Desbreko Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 This shindig looks like the bomb diggity. Count me in.
TheShinje Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I'm keen as Colonel Mustard, in the kitchen, with the knives, preparing the cake.
Charles Posted November 5, 2015 Author Posted November 5, 2015 Seeing all of these faces from the past returning is fantastic. I'll be sure to update the original post.
Boo Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 (edited) Shut up, Allamorph. You walk around with knives. Edited November 15, 2015 by Boo truth
Allamorph Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Yes, Boo, we've established that the nesting is easily broken. Good job. +1 pat on the head. Japan 1
Allamorph Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Shut up, Allamorph. You walk around with knives. Also you're a big meanie poo head who makes me edit my posts when you point out my preposterousness so there.I do, in fact, walk around with knives. Do you not?
John Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I do, in fact, walk around with knives. Do you not?Knives are a half measure. I prefer true security.
Allamorph Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Knives are a half measure. I prefer true security....you prefer to wield a book. I mean, to each his own.
Japan Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Sure wield a book cause reading is fundamental and all that jazz.
Boo Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Weapons are stupid. Carrying them around is silly. James 1
Warlock Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I would not miss this for the world. Or at least, a fairly significant portion of it.
James Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I would not miss this for the world. Or at least, a fairly significant portion of it.So good to see more names from the past that I fondly remember! :D
Nomad Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Hmmm. All these folks. This sounds fun. I'll be up for it. It's been, what, 13 years since I've joined? I never really ventured too far outside of the Art area, but I always enjoyed spending my afternoons and evenings with a lot of you folks. Boo 1

I spent a lot of my free time here during those years and many of those usernames bring back memories!I'd love to see this happen.

TheShinje Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Leh's summary of his history summary just gave me a thought, does the Otakupedia still exist in some form? It might be a valuable resource to help us keep a track of who everyone is and who they may have turned into. ^.^
Petie Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 I should still have copies of it somewhere, I hope. I'll see if I can find it.
Shy Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I'll update the list shortly. The big day is coming up pretty quickly now! Can't wait! Hope you don't mind that I posted this up early, Charles! http://www.otakuboards.com/topic/45670-final-quest-for-glory-3-sign-ups/- Josh
Petie Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) Okay, so it took some digging but I found backups of the original Otakupedia's as well as what should be a complete database backup. I'll see what I can do about getting it all online and put up a link when it's ready.Edit:Seems to be working now: http://www.otakuboards.com/otakupedia/ Edited January 10, 2016 by Petie TheShinje and Mormoopid 1 1
Boo Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) Oh yeah, there was some important stuff on there. Thanks, Petie. Edited January 10, 2016 by Boo Added a thanks, because I'm a generally nice guy to everyone except Allamorph and Sandy, who are basically the same person.
Allamorph Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Good news, no one! I am not on duty on the 17th. I will most definitely be F5ing this place in another tab as much as I can that day ... assuming I don't stay in bed until noon or something.Hey, so, question. Is there any interest in a large-scale IM session that day? I have seen mention of the FaceBook chat deal, but since part of my deal has always been anonymity (and because I don't really feel like using my Thomas O'Malley alt much anymore), are there/can there be plans for something on another venue?I used to use AIM a crapton, but I think the last time I logged into it was maybe three years ago, about the time I lost contact with the Utah Crew. (Which ... isn't really applicable anymore since Beth is in Kansas now.) I am almost always on Skype, alternately pestering and not pestering Kei, but if there's a more preferred service I can adapt.Any other takers, or is the FaceBook too strong?
