1. Truly, experience is the only way we can give an opinion we can be sure of. I know that's something I like to say alot. So, yes, I also wait to see if I know what I am talking about.
2. Dude, not bad at all! Makes me think of someone taking a stick to an oil puddle and dragging it around a bit. First time, huh? I'm interesting to know what all you used, effects wise. It's got a painting texture thing going on the right side, a wing thing on the left, and some sort of inversed flare lens in the middle. Colors are...are...the colors are. Yeah. OO; Still, more patience than I got. I say make the text go from big on the left to small as it gets to the middle--make it look like it's getting sucked into the darkness that is. Heh. Dude. 8.5/10.
3. Oops, I just saw there was a lot more to the pic than when I first saw it! :bluesweat Like I said on AIM the other night, you are quite good, Kayla. I tried to pick a fav, only to fail. My only nitpick? If you can find someway to size your images down--makes it easier to view them. Please?
4. Halo stalked about, and glared. David had asked her to wait in this dank cave while he took care of some "business". "I swear, if he's off offing those kids--" Her tail lashed about in impatience. "I have half a mind to--OOOO!" She bunched up her fists in anger, her eyes glowing menacingly in the weak light of the cave entrance. Why she stayed put was beyond her. Maybe it was knowing that she had someone on her side. So to speak. At least she wasn't alone in wanting to rid the miserable world of those kids. She sat for a moment, cross legged, wrapping her tail over her lap; waving her free hand over her Crimson Grasp, she watched as the Sphere pulsed in response. I'm running. Something's after me. It has wings--big leather ones, like what a scavenger of some savage era long past might have. I'm safe. Or was. The thing leaps at me, digs its claws into me--I feel like I'm being impaled. Someone's in front of me. HELP ME! They get rid of the creature. Stare at me. Scowl. Walk away. Leaving me alone. Not alone. Please. Not alone. Not again. I wake up in a sweat. Clutching my knees. Weeping silently. No one has an answer for me...no one. Why can't I...be normal? And... The sound of David's footsteps alerted Halo. She quickly passed a hand over her eyes, the image vanishing. She then pulled herself up and crossed her arms, making sure her body language spoke of her lack of patience with him. "Good to see you too, Halo," he grinned. "Let's get this over with." "Trust me. You are going to like what you are about to hear." ~~~~~ OOC: Help me out, Takuya! :bluesweat
5. Ankle (pink) and David Jr. (white) QUESTION: What is the name of Tingle's OTHER look alike, what color is he, and how do you find him?
6. There we go. Elite got out what I could not. ^_^ EDIT I take it back--Heaven's Cloud's caption just made me bust out laughing. Heh.
7. *nods* I like it. Given as it is, it comes across as it should. *is stared at* What???? I like. 8/10.
8. orion and....the Dipper! (big or little? Got me) Trying this AGAIN...oy, heh. QUESTION: Can you pull anything out of the sea besides treasure chests (Wind Waker)? If so, what is it?
9. Halo hissed, her eyes glowing menacingly from the depths of her hood. She held a clawed hand to her head, as if she herself had been hit with the vines Sakura had called up. "Pathetic little upstarts--!" she swore. "They aren't much older than you, m'dear," a voice interrupted her. "Hello, David," Halo answered in a voice that far from welcoming. David smiled, in an arrogant manner, Halo thought. "Really, now, a shadow snake?" Halo examined her claws, fully intent on showing David she didn't care for his opinion. She wouldn't admit to feeling some ego bruising. "Just testing the babies," she snarled. David gave a short bark of a laugh. "We are all close together in age, Halo, and--" "Look, is there something you want, because I'm not going to wait around all night for them to find us." David cocked an eyebrow. "You're finally seeing it my way. Now, control your temper and come with me." Halo snarled again, her ruby eyes glaring at him, her pointed ears tilted back. Beneath her long cloak, her tail lashed in anger. "I believe if we work together, we can take them out, and claim the Light Sphere for our own." "Not one for small talk," Halo smirked. "Are you in, then?" "Until I get bored or something better comes along, yes." "Follow me, then," David repeated. "I'll do that. Just remember, you aren't the boss of me, human." David smirked to himself. "Indeed."
10. Indeed, love is a many definition word. Too easy slung around. For example: I love my God. I love my mom. I love cheesecake. I love my dog. I love my closest friends. I love my mentors. I love my darlin'. *smiles at him* It's all different. Most of the stuff I've heard described could fit in several categories, which scared me when I was younger. See, I have had several older male friends (re: mentors) over the course of my life. One day, in a fit of something akin to sinful horror, I asked my mother if I could love an older man without any of the "between the sheets" love. She told me it was possible. Which was a big relief. Would I do anything for cheesecake? Probably. Would I die in a close friend's stead? You bet. Would I change myself to please a mentor? Most likely. Here's what it comes to, for me: swearing yourself to one person (whether that is for all your life, or for the time that you swear yourself to, depends). When you would be that person's best friend, worst critic, best lover, like a parent, like a child, wanting to change for that person, but also wanting to help that person become the best they can be. It's a lot about sacrifices, too. Constant thought is an iffy thing. Stalkers can do that as well as people in love. So love is a two way thing (that's a given). Real love is not about one person giving their entire selves up for the other, but about both giving themselves up to each other, and giving parts of themselves (physically, spiritually, what have you) that they would never give to another. I could possibly be on the brink of love myself. Only a few times have I felt something close to the bottom end of this, but in the one case, he wanted me to give up myself without him giving himself up, and in the other, he wanted to give himself all up, but refused to let me give myself up. Love is about growing. And becoming better people for it. Making others happy is a start, but helping them discover themselves as well as you discovering yourself...it's wonderful. Have I rambled enough? ;)
11. The Metropolitan Museum of Art reveals their newest acquisiton: The Thinker, Part II: Getting A Head. *is booed out of the thread* ^^; ~~~~~~~~~~ Einstein, squared. ~~~~~~~~~~ *sigh* "At least my hair is behaving..." ~~~~~~~~~~ "So that's what they look like..."
12. http://www.itswalky.com/d/19990208.html The storyline I am referring to begins right about here. Runs through to about mid March. Don't expect any easy answers on suicide, though. If life had easy answers, life wouldn't be so frelling hard, now would it?
13. Makes me think of "Klonoa 2" for some reason. oO; That or mutated Legend of Zelda rupees. Indeed, I like the effect, but it does seem too bright. And the brightness of your subject sorta contrasts a little too much to the "sullen" background (though I think that background is shweet--oil on water). I...um...have no suggestions. Just thoughts. Nifties. Looks pretty professional. 9/10.
14. Yeah, that's the only thing that is bothering me, is the text color. It fades out into the empty space too easily, and the black to white just doesn't seem right for an otherwise saturated color image (frelling art classes! :bluesweat). Methinks you should do something to the text color, to make it stand out more. Other than that, still wonderful. Holding at 9/10.

Abduction

I couldn't see the entire image all at once, so the alien head was cut off. As a result, I felt like I was staring at a FMV closeup still of grass in a forest, caught in twilight. Pretty. I personally think it would look better without the alien part. I just might have to crop the little sucker and stick it on my desktop (won't share it if I do). I really REALLY like this one. 9.7/10.
16. I personally prefer the one you already have, Rikku. It seems that the image in your new banner is one of those common images being tossed around for FFX-2. And common images usually dull down the impact of a banner. The text is hiding--eeee! Heh, anyways, prettiful, but I still like your one you have now. 8.5/10.
17. 1. 11 hearts, minus heart pieces. (3 + 3 + 5) 2. 3 hearts. It's completely optional to pick up the Heart Containers for bosses, but it's recommended. Question: (easy one, really) What is the name of Romani's sister?
18. O, is that me? Oops, heh. :bluesweat OK, Question: Name each of the types of plushie weapons Lulu has (doubles do not count) and one of the FF games that it appeared in. (IE, if she had a Noxious Tonberry, you would say "Tonberry", and you could mention that it appeared in FF7 (though that was not the only game it showed up in).) (Five possible answers, plus her Lengendary.)
19. OOOOO! I like the Mascot idea! This reeks of creativity! Can you just image all the great costumes they have to make. Oh man, this is heaven for me. Gotta get the game, gotta gotta gotta! sage or anyone, do we have new screenshots, for the sphere jobs or otherwise? And a release date over here in the US, for that matter?
20. OOC: Don't worry, Takuya, you and I do work together. This is just Halo's lone wolf nature coming out. ^_~ ~~~~~~~~ Now, for my firssst victim... Halo concentrated on her link with the shadow serpent as it glided beneath the cover of foliage. A dark mist descended about the creature, but its eyes simply glowed with a sickly amber light. David must be here. Pfft. Like I really want to deal with Mr. Cool and Collective. The guy's too calculating for his own frelling good. No matter. I'm about to reduce the numbers of those brain deads down there. Sakura looked about her nervously, trying to see in the darkness. Behind her, she heard mutters and questioning voices asking about the sudden absence of light. Her eyes picked up twin lights glowing, coming nearer...fireflies? No...they moved together precisely, and glowed in a sickly way. Sakura stifled back a shriek of terror. Whatever it was obviously meant bad news. A sibilant hiss stirred on the wind, whispering in her ear. Sakura gasped. The twin lights were gazing intently on her now, thorn like pupils piercing into her own. Something slid across her, dry and smelling of death. "Um...guys...?" That's when the shadow serpent struck.
21. It isn't easy to get over...but...well, hmmm, how do I explain it? (Sorry, AIM's gone nutters on me, or I'd talk to you there.) We would always get a new hamster or gerbil within the month. Mom could always tell how it upset me when I lost one. Mind, each one was not a replacement, as I said, but an "add-on". A rodent that needed care as well. A reminder that life goes on, whether you're going with it or not. For Stormy, Midnight, Midnight's children, Snowball, Mina, Tony, and Connie. And TJ. Fuzzies rule.
22. And that is just plain unfair for the baby. This would be one of the strongest examples of hurting others with taking your own life. If you are really in the mind of self-destructing, then just have the strength enough to keep anyone else from following. Recently, I read a good webcomic about a goofy, happy go lucky guy who met this depressive gal, with the stark and dark view on life. It eventually got to the point where she felt he was being "dragged into her thought vortex"--he was drinking to escape the truths she had exposed him to. Pretty much, he was becoming as self destructive as she was. This leads to a party one night, where he walks out and drives off, stinking drunk. She chases after him, and, in an effort to keep him from getting into a wreck with this massive truck, she swerves so that it hits her instead. Kills her instantly. Would've been him if she hadn't. Whaddaya think? Was that suicide on her part? Was it justifiable? Being pregnant and committing suicide--I definitely do not see any reason that I could accept that as ok. I really can't. But that's my opinion.
23. *nuzzles up to her* Squeeka? *offers her a carrot* I've been there and done that. It amazes me how people that have never had hamsters or gerbils think that it is no big deal when they die. It is. I remember when I lost my first one. Bawled my heart out. You can never find a replacement. But you can always find a new friend, my dear. That's how I learned to love my new ones. *hugs her*
24. It would certainly make more sense, since Square started the story in the first place. It's like asking Michael Critchton to write a sequel for a Stephen King novel. It don't float. I'd prefer Square to have the story down. Hades, I'd prefer to be able to get my hands on FF6 again. @_@
