasn't written the rest yet...

Personally, I think the end of episode 63, as the end of the Soul Society arc, would have been the perfect spot for a season break, instead of giving us filler. I don't want to see Bleach - which I've been following for quite a while now - become one of those crassly commercialised anime like Naruto or Inu Yasha, which seem to continue airing purely to line their creators' pockets. What does anyone else think of the upcoming filler arc?

Personally, I may not stick around for the filler arc, although I'll give the 63 & 64 special a look at some point. It's not that I don't want to see what they come up with, but I've got other stuff to watch. The Bleach filler won't be a high priority for me unless it turns out to be really spectacular.

While I don't think anime-only material is a bad idea in theory, somehow it always seems to turn out poorly in this type of show. So my expectations for the next arc aren't that high to begin with. I'll just be happy if it's not all "Don friggin' Kan'onji," as you so wisely phrased it. ;)

There was something bothering me about the filler arc this whole time though. If they are going to have Renji in the fillers doing something. How is that going to work out if he is suppose to
come back with Ikkaku and them in the next arc?
To me it just seems like it doesnt make any sence there.

Well I may just see the first filler just to see if it is any good or not. As long as they have kenpachi in it then it is always good.. He is so funny..

Kubo Taito has written more of the manga, he just hasn't finished the next arc which is why they have the fillers which are also being written by Kubo Taito since he writes for both his manga and the anime. AS for the number of fillers I heard there was going to be a total of 20 filler eps though that is undefined. Also I've seen the titles for eps 64-66 and non of them suggest Don Kan'onji eps.

I agree. Fillers really degrade the quality of the series. Plus it means more DVDs to buy once it's licensed. I didn't read the manga first. I had the feeling Bleach was going the way of Inuyasha during the Soul Society arc, so I decided to start buying the manga instead of the anime when it gets here.

Well episode 64 is out and for filler it wasn't too bad at least you can tell here that the same team designed the new characters unlike in the Naruto fillers where it's pretty much on whim until they catch up. So no deviation in the art style is definitely the way to go the new story looked interesting but I guess I won't really know until the next couple episodes are shown but it seems believable so far.

-edited for spelling- Lol, since new and no aren't the same word. :babble:

just watched Ep64 and it appears that the filler arc may be most interesting. I have some ideas of who the new characters could be based on the third arc of the manga but my ideas could be completely wrong. my idea is that these people could be the
vaizards
, but only people who have been reading the manga could understand who they are.

Does anyone else see a worrying similarity between the doors that swallowed Orihime and the gates of Hell from the Shrieker Hollow arc?

I noticed it too the first time I saw it, at first I was thinking something along the lines of "Can they even do that?!" However, now I see that it really cant be
The gates of hell because although this just guessing from what happened the first time we were able to see hell. Its not like a giant vaccum that sucks a person into it. The real hell is just some giant arm with a spear like thing that impales the person and draws them in.
However now they even have Sado ; _ ;

However as a side though I was thinking that wouldn't it be an intresting idea for some kind of arc that involves
all of them actually going into hell for some reason or another?
I mean so far we have only seen the good parts of death in the world of bleach. Why not the bad?

Having watched episode 65, it's good to see the writers acknowledged the similarity between the doors and
the gates of Hell
.

So now we have a little more info on these three new baddies.
Lirin's a little girl who likes to play phone-tag. Claude has weird hair and can shapeshift. Nova ... doesn't like to show his face, and appears out of whirlwinds. And they're all fast enough to evade Renji and Ichigo with ease.
So what exactly are these guys? I'm currently clueless. I haven't seen enough of their abilities to pass judgement. But I'm going to say they aren't Shinigami or any form of Hollow we've so far come across. They don't have holes or masks, so not Hollows (
although, as has been mentioned, it's possible they're Visored
). And
when they dodged Renji and Ichigo at the end of the episode, that wasn't Shyunpo/Flash Step, because both Shinigami are proficient enough to counter that. So it was some unknown technique, more akin to true teleportation than the Shinigami 'fast stepping'
.

Overall I'm not especially impressed with the filler so far - it shows that Kubo Taito didn't write it. But I have enough free time that I won't begrudge 25 minutes a week to watch it.

Just watched episode 66 and may I say wow. I have a few points to bring up though.

Firstly I read somewhere that Kubo Taito rights the scripts for the anime as well as his normal part in writing the manga. If that is true then the fillers are really quiet different as I've read that they're similar to Death Note rather than the normal Bleach formula.

In this ep it was revealed at the three villains are in fact
modsouls like Kon. Most likely the advanced version that was scrapped which would explain their speed
. It seems weird though cause out of the three the girl seems to be the leader of the group. The other question that comes to mind revolves around the fact that the ending credits show 3 other people that could be villains on top of the 3 we've already met. Are they the same as the first 3 or are they something completely different? Hopefully we find out more.
